We bought an expensive ceiling fan from these people. We were told it was the best thing since ever and guaranteed. We had them install it to preserve the warranty. Well the fan has developed a problem. I called and e-mailed several times. Here is the quote from the actual e-mail I received dated 12.23.2015: "It has been explained to me that Dan's Fan City does not service or repair fans unless it is under a warranty claim. Even with a warranty claim we do not perform house calls." I was stunned, where exactly do they think they installed the fan? At the bus station?! This is my 2015 favorite for the stupidest respond this year.

We bought 5 fans from Dan's fan city in Fort Myers fl. All of them hum loudly cost us $2700.00. We advise Dans Fan and they had the installer evaluate and he confirms they do hum an we had a legit complaint. Now Dans Fan is offering us 25% restocking charge cause now the can't sell it as new fans... Excuse me? I suppose they will put the fans on sale and resell it to unsuspected customer and charge them additional restocking charges, I guess that will cover their cost.

We bought a $200.00 fan from Lighting First for the spare bedroom and it works perfectly.

The installer did tell me Dans Fans fans are now being manufactured in China, and we are not the only complaining and they will not do anything about.
