CrowdRise Proceed with Caution: Our Review of CrowdRise's Fundraising Platform

CrowdRise is a website that claims to help people raise money for charities or individuals. However, upon clicking the "get started" link, we found that neither option worked right away. This was disappointing, as we were hoping to start fundraising right away.

We also took a closer look at the privacy policy and found some redundant paragraphs that seemed to avoid disclosing important information about their practices and policies. This made us suspicious and we began to question the legitimacy of the website.

Overall, we would advise others to be cautious when using CrowdRise. While it may seem like a great way to raise money for a good cause, there are some red flags that suggest it may not be as trustworthy as it claims to be. We recommend exploring other options before committing to using this platform.

CrowdRise Review: CrowdRise's Donation Fees - Are They Worth It?

I recently came across CrowdRise while looking for a platform to donate to a charity. The website asked me if I wanted to cover the fee so that the charity receives the full amount of my donation. I thought it was a great idea, but when I saw that they were asking for a 10% fee, I was a bit hesitant.

I decided to do some research and found out that the charity I wanted to donate to had a fee of only 3% on CrowdRise. This made me wonder where the extra 7% was going. I assumed that CrowdRise was keeping it, which seemed like it could be illegal.

I reached out to CrowdRise to clarify the situation, but all they did was send me an email saying that their total fee for credit card donations is about 10%. I was disappointed that they didn't provide me with a more detailed explanation.

Overall, I think CrowdRise is a good platform for donating to charities, but I would advise people to do their research before making a donation. It's important to know exactly where your money is going and how much of it is actually going to the charity.

CrowdRise CrowdRise's Fees: A Closer Look at the Costs of Donating to Charity

Yo, so I was checking out CrowdRise for some charity donations and I gotta say, I'm a little confused about their fees. Like, I get that there's always gonna be some fee for credit card transactions, but why is it so dang high on this site? They're taking like 5-6% on top of the credit card fee, which seems kinda steep for just "processing" a donation, ya know? I mean, I'm all for supporting a good cause, but I don't wanna feel like I'm getting ripped off in the process.

I mean, I'm sure they gotta make some money to keep the lights on and all that, but I'd like to see a breakdown of where exactly these fees are going. Are they using it to pay their employees? To cover server costs? To fund their own charity work? I just wanna know that my money is actually going towards the cause I'm supporting, not just lining someone else's pockets.

Don't get me wrong, I think CrowdRise is a cool idea and all, and I appreciate that they're trying to make it easy for people to donate to charity. But I think they need to be more transparent about their fees and what they're doing with them. Maybe they could negotiate with credit card companies to lower the fees for charitable donations, or find other ways to cut costs so they can pass the savings on to donors.

Overall, I think CrowdRise has potential, but they need to be more upfront about their fees and how they're using them. People don't donate to charity to make some middle man rich, ya know? So let's see some more transparency, guys.

Is CrowdRise Legit?

CrowdRise earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.

Our conclusion: After a detailed review, ComplaintsBoard finds CrowdRise to be a trustworthy company. Although there's a 7% resolution rate for customer complaints, which deserves attention, CrowdRise is known for their high standards and safety. If you're thinking about dealing with CrowdRise, it's wise to check how they handle complaints.

The age of CrowdRise's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.

Crowdrise.com has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

We looked up CrowdRise and found that the website is receiving a high amount of traffic. This could be a sign of a popular and trustworthy website, but it is still important to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of the site before sharing any personal or financial information

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:

  • While CrowdRise has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 7% of 14 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
  • There was some difficulty in evaluating or examining the information or data present on the crowdrise.com. This could be due to technical issues, limited access, or website may be temporarily down for maintenance or experiencing technical difficulties.
  • CrowdRise protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
  • We conducted a search on social media and found several negative reviews related to CrowdRise. These reviews may indicate issues with the company's products, services, or customer support. It is important to thoroughly research the company and its offerings before making any purchases to avoid any potential risks.

CrowdRise CrowdRise Review: Sketchy Service with High Fees for Good Causes

I recently gave some cash to a real good cause on CrowdRise, but dang, they charged me a pretty penny for it - $13.00! I had to do it though, 'cause it was the right thing to do for a kid with a real bad health problem. But let me tell you, this service ain't all that great. It's kinda sketchy, if you ask me.

What really gets me is the irony of it all. You got Ed Norton and his fancy-pants liberal friends raking in the dough off of people's pain and suffering. It's like they're using our need to make a quick buck. That's just not right, man.

But hey, at least I did my part. I just wish there was a better way to do it without getting ripped off.

CrowdRise Disappointing Experience with CrowdRise: Poor Business Practices and Customer Service

CrowdRise is a company that we recently had some issues with. Unfortunately, they suspended a fundraising account for one of our family members without any warning. This was all due to a complaint from someone who was unhappy about something. We were really disappointed that we had to contact CrowdRise customer support twice before they finally responded. It was really frustrating for our friends and family who wanted to donate to our cause, but couldn't because of the suspension.

The person who complained even admitted that they were able to get the donations page suspended. This just goes to show that CrowdRise has some poor business practices and their customer service is not up to par. We were really disappointed with the way they handled this situation and we hope that they can improve their services in the future.

Overall, we would not recommend using CrowdRise for any fundraising needs. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration that we experienced. We hope that other companies can learn from their mistakes and provide better services to their customers.

CrowdRise CrowdRise Review: High Fees and Lack of Transparency

I recently used CrowdRise to make a donation and was a bit taken aback by the fees they charged. Initially, they wanted to charge me $24.00 for a $300.00 donation, which seemed a bit steep to me. So, I decided to lower my donation to $200.00 and was charged $16.00 instead. This made me wonder if they had lowered their fees due to complaints from other users. It seems that their current fee is now 8%, which is still quite high in my opinion.

What I don't understand is why they don't have a flat fee per transaction if it doesn't exceed $1,000.00. They are not a merchant transaction, so it doesn't make sense to charge based on the amount donated. Perhaps they reduced their fee by 2%, but are now charging it to the organization instead.

In comparison, I have used justgive.org in the past and they charge 4.5%, but give you the option to add it or have it taken from the donation. This is much more straightforward and transparent.

Overall, I think CrowdRise is a good platform for fundraising, but their fees could be more reasonable. It would be great if they could implement a flat fee for smaller donations and be more transparent about where their fees are going.

CrowdRise Beware of False Affiliations: CrowdRise User Falsely Claims to be Affiliated with National Foundation for Abused and Neglected Children

CrowdRise is a website that allows people to create fundraising campaigns for various causes. However, there have been some issues with individuals falsely claiming to be affiliated with certain organizations. One such case is with Jake Austin, who is wrongfully claiming to be affiliated with the National Foundation for Abused and Neglected Children.

It is important to note that CrowdRise is in no way affiliated with the National Foundation for Abused and Neglected Children. They have never given any donations to the organization nor have they been asked to do so. This false affiliation has been reported to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

If you wish to donate directly to the National Foundation for Abused and Neglected Children, it is recommended that you visit their website at www.gangfreekids.org for the address to where donations should be sent. The organization has been helping abused children for over twenty years and any support is greatly appreciated.

It is unfortunate that there are individuals who try to take advantage of the generosity of others. However, it is important to do your research and ensure that your donations are going to legitimate organizations. CrowdRise is a great platform for fundraising, but it is up to the individuals using it to ensure that their campaigns are truthful and accurate.

CrowdRise Proceed with Caution: My Experience with Crowdrise Fundraising for Susan G. Komen

I gotta say, I'm not too sure about this site. I used it to raise some funds for Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey, which is a great cause, but when I tried to get my company to match the donation, things got a little weird. I reached out to Susan G. Komen to verify the donations, but they said they had no record of it. Now, I know for a fact that the donation should have been transferred by Crowdrise's third party vendor, and they should have sent a record of donors and contributions to the organization. But here we are, three months later, and I still don't know where the funds are.

I mean, it's possible that Susan G. Komen is at fault here too, but the customer service people at Crowdrise have been less than helpful. They keep giving me these generic, vague answers that don't really tell me anything. It's frustrating, to say the least.

So my advice to anyone thinking about using Crowdrise: be careful. Make sure you know where your funds are actually going, and don't just assume that everything is going to work out. It's a shame, because I really wanted to support Susan G. Komen, but now I'm not so sure.

CrowdRise Misleading Fees and False Philanthropy: My Disappointing Experience with CrowdRise

I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with CrowdRise. I mean, they make it seem like they're all about helping people and being charitable, but their fee structure is just plain misleading. Like, they say they guarantee a 3% fee, but that's not actually what they charge. Nope, they charge almost 9% on every single donation transaction! And the way they make it seem like it's not that bad is by saying donors can choose to pay for that 9% fee themselves or put it back on the organizer. But let's be real, most people are gonna be willing to pay a little extra to help out, so the organizer is still gonna end up paying that crazy high fee.

And don't even get me started on the fact that they pretend to be all philanthropic and stuff. Like, come on, if you're gonna charge that much for your services, at least be honest about it. I'm definitely gonna be avoiding this website from now on, and I suggest others do the same.

CrowdRise Confusion and Questions Surrounding CrowdRise: A Review of the Fundraising Platform

I gotta say, I'm feeling a bit confused about this CrowdRise thing. I read about it in my local paper, where they were talking about some new non-profit group that was trying to raise some cash. But when I went to check it out, I saw all these different groups and individuals listed under the same logo. And get this - some of them were even from the same family! I tried to figure out who was raising money for what, but it was like pulling teeth. I mean, can anyone just post a request and start asking for money? And once they get their own cash, do they have to give it to the main group listed at the top? And what's with all the fees? Seems like those family members would be better off sticking together for one cause, right?

Honestly, I'm not sure if I'm the only one who's feeling this way. But I hope that anyone who's thinking about donating to a charity takes the time to read the fine print. I used to work for a non-profit agency, and we did our own private fund-raising. I don't think this CrowdRise thing would have worked for us.

But hey, maybe I'm just not getting it. Maybe there's something I'm missing. If anyone out there has some answers, I'd love to hear them.

We have a friend, who is in need. We decided to help him and contacted the company www.crowdrise.com. Unfortunately, this company hasn’t helped us and it was very strange, because we heard that they were too friendly and offered help to everyone. But these people told that they could help us and refused to listen to our story. It was so unpleasant and dishonest from their side.

CrowdRise They turned to be dishonest, ‘coz they haven't returned my money back

We participated in the program, which offered the company www.crowdrise.com. After that they took my friend off from the program, and all his donations were wasted. I have wasted all my time to return this sum back, but these jerks ignored all my emails. I simply have no idea what to do now. Please, post comments if you can help me, ‘coz the situation is really bad.
