CSX Transportation review: CSX engine has been idling for 8+ hours behind my home! ( 1 comment)

A CSX engine has been idling since 2pm this afternoon behind my home! My 88 yr old mothers bedroom is on back of house closest to tracks and she is bed ridden so I can't move her to another room. She CAN NOT REST with those airbreaks hissing and the rumble of engine going. While it was day light the TV/Music muffled it but now it is bedtime for her and THIS IS Ridiculous! My dog is having anxiety as well because its making so much noise. Its one thing to park extra cars back there which they do often on the backtrack, but to have an active running motor ALLLLLLL DAY LONG! This has never happened before and she has been here over 60 years. Why can't they move to a commercial part of tracks further down instead of being in residential area? We are in Durham NC between Riddle road and Cornwallisl Rd.

I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM, TRAINS IDLE ALL NIGHT LONG, AND THEN MOVE EARLY IN THE MORNING AND MAKE MORE NOISE. I/M 1/2 MILE OR FARTHER FROM TRACKS, AND MY HOUSE SHAKES WITH SOME OF THE ENGINES, SOME TRAINS ARE TOLERABLE, AND THE HORN NOISE DOES NOT BOTHER ME, JUST THAT LOW DEEP NOISE. SOME TRAINS CAN GO BY WITH OUT DISTURBING ANYONE, AND WHY IS IT EARLY IN THE MORNING AND LATE AT NIGHT?
