This business is absolutely terrible. We reached out to Dakoma based on a recommendation from a contractor who claimed to have used their services for 15 years. Our issue was a leak where the flat roof met the tiled roof, which happened to be made of poured concrete. My husband made it clear from the beginning that it was a concrete roof. One of their employees went up to inspect the problem and took some pictures. We also asked them to plug some holes on the roof from a satellite dish, which they agreed to do without any issues. They provided an estimate for replacing the flat roof, which we agreed to and gave them a deposit.

However, things took a turn for the worse when they finally came to do the job after a 5-week delay for a permit. Once they went up to the roof, they suddenly claimed that they couldn't proceed because it was made of concrete, despite my husband informing them about it beforehand. They denied ever being told about the concrete roof. In the end, they just sealed it and left. To make matters worse, we received an invoice stating that we owed more money for a permit that we didn't even need. When we tried to contact them to inquire about the high cost, they completely ignored our calls, texts, and emails. We even tried reaching out to specific individuals, like *** and ***, but received no response.

Then, out of the blue, they showed up one day to supposedly fix the holes from the dish. However, instead of doing that, they removed the dish from the side of our house, cut the wires, and plugged the holes. Now, no one is answering our calls to explain what is going on. This whole ordeal has been ongoing since March, and it's now July.

Based on this terrible experience, I would definitely not recommend Dakoma to anyone.

I had a really unfortunate experience with Dakoma roofing. One of their employees pretended to be from the solar company my mother was working with and tricked her into signing a contract. To make matters worse, they began working on the roof without obtaining the necessary permit until two days later. As if that wasn't bad enough, they didn't bother to cover the exposed area after removing the shingles, leading to water leaks and damage. The owner of the company has repeatedly lied, claiming they paid extra for the permit, but it's clear that they didn't. On top of that, the owner had a heated and aggressive conversation with my mother, trying to pressure her into allowing them to continue the work. Understandably, my mother has lost all trust in this company. The original solar company had actually applied for the permits a month ago, but they still haven't been approved. Frustrated, my mother went to the city and requested the permit to be revoked, and she even has a signed and notarized document from the city to support her case. Shockingly, Dakoma roofing has now placed a lien on our house for the work they started illegally. To add insult to injury, they have left their equipment on the roof and are refusing to retrieve it. We have no choice but to involve a lawyer to resolve this matter.
