So i purchased a PC from a website about 2 weeks ago, was kept informed throughout the process what was happening and how it was progressing etc, then it got to dispatch and it was picked up by DPD. i was given an original estimate by them as 11:20am delivery so made plans to be available around that time which is oddly specific i know, but fine i go on about my day. it was only 20 hours later and at only 3 hours before the original estimated delivery time i get a text message telling me "your delivery will be between 15:55 and 16:55" and that "you cannot change your 1 hour delivery time slot" so a 4.5k PC which would need setting up and all the downloads and reinstalls of programmes and stuff from the previous pc that in itself could take hours to days.
Ive attempted to contact customer service but theres no phone number online according to a google search so sent an email. i would suggest that they consider products and orders be delivered in accordance to certain appliances and how long it can take to set up and install in there electronic service. contact with the customer to ensure that the time slot is acceptable, customers who are receiving parcels don't get a choice of courier but we shouldn't be forced to accept the strict this is when its being delivered whether you like or not. people have lives too and to send a text at such short notice saying a time significantly different to its original estimate is unacceptable.
