Suttell & Hammer Debt collector

They are using in the pierce county district court in and for the state of Washington to garnishee money from me I tried calling them but it only goes to a message that say leave you name and information. They send this letter to my boss to garnish money from my account and I don’t even own money to Citibank. You can see on the second picture below that they have been changing the numbers how many times that I have to pay.

I was never properly served a lawsuit from Suttell And Hammer I found out about the case by doing a search for me on the court website. I've only received one collection attempt at my old address. No notice whatsoever they were going to sue. I've sent these scumbags letters requesting debt verification and proof they own the debt from my original creditor.

Suttell & Hammer Credit Collection and Law Suit

The law firm of Suttell, Hammer & White, PS have been harassing me 2012 on a debt I owe on a Discover Card. They started out as bill collectors and now are acting as attorneys for Discover Card. They put a law suit onto me and made me feel if I showed up for the hearing it would only continue and make more bill for me to continue, so I did not so now I owe the credit card company and the court for $250 (if I cannot pay this I am not sure what will be done jail probably). They have literally drove me crazy and made me feel threatened by the law. I am beside myself and feel suicidal at times because it is always something new and more. Yes, I owe the Discover Card but I am unemployed and trying hard to find something and this is literally making me ill physically and mentally and the bill keeps going up because I have to pay the legal fees for Discover Card and any added stuff Suttell, Hammer & White, PS puts on me. I cannot afford an attorney, if I could I would be paying my bills. I literally feel this will only end with me finding a way of paying everything or jail. I mean I used to be a happy person but I cannot see the end to this. They are treating me like a criminal.

Suttell & Hammer made error on collection

Suttell and Hammer got court order to garnish my account and it was legally protected by law. I was on unemployment and realize there mistake and returned the money that they had taken. But in there neglagence of not checking my status they caused a 100 dollar fee to my bank account. They refuse to send a note to Wells Fargo saying that what they did was in error, so I can't get my money reinstated. In addition, I was told by Allied Waste that if I get my Health Card for my CDL B license that they would hold a Residential Driver job for me. Unfortunately Suttell and Hammer took my money and I had no way of paying for the 80 dollar cost of for an appointment. I would have this 40-50 thousand dollar job right now. Instead I am stuck without any unemployment and no job. These companpies have access to checking peoples status and I believe they knew I was running out of unemployment so they took the money out while there was some. In the business of getting peoples money, I think they should be more responsible. Thanks Lorne Adams

Low scum of the earth - they try to collect by scare tactics as they are law firm - however they are junk debt buyers and break the law just to collect money from the less informed. They can't hack it as real attorneys so they pray on the uninformed public...real scum bag lowest of the low human beings on the planet. I met them in court- real losers. They can't make it in life...probably all alcoholics so they drink themselves to sleep at night.

well, this may come as a shock to all ho have written comments and all those who are in line shaking their heads but I have had nothing but direct and desirable service from them. They were even good enough to call me that the Justice Dept of Oregon wanted information from their firm on people who had mistakenly had mistakenly put heir trust in World Law Group. If any of you who have dealt with that sleeze bag company then write me and I tell you how to get your money back. Anyway, it is a dog eat dog world and they are making their dime their way. We are the one's that messed up our debt and they are like shark circling a sinking liner. The law about a shark eating a passenger and the same for debt purchasing, We'll live Dennis

I just had my entire bank account garnished with no prior notice. I am on disability and am currently waiting for my court date. All this because I transfered my back pay for SSID to my checking account to pay on bills. I called them after receving paperwork (after they took the money) and to date have had no answer.

New office address : 10900 NE 8th st suite 605 Bellevue, Wa

It's no wonder someone would attack their office, even trying to pay a debt (in full) is a hassle. I did not dispute, or try to bring the dollar amount down... All I wanted was to pay my debt and have the judgment removed so I could close on my home. I lost the house I was going to purchase because they drug their feet and did not do as promised if I paid in full that same day with a cashiers check. Because it was my fault in not closing I also lost the 5% Ernst money I put out on a 300k home... They got what they wanted and now I no longer have a place to live nor any savings because they can't do their job.

Just want to say these low life's charged me double what my original debt was and then failed to disclose the interest until the debt was paid off. I have never had a more disgusting experience with a company in my life.

I dealt with them last year and finally settled a debt with them. I corresponded on 2, but after the first one was settled, I never received a response on the second debt. That was summer 2013. Today I discovered my entire bank account had been garnished.
Per advice on another blog on this subject, I checked court records. They had filed back in Nov 2013, the hearing was Jan 2014. I never received any notice that either of these things were occurring, so therefore had no ability to respond.
Sleazy, sleazy practice, and I would think, illegal.

Suttell & Hammer is a law firm, can’t say they are a good law firm but nonetheless, fill in your own blank here____. What I can say is that from my experience is that the attorneys are most likely just out of law school and may or may not have actually passed the bar exam. This practice is common and legal think of it as Ma Suttell and Pa Hammer getting cheap and incredibly stupid worker bees. I will disclose I have debt, at the time of this posting it is a whopping, wait for it . . . $1, 906.70. I question their business savvy to go after such a small amount with such drama and expense. But, hey I love me some unnecessary over the top drama, lol! I laugh because they can’t even get an autopay full set up correctly. Trust me on this one, they have spent much more than the $1, 906.70 to collect on me by calling me on the phone and having me served legal documents by the county sherriff’s department, sending out letters. Okay, I admit they pushed my buttons and I have made unnecessary phone calls to them just to mess with their profits. This firm is so disorganized and poorly managed it is hard not to mess with them, it’s too easy.
Their staff of “legal assistants” does not seem competent and they also “transfer”, (more likely are fired), to other departments on a regular basis. I translate this practice as; they got some kids who think they are in sales to collect debts and given the job title of “legal assistant” to make them feel important. Seriously they are some of the dumbest people I have encountered. Can’t get upset because they really think they are something special, after talking with them I just shake my head and laugh at their expense.
They, attorneys and staff, really are that dumb. No really, they must have obtained their law degrees online.
You can bang your head against the wall easily with this group of young and dumb “professionals”. My advice to everyone dealing with this group of idiots without their village is: 1. Set up autopay – this puts them on notice, and 2. Document, document, document all interaction you have with them. And have a good laugh.

If you are a debtor being contacted by Suttell & Hammer, do yourself a big favor: go online and browse the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act (FDCPA). That Act will show you how to begin to deal with this low-life law firm. After reading about the FDCPA, continue your research by browsing on Google--"Debt Buyers." Your journey will be of genuine help to you and will educate on methods to resist this law firm and other filthy, pathetic law firms that pursue charged-off debt bought from banks, etc. Knowlege is power.

Suttell & Hammer Collections

Suttell & Associates PS placed a lien on my home for a debt I owed. Fair enough. When the house sold on April 30, 2007, they received payment in full for the outstanding debt. It seems then that since they received the money for their client, that they should be bound to file the appropriate papers to show that the lien was removed and the debt was paid. They have not.

Suttell & Hammer being threatened with garnishment

I was at work when My fiancee answered our front door and was greeted by a process server. They asked if I lived there, he said yes but I was not home. They tried to give him the papers and he tried to refuse them. The server said he had to take them or he would go to jail. He didn't know if that was true so he took them.
I read the summons and it contained NO court date or even where court would be held or when. I guess it happened on February 18th. Shouldn't I have been given something that told me when and where?

The same law firm is garnishing my wages and taking over $800 a month for the next three months. I have just finished graduate school and just found a good job. However, my son and I will be on the streets and all of our other bills / creditors will be also going to collections due to the lawyers office taking everything from me. I can't pay rent. How is this legal? My son and I don't have anything to give. We can barely make ends meet and now- we are loosing our apartment. Where the F... are we going to live?

They pulled a similar scheme on me. I paid what they 1st tried to hit me for, they got mad and located another debt to the same company. They then failed to serve me, refused to provide proof of anything and were very shocked when I actually showed up in court. They said I owe 10, 000.00 on a $3, 000.00 debt that I was actually paying. For a long time, I thought that they just dropped it. They are now Garnishing my check. This means that again (at least 3X), they have held hearings that I was not notified of. They also keep trying to serve a party who does not live at my addrerss and refuse (though they have it in writing from myself and the other party) to beleive that they do not live here. I have reported them 2X for mail fraud but, they can afford not to care - I'd really like to hit them with a (Contingincy) class action law suit based on all the complaints I've read and what they are doing to me. Course, I can't afford a lawyer - they make sure of that. If anyone knows of a lawyer interested - count me in and contact me via email at diboself@gte.net
