I accepted a quote which I had obtained through Shiply with a courier company called Beech Couriers / Rod Axford to delivery two items from Derbyshire to Paris.
This was in early January and the items were due to be delivered on 22 January but have STILL NOT ARRIVED and Rod Axford is not getting back to me. Firstly, I was told that this was owing to the fire in the Channel Tunnel, which I can appreciate.
But then I was told it was due a "full customs inspection" at St Omer. However, I have subsequently discovered that there are no customs inspections between the UK and France. Rod is not getting back to me and from reviews of Shiply I have little hope that Shiply will provide any support.
Needless to say I am very worried about the whereabouts of my items and would STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT USE ROD AXFORD / BEECH COURIERS / BEECH ANTIQUES / SHIPLY.
I had the misfortune of Meeting this man many years ago He has caused me to have bailiffs at my home resulting in me paying thousands of pounds out.. He also is Known aß Richard Small He tricked me into believing his hard luck stories and i felt sorry for him.. We have had a similar result using this con artist at the end of October 2015. He transported some boxes from Spain to UK, several of the boxes were missing we realised when unpacking. Obviously the ones containing valuable items and some important documents and personal sentimental items that we need to retrieve. Since contacting him to inform him he has stopped answering our calls.

I have also tried to contact shiply on several ocassions who it seems never answer the phones.
i am currently taking Rod Axford to court (Beech Antiques). He is a con artist (sorry). He did a partial house clearance for us taking antiques on a sale or return basis from my Dad's house. He sold some of the items and kept the money. We managed to salvage a few others. He is very plausible but from my experience a nightmare. My brother who lives in the same town of Leominster thinks he's going bust. As I say, we're taking him to court - not sure we'll get any money back - but for my Dad's sake feel we should at least try.
He is doing it to me too - did your situation resolve? Would you be interested in taking action against him? I think he has done this to so many it may now be a criminal situation.
