After receiving a poor experience at CSL Plasma in St. Paul, MN, I wanted to share my thoughts on this establishment. Unfortunately, I had a less than adequate experience with staff that appeared to be incompetent and unprofessional.

Despite their claims to prioritize their donors, I found that they were more in "CYA mode" rather than looking out for my wellbeing. Over the years, they allowed me to donate despite my latex allergy, without providing latex-free materials like tape, wrap, or gloves. I never had any issue during this time. However, when a new employee lacked knowledge regarding my condition, they permanently deferred my ability to donate. What's more, they didn't appear to be sympathetic to my condition, which is noted all through my file.

According to the Red Cross, there are other materials that can be used as a substitute for latex. Still, CSL Plasma refused to make necessary accommodations, leaving me feeling concerned about their regard for my health.

Moreover, their unprofessional behavior didn't end there. During my time at the business, staff members would talk poorly about other colleagues and donors on the donation floor. I found this to be very unprofessional and discouraging, which turned me off. In fact, some donors wouldn't donate when certain employees were working because of their behavior.

Overall, I would not recommend CSL Plasma based on my experience. In my opinion, their discourteous behavior and approach to safety and health requirements for donors is alarming.

I recently went to a CSL Plasma Center to donate plasma as a healthy individual who qualifies for their requirements, and to make some extra cash. The screening process seemed excessively long and a staff member would disappear for extended periods without any explanation. Additionally, I was told by one of the nurses that I was outside of their age range, which according to their website is 18 to 74. I respectfully pointed out their website's age range to her, but she denied it and told me not to get nasty with her. This was a concerning experience, and it emphasizes the importance of properly training staff at all times to keep their customers informed and satisfied.

Furthermore, I was questioned about a small, non-malignant squamous cell carcinoma that I recently had removed by my dermatologist. This was a minor issue, yet the staff refused my donation because of the stitches that had yet to be removed. It was disappointing to be turned away for such a minor issue, especially considering I had already made the effort to come in and donate.

The final straw was when I was told that I needed a doctor's report saying that my use of a walker was not resulting in any health reasons that would prevent me from donating plasma. This inquiry was regarding a relatively minor neurological issue affecting my back, which my neurologist was monitoring, and by no means is it health-related. It is frustrating to have to jump through so many hoops just to donate my plasma and receive the money I am entitled to.

Overall, I am strongly reconsidering going back to CSL Plasma for any further donations based on my experience. It was very disorganized and seemed like the staff did not have a clear understanding of how to handle issues that were not major health concerns. There is definitely room for improvement in the way this facility treats its customers.

While this system may be fair, it can lead to a crowded waiting area, especially during peak hours.

CSL Plasma offers a tempting incentive of $1000 (and up to $1100) for the first month, which is communicated clearly on their website. However, when I visited the center, I saw a paper on the wall that suggested a different payment amount after the fifth donation. This was a bit confusing, and I had to double-check to make sure that I wasn't being short-changed. It's also worth noting that donations beyond the first month are compensated based on weight and plasma volume, which can lead to an unfair advantage for those who weigh more than 150 pounds.

Despite these concerns, I must say that the employees at CSL Plasma are friendly and welcoming. Most of the phlebotomists are skilled and efficient, and I never had to wait too long before being seen. I particularly appreciated how accommodating one of the phlebotomists was when I requested a different person to draw my blood. This level of professionalism and courtesy made my experience more enjoyable overall.

Overall, I think that CSL Plasma is a decent option for those looking to donate plasma. It has its faults, but the friendly staff and convenient location make it worth considering. Thankfully, with a bit of research, you can make an informed decision and choose a center that best suits your needs.

If CSL Plasma wants to maintain their reputation and continue to provide lifesaving plasma, they must make changes to properly value and compensate their donors.

As a long-time donor at CSL Plasma, I have always followed the guidelines and procedures expected of me during each visit. Although I encountered some difficulties with staff members who performed less-than-ideal blood draws, I remained committed to the cause and continued to donate regularly. However, my experience took a downward turn when a staff member convinced me to donate my blood for COVID-19 antibodies. When I disclosed my COVID-19 status, I was treated poorly and made to feel like I had jeopardized the safety of others. Despite explaining to them that I had not been sick while donating, they chose to reject me from donating permanently. This treatment was particularly disheartening after years of dedicated service to CSL Plasma. Although it was a difficult decision, I have decided to discontinue donating to CSL Plasma because the experience has been getting worse over time. I do not recommend that others risk being treated without respect or fairness, and I thank CSL Plasma for their services, but I personally will not be visiting any more.

In addition to this, they seemed to be understaffed because it would take ages to get my vitals checked. There was one instance where I was deferred from donating for 30 days, which was fine. On a positive note, I was excited to learn that CSL Plasma was opening a location near my residence. However, given my less-than-stellar experience, I'm no longer enthusiastic about it. Overall, I wouldn't recommend CSL Plasma if you are looking for a plasma donation facility that respects your time and health choices.

This behavior can create an uncomfortable and unprofessional work environment, and it's concerning that nothing seems to be getting done about it. In a field as important as healthcare, it's essential that every staff member takes their professional responsibilities seriously.

There are some exceptions to this issue, fortunately. Sarah, a male employee with freckles, and a lady with ponytail locks are among the staff members who do maintain a professional demeanor. However, other employees, such as "the female with bumps all over her face, with red dreads", and a short lady with braids, seem to be "cool with Brittany" and therefore not upholding the standards that donors expect from medical professionals.

It's also concerning that when Dave, the manager or others in management positions are not present, some employees appear to act as if they'll be able to "fix the issue" of unprofessional behavior, and then try to ban donors from asking questions or making complaints. This kind of behavior is not acceptable and needs to be addressed by the higher-ups at CSL Plasma.

Ultimately, if CSL Plasma wants to maintain a reputation as a professional and trustworthy place to donate plasma, it's crucial that all staff members uphold the proper standards of professionalism. Brittany, and others who engage in unprofessional behavior, need to do better, and management at CSL Plasma must take a stronger stance in enforcing professional conduct standards.

As someone who has been giving plasma for several months now, I was in search of a new facility due to my regular location being booked up. I came across CSL Plasma on 1960, and although it's in a rougher area, I decided to give it a try. My first experience there wasn't the most positive one, as I was turned away due to a bruise on my arm. However, I went back once the bruising had cleared and was able to donate.

Although I appreciated being able to donate, I found the process to be quite disorganized. The staff seemed inexperienced and the facility wasn't as well-maintained as others I have been to. Additionally, I felt like I was being discriminated against due to possibly being the only white person there. The nurse even claimed that I didn't have good veins, which I found odd because other facilities had never said that before.

Despite these negatives, my main purpose in donating plasma is to help those in need, and that's exactly what my donation will do no matter which facility it goes to. Overall, I will continue to donate plasma, but I will likely go back to my previous facility due to the better experience they provide.

During the screening process, I informed the lady in the booth about my tattoos and piercings, and she asked me how long it had been since my last touchup. I told her it had been 6 months, and we carried on with the screening process.

For two months, I had no issues during my donations until one day, I was confronted by an employee sporting piercings on her face. She called me out on my tattoos, and I found out that I had been permanently deferred from donating plasma. It was incredibly disappointing that all of this happened because the lady in the booth during my screening process did not follow the policy correctly, and it caused a major inconvenience for me.

Although CSL Plasma ended up not being a great experience for me, if I were ever able to go back, I would suggest trying out Telacris on Ayers by the bus station. I heard they have a lovely waiting area and pay more than CSL Plasma. All in all, my experience with CSL Plasma is not one that I would recommend, but everyone's experiences can vary, so it is up to the individual to decide.

et me tell you about my experiences with CSL Plasma. Unfortunately, it hasn't been the best. When I visit the Trenton NJ location, I always have a problem with the head nurse. She can be very rude and comes across like she's doing me a favor by being there. It's not a good feeling, especially when I'm already a bit nervous about the whole plasma donation process.

One particular issue I have is with the calibration of the machines, especially the scale. It's not uncommon for me to weigh in at 230 pounds one day and then 204 pounds just 2 days later. Surely, I didn't lose 26 pounds in that time. Last year, the same nurse even asked me what I eat because I had lost 20 pounds over 6 months. But it's not as simple as her assuming I'm on a diet. I work in a field where my weight fluctuates throughout the year- I gain weight in the winter months and lose it during summer. Plus, my job as a flooring installer in New Jersey means I'm often sweating profusely in the high humidity. I don't appreciate feeling judged or criticized for something that is out of my control.

To make matters worse, the nurse who I have had issues with is always the one to turn me away when I try to donate. It's frustrating and has caused me to feel like I'm not welcome there. Recently, another donor became so fed up with her attitude that he lashed out and told her to go F herself. While I don't condone that behavior, I do understand his frustration. It's not just him- it's happened to me too.

That's why I'm planning to call CSL Plasma headquarters to report this person. She simply should not be working there if she can't treat people with respect and dignity. I'm also concerned about the accuracy of the scales and plan to reach out to the Department of Weights and Measures to investigate. It's important to me that this facility is operating in a fair and just manner.

As a new donor to CSL Plasma, I was excited to be able to donate and help those in need. However, my experience with the team there was less than satisfactory. As a "red", meaning a new donor, I expected to have experienced employees helping me throughout the process - unfortunately, this wasn't the case.

I had given the employee the chance to stick me, as he had claimed to be one of their best. Unfortunately, he was unable to find my vein and my machine continued to beep. Another employee had to come and restick me, but sadly it wasn't much better. The manager came and tried to help adjust the needle, but sadly it still wasn't working. I lost a whole bowl of blood in the process, which was emotional for me as I had been uncomfortable from the beginning and wished to stop earlier.

I even guided the employees to where I thought a vein was, but it was still a failed attempt. As a medical assistant myself, I felt that they weren't taking me seriously at all. To make matters worse, both of my arms were bruised, which as you can imagine, was quite painful.

All of this could've been prevented, had they taken the necessary steps to ensure that their employees were properly trained and experienced. It was disheartening to have to be deferred from donating again and to lose all of my donor fees from that day. I truly hope that CSL Plasma takes these reviews seriously and makes the necessary changes to improve their processes and experience for donors.
