I purchased a new Stearns and Foster mattress through the Mattress King in Jonesboro. It was delivered in a muddy pickup truck and brought into our new home by a kid in greasy boots and jeans, which got onto our new carpet. We were nice, because the kid was young and didn't know any better, just doing his job. He delivered two new mattresses to our home that night. The one for our master bedroom looked great but after one sleepless night, we knew immediately that there was a problem. On my side of the bed was a big hole that my body sunk down into. We called the store the next day and they sent out another kid with a stick that he laid across the bed that "proved to us" that nothing was wrong with our bed. He told us we could just turn our mattress a quarter turn which would probably make it feel better! We said we wanted to return it. He said not possible because we had slept on it and we didn't purchase the special cover in the store that allows you to return it. Conveniently in the store, they asked us if we wanted to purchase the SPECIAL cove for our mattress but failed to tell us that if we didn't our warrantly was void. Something is wrong here. Stearns and Foster may be a good company and if they are `they need to disassociate with Mattress King. I will NEVER purchase another Stearns and Foster. It will cost you greatly to walk into the Mattress King and make a purchase.

we bought the ridiculous cover too... and I definitely think they reuse/ redeliver the mattresses. When we received our "new" stearns and foster matress I noted that my side was much more soft than my husbands side. as you roll across the bed you feel like you are going up hill and when I get to my husbands side it it is much firmer. Of course we have to have a 1.5" depression for it to be called "DEFECTIVE" it has been 5 months and it has a 3/4" Depression... this is ridiculous.

We bought two queen sterns and foster mattresses from the sleep center in destin florida. We were smart enough to buy the ridiculous cover for the bed so we could keep the warranty, what do they do re sale these mattresses? Something doesn't smell right with this company, I have NEVER been so disappointed in the quality . I bought the best sterns and foster mattresses this place had to offer.
when I turned in a complaint the gentleman said he would send someone out the next day, well he did but they already had made up their mind before the visit, the company that is, the guys who came out brought a measuring device and gently touched the bed with the measuring device, so as not to make it look as bad as it actually is, what a joke, of course if you put a feather on the bed its not going to dent it, come on people, is this the best you have? Most elementary, give the public credit for more than that! This may work for a minute part of society but the majority of us are not that easily fooled. we are baby boomers well educated and street smart.
Get your act together sterns and foster or your customers will take you down, word of mouth is
VERY powerful, we are retired, we have the time!
We paid $4, 467, 00 for two queen mattresses oh yes and bought the save all mattress cover for both beds add another $150.00
Our advise is to never buy STERNS AND FOSTER, THEY ARE OVER RATED, SUB QUALITY AND OVER PRICED. I WOULD RATHER HAVE ONE OF THOSE BEDS IN A BOX, LOL

We too purchased a S&F and within 4 months we have a hump in the middle and two holes to sleep in! WE purchased this from Art Van in Howell MI --- just an awful experience with the service department. As I read here I now know why this service person that was here today is only getting the brunt of what is truly going on here. I have tried to contact S&F --- no email address --- and waited on the phone --- without sucess. Paid 2, 200 for this idem --- and by the looks even if they replace it --- it still won't solve the problem. Whatever happened to customer service? Shame on STERNS & FOSTER!

We bought a top of the line extra firm Stearns and Foster mattress from Art Van Furniture in Michigan. Within months of the purchase it created two massive sink holes where we sleep. It was a King Size mattress and it cost $2400, plus the foundation. Art Van has sent their guys out twice with the string measurement across the mattress to show you that there is nothing wrong, each time saying if it was just a 1/4" more or a half inch more sink they could do somnething about it. They also said you needed more slats under the bed and other excuses but it is newer bedroom set with a steel frame and the slats that came with the set. A standard setup not modified in any way. Well aching backs and bad sleep after spending almost $3000 in total is a crime. I am disappointed with Art Van and I will never by another Sealy product!

We had the same experience. What a waste. We are now considering a law suite for the physical damage this product has caused.

I have been sleeping on a S&F mattress for the past 2.5 years and the past 6 months I noticed that two wholes with a lump in the middle was being formed. My husband and I are having back pains because the mattress doesn't support our spinesanymore. Awful purchase, $2, 300 spent for a two year worth mattress. It was supposed to last at least 10 years! I strongly disencourage people to purchase this brand.

I have to agree. We are requesting our third replacement on our S&F set. We purchased the ambassador in 09.2004. we had to have it replaced in 03.2005. We then had the same problem and were told the Ambassador was discontinued so we added another lump sum of money and upgraded to the Silver Edition 02.2007. Guess what! Same problem except now the retailer we purchased from is no longer in business. Will not EVER purchase another S&F.

We too spent $2500 on a Stearns and Foster. DON'T DO IT! Giant lump in the middle and no satisfaction from Mattress Firm or S&F. FYI Sealy is the owner of S&F now. I wouldn't buy a Sealy either.

My husband and I also purchased a top of the line Sterns and Foster set. Three thousand dollars later we are
sleeping in our own separate sagging holes.

PLEASE HEED MY WARNING...This is our second one and we returned the first one for the same reason. Now we are going out to buy a Sealy or Simmons today.

We bought our Stearns & Foster mattress from Mattress Firm in the Houston area. We did buy the cover, and were told it was necessary to validate our warranty. Within a month we were back in the store complaining about the poor quality of the $3, 000 set we purchased. Sagging on both sides (king mattress). We had to make several trips before the sales person contacted the regional manager about our complaint. They said they would deliver us a new set, and they did. Here we are now with the same model with 2 sagging holes. When we went to the store to complain, there were no Stearns & Foster mattresses. Sales person said there were problems with the mattresses and they pulled them off the floor and returned them. But Mattress Firm said we had to pay $25 for a technician to come out to evaluate our mattress set for warranty issues. It has been 2 weeks and finally got a call, the tech said someone had to be home from 10a-2p to wait for his arrival. Had to reschedule for another 2 weeks out to get a Sat. appt. Mattress Firm showed us that they don't care for their customers after the sell, especially with the statement of "there were problems with the mattresses and they pulled them off the floor and returned them" and at the same time telling us we had to keep our bed for up to 6 weeks for a tech with a stick to come out and "evaluate our mattress". Could it be that they are only defective if they haven't sold them? I can say I will not purchase from Mattress Firm or Sealy/Stearns & Foster again.
