Scam, On or about the 13th of April I was shopping for a small fishing boat, looking on ebay, crageslist and boat trader, I had found one that I liked and though I could afford on crageslist boats. I contacted the owner of the boat thru the crageslist channels by email. if was just a day or so before I received an email from the owner with regard the boat for sale she had told me that the boat was being sold by a consignment company called Komodo Marina Depot. They have you fill out a form basic information you make an offer on the item you are interested and then Komodo, contacts the owner for approval of the sale price. And make the arrangements for sale, they ask for a wire transfer for the total amount 10, 300.00 and according to the site the item would ship in 2 to 3 business days. I have researched to Komodo Marina Depot, and found five or six web sites and loads of Reviews stating they have a 4 3/4 rating out of five. I was contacted by a sales rep who walk you thru the process for payment, and shipping arrangements of the item. After payment was sent, I have waited 3 or 4 days to hear from the shipper. I was unable to contact any one at their office, by telephone when to voice mail and no email response. Komodo Marina has pulled all online websites and left no way to contact them, still no boat

I answered an add for rehoming a chihuahua located in Hesperia. On 4/19 I brought him home but a few days after "purchasing" the dog, he became ill thinking it was stress but was later diagnosed with Coccidia. He has been in the hospital for almost a week. also was told by my vet that the shot records were not correct, when I tried to reach out to the owner, I received no response.

I'm honestly not sure what you can do about this but wanted you to know in case she has done this before or tries to do again.

Unethical behavior -
We called for an estimate, he gave us the best deal and said he needed half upfront and remaining when job complete. Told us he could start monday. He showed up at our house 3 hrs later and began taping our windows. We asked him about power washing walls, he said not needed, our house is clean and type of paint he is using adheres good. After painting 70% of house he calls us out to look at color and job. Stop, we hated the color and could already see chips pulling from wall. He needed another $1000 to finish. Mike left paint drops on concrete, painted screens, door jam and didn't clean up after self. When we questioned and approached him on job he stated, "you get what you pay for!" do not use this painter and he should be marked as fraud!

Multiple RV sales are fraudulent. Typically an RV is featured with al very low price. When asked to see the vehicle, the lister says it is his aunt's and gives this email...La.[protected]@gmail.com which gives some fake info which leads to sending a "deposit". I have literally had hundreds of posts flagged on Craigslist. Even stuff I am trying to sell to make a few bucks to put food on my table. My complaint is how can any individual or company disregard the Constitution of the United States and the freedom of speech and press. what gives Craigslist the right to set this unfair flagging policy and when is our government going to do something about it.

Rehoming is the new word for "sale". Craigslist does not vet their content, and after learning that they contributed to bogus un vetted ads for dogs, are no longer as credible as they once were. Craigslist uses captcha to sort out spam, but does not vet the ads used to spam unsuspecting buyers. Learned about the bogus "rehoming" of animals on the local news today. Craigslist also claims not to sell dogs but dogs are pictured on the site as "for sale". Boo Craigslist. You need to hire people who can sort out or question people who are literally selling animals. Rehoming an animal for more than $200-300 bucks with no proof of expenditures is selling, not rehoming.

I listed a Mini Cop Cam in Craigslist Chicago and was racially insulted by a customer respond. This item was listed by by me in the auto section for sale by this very rude racist that used words and expressions that was not appropriate on your site. I feel this person should be banned from Craigslist.

David Jesionowski, Kingston NH. I contacted him thorough Craigslist for siding job. He came to my home, we agreed on price, I paid him 2100.00 down payment and haven't seen him since. I later discovered that he is unlicensed and not legally able to do vinyl siding jobs in MA. He said he was licensed and his Craigslist ad said he was licensed and insured. He cashed my check 3 was ago and has not returned calls or texts. I've politely requested my money back to no avail. Consumers Beware. He is a fraud. The address he gives is really a used car lot

I saw a Craigs List ad for a boat for sale in Tonawanda, NY. I've attempted to contact the seller on five occasions with no luck. I finally realized each time I replied to the ad, it went to a different CL mailbox. This seems kind of fishy. Mailboxes are listed below. Wording from the ad is:

There's a someone on craigslist scamming people, and pretending to be the landlord of this house 72 Scobey Dr Nashville, TN 37210 their story was..

House is available for rent and move in now, I am currently out of town now with my daughters here in Chicago; I am with disability. I can't walk as I am on a wheel chair. I am the landlord of my house. So you can go over to the house and look up the surroundings and the house equally through the window and get back to me if you still interested in renting the house. Okay you can drive by and let me know as soon as possible, just note that I recently withdraw my house from a Realtor because I wanted to handle everything by myself because of the exorbitant fees Realtor charges and I want to get much closer to the tenant that's going to live in my house. So if you drive by and the Realtor sign is still there please let me know cause that should have been taken out of there. Kindly reply as soon as you go over to take a look so we can discuss further. I am young, and I was try to find somewhere for me and my kids to stay, this person went as far as reaching out to my referals to be sure of things. This person got me out of $1800. When sending the payments I was told im sending it to her daughters CASHAPP the cashapp name is $SaraBerlanga1.

After they received my application through email she sent me this, keep in mind she charged me a $50 application fee and I paid that through cash app to the same name $SaraBerlanga1

I told them I could make my payment until April 1, 2020 but I could put $500 down now. She let me do that. I just knew I was about to get me and my kids into a nice 2 bedroom house. I was using the last of my money and even had to borrow some from other people. It all seemed so legit. There is so much more to this story literally this scammer went the whole way to complete this scam. At the time I figured out they was scamming me was when I paid everything and woke up that friday morning I check the tracking and it was asking for a demurrage fee of $700 and they asked me to pay it. I was so devastated, I started to catch on because the thought had came to my mind when I saw that once I tracked the package. They had a tracking label and everything. The email they were using was [protected]@gmail.com.. They kept pretending to have an attorney that was demanding more befor send more money. Everything they were saying was making alot of sense so it wasnt running across my mind earlier that it was scam.

Here is something they said after receiving the money;

Yes all tracking information remain the same. Do look out for the delivery status update with your tracking number to know when the keys will be deliver to you tomorrow. I will also write you by noon tomorrow to know and ask about the situation of things.

They wanted me to send the demerrage fee to them instead of calling in to pay, when I told them im feeling like they are scamming me they said fine do the fee yourself and the number for the company of speedypost that they gave me was a textfree number. they took all I had literally especially with this virus that is going on ive already been laid off.

Craigslist flagging rules are ridiculous. Not only can scammers flag your ad, anyone can for any reason, including craigslist. Doesnt matter why, they allow it. Scammers are alerted as soon as you post a new ad, you immediately get 2-6 texts, wanting you to email them for further information. Never give it, they want your email to scam you. Craigslist could care less. They never respond to your complaint and you cannot repost your ad without another flag. Someone with a "like" item could flag you because they want to sell their item, and not have yours show. Scammers flag your ad if you do not respond to their fraudulent text after your post an ad. Last but not least, craigslist will also flag you for what ever computer generated excuse they have. Could be anything, but they wont tell you.

Craigslist needs to be reported to every states attorney generals office for having no customer service. For allowing scammers to have access to their website and being notified when a new ad is placed. And for their fraudulent flagging rules that anyone can apply for any reason. Craigslist needs to have a mass protest against them, and put them out of business once and for all.

I purchased vinyl siding installation from David Jesionowski, 52 Route 125 Kingston, NH, [protected], who advertises his services on Craigslist. He left a barrel of his garbage on my property, didn't finish the gutter downspout and faucets, and re-attached the wires to my house with a nail and a piece of scrap vinyl siding; the nail blew off after a day, leaving dangerous dangling wires hanging from my house.

His contract states that the work is warranted, but he refuses to complete the work or fix the wires.

When I contacted him, asking him to fix the wires immediately due to the dangerous situation, he sent me an abusive text in response.

It said:

"Its been 1 day you dont have to be a [censored] bag READ YOUR CONTRACT. Not responsible for electrical i took pictures that down spout was off not my responsibility so your whining about a spicket which i was gonna fix but since your being a [censored] about it go [censored] yourself no wonder you i ve alone loser"

I contacted BBB to process a complaint; they said that his company is out of business and they cannot help me resolve this matter.

I want other consumers to be aware of these concerns.

Craigslist allow dealers to post as "owners" in ads that are so obvious and others that just lie. By my own account, looking for a car in the last 3 months, 70+% of all listing "by owner" are dealers, their sales people to take the cars off lots and flippers who purchase vehicles, never take ownership/title (avoiding taxes state and fed + dealer licensing fees, etc) and attempt to pass them of as owned by them, their brother/sister in law, aged/dead parent, some other relative, etc. Many are so brazen and embolden (due to craigslist co-conspiring to collect $5 ad fees) that they take pictures of these cars parked in the dealers lot with the name and phone number clearly in view, . Many have dealer license plates mount to the car in the picture. Here in Illinois it is illegal (unless you are a licensed dealer) to sell or even negotiate to sell (allowing public paid or free ads to be placed) unless the vehicle is titled in your name.

I answered an add to purchase a table and chairs. We set up a "pick up" time on Saturday between 2-3. Drove over an hour to the location and was left hanging outside the location with no answer for 20 minutes. As soon as I pulled away they were calling me to return. Very shady. Felt like a set up to be ripped off. Right before I arrived at the location he had texted me a second number of his wife to call her because his phone wasn't working properly. When I called her she didn't answer. When I pulled away she was texting me that her husband was outside looking for me.

My posts in the community section Pro Trump comments, and posting in wanted and housing post sections over the months have often been flagged and removed without question. Or my live Ads would not appear after posting.

I learned that algorithms in the software Craigslist uses can flag users that repeatedly use the same email address over and over again. Also your posts can be live but never show up called ghosted. It's sad and stupid that Craigslist has become such a crooked, anti-human entity since 2009.

Robo calls, now robo flaggers is showing how far and stupid this technology is going. It's absurd. It's anti-God also!

It's time to stop this robo controlled software and Craigslist from controlling legit and honest individuals as well small businesses that get flagged often by such robo-software.

Last October I posted an ad on Craig's List to sell several office chairs. A person named Collins Bote (Tel: 213-788-9466) texted me that he wanted to buy the chairs and sent a cashier's check for $2, 990 out of which $1690 would be dedicated to the "movers." My bank, Wells Fargo, assured me that the check from the buyer cleared so I sent him a cashier's check from a CVS store per his instructions. The next day after I sent the cashier's check, my bank informed me that his check had actually NOT CLEARED. My check to the "movers" was sent to Jessica Ramirez, 7880 Racquet Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418. The address turned out to be bogus and the buyer's text number works but no one is ever "available." I was scammed. I filed a police report but they got nowhere. I'm out over $1724. Since this scam happened on Craig's List, can you track down this person? Important to warn others about this. 1/21/2020 - Adnan Poljak ( CLIENT # [protected]) advertised the 2007 BMW X3, stated the car was in mint condition, No Service Engine Soon lights, with lots of extras and supposedly a great running car. I test drove the car, came home checked out the VIN and decided to purchase. Once I paid Adnan $4300 and drove away in the car, the gear indication and service engine soon light came on.

I should have realized something was wrong when he showed up late, his ride home was sitting in an inconspicuous location, and he let the car remain running while we completed the cash transaction, and he kept saying this is as-is! Once I saw the lights come on I called his number to ask what's wrong with the car and OF course, all my calls are directly forwarded to voicemail. He lied in his ad about the condition of the car.
He also claims he sells lots of cars and fun toys on Craigslist. Buyer Beware! I'm so sad as the $4300 was to help change the family's life. I'd like to get my money back and give him his poor running shiny car back!

This add first appeared in early December. Made seven (7) attempts to pick-up the item after it was agreed on, .The seller refuses to disclose where and when the item can be picked up., The add then went of Craig's List. It re appeared late December. The item is listed three times under three different adds each with its own price. Add are as follows 704922091 for $78.00, 7044938678 for $74.00, add three 7046778699 for $68.00. I contacted the seller and informed him/her i was willing to pay cash as requested, and was told ok. After that it is a series of games. The seller will not reply for several days. When they do its a question like what item are you talking about. I specify the fire pit, Chiminea. or they re-ask my question of when do you want to pick it up. I reply time and place and that I am open. I even provided my telephone number still no response. Is this a scam or just some jerk screwing people around.

in mine opinion he is a scammer. read below my experience:

over the phone he gave me a price of $50 to replace the sink faucet on my wet bar. he came with a backpack and couple of tools, no car. he said he came with uber because his car was hit while parked (I do not believe it now). he took old faucet and just inserted a new one, without connecting it to the water supply. he said he needed a new valve because the new faucet could not be connected to the old valve due to the different size. he showed me a picture of the valve from home depot on his cell phone, and said the price was $39. he offered to go and buy it, but I said I will do that. he said that he would come back, but I needed to pay him cash $50, and additional $15 after he comes back to finish the job. I paid him $50 cash. an hour later I bought the valve for $20 (not $39) and sent him a picture to confirm it was correct vale. he replied that it was. he then sent me a text that he would install the valve for $25 later the same day. I recognized at this point that I am dealing with a scammer, but I said that I would pay $25. since he did not come by 4:30 pm I called him. he made an excuse and said he would come the next day "sharp 8:30 am." I said ok. the next morning he texted me that he would come at 10 am. around 9:30 am he texted me again that he would not make it, but he can send someone else. I said to sent someone else because I need to use the sink. of course he did not send anyone, and I did not hear from him again.
a family member of mine came over, looked under the sink and said that I just needed an adapter. I returned the valve, and I bought an adapter for around $4, and I connected the faucet's hoses to the water supply easily (the family member explained to me how).
