On 6/12, my 2005 *** got towed from my place. D&L Autobody & Towing LLC, *** towed it. I told the driver that the car was junked. So, I had to get a new title. The title was sent to my old address. When I got it, I called the company and told the lady that I had the title. She said they didn't need it because the car was junked on 9/3. But now, I need a receipt to show the tax collector in *** that I don't have the car anymore. I called D&L Autobody to tell them I need it. They said I have to pay $199.00 to get the junked receipt. I gave them the title when I went on 6/17 @ about 12:20. Should there be a fee if they got a junk receipt?

My cars been towed 3 times from my place. Everytime has been an extremely illegitimate, as this company will do anything and reach as far as possible to tow your vehicle. On 5/15 at 1:30am D and L towing took my 2011 *** from my home, where it was parked in a parking lot, not in operation, did to the registration had expired 3 weeks ago. They charged us 216.Xx to get our car. It was an increase of 50$ than normal due to some "after hours fee" although we picked up the car at 1pm on a Sunday. We understand the car registration has lapsed as of about 3 weeks ago and we are working on having this corrected but the car should not have been stolen from our home when it was no I'm use. Now we are scared they will steal it again while we work on the reregistration. We understand a car can be towed if in operation and unregistered but not parked at our home. This company is extremely rude, has the worst reviews on *** of any company I have ever seen. My car was towed 2 prior occasions, once because my tag fell off the mirror but you could see it on the floor and it was my car that was parked in the pregnant resident space for the last 2 years. You could see the tag on the floor if you looked into the window, and another time was during contruction, they asked us to move our cars. I did move to the correct zone, completely out of the way but I didn't have a "temporary parking pass" over top my permanent resident tag that was clearly showing, so the towed me out of a space were I wasn't in the way and it was a visitor spot. I guess I needed a temporary construction sticker tag to hang over my regular permanent resident tag even though I was in a visitor slot. Also they are a cash only business and don't even have an ATM. My neighbor who lives here had her car towed last year because her tag fell off and was on her seat. She's been living here for over 20 years. They do anything they can to tow you, this is the most predetory company.
