RushCard / UniRush unfair

1st i couldn't find a place to put money on the card and then when i did they said there western union maxhine didn't do it or they didn't know how to do it . Then when i did locate a western union inside of a greyhoumd bus station in Mineapolis, MN the employee triied to do it but ended up taking money off my card instead of applying the money, then when he triewd to give my money back they said i had to contact rush card . i contacted rush card which was suppose to stop payment on the transaction but the money was still taking out of my account to this day i stil; havn't receivec my money back and noone no where it went . rush card tells me greyhound got it greyhound say western union has it and they say rush card so it has ben one big circle of nothing . still don't have my money and all of this started in 9/10 and this is 2/11 wow. help

This service from rush card, costomer service is crap! The worst I have ever experiencedin tryin to get sumthing off the internet, they as for documents and I kno I've sent in these personal info more than 20 times between faxing n email, and each time I call to find out, the machine. Is down, the docs r blurr! Rush card service is fukry! I've. Tried sooo many times! Am jus abt fed up with this service and not being able to reciev anything!

Rushcard recently discontinued pay as you go program february, 2017 where as you make 10. 00 of monthly debit transactions and they reimburse the following month for you debit transactions after 10. 00 keep in mind they charge 1. 00 each debit transaction so since then they have still been charging a 1. 00 after each transaction only difference they dont reimburse the following month when you go over 10. 00 worth of transactions they are keeping the money and the problem is they stated they would only charge up to 10. 00 a monthly and not charge a 1. 00 each transaction after that for the month

This card is the worst thing ever. They blocked my money and now after several faxes they still say that they cant see this and that when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was put on hold for an hour and a half only to be unexpectedly disconnected (They hung up). There business practices are the worst I have ever seen.

Well first of all they are liars because there are hidden fees! They charge $1.00 or $2.00 for every single transaction... Not including the $1.95 fee that you are charged for withdrawing money... And I cant reach anyone to close it! I hate it! Cant get in touch with customer service or nothing! I need to talk with russell simmons... He's suppose to make it easier!"rich man" your making it hard! And no im not juz some angry person raging out! This card sucks "#"ually I would keep complaining! I juz want out! Geeeeeeeesh

9This rush card has been nothing but problems, all these charges and the fees, Russell Simmons should be ashamed of himself we try to support the black man and he's worst then the banks, I couldn't get food for my family cause of the rush card it should be call the ### u card, then have the nerves to give us $5.00 his a millionaire or more $5.00 that's all they taking our money ### this rushcard.it's ashame

on 1-7-2017 I sent money in the amount $21.00. I should have been told that $7.00 would be taken and I would have had the money sent back to me and did a monogram. I want the amount of money taken from what I sent refunded back to that card and the $3.95 charged for my being taken advantage of . The card ending in 9837 I think of as being scammed. Just to think I was told to get a Rush card I trust Net Spend for many years, they treat their clients fair.

The dollars are put back onto the account once the charge posts. So yes they still hold the dollar but no they are not keeping it.

I FILED TAXES IN 2017 FOR 2017 AND RUSH CARD TOLD ME I HAD A DEPOSIT OVER THEIR LIMIT AND I NEEDED TO SEND MY I.D AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD INFORMATION; 1040 AND THEY WOULD RELEASE MY MONEY. I DID WHAT WAS TOLD AND IN TWO DAYS I CHECKED MY ACCOUNT AND TALK TO A SUPERVISION. I ASKED WHAT WAS GOING ON IF THEY HAVE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION THEN HE HANGS THE PHONE UP ON ME. I CALLED BACK AND THEY TELL ME I HAVE NO MONEY. I ASKED FOR ANOTHER SUPERVISOR WHO TELL ME THE MONEY WAS SENT BACK TO THE I.R.S. WHO DIDN'T HAVE IT. SANTA BARBRA DID AND THEY TOLD ME RUSH CARD RESTRICTED MY GOVERNMENT INFORMATION AND I BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS SENT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HAVE I EVER DID TO THAT BANK.I DOESN'T MAKE SINCE .

I have just had the worst customer service. I called and explained that I wanted to hear my last transactions because it should be more money on my card. Before I can even tell the guy what to do he automatically put a block on my card. Without even explaining the steps I didn't want him to block my card.after that a supervisor gets on the phone and tell me its a FEE to get a card overnighted to me. When I didn't tell him to block my card in the first place.when I asked him to talk to his supervisor to see if it can be waived. He said they looked at him like he was stupid. As if I am nobody and asked for my card to be blocked. This is poor customer service!

Ive had my Rushcard for a couple of yrs but never used it until recently for direct deposits...tonight I go to make a payment with a finance company for $3200...declined...i call and my avail balance is more than my purchase...come to find out...Ive been depositing my $ onto a card that is not only going to charge me a fee each time I use it...but is going to limit how much I can spend a day. Talk about pissed! I call cust serv...and got even more pissed. They all say the same scripted thing & provide no solutions! I dont understand what they are even there for.I wont go into the broken English or this "convenience" fee they charge...and wont waive either! So i have to pay again...to complete my transaction...trust my last payroll went it!

I have been trying to get through to customer service since 7am. I cant access my account and I have two deposits coming this week. My card status says inactive but I have had this account for over an year. I promise you this though when you let me in I clearly my card and changing my direct deposits. You have one time to deny me whats mine.

The Rush Card authorized direct deposit without my appoval when I called to find out what happened they had no idea and couldn't give me any info. The customer service agent did not know anything that could help me.

I am a member of the Rush card prepaid debit card. I started using Rush back in 2006 for my income tax. The card is not so bad until you have to speak with a rep over the phone (which is your only option to speak with a rep). Every rep you speak to you doesn't speak good English and half the time they don't have full knowledge on the rush card services. Another thing that upsets me is when you call your never calling the same location and it's never in America. So if my call is disconnected, I have to call back and start all over again with an agent in another country different from the last agent. Russell Simmons needs to place offices in each state that offer the Rush card services and also he needs to have American agents as well as other ethnic backgrounds. I will be ending my services with Rush in November because the customer service is horrible and Russell is sending jobs overseas, big hypocrite: He's protesting on wall street but he supporting over sea jobs. well said. but again for the Nth time c'mon people get off with the fees. we're running a business here & can u name any debit cards w/out fees? Net Spend does and so GreenDot. and hell yeah RC has a high spending limit. y don't u try other debit cards? huh? y don't u just get urself a credit crd or bank account? are u afraid about ur money getting lost? or tracked by the government?

A daily limit is fine and expected. However, a customer by law should be notified of these limits. I am a 12 year customer and found this out the hard way last year. I am finding rushcard to be nothing but ascam and an agent of theivery of people's deposits that Rush keeps claiming to not have received them, even when there is writen proof of wire receipt by both Chase Bank and the depositor.

The maximum amount that can be spent on your RushCard per day is $2, 500.00. This limit is actually higher than many debit cards. This spending limit is outlined in the Cardholder Agreement (http://www.rushcard.com/cardholder.aspx) that you agreed to when you applied for the card. lcombs- RushCard cannot authorize Direct Deposit on anyone's behalf. In our application process, we ask if you would like any government benefits to be deposited to the card, if you check yes than we follow up with you to get gather more information which you may have agreed to at the time and since forgotten as it does take some time to set-up.

RushCard / UniRush bad business/company

i really think that rush card is full of crap and i am going to give them a bad name because i am not going to be dealing with people who play to many games with other people's money. I have been asking them to send my husband and my money back to where they have received it from and they are playing many games with us and screwing around with money. I would like to know what can be done with these people because it is so bad that I am trying to refrain from using foul language because of the way that I have been treated by your company. I wish that I could find a way to get a hold of Russell Simmons because I will send him a note letting him know how I have been treated by his business. I don’t know why they would have someone who is not the United States working for them at all. This place is full crap

I, too, suspect UniRush is more scam than real.
For one, the account I set up with them was associated with a Facebook scam that I mistakenly opted into. Now I'm trying to correct it, and they won't let me delete my account! They can't be contacted at their US headquarters (if they have one). And there are four other accounts in my name (I only applied for one)! My information is circulating in cyberspace where anyone can rip it, thanks to them.

RushCard / UniRush misrepresentation of terms of use

I opened my account with Rush Card late last year, but never received the 1st card. I contacted their office shortly after the holidays and received my card around the early part of January 2011. Knowing that both income tax refund and school disbursments were coming in a few weeks, I decided to have my school refund added to the Rush Card - boy was that a mistake I soon realized. Like most people, when they get a large sum of money, they want to pay bills and go shopping; I was no different. I wanted to make sure that I did not go over my spending limit for the day, so I looked on the website; under their FAQs after searching under several related topics, I finally found out that it was a 2500 limit per day, combined with both POS and ATM transactions. My total for the day was exactly 2, 495.27, which means I was about to go over and I dont anything I would buy for a few cents. However, I had made more than 4 calls to their customer service center. I spoke to a rep, who told me that I would not have access to my remaining money until 24 hrs from the 1st transaction! WHAT? I made a transaction at 10:33am on 02/03/11 and I wouldnt have access to the amount I paid online until after 10:33am on 02/04/11. THAT WAS THE MOST STUPIDEST THING I HAVE EVER HEARD. The supervisor named Crystal told me that I would be able to withdraw all of my money around 4:30pm, which was around 9 hrs after my call! I have dealt with other prepaid checking accounts and some banks; 24 hrs is based on the day change, not the actual 24hr period. I looked throughout their TOS, the Cardholder Agreement and no where, not even in legal terms, does it say what I was told. It does acknowledge that your spending limit is within a 24hr period, but it is vague and any person with any level of common sense would not think it meant actually 24 specific hours, minutue to minute. I am extremely dissatsified and Im reporting them to the BBB and the enitity that mandates financial institutions because this is not right to any customer who has to wait to get THEIR MONEY.

Frustrating is not the word for what I felt after hearing this - you really need to consider changing this policy because of the fact that there are many people, like myself, who have children and we do not know when an emergency will arise. Having a restriction on MY MONEY is stupid and as soon as I am able, I am going to transfer to another pre paid service. I undestood completely about the spending limit, which is higher than most companies; HOWEVER I should be able to have access to MY MONEY when I NEED IT, not when you FEEL like I should have it. Secondly, regarding the 24hr period, I dont know of any bank that does not update their systems, like the FDIC does, at midnight or depending on the time zone, which would allow me to have access to MY MONEY when it does. I dont need clarity, I need to have access to MY MONEY when I NEED IT. Period. From the complaints I have read here and from other people who have had bad experiences, Im very disappointed that a man like Russell Simmons would continue to support such a service like the Rush Card because there is nothing "RUSH" about it.

I am having the exact same problem. Do you realize how embarrasing it is for your card to be declined when you know you have more than enough funds on your card to cover the costs? That is crazy. I never know when the the 24 hour begins or ends. I was told 3 different times it would "reset". Huh? that is the most stupidest thing I have ever heard. so since I used my card yesterday at 2:21 I have to wait until tomarrow at 2:51 to use it again? Where does that make sense? I dont think I will be a customer much longer. As a matter of fact Im getting rid of it in a RUSH!

In the Cardholder Agreement as well as in our FAQ section it is stated that "The combined spending limit for your RushCard is $2, 500 for all Point of Sale (POS) and ATM transactions that occur in a 24-hour period. ATM withdrawals are limited to $1, 500 during that 24-hour period." Meaning that you can only spend up to that amount in that period, once you reach the 24hr mark from your first transaction (literally 24hrs not next business day). RushCard / UniRush unethical practices

I have been a customer of rushcard for almost 3 years. The reason for my complaint is that i've had numerous issues with the company not protecting me again unauthorized transactions that have occurred on my account. Each instance that i've had unauthorized transactions, I have had to do the "leg" work in getting the issues finally resolved. This latest occurrence of an unauthorized transaction was the straw that broke the camels back. I found out on 1/10/11 when attempting to use my card to make a purchase, that rushcard had blocked my pre-paid debit card, due to the fact that on old card that I had with their company (Which was supposed to be closed in february 2010 due to the card expiring), was in fact still open & 2 unauthorized debits in the amount of $118.94 each were posted to the card, causing that old card to have a negative balance in the amount of $237.88. After much probing & numerous calls into rushcard customer service, I found out that the 2 transactions were from a days inn motel location in southern ca that I had stayed at in oct. 2009, & the days inn didn't submit the transaction settlement until 12/10/2010. After much back & forth calls between days inn & rushcard customer service, days inn has finally agreed to reimburse me those 2 amounts of $118.94, due to the fact of misconduct on behalf of a former employee of theirs. However, rushcard has still not unblocked my card so that I can have access to those funds, which is an amazement to me since the merchant has reimbursed the funds back to the card. Rushcard customer care agents & supervisors keep telling me that they will have to send an email to their corporate office to see if my card can be unblocked, which they say it will take 1-2 business before I get a call-back response. That is unexceptible for me.

i went 2 the gas pump 2 pay at the pump, but found out u can't pay at the pump with rushcard...i am disable...took a trip from ga. 2 conn...everytime i got gas i had 2 walk inside...inconvenience...if i had known before i switch...i would.nt have switch...

I have been trying to get my funds from Rushcard for 6 days. They blocked and closed my account. They sent my money via moneygram but put a requirement that I must claim it in Florida. I am in New Jersey and cannot get my money. All they keep saying is we cant help you and corporate will call me. Its been 6 days! It was my whole paycheck they are holding from me. Corporate never calls. All they need to do is call Moneygram and fix it. I have called moneygram but they will only fix it if the sender calls.

Deavanne- I apologize for your frustration. When your card expires, you are reissued a new card to the same account. The "old card" is not linked to an "old account", your account stays the same, only the card changes, the same as if you lost your card & were issued a new one. Your card was blocked because you brought to our attention that unauthorized transactions were taking place. It is our standard procedure that anytime these claims are made we immediatly block the card to prevent any further activity and to ensure the safety of your account. RushCard / UniRush they suck

I have been using Rush Card for the past 2 years and have never had any issues with them until recently. My husband is having x amount of money deposited on my card from his paycheck. The money was supposed to be deposited on my card on Wed Dec 22, 2010 and it didnt deposit. I called Rush Card to see what was going on and they said they needed verification that we are married and a copy of our license. We faxed the documents and was told that the funds would be on my card in 1-2 business days. Well 1-2 business days later the money still isnt there. I called them once again and faxed them documents again! They said the money will be there the next day by 9am. 9am came and went and still no money! I called again and was told my money will be there in 3- hours. Ok much better. NOT! Money still not received. Now they are saying that the money will be there in 24 hours. I am so pissed and all I want is my damn money. Rush Card has the worst customer service! Nobody will transfer me to the Finance Dept. IF and WHEN my money hits the card I will withdrawl every penny and CANCEL my account. And I thought Rush Card was suppose to help people get back on the right track with their credit. Will I refer anyone to Rush Card? HELL NO!

Why is it that if any persons call rushcard customer services from my phone they are given information about my account with just the last four of my ss#.. I have had a rush card for 3yrs, and refurd my husband a month ago.
So I was all for rush card untill I tryed to take a phone number off of my account; I called for two hours and talked to 4 ppl who said the number was removed (it was not) before asking for a supervising manager to fix this problem. Would you belive she told me theirs nothing more they could do to keep a person from accessing my account from that number with just the last four of my ss# .. Lost and confused by that answer I ask another question and she hung up on me; I was nice and polite with each person and I still go nowhere. . So all I could think of was cancelling my account ; when I called to do that still no care and concern or a why... All that just to removie a phone number from my account..

Thank you very much i only have one kid! im pregnant right now, so before you go on about something you know nothing about stop and evaluate the situation and another thing you know nothing about, they had me send both of our id's, social security cards, marriage certificate, and w-2's and they said they could do so seriously stop ### yourself!

Yeah rushcard is a joke, i have had many problems in which i send atleast 3 emails for every problem and NEVER get a response and today my husband and my joint federal tax refund was pending due to his name not being on my card, its MY refund too, my name is on it, well after 6 hours of faxing stuff and calling and being put on hold for atleast a half hour each time and getting told 3 different things, 1st is was that it would post the next day, then it was 2-3 hours, then it was not until monday because its friday and they didnt get the paper work until after 5 which is a lie because they got it and confirmed they got it at 4pm est. now i have to wait to monday and see if its there which it most likely wont be and then will have to call again and be put on hold for half an hour just to get a person who doesnt speak english and i cant understand and we are not talking about 300 bucks or even a thousand, its OVER 6, 000! and they dont give a damn about their customers, im through with this ###! and they want me to have my husband open an account HA NO WAY!

RushCard / UniRush direct deposit

The customer service never pulled my direct deposit so jp morgan chase bank sent my direct deposit back and they told me it would 3-5 business day and it has been a week and I still haven't recieved my money, and they have no idea when it would be sent to me... Then horrible customer service representatives you can 't understand what they are saying because they do not speak proper english. Its bad enough that I am a single mother collecting unempoyment, my rent is due, electric bill and cable are due what and I suppose to tell my bill collectors oh I can't pay you becasue they did't pull my direct deposit. Bill collectors don't want to here that.

The proper Authorities have to be inform about the illegal practices of this Company owned by Russel Simmons, him of all shameful, its all about taking peoples money as a disguise of human errors and mal-functions, Hense no one seems to desire to address your legitimate complains, ill be complainning to all the Agencies and Attorney General, s this week. $72 is what i am owed they failed to deposit to my account, and yet still have no records of my money orders and failed to cancell this account even when requested to.

RushCard / UniRush unauthorized charge

I signed up for Rush Card about 2 or 3 years ago and of course I was happy with them, I actually did use my Rush Card one-time and it was for a 1 week trial period for a service online. I tried it out for a day, it sucked and cancelled the service the next day. Guess what, there was about 4 Unauthorized transactions that equaled to about over $100.00, Rush Card told me to call merchant and when I called merchant several times and I left several messages with the merchant at least once a day, and guess what, no return phone call. I knew something was fishy so I called Rush Card, cancelled my card and they sent me Replacement card which I am cool with. They said 60 - 90 days, come on, I provided proof and everything so they can send them VISA to check on it and said it was valid. Now, I will definitely not sign up for so called trial periods unless I call it physically over the phone to try it. They told me that, they provided a valid CVS #, come on. any fraudulant company can steal c/c information now which is called IDENTITY FRAUD, I am going to call VISA and ask them to provide proof of any signed documents or agreements, and if they can't provide it, I can get my relative whom is a lawyer to sue VISA.

RushCard / UniRush unauthorized charges & atm withdraws

I've been with a Rushcard for 3 maybe 4 years now and have had troubles with it for 2 years. There have been unauthorized charges on my card including ATM withdrawls and i dont know how this keeps happening when im the only one with my card at all times. This time $603 has been withdrawn and nobody knows how this could have happened. I have talked to several representatives and they can't do anything about it but tell me to dispute it which they say takes up to 60 days. This couldn't be a worse time to happen for me. Rent is due as well as bills, I have my babyshower to plan in less than 2 months and can't do a thing now. This should not happen to people constantly.
How could it even be possible to use an ATM without the actual card and pin number? Rush is full of it and Im sick of this bull...

I agree the customer service is terrible. The employees have significant difficulty understanding anything that is not scripted for them. However, I don't find this to be any different from other companies that I use.

I think the problem is we expect more from the black man because we understand his ability. We know his spirit and expect it to carry over into all aspects of his business.

I am not excusing the problems I or anyone is having. It is unacceptable. But hell, so are all the other customer service "genius' ".

Don't over exaggerate this customer service it is just as bad as other outsourced customer service. Simmons is doing his thing don't hate. We all mad right now, especially when our money gets tied up. I say Don't let them get you. Write letters, call his other corporations until he rights the problem. Isn't that what we do for other corporations?

I disagree with mommie-2-b, your reps have lied to me about everything that i have experienced with rushcard I would advise Russell Simmons not to even associate himself with this until he moves rushcard call center to the United States when its easier to understand the reps. the reps clearly dont understand nor do the care about their customers. which is i will no longer have my direct deposit go onto my rushcard anymore i have gone with another prepaid card which doesnt charge $19.95 for depositing your own money. so beware of rushcard cuz they will keep your money that you have worked hard for.

The customer service of this company is terrible. I cant get through to check my balance over the internet nor phone. When you want to talk to some one there the representatives barely speak english. The company also charge you for every purchase you make. If this isn't a rip off some one tell me what you call it.

My direct deposit still has not posted, and several attempts with customer service either ended with misinformation, passing the buck, or flat out not answering the phone/busy signal. This has been for the last couple days afterwhich Mr. Simmons claims that the issues have been resolved, but clearly this is not the case.

This comment is in reference to the outage that has affected hundreds of people including myself. I saw the apology that Mr. Simmons offered, although heartfelt and sincere, this does not cut it. People have not been able to pay their bills, get money for food, gas and all the essentials that come along with having their card. The company should not only apologize but should compensate monetarily each and every individual who was affected by this mess of an upgrade. The system was working fine before and didn't need any improvements. We have not been able to access our accounts in 3 days. This is ridiculous and unacceptable. Mr. Simmons is a millionaire and I'm sure is not affected by this at all finance wise. I took this card because of the high fees and hassles of banks and credit unions, but once this is straightened out and I'm able to withdraw all of my money I will be severing my tides with rush card because the entire situation has been poorly handled and is devastating to say the least.

I have been with Rush Card almost three years, Today I was on the phone with PayPal and Rush Card a the same time, after staying on hold for one hour and twenty minutes the refusal of letting us speak to a supervisor, telling us to call Chase bank in which was a bad idea because Chase bank has Rush Card as a client not me. We called Chase bank for them to only tell us to call Rush Card Back. We called back Rush Card and the Supervisor told us it was not their fault that three times my money was sent back to PayPal (Can't Locate Account)! Mean while Pay Pal has the same information that they had in March/April hence their was no problem getting funds, now their is. The supervisor told me to find another way to get my money which is insane. The customer service agents can barely speak English which really is unfair to the customer. Once in Jan/Feb Rush Card let a transaction go through when I did not have enough funds to cover it when the transaction was suppose to be a layaway. So my account went into the negative so I had to borrow money so it did not mess up my direct deposits. I knew how much money I had that is why I was laying the items away. Their is proof of this on my statement, Now who knows how long I might have to wait to receive my money in which I really need in the worst way, I feel as though Rush Card should take care of my loss of money due to their fault. I was trying to hang in to support a black owned business but, it is starting to affect me in the worst way! Their are probably more than 20 other complaints I just don't have to list them. Yeah rushcard is a joke, i have had many problems in which i send atleast 3 emails for every problem and NEVER get a response and today my husband and my joint federal tax refund was pending due to his name not being on my card, its MY refund too, my name is on it, well after 6 hours of faxing stuff and calling and being put on hold for atleast a half hour each time and getting told 3 different things, 1st is was that it would post the next day, then it was 2-3 hours, then it was not until monday because its friday and they didnt get the paper work until after 5 which is a lie because they got it and confirmed they got it at 4pm est. now i have to wait to monday and see if its there which it most likely wont be and then will have to call again and be put on hold for half an hour just to get a person who doesnt speak english and i cant understand and we are not talking about 300 bucks or even a thousand, its OVER 6, 000! and they dont give a damn about their customers, im through with this ###! and they want me to have my husband open an account HA NO WAY!

RushCard / UniRush change in direct deposit without my knowledge, approval or request to do so

I recently filled out an on-line application to receive a Rush Card which is a Debit Card. I also receive compensation montly from the Veterans Administration. Whenever I call VA to get information or make changes to the way my money is received, I have to give personal information which I did not make available to this Debit Card company.

On June 1, I called my bank to check to see if my deposit was made. It was not. I called VA and was informed by them that my direct deposit had been changed. I could not get info from them as to who changed it, when and where was it changed to.

Upon investigation, I found that my direct deposit had been changed to go to this Rush Debit Card, without my acknowledgement or approval. VA made the changes without advising me in writing or by phone, and they have address and phone number to reach me.

Further, how dare this Debit Card company take it on their own and change my direct deposit. This is very UNETHICAL business practice and I don't see how they were able to accomplish it. Like I said, I can't change anything with VA without supplying certain personal information. This direct deposit is supplied to me because of the death of my son who is a Veteran. You need his name, date of birth, date of death, branch of service, etc.

I am very disappointed in Rush Card to do such and unethical thing as changing my direct deposit without my request or knowledge. I'm not sure exactly where to go from here but I will be doing some investigating to find out how I can rectify this problem and also make it common knowledge so other's don't find themselves in this same predicament.

This is deceptive and unethical business practices. When someone is interested in receiving a debit card in order to function in our society and to be taken advantage of in this way is very unethical. How can a company change anything about your finances without your request, written or otherwise? I need to know what the law is regarding this matter.

Rush Card is withholding my funds! I haven't been able to access my funds for 2 days! The deadlines to fix the system upgrade haven't been met! When you call into speak with custom service a recording tells you to call back later! Opening a new account else where! This is ruining my life

I was pleased with rushcard the first few years i was with them. After one of my credit cards were stolen from me, i immediately notified rushcard to close that one account out. I filed a fraud report with rushcard. They sent a replacement card to me within 7 days. I began to use my replacement card while the fraud investigation was being done. About 2weeks later, these idiots at rushcard put a block on my replacement credit cards, then closed my accounts out without any notice or nothing. I also had money left on my cards. It took over a month to receive the cash i still had. The represenatives i spoke with lied, gave me the "run around". They dismissed the fraud investigation as well. I do not recommend rushcard at all. They are HORRIBLE...HORRIBLE

I am sorry that this has been a frustrating experience for you. I looked into your issue for and our records show that when you completed your application you were asked:

“If you currently receive federal benefit payments, RushCard can set up direct deposit of your benefits to your card for you. Are you interested in using this FREE service? (Note: this does not apply to child support payments)" and you selected "Yes".

The next screen then gave you a list of federal benefits that you received and you selected “Veternans Compensation & Pension".

Our next step for enrolling customers is that we send either an email our a phone call from us where we asked you to please confirm that your information is correct in order to receive your benefits directly deposited onto your RushCard. If this is not the case, that you did not select this option on your application and that you did not confirm via email or telephone, please call us immediately at [protected].

I hope that we can get this issue resolved and that you will remain a RushCard member. Again, I apologize for this headache and would love to hear any feedback that you may have, please email me at suggestions@rushcard.com

RushCard / UniRush poor customer service!!!

I don't understand why we hire aliens to work in jobs that are to provide excellent customer service. I was put on hold by 3 representatives for more than 20 mins, all because I ask to speak to a supervisor as to why my renewal card wasn't mailed out earlier than 2 weeks before it's the end of the month. No one came to the phone I hung up and called back a total of 3 times, finally I told the last agent iris, I was going to use her as the escape goat, I want to talk with a supervisor, and she put me on hold for 2 mins and came back and fed me a line of # that all of the supervisors were all taking calls at that time and I would need to leave a number for them to call me back after 2 hours. What?
They better be glad their # # are in ohio. No english speaking mofo's!

they yelled at me then hung up. told i didnt have and money
I FILED TAXES IN 2013 FOR 2012 AND RUSH CARD TOLD ME I HAD A DEPOSIT OVER THEIR LIMIT AND I NEEDED TO SEND MY I.D AND SOCIAL SECURITY CARD INFORMATION; 1040 AND THEY WOULD RELEASE MY MONEY. I DID WHAT WAS TOLD AND IN TWO DAYS I CHECKED MY ACCOUNT AND TALK TO A SUPERVISION. I ASKED WHAT WAS GOING ON IF THEY HAVE MY PERSONAL INFORMATION THEN HE HANGS THE PHONE UP ON ME. I CALLED BACK AND THEY TELL ME I HAVE NO MONEY. I ASKED FOR ANOTHER SUPERVISOR WHO TELL ME THE MONEY WAS SENT BACK TO THE I.R.S. WHO DIDN'T HAVE IT. SANTA BARBRA DID AND THEY TOLD ME RUSH CARD RESTRICTED MY GOVERNMENT INFORMATION AND I BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS SENT. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT HAVE I EVER DID TO THAT BANK.I DOESN'T MAKE SINCE .

I purchased a Rush card @ Walgreens thinking it was a green dot card of some kind, One reason being that in LARGE letters it has a GREEN DOT/ PAY PAL logo printed right on the front of the reload card. I am semi new to using the pre paid card system in the first place so I am unfamiliar with the wide variation of cards. Also, It was the only one on the rack, So My choices were none. Like an idiot, Rather than just walk out, I bought this card after reading the word Green Dot and RE-LOAD, I still was not sure what a RUSH CARD was. After trying to RE-LOAD My existing GREEN DOT card, Mind You, I only put 30.00 on the card, Plus the 4.95 initial cost from Walgreens, I returned to the store the next day with My receipt and the card, After being told that Walgreens could not refund My money, The manager kindly dialed the number for Rush Card and let Me speak to a customer rep. Not happy about it, But with no other way out than to apply for a Rush Card over the phone right then, I gave My information to the rep. and was told I would have My card in 7-10 working days. The time period came and went, Without My checking on the so called "status" of My card as the customer Representative had said I could do. It was 30.00, Not 300.00, Why worry? About 15 days into it, I finally called And got cut off I don't know how many times, On a minute phone, I can tell You, I started to get twisted, When I finally did get someone on the phone and went through all the crap AGAIN, I was told I did not qualify for one? IT'S A PRE-PAID CARD!, HOW DO I NOT QUALIFY? AGAIN, I give her all My info and the address, I had just moved and was using a friend's as a mailing address, She tells Me that I have to give her a different address? WHAT? The whole time, I am having to repeatedly ask her what she had just said, Because I could not make out what she was saying.I asked what she meant by a"different address". I said that is the only address I have, What am I supposed to do? Just pull one out of a hat? She said, Yes, I need a different address, I can not send you a card to the address You gave Me. At this point I tried to tell her that I wanted a supervisor. Also, I could not say one or two words before she would interrupt Me. I asked her to please not interrupt. When she did it on that request also, I asked if she knew the definition of the word . She told Me to stop getting mad, ( I was not YET and had not spoke out with foul language of any kind, ) I told her that I wanted to speak with her supervisor and I had nothing left to say to her at all. All the while getting interruptions from her with every sentence I started. Thinking I am on hold for a supervisor finally, I sat back and waited, Just glad to be off the phone with her, FOUR minutes, If not FIVE went by with dead silence and My heart pounding like her head needed to be. All of the sudden, She said, Are You Finished? I had to look at the phone. I said, What? i thought I was done with You a long time ago? I've been waiting for a supervisor! I said, Do You people just do this crap with every one that calls? You play this ### until they get tired and just give up? Then on to the next complaint? The piss cutter of the whole thing is this, GREEN DOT, although it is printed right on front of the RUSH CARD Is in NO WAY, SHAPE OR FORM, CONNECTED WITH RUSH CARD in ANY WAY! As it states on the back, In small print. WHAT THE f*** IS IT ON THE CARD FOR? IF this is the case? You would think that somehow the laws of false advertising or fraud or just plain ### would give consumers some kind of leverage against these kind of operations from being in business in the first place. Based on part by the fact that We can't understand a damn word they say, We Loose out on our end and tough ###? I am left only to feel sorry for the people that have put a lot of money into this f***in' white or tan in this case, collar crime. Every extra day they can not give a persons money back, It's just more in interest they make. I believe it is INTENTIONAL.

I went to my atm this morning and that I was trying to withdraw 200 and the atm only gave me 40.00 and that when I seen I was charge 200.00 I then call rush card.

Now they said to me that they will be sending me the forms and that I never seen the forms. Then when I called I go t the worst customer service rep and managers that I ever seen and that they then told me. That I would have to wait for 60 days and then when I said that I was told a differnt time frame.

What the manager said was I would have to wait and what I said was I know russel simmions and that I want it in 2 hours the paper work.

So what I am telling ever one is that rushcard is full of # and that you should not use there cards

Im a card holder with rush card and I had a transaction made on my card that I was not aware of and when I contacted customer services they blocked all transation and told me to fax off my information which I did and after this they told me it would take 30 days for the investagation for my card to be unblocked and I waited but still called to check up on my founds and it became a problem after two monts after because they kept telling me that it would take 48 hours to here from corperate which we never heard from im still awaiting for my money.

I had the same thing happen to me which is why i have now switched to greendot and switched my direct deposit with my employer how i got my money back was that i sent a fax to there corporate office regarding my atm transaction and within the hour i checked my bal and it was returned to me. Russell Simmons shouldnt even put his name behind this card or it will ruin him. i feel that he should be on the website reading these complaints and switch rushcard to the United States where the customers will be able to understand the reps cuz none of them speak very good english.

RushCard / UniRush Stolen my money

On 1/21/2010 I email [protected]@rushcards.com to ask why my account was blocked. They told me that I had to fax a copy of my DL, SS card and a copy of my tax return from a previous year for $1800+ dollars. I told them ain't no way I was going to fax a copy of my 1040 form to them especially with all the reviews I read about them stealing peoples money, any my family's personal information on it. Something told me it was fraudently. So I told them to close my account and to NOT acccept my 2009 tax deposit from the IRS, and to send it back so they could issue me a paper check in the mail. The agent name Bryan Caranto told me my accout was closed. Then on 1/29/2010 I got an email from them telling me I had a direct deposit. Even though my account was closed, I could still log in, and low and behold, they accepted my money from the IRS.

I called the IRS and was told since the account was closed, they was supposed to not accept my funds and it would have went back to the IRS and I would have been issued a paper check.

Am very disappointed in how I was treated by a manager of the dispute department of rush first I filed a dispute that to this date have not been satisfied then I was suppose to get feed back from rush but never did unless I called, but when I thought it couldn't get no worst I was so disrespected by a manger named ulando he was just very rude unprofessional and not whom I would want anybody to endure his behavior this manager was talking very rude loud to me also putting me on mute while I was talking to him he then told me to do what ever I want that he does not care and that there is nothing he can do to help me and ended the call I don't think anybody should have to deal with unprofessional people like this I am sure russel simmon does not know that people like ulando in georgia call center is representing his name this way but I will be forwarding this to the proper hands that will deliver

Rush card is full of scams n fraud! I will be Reporting them to the better Business Bureau tomorrow morning I wouldn't Recommend anyone using them! They are very Unprofessional ! I tried to Cancel My card and get My Refund back cause I don't want the card the manager told me It's Nothing they can do for me!

RushCard / UniRush blocking your card and not giving you your money back

i had rush card and back in 2007 i did overdraw my account. and again in 2008. now it is in aug 2009 and the first of aug i took out from a atm 1, 000 rush card blocked my card and said that by me taking 1, 000 from my account that it was a fraud withdraw. i called them and told them it was me that made that withdraw. then they said that back in 2007 that i was overdrawn and in 2008. it has been a month and they tell me that they have to have an account investigator to look at my account. that has been a month now. and they tell me every time i call them that someone is going to return my call. but i got one call and the told me that they are still ###ting.

I just want to say that I will be taking legal action if something isn't done about these issues. I am a single mother of three and it is very critical that I have access to all of my funds. Im not ususally a litigious person, but when it comes to my children Ill do what I have to do. I have been locked out of my account for 3 days now and its just not right. RushCard / UniRush holding my money

I rented a car on July 16, 2009. Hertz rental company wanted a deposit for the car. When I brought the car back, they said it will take 3 to 5 business days to return the $200 deposit back on my account. Hertz has sent me a copy of the release form stating that Rush is suppose to release my money. That was going on two weeks ago! Rush still has not release my money! They keep telling me that they haven't receive the form yet. They also told me that there is not coporate number or address to give me so that I may speak to someone about my issue. This is crazy! I even put both companys on three way and Rush said that they could not release it without that form. Hertz has sent that form to them 4 seperate times! I'm so fed up with this unprofessional, uneducated company!

RushCard / UniRush stop payment

To whom this may concern i am writing in regards to my Visa Rushcard. Tonite i made a purchase online to this anti-virus protection Witabett.com and found out it was a scam, so i called my Rushcard hotline to speak to a rep and do u know they refused to put a stop payment on this item for me the item in question was suppose to download and did not so i just lost 51.45 that i could have saved to feed my kids with or something of that nature i am not trying to sound like a victim but i feel if u advertise that u can have all this freedom with Rushcard purchases and they cant do a stop payment then its just like a scam too. I personally feel like that as long as whoever makes this card and advertise it is comfortable they could care less about the average working citizen 51.45 might not seem like a lot of money to u but it was to me i just want to be treated fairly...

RushCard / UniRush returned check deposit

Worst customer service ever!
I called to ask if it was okay to send a check that was over a certain limit and was told yes send the check in and it would post to my account in 10 business days.
I sent the check next day air; tracking it and it arrived on june 30, 2009
I called to check of the date it would clear and was told it did not arrive.
I told the person it did and was signed for by "person who signed" at 8:15 am.
They still said it had not arrived and since it's over the limit it can not be deposited and would return.
I told them I was told to send the check and that it would clear.
They said there were no guarentees and the check would be sent back. They said someone will call me. No one ever did.
I called on july 6th and was told the check was on it's way back to me, but they did not have a tracking number. How odd?
So today (July 7th) I called them again and asked for the tracking number for the check they're returning to me.
I was told they don't have one. I said how do you know it's on it's way back to me and they said it was on it's way to their lock box. I said that's not what I was told.
Again they said someone will call me... Yeah er right!
I said that is totally unreasonable and I need to talk to someone now. I asked to speak to their corporate office. I was told they do not have a transferring #. I asked for the direct number and was told there wasn't one.
Frustrated I said, "how the hell do you get in touch with them than?" and was told via email.
So I said, "fine give me an email address."
"i'm sorry we cannot do that!"
Something is wrong with rush card/jp morgan and I will never ever do business with them again!
Oh and get this in closing I told them I am closing my account, how will my funds left in the account be returned to me...
Oh ma'am we'll send you a check and it'll take 8 to 10 business days!
I'll repeat myself! I will never do business with rush card/jp morgan and if you are smart you won't either!

RushCard / UniRush bad service

This is a summary of what happened to me as a result of using a

prepaid Visa card from a company call RushCard. On Friday, January 2, 2009

I went to withrdraw $400.00 from the card to get a money order to pay my

rent. The transaction failed. The receipt stated that the terminal timed

out. The clerk suggested that I wait awhile and try again. I tried again

and the transaction went through. I then tried to do a third transaction

when I was told I did not have enough money in my account. I went home

looked up my account online and found out that I had been charged for the

first transaction that I never received money for.

I called RushCard who advised me that the charge would drop off after 48

hours. I waited 48 business hours and called again on Tuesday, January 6,

2009. They then told me that the dispute could take up to 90 days. I put

up a huge fuss about waiting 90 days to get my money so they told me to fax

over a Dispute Resolution Form they emailed me .

I then faxed over the dispute resolution form on Wednesday, January, 7, 2009 with

the receipt and copy of my ID. They then told me another 48 hours after I

put pressure on them because I am not willing to wait 90 days for my money.

I called today, Friday, January 9, 2009, after another 48 hours and I have

to wait again. After I expressed much disapproval they told me that the

earliest they could have "an answer", not my money, but an answer for me

was February, 28, 2009. I continued to press the issue and then I was told

they would have "an answer" in about 3-5 business days.

I asked for the physical mailing address, they told me they could not give

it to me. I asked for the local phone number, they stated they could not

give it to me. I asked for corporate contact information and they stated

they cannot give it to me. The only thing she told me was that she was in

Chicago, Illinois, when on Tuesday I was given a P.O. Box in Cincinnati,

Ohio. I asked for the name of her supervisor, and she being a supervisor

would not give me the name or her superior. I stated, " do you mean to

tell me that you cannot give me the name of your supervisor?", she agreed.

I then threated to call ABC, CBS, NBC, and every three letter agency I

could think of and she finally gave me the name of "a" supervisor.

On Friday, January 16, 2009, aftr 5 business days I called back for them to

tell me that they have no credit for me and I may have to wait before or

after February 28, 2009.

I am so upset. I cannot get my money. They are treating me as if they have

a right to my money, this is a debit card, not a credit card. Their terminal

timed out and now I am suffering.

I was withdrawing the money from a check-cashing place from a live person not an ATM machine like they keep claiming. The money was going to be used to pay my rent. I now have over $100 in late fees and money that was supposed to go towards my other bills have gone towards my rent.

I don't think they plan to ever give me my $400.00 back. I have the receipt that says their terminal timed out.

to anyone trying to reach rushcard you need to call METEBANK witch issues rushcard. the number is [protected]. the reason you can't get through is they recognize YOUR PHONE NUMBER and the system puts your call in the automated bracket.Metabank KNOWS this and they will gladly connect you through their system so rushcard can't recognize the number. YOU WILL GET TO SPEAK TO A LIVE PERSON. dont know if your particular problem will be resolved but you can speak to someone. DO NOT BE RUDE TO META BANK EMPLOYEE this person does not work for rushcard. this is a qiick back door to reach rushcard. they do not have to do this. PLEASE consider the orther victims of this card who also need to reach rushcard,

These people at rush card told me i would not recieve my money back when i told them i was in a different state i dis a police report an called the one place that had an address to see if they had any transaction at by the last 4 on the card they had no idea what i was talking about i faxed letters an everything else im about to get the legal services involved..

Omg my daughter is going through the same thing she cant get her money cant talk to anyone over customer service. I have been on the phone with her trying to get her money and its the same thing over and over. They keep telling her they will send it western union but never have a reference number. She cant even go to the bank which is pnc with her id to get money but you cant. Her rent is pass due no gas money for the car to get to work no money for food lights gas. Please tell me how can she get her money and she promise never to use rush card ever again. This has been going on since october 2015
