Dairy Queen wrongful termination

I was just recently fired from the Dairy Queen on S University Blvd. in Mobile, Alabama by the General Manager Clarence De Loach. He had mentioned to our Assistant Managers that he was looking for any reason to fire me. He would tell the other managers that I needed to be in complete uniform and not have my pant legs rolled up. (which was done when the AC broke in the building and he would not get it fixed) He never gave me a verbal warning, never asked me to do or fix anything about my uniform, we were allowed to wear shorts as well so I only assumed rolling my pant leg up mid calf was okay, I also never received a written warning, a write up, or any document of any kind.

So on 9/6/2017 I came in for my night shift, and Mrs. Thelma had been there running the shift before me. I come in she has already switched the drawers, did the deposit, and count the safe. It was my fault for not recounting as I should have.

At the end of the night I got the pay outs for all the drawers, went in the office made my deposit made sure the drawers were $200 then I counted the safe, it was $505. Clarence always told us to write the amount on the envelopes we put the receipts from the payouts in and that is what I did. locked up and went home, the next morning he called me and said he had seen where I counted and asked if i knew anything about where the money went, I had told him no and that all the drawers were $200 exact and that I had not counted the safe after Mrs. Thelma left. He said he was going to go to the bank and do some digging and try to find out where it went. Later on that day he calls back saying that the authorities are getting involved to watch the cameras to see who took it, proceeding with telling me that the paper trail ended with me and that I was responsible for this missing $100. I told him that I did not take that money and he could watch the tapes all day long and see that I did not. He said that he would have me arrested if I did not put the $100 back. Mind you I am a 23 year old female single parent working at a Dairy Queen as a "Shift Lead - Manager" that did not get paid a Shift Lead - Manager hourly pay OR have proper training for. Clarence just threw that job at me, he never made me watch any videos for knowledge or go over anything with me. I go into work Saturday and give the $100 of my hard earned money to the assistant manager for her to do with what they had to. I was told by Clarence that I could not work there and had to leave until the investigation was over. The next morning he calls to tell me I am no longer employed with them. I called HR to ask how do I receive my christmas fund money and she told me that the computer did not state I was terminated but it would be on my next check. So I got her to leave a message for Mr. Rusty to talk to him about this termination. He said that it was my fault for not following procedures by counting the safe when i first got there which is true, but when i told him Clarence threatened to have me arrested whether i took it or not he denied that. Rusty also told me that they did not need evidence that I took the money to fire me just that it came up missing on the shift when i was there. Again i was being treated as a manager and was not properly trained or paid as such. Clarence turns his phone on do not disturb after about 9 pm so there is no way of reaching him at night rusty said there should have been more ways i could have reported the missing money like calling clarence, or emailing people. clarence also never informed me of any persons email that i should contact if this problem were to have ever arose prior to this. I have paperwork and documents showing clarence emailing HR trying to obtain counseling forms with as much information as possible to be able to prevent me from filing unemployment. i ALSO have documents showing where the stores overages were $283 a week after that incident with the hundred dollars. doesnt add up

also, like I stated in my previous complaint, i never received any type of warning for anything. then out of no where there are 3 that he sat down and wrote all the same day typing different dates on them. 2 of which are for the same exact thing and only the one time it happened so that technically only counts as one right up not two, also i did not sign any of these so i was unaware of them and did not go over the consequences and further action that would take place had they happened again. Clarence did not inform me of any of this because he was wanting to get rid of me already, so he just made this his green light and went with it.

Clarence obviously does not know what it is like working there, especially at night because he is never there working at all. He comes in every now and then does inventory, the truck order, make a mess leave boxes everywhere for us to clean up and have to take out, he will lock himself in the office when we are under staffed and have a line wrapped around the building. So he must not get how it really is working there and closing that place every night

Dairy Queen unethical behavior

On Sept. 15th 2017 at 12:32pm I was in the drive thru of the DQ located at 4902 Brownsboro Rd in Louisville, KY. As I pulled up to the drive thru line there were currently tow cars ahead of me( A white cargo van and a navy Nissan Altima), I thought to myself YAY, I'll be back to the office faster than I though. I was so wrong! I waited in for about 10 mins before it was finally my turn to order. As I pull up I hear a lot of background commotion coming from the speaker. I patiently wait, until she asks what I want. As I attempt to order the speaker cuts off and I'm left with dead air. Then she comes back on and I wait for her to tell me to go ahead. However, all I hear next is OH MY GOD, I CANT F***ing do this S***! And I say excuse me! The speaker goes silent again. Then about a minute later she comes back on and tells me to go ahead with my order. I say I have two orders, and order the first. She tells me the total and says "go on with the second", I ask her to read it back to me(since they seem to be having major issues) she huffs and then reads it back WRONG! I correct her and then go on with my second order($5 chicken strip lunch with onion rings in sub of fries and a side of honey mustard and gravy) to this order I get "Are you F***ing serious? I can't! OH MY GOD!"
At this point I am beyond upset and I ask if there is a manager I can speak to...dead air. So I pull out of line, park and go inside. I ask if there is a manager available to which the girl(drive thru head set on) laughs at me and points aimlessly to a older man behind the ice cream making station. After a few mins he comes over and I explain how I was cursed at and the OMG's that were spewed as well. He casually apologizes and says he'll 'talk to her' and wait for more and that all I get. I ask if that's it and he ask me what I want him to do, he cant send her home because they're swamped. I thanked him for his 'help'.
I would like for this employee to be terminated or atleast reprimanded at the very least. I mean I have NEVER had an experience like this before! It's outrageous and quite frankly unacceptable!

I have attached a video.

Dairy Queen manager bad customer service

I pulled up to drive thru window in Wharton Tx.
I was told to park, my order was going to be taken to me.
After 20 min I decides to get off.
As I waited my order came out I said no I want my money back.
The manager came out very rude and told me it had not been 20 minutes it had been less (18 to be exact.)
I told him I did not care all I wanted was my money back.
He told me I had to pay for the drink!
That got me very pissed off INSTEAD OF EXCUSION HIS SELF I GOT TO PAY FOR THEIR MISTAKES!
I told him to get me whoever he needed to speak to, that will help me with this he said he was the only manager in and if I needed anyone else he would call the police.
I payed for my drink and got a few dollors back.
I really don't think any manager should be talking to a customer like that this is very bad customer service in a very long time to wait and drive thru this was my first time and last time visiting DQ.

Dairy Queen service/restraunt

Hi there! I went to the Dairy Queen located at 12902 Bandera rd. Helotes, TX 78203 tonight. Boy was it a uncomfortable scene! 2 of my friends & I went through the drive through and the lady on the Mic was being rude because we wanted separate orders, so we just went inside. I need to let you know that this location is HORRIBLE. Staff was just walking around, on their phones! And were so RUDE. No one even bothered to greet us when we walked in. Instead they made us all feel uncomfortable. It was a weird scene. There was no food around, dirty buckets were touching the ice cream machine, and the staff was literally "schlump walking" around the restaurant! Including the manager! The manager looked homeless! Heck, I thought all staff looked dirty and homeless. I went in at 9 pm. And in my opinion even though they were about to close in an hour.. they need to be presentable! Jasmine Grenado was the member that took our orders and Man, was she horrible! Super rude. Didn't make eye contact, and didn't say you're welcome after I said thank you 3 times! All in all, someone needs to go in to this DQ location asap! I am a huge fan of DQ but going into this restraunt totally changed my point of view and made me feel very uncomfortable. I hope you consider visiting this place soon, in my opinion YOU NEED TO. Thank you,
Kelly Guajardo

Dairy Queen service

On 9-12 I visited the Dairy Queen on US30 in Merrillville, Indiana about 1pm. I wanted to submit a survey but got no receipt. The cone I ordered was handed to me with no napkin and the employee had no gloves on. I don't know how you train your employees but I work in a bakery and we handle all foods with gloves. I will not purchase anything if the employee has no gloves on. No gloves, No napkin and No gloves. Not a way to run a business that handles food.

Dairy Queen poorly trained staff

On the evening of Saturday, September 9, 2017 I went to the Dairy Queen location on Admiral's Road in Victoria, British Columbia, and found the service to be lacking.

This is usually an excellent location, and until now I have found all the staff to be exemplary and courteous. However they have recently hired a middle aged gentleman to work as a cashier and to fill orders, and while he is friendly and cheerful he unfortunately needs more training.

I had ordered two regular sundaes to go. He gave me a single small sundae (for reference, the tip of the ice cream curl was below the rim of the sundae cup) with no lid and no spoon and went to the back. I had to ask another girl for a lid and a spoon, and for my second sundae (which she made at the usual size). Although she looked horrified at the size of the sundae he had made, she said she wasn't really allowed to remake it.

So I ended up paying full price for half a sundae, and had to go back for such luxury items as a spoon and a lid. For a location that is usually one of the best this was very poor service!

Dairy Queen promotion blizzard

My name is Alex De Leon, My family and myself went to the dairy queen in Pharr Tx. We had bought a blizzard a day before among other items and then returned to get the promotion of the blizzard for $.99 cents. When we got there the assistant manager told us that the receipt was not stamp and he was not going to give us the promotion. We told him that it was his staff the one that did not stamp the receipt (We do not know about the promotions rules of course). He said well i wasn't here yesterday, i don't know what happened. He then said I'm not going to give you the promotion because it's not stamped. We then asked him for a 1800 number and he said we don't have one. We found one on google which I contacted 3 times and have yet to receive an apology from this establishments management. I'm very dissapointed with dairy queen company for not showing basic customer service to an assistant manager. The mistake was made by one of his employees and instead of fixing it, he basically made it seem that it was our fault that the employee did not stamp the receipt so we could get the promotion.

Dairy Queen blizzard's

We ordered 4 Blizzards a week ago Tues & did not get what we ordered, I called & talked to a young man who said he was the Supervisor/Manager of the Champlin Store. We asked for Cheesecake in two of the blizzard & there was none in there, he proceeded to say that he made the one & knows he put it in there & states that the cheese cake wasn't set yet & had to poor some of it in there, I said well even if it wasn't set yet, we should be able to taste it in there. He called two day later to say he watched the tape on the other employee & they also put the cheesecake in, I said the hell they did after he continued to argue with me about how they put it in there. One there were no chunks of cheesecake & if he poured it in like he said they did, we should be able to taste it. I received a nasty envelope/letter today in the mail. This employee needs to be fired! This is not the first time the staff including the manager have been out right RUDE! This letter just proves it!

Dairy Queen menu

Our family of 5 goes to dairy queen on an average of twice a month. We all order meals with dessert which usually costs between $60 and $80 . Today on our way home from the lake we planned a dairy queen stop for supper. 4 out of our 5 upgrade our fries to chilli cheese fries no longer available...2 of our 5 order chilli cheese dogs also no longer available...my favorite and only burger I like is the mushroom swiss also UNAVAILABLE so guess what we went next door to subway and next time we will not be stopping at dairy queen. This is only 1 small family of five you have disappointed tremendously however I wonder how many more feel the same. Food for thought.

Dairy Queen concern about discontinuation of blizzard

I would like a return of the s'mores blizzard that was discontinued in 2015. Tragic. It was the best blizzard on the menu and you just took it away... like we wouldn't even notice. It was such a hit in my hometown and I would go often just for that s'mores blizzard covered in crushed graham crackers. It would mean so much if you could return it for the fall season. Thank you.

Dairy Queen drive thru was very slow

Hello I am writing in regards to Dairy Queen on 600 Fair Avenue in San Antonio Tx. this took place on 9/6/2017 at 7:31P.M.check number 235
Ashley A was the person who took the order.it took 20+ minutes to get one hamburger I was very disappointed in the slow service I was driving thru due to being in a hurry to get to work and this order made me late. I thought going through a drive thru was suppose to be fast. I asked her why it took so long and she says well we are busy but yet there was only 5 cars in the parking lot. I just wanted to bring this to your attention please forward this to the person in charge at that location. thank you and have a Great Day

Dairy Queen customer service

I went to the Dairy Queen at Yonge and Empress in Toronto. Normally the blizzards are okay there, not great, not bad. But today (9/8/17) the girl with the blue hair behind the counter took her sweet time coming to get my order because she was too busy chatting with the dude who was cleaning the machine, even though he made it clear I was there. Then, when she made the blizzard, she somehow managed to only get the toppings in the bottom of the blizzard and kinda mixed at the top. The middle had nothing but vanilla ice cream. And this isn't the first time she's done this to me and my friends.

Dairy Queen customer service

I went to Dairy Queen 9/7/2017 around 9:15ish. I was with a friend and we both had a seperate order. She wanted the Royal Reese's Brownie Blizzard. After saying this, the waiting game began. One person after another would ask "sorry ma'am, what did you want for the first order" so I repeated myself in what I thought was a "loud" enough tone. ( oh, I also have a sinus issue right now so I may or may not sound nasally). However, after being told to wait, and have some one asks me the same question, someone finally asked me to pull around. Now, while I'm waiting, I'm not sure they knew that their headset was still on, so I could hear the "what does she want" and "what is she talking about" comments. I pull up to the window and have the not so wonderful pleasure of 'Derricka' helping with my order. She begins to ask what we would like to order, so I tell her "my friend just wants a medium triple truffle", Derricka confirms that's what i want and then asks "so you don't want the Reese's brownie blizzard?" ? (We assumed they didn't get that because the whole team was having a hard time) so we say, yes if you have that then I would like a medium). So then, there was someone in the back who immediately got frustrated when they were informed that they needed to make a medium instead of a small. I cancel my second order because I was too frustrated and didn't need anymore of this young lady's attitude. She takes the card we gave to pay for the food. She hands it back, apologizes, and asks if we need napkins or anything. My friend shakes her head and says yes while looking directly at her, Derricka looks and proceeds to stick her head out the window saying "I can't hear y'all, you talking to low and it's loud in here so..." I say "NapKins" she then balls up a couple of napkins, tosses them to me and then quickly says "okay have a nice day". Then before she closes the window, she then proceeds to say to the rest of her coworkers "what? I couldn't hear her and she was talkin to low" making sure I heard her. She gave the worst customer service and was completely rude in front of someone who is giving money to a business. You should conduct yourself in a professional manner no matter what.

Dairy Queen blizzard

I recently went to the Dairy Queen in Cedar Hill, Texas. I have given this location numerous chances. Everytime, I keep hoping the next time will be better, but each visit leaves me disappointed. My favorite menu item is the blizzard. It is so hard to get a good blizzard. I have easy access to 4 Dairy Queens, but only one is very good. The other 3 are old, dirty, and bad food with slow service. I know each restaurant is franchise owned, but if headquarters wants to keep Dairy Queen with a good reputation, something needs to be done. There are too many Dairy Queens that are giving the business a bad name. Too many people are trying to run a business, when they aren't truly prepared to do the business right. For the sake of the Dairy Queen reputation, please do something to remedy these restaurants that are not operating within the frachises top standards. I have already boycotted 3 Dairy Queens. The only decent one is 10 miles away in Midlothian, Texas -- now, they are doing things right!

Dairy Queen manager lies

I broke my tooth & clearly the Manager was aware & in agreeing that it was dairy queen @ fault he even told me he'd write me a check himself for my dental visit. Well when it came down to it he not only lied but denied telling me he'd pay for it. Seriously? Isn't that what insurance is for? Other employees witnessed it & was instructed to remove the food in question & manager inspected it & in fact found the whole container contained the food that broke my tooth.

Dairy Queen racial prejudice

On 8/29/17 around 3pm I paid for my girlfriend's ice cream and Mary was taking our order. She wouldn't make eye contact and then she refused to hand me my money and my receipt but tried to hand It to my girlfriend until my girlfriend stepped back from her. I'm African American and I felt it was very discriminatory towards me. Every time I've come into Dairy Queen she's acted strangely towards me.

Dairy Queen customer service

Went to the Dairy Queen in Bellevue NE on 9/4/2017 through the drive-thru. Very rude costumer service got cut off when ordering then when went to window while talking and finishing ordering she kept shutting the drive-thru window on me. Through the side window I see Crystal I know this is not how it was spelt on her badge but she proceed to eat out of one my blizzard then hand it to me. I confronted her on the issue and she denied it...wish I had my phone out to record this! The other blizzard was not served upside down as promised or it's free it had a plastic top on it. Son opened it up to eat it and it dripped all down his legs. Horrible experience one blizzard was like milk and the other was trash because who would eat a blizzard someone else ate out of. Our box of dilly bars we received taste icy and like they have been frozen wrong

Dairy Queen false advertising/ outdated signage

Hello!

We just left a Dairy Queen store on Mission Street in Mount Pleasant, Michigan. We saw a sign that advertised "Buy One Blizzard, Get One for $.99". But when we got to the counter and pointed to the sign, we were denied the advertised price. We were also told the advertised "Blizzard of the Month" was not available and they had not changed the signs for that either and were not yet serving the new "BOM" flavor. Without apology, the girl said their manager was on vacation and both signs were wrong because, after all, "it is Labor Day." That didn't make any sense at all. Personally, if I ran an ice cream store, I would make sure my store was well-managed and stocked and signage was correct to provide good customer service for the last big holiday summer weekend.
This is false advertisement. The cashier should have given us the price on the sign. We bought 6 small Blizzards. I would like to request a gift card in the amount of $9 for the difference in price from $3.99 to $.99 for the three small Blizzards.

My address is 9072 Bailey Drive NE, Ada, MI 49301. Thankyou!

Sincerely,

Juliet Hoke

Dairy Queen blizzard

On Sunday I went to Dairy Queen to take advantage of the Buy one Blizzard get one for 99 cents. I ordered a Hawaiian & Strawberry Cheesequake blizzard. Unfortunately, when I got home I noticed both were wrong. They were both Oreo mixed with cheesecake (not even a blizzard) originally I was going to forgive this, but I am deeply disappointed and decided to write a formal complain. I am highly disappointed. Especially since an Oreo cheesecake blizzard is not even a menu option.

Dairy Queen blizzards

Took my 12yr old little sister and my 5yr old daughter to get a blizzard after school, order us each one (medium, small and a mini) each different kinds, after waiting in line for 10min she hand me the kids blizzards then mine, I told her mine was NOT right (I'd know we go once a week for many years now) I pay, she snatched the money out of my hand and told me it WAS RIGHT, I leave, I take a bite and turned back around because it was NOT right, get back there in line AGAIN, pull up to the window and told her it was NOT right, she gets a major attitude rolling her eyes and arguing (I paid for a medium chocolate extreme with extra extra everything) it didn't have ANY chocolate sauce AT ALL and had m&ms, she snatched it out my hand AGAIN and still arguing it's right and says (WHAT THE HELL YOU WANT ME TO DO ABOUT IT) I told her to fix it, another girl makes it gives it to her and she literally tossed it at me, it went all over my BRAND NEW car on the inside of door and all over my arm, she shuts the window and ignored me. It still didn't have chocolate, by then my 5yr old is crying because hers was wrong too. My granny took me once a week to get one when I was little I'm now almost 25, now I highly doubt I'll ever spend another penny at any dairy queen. This is flat out RIDICULOUS!
