Square Unsure

I have two pending debit card purchases from your company and I do not know why. One is for $5 and one is for $10. Do you do any third party financial assistance that would have you charging my account for another company? I have never seen these charges before and I do not understand but maybe if you're charging for another company I could wrap my head around it, but as is it appears you're incorrectly charging me or someone possibly came into possession of my information.

Square Square itself

Holds money without any warning, requests highly confidential documents, bank records and other documents none of the others require.
Zero customer support whatsoever, very rude and told me "its our policy if you don't like it you can reverse the charges and go to another company", website is horrible to navigate.

Very embarrassing to have to go back to a customer to reverse charges due to squares bs.

Square $634 in unauthorized, stolen money billed to our checking.

Were were shocked to find an unauthorized, $634 charge on our checking account with this company. There is no way to contact these sleazebags without becoming their "customer" - if i lived in San Francisco I might take the law into my own hands.

The charge appeared on 5/7/2019 on our on-line checking account with M&T Bank, transaction no. 190506P2.

Square Cash app card account

I wish now I would have realized that I can't just call a number to reach customer service or check my balance. I have recently broken my iPhone, which contains my passwords, etc. Without Thu access I can't enter my account. My temp number is [protected]-Guillermo Cintron. Phone # associated with account [protected]. I am completely dead in the water, and question myself and your brilliant staff of engineers for not considering the possibility that this may occur.

Square Invoicing

Buyer beware. Customer invoices have been going to spam through Square. That means customers don't see their invoices and don't pay! This is a documented problem for years (search online to see), yet has still not been fixed. When I called to report I was put on hold for least 20 minutes to scrathchy, dated music and a loud voice encouraging me to hang up and get a call back. Finally spoke to a rep talking over many other people in the background. She told me they are aware of the invoicing problem because servers look at Square emails as being spamy and over emailed. Then I read the consumer affairs reviews with all of the scam complaints with the Square CASH APP. I am starting to wonder if people and companies are catching on that this company could be suspect. The rep told me they are aware of the invoicing problem and engineers have been "working" on it. For years?! She said I should ask my customers to go to spam folder and set the Square email to not filter to spam. That looks so unprofessional on my company and is such a hassle for customers. Invoicing is a FUNDAMENTAL part of any business and they fact that they can't get this right says alot about the stability of Square. I used Paypal for years and NEVER had this issue. Also, the login wait time for Square dashboard often takes way too long. I am glad I have not invested more in to this company.

I have been on hold for 15 minutes now - same song over and over and over and over again, with the interrupting grating voice. Nothing has improved. It seems customer service is very, very, very low on their list of things to care about.

Square Pricing and purity

I set up a Square account on May 18th - May 23rd 2018 through a web site provider who advised that there were no fees until I used the account. I made one charge through the web site provider of $1.00 to set up the account, again in May 2018. When I received my bank statement I was billed $24.90 for a merchantbankcard (Square) for March, April May and June when I only installed Square received the card for my phone in late May the beginning of June. I have tried to find a number. I canceled my square and will ultimately close the bank account and open a new one to avoid having to deal with Square again. I have a merchant's credit card account attached to my company and a different web site. It's not Square. My own bank honored the charges even though the e-mails evidence when I set up the account. My bank allegedly conducted an investigation and concluded that there was no problem with 4 months of charges for a service I had for one month? HONOR AMONG THIEVES !

Square Scam, thieves, do not use square.

This is my complaint I sent to BBB - Better Busimess Bureau.

I do not know how this company still in business. I started using Square like a moth ago, the first week I did 3 transactions for 3 new customers, they locked my account and put it under review and send me an email asking to upload some documents to verify my business so I did, they lifted the hold on my account saying that was a one time thing. The week after I did 2 more transactions "2 new customers" they did the exact same thing. So I did provided them with all documents needed to fix the problem. Couple of days later I did 1 transaction for a new customer, next day no deposit... So I called them they said that it was a mistake that they will contact that department to take the hold off, a couple of minutes later I was in my account and tried to contact them to see if everything was ok and they blocked my call option. No way to contact them, only via email but this was on July 11, 2017 and no email or explanation from them, and they are holding $6k+ of my money. This needs to stop, somebody needs to hear us and take action... The collected their fees, the have their money and hold ours for no reason at all. Square can't be playing around with honest and hard working people's money like that. Scam, White collar thieves!

Square Repair for a broken table during move

After reporting the damage, I was promised a return call. That was a month ago. No return call and I have left several messages with no response. The standard contract offered insurance for damages and I even paid for extra insurance. The company loaded my furniture and boxes into 3 storage containers. Two were packed tightly and suffered no damage. The third was only about a third full and not secured properly. Everything shifted during the move causing lawn furniture to fall on top of boxes and a small wooden table. It was crushed but is repairable.

Square Square stealing money and terminating accounts for no reason.

After my customer paid me by credit card in total of $400.00 square then told me that verification of my account is needed. I provided the documents required and also explain to them that mine something I did as a real business is only something small like people around me I clean houses and I so clothing for them the square representative assured me that this would be no problem but without warning or Reason they terminated my account. So that was final and then stated I have to wait 90 days for my money so which they have no intention of giving to me I cannot believe this they give you absolutely no way to get hold of them by telephone number only email for what you send emails and they do not respond a small General emails telling you nothing this company is a scam and I can not believe this is allowed to happen we have to do something I'm going to do something I don't have money and I count on every dollar to feed my children and they took it all! Please help someone!?!?

The exact same thing happened to me..EXACTLY.

Except in my case the guy I spoke to laughed at me each time I asked for a supervisor, escalation department ans then a complaint department. He then laughed when I asked for his name. He the said his name was "JOSE" then laughed.

This company KNOWS EXACTLY what they are doing in how they are stealing from people who sign up with their account.

Square does NOT require verification nor notice of a verification process prior to taking payments. It DROPS THAT ON YOUR LAP ONLY AFTER YOUVE BEEN PAID BY YOUR 1ST CUSTOMER.

SO NOW THEY HAVE STOLEN MY MONEY BECAUZE I DO NOT HAVE ALL THE DOCUMENTS THEY ARE REQUIRING AND MY CUSTOMER PASSED AWAY. SO NOW WHAT! I LOSE $350 TO SQUARE!?!?

THIS COMPANY IS A FU$KING SCAM

Square They accept credit cards to make payments like like paypal

Square, Inc. Committed Fraud! Do Not Use Them!

Back on Saturday, April 30th, 2016, I used my American Express Credit Card to pay my contractor $20, 000.00 for a job that has Not Been Finished!

The way that I paid for this amount of money was by receiving an Invoice that my contractor sent to ME, however, Square, Inc. is the actual company that Charged My Credit Card and is the Same Company that is Responsible For Transferring My Money To Whoever I Wish To Pay which In My Case Was NEVER DONE!

I have waited Very Patiently For MY MONEY to be transferred to Mr. Justin Rivas, the Contractor and at least 18 Days Went By and Square, Inc. Deliberately and Purposely REFUSED TO TRANSFER OVER THE MONEY!

This Unprofessional and Dishonest Company was Illegally Holding My Money In Their Own Internal Account 100% Against My Will And Without My Legal Permission, Consent, Nor Authorization!

What Square, Inc. Has Committed Was FRAUD!

I can NOT tell you and reiterate on just How Many Times I Have Contacted The Horrible Square, Inc. No Customer Service Phone Number Of: [protected] to find out Why They Are Not Sending MY MONEY OVER TO MR. JUSTIN RIVAS, THE CONTRACTOR!

Guess What Their Response Is? Answer: We Can NOT Discuss This Issue With You and Can Only Talk To Mr. Justin Rivas About It!

My Response: That Does Not Make Any Sense Since It Was Me Who Initiated The $20, 000.00 Payment To Begin With and It Was Done With My American Express Credit Card Which Is In My Name, NOT HIS!

Square, Inc.'s Customer Service Department did absolutely Nothing To Assist Me, Nor Help Me!

Furthermore, I did speak to Mr. Justin Rivas about it and he also called them many times ONLY to receive a Runaround, Lies and Mind Games stating that he did Not Fill Out The Paperwork Properly, or that he Needs To Resend Some Of The Same Documents Over And Over.

Even though he did as he was told, Square, Inc. still REFUSED TO SEND THE $20, 000.00 DOLLARS OVER TO MR. JUSTIN RIVAS, THE CONTRACTOR!

I was so Angry and Pissed Off over this Type Of Abuse Coming From Square, Inc. that I tried to call their Customer Service Department back again and Dispute The Money and Have It Go Back To My American Express Credit Card and this is What Their Customer Service Screwed Up Department Told Me!

Square, Inc. Customer Service's Response: They told me that they can NOT Dispute The $20, 000.00 for ME On My Behalf (Even Though I Am The Payer) and said that I need to contact American Express To Dispute It!

Well they are also 100% RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS SINCE THEY TOOK MY $20, 000.00 ILLEGALLY AND COMMITTED FRAUD BY HOLDING MY MONEY IN ONE OF THEIR INTERNAL ACCOUNTS WITHOUT SENDING IT TO MR. JUSTIN RIVAS AS IT STATES ON MY CREDIT CARD STATEMENT!

Please NOTE: I have NEVER had an experience like this one before and hopefully NEVER AGAIN!

Moving Forward: Back On, Monday, May 16th, 2016, I finally decided to Stop Waiting, Hoping and Dreaming for Square, Inc. to Transfer This Money To Mr. Justin, Rivas, The Contractor and instead I called up American Express and Filed A Dispute Against Square, Inc. For FRAUD!

Please NOTE: I Refuse to Pay For Fraud and Refuse to Pay For Something that I NEVER RECEIVED and Square, Inc. Must Have A Reputation at Doing This To Many Of Their Customers!

The Problem Is That Many Of Their Ex-Customers Are Afraid To Post Reviews On Their Negative Experiences because they are either Afraid or Scared Of The Outcome, Including Retaliation By The Company Which Rarely Happens, or Just Do Not Have The Time or Maybe They Simply Do Not Care To Let The Public Know On What Happened To Them And Would Rather Just Keep It Private!

However, I Dare To Be Different and I Am Blowing The Whistle Loud And Clear Against Square, Inc. To Let Them Know That You Can NOT Get Away With This!

At The Present Time, I Am Still Waiting For This Fraudulent Money Of $20, 000.00 That Square, Inc. Stole And Held In Their Internal Company Account To Be Returned Back To American Express Since I Will NOT Pay For FRAUD!

I am also Making A Very Serious Recommendation To American Express To Cut Their Ties And Business Dealings With Square, Inc. In Order To Prevent This Type Of Fraud From Happening To Their Other Customers Like It Just Happened To ME!

Enclosed, in the attachments, please find seven (7) pages of communications that I had with Square, Inc., American Express and Mr. Justin Rivas, The Contractor for your reference and further review.

Final Thoughts: My Advice To Anyone Searching For A Way To Pay Somebody Is First Of All "NOT To Ever Consider Using Square, Inc."

Thank you.

Sincerely yours,

Howard Paul Shore
Angry, Unhappy And Pissed Off Ex-Customer Of Square, Inc.

/HPS
Enclosures: Please See The Attachments For All Of The Communications That I Have Had With Square, Inc., American Express And Mr. Justin Rivas, The Contractor For Your Reference And Further Review. Thank You.

Square San Francisco district attorney actively covering up for ross nadel and square, inc.

Fellow Jew, Ethel Siegel Newlin, of the San Francisco District Attorneys Office is actively covering up for Super-Jew, ex-Federal Prosecutor, Ross Nadel’s vast criminal private enterprise known as Square, Inc. Merchant Services, judging by the 5000 complaints literally filed against Square, Inc in the last 3 months. This “company” is also being run by ace numb-nut Jack Dorsey, and the 5000 complaints online pertain to almost every type of massive federal and state financial crime known to mankind, such as false filings with the SEC, theft of property, grand larceny, money laundering, internal and external stock price manipulation, shareholder lawsuit sabotage, wire fraud, mail fraud, RICO, insider trading, extortion, blackmail, and other bad things. But how can the US Government prosecute Square, Inc, when they are actively protecting Ross Nadel and his organized crime racket? Seems like LA’s Gangster, Mickey Cohen, has been born again

Square The criminal and fraudulent empire of square, inc. Merchant services

The criminal and fraudulent empire of square, inc. Merchant services solid sources report that square, inc. Credit card merchant services, located at 1455 market street, suite 600, san francisco ca 94103 is being investigated upon information and belief by the securities and exchange commission (“sec”), federal bureau of investigation (“fbi”), various states’ attorneys general, san francisco district attorney, and other federal and state law enforcement agencies relating to square, inc: (1) fraudulently and falsely inflating their corporate value in preparation for an initial public offering (“ipo”) by illegally plundering their customers’ bank accounts in the tens of millions of customer vested dollars, and then holding these funds for 90 days, collecting and keeping the ill-gotten interest thereon; (2) quietly de-linking their merchant services from their customers’ bank accounts for days or weeks at a time, not letting their customers know, so that the purposefully ignorant customer keeps using their merchant services, obliviously charging their clients with their credit cards, only to find out weeks later that none of those payments have, or ever will, reach their own bank accounts for those 90 days of this arbitrary “account hold, ” when if they were simply told by square, inc that their bank account had been de-linked from square, inc. Merchant services, they could have, and would have, advised their own clients for alternate methods of payment, such as cash, checks, money orders, or they could have used a different credit card merchant service; (3) purposefully not providing proof of their customers’ authorizations and proof of charges to the charge back originating bank for weeks and months on end, thus artificially delaying the prompt resolution of the charge back so that they can hold this money for 90 days or more, accruing and keeping the stolen interest thereon, all the while adding fake monetary valuation to their company, when the money is not even theirs to hold and profit from; (4) square, inc is well known for purposefully not providing either a live customer service operator nor do they respond to emails to the company, so that their customers can not even follow up or find about the status of their own money, for days and weeks on end; (5) square, inc. Routinely charges between 4-5% of the credit card amount while most other merchant services charge between 1-2%, thus further robbing their customers to the tune of 500%; (6) these unlawful and unethical practices violate scores of federal, state and local laws, and it is assumed that a fairly large indictment is coming to address the thousands of customer complaints square inc has received in only a few short months, readily available all over the internet. Since this company is headed by former assistant us attorney ross nadel, who is obviously drunk with arrogance and power, they think that their company is legally and ethically bullet-proof, no matter how many hundreds of thousands of customers and their families lives they are hurting and destroying, during the 2015 holiday season. If you are also a victim of square, inc, please also file complaints with your state attorney general, fbi, ic3, sec, district attorneys office, us attorneys office at the usdoj, and even with the better business bureau. It is not long before these criminal fraudsters are brought to justice if enough people complain.

For the second time now Square is blocking a large transaction from one of my long time customers in Canada. Last time they wouldn't clear the transaction until I got a picture of my customer, who is based in Canada and I am in WI USA, and their credit card. Now excuse me if I think it's rather odd that a company like Square blocks a transaction as potential fraud and then insist I send pictures of a customer with his ID and CC? And here we are again and they are once again blocking the a transaction with the same customer. I've called numerous times and asked to speak to a supervisor only to be hung up on. Seriously? It's time to give Square, soon to be Block, the boot.

Hey, I am a representative for Ware-Ever pay, a new and relatively small mobile credit card processing service, and I would like to reach out to you as somebody who is frustrated with the way Square conducts their business. Unlike Square, we are a direct processor. This allows us to offer industry leading rates (2.49% swiped, 3.39% keyed with no monthly fee, or 2.29% swiped, 2.99% keyed with a $4.50 monthly fee), as well as a guarantee that funds will appear in your account the next business morning following any transaction. Square, on the other hand, aggregates all of their transactions and has them processed by a third party. This not only results in a larger markup, but also increases the likelihood that your money will be held for weeks, even months. On top of this, Square has an abysmal reputation when it comes to customer service. Because they force their millions of customers to direct their concerns and complaints through email, it can be a difficult and painstakingly slow process to deal with them. We know that when it comes to being funded for your transactions, you don't have time to wait around. Accordingly, our customer service queries are carried out over the phone to ensure that issues are addressed in real time, by real people. If thousands of dollars of your money was being withheld from you, would you rather sit around waiting for a big company to respond to your email, or have the ability to address the issue over the phone with a real person? Please feel free to call us at [protected] if you are interested or have any questions.

Square Unprofessional, do not honor there advertisement statements, poor customer service, I dont think its a real company

So I am a small business owner in New York City. I have a very busy small business dealing in Thrift, Antiques, Vintage Items, modern furniture, Vinatge jewlery, and any odd item you can think of. I have been a loyal Paypal user my entire life and I should have stuck with Paypal after this encounter.

I am out one morning and see an advertisement in a postal store for SquareUP.com payments. The actual card reader was hanging on the wall and read "Square Card Reader Accept Payments Everywhere". I purchase the item soley for the benifits listed on the back "plug and go", "Get your money Fast (the next day)", and "Just 2.75% per swipe". All those what turned out to be false promises and advertisements pursuaded me into purchasing the swip reader for $10.00.

I start using Squareup.com iphone application almost instantly on my iphone. The first couple of swipes for some Antique purchases in my shop go into the squareup.com account and than into my bank account the very next business day.

A few days later I sell three orders in my shop and I am happy to offer credit card option in my shop to all my loyal customers who come and visit us here on a daily basis. The three swipes go into squareup.com and the customers recieve there antique items & (1) flat screen Sony Television. The very next business day there is no money in the bank account, I shrug it off and say hey I'll give it another day. After several days there is still no funding in the bank account so I grow nervous and suspicous and contact squareup.com (which is not customer service friendly).
Once finally on the phone with a squareup.com and I quote "representative" they inform me that "I have to become verified and the issue with not recieving the fund with be resolved and I will have my funds in 1 to 2 business days". So I abide by there wishes even tho it goes against there well advertised "Get Your Money Fast" & "Plug in and Go" slogans.

I get to this form that asks about myself and my business records. I provide them with everything they ask for including Personal security information, Business License, Federal EIN number, NYS Tax I.D. #, and My business (3) most recent bank statements. After I fullfill the request of Squareup.com I sit and wait a couple of days and receive not one call or email. I than track down the hard to find phone number and call in again myself. At that time I am informed by a Squareup.com and I quote "representative" that they have all my information everything looks good the funds will be available in one to two business days. No sooner as hanging up the phone an email pops up into my inbox stating that I have been found fraudulent/ highrisk & cannot access my funds for 180 days.

At this point I am steaming and slowly losing my passive composure. So I grab the phone that I hung up two minutes ago and call back! Once on the line with the Squareup.com "representative" (Who is the same person on the phone for two weeks and probably is there only representative which is an obvious RED FLAG now) I am informed that I cannot recieve the funds for the Antique sales I had just made & delievered. Mind you that we are talking several thousands dollars here but even if it was a few hundred I would still be steamed because this is some severely unprofessional group they call a company!

So now I am furious and I ask well how do I get paid for the items I have sold in my shop? I am informed to "refund the customers there money & use another application for credit card payment". Are you serious is what I replied! These items are long gone out of my shop & delievered! "Yes Sir there is nothing we can do to assist you at this time". So I ask what is your mailing address I am having my attorney contact you! He replies "please have your attorney call in to the legal department we do not provide addresses to customers". That sums it up I have had enough!

Thank Goodness that I have a family oriented store and customers & clients who have become like family to us in our shop! They where all willing to come back into the shop and swipe there cards in PayPal. So I do not lose the sales or the items! Anyone in my shoes with a small business knows that several thousand dollars is not easy to wait for! Especially SIX MONTHS.

Beware of this Squareup.com company ( I am convinced they are not even a company). This report that I have written thoroughly for my fellow Americans & friends over seas should raise all the red flags that you need to know about before you even think of using this company. Stick with PayPal at least they are established & very fair when it comes to disputes!

Squareup .com keeps sending me all these receipts that say I have just paid all different merchants, different amounts and see full receipts? I have not done business with any of these and am sitting at my desk at work so I know I am not out purchasing anything! How can I stop this? What is going on?

Square - Stealing my money

On March 18th we ran a payment through the square card website. The payment was for 12, 734.10. We had expected the full payment to be in our bank account the next morning. Well only 2002 got deposited. We were very upset. It turned out that if you do not swipe the card they hold your money for 30 days. SO we did mumble and complain to the company about...
