NorthStyle The worst company to deal with

This is without a doubt the worst company to deal with. I shop with a lot of catalog companies but never had the problems I've had with them.
I ordered a dress & pocketbook, I waited & waited, finally the pocketbook came. I called to see when the dress was coming, they told me it was backordered. I really wanted the dress. Another phone call they tell me it's no longer available. Neither time did they email me to let me know, isn't that common courtesy. Then I get a catalog and the dress is in there. Now...wouldn't you think that the customers that ordered it first would be the first to get it. No, I call again I had to order it again, then took weeks to get it. Another problem...placed order on Jan 6 with my debit card...no confirmation, didn't see the amt taken off my debit card. I email once, twice, no response. How rude! I order the same item on Jan 17, this time I got a confirmation. I have been waiting, I called last week she said it would be shipped tomorrow, still haven't seen it. Called today, he tells me my card was declined. I know there was plenty of money on my card. So I give him my credit card number ( that I really didn't want to use) and he says order will go out right away. (Yeah right) I call my debit card to see why they declined, they tell me that that company never contacted them for a purchase. Three guesses who is not telling the truth and the first two don't count!

NorthStyle Customer service and expedited shipping

Ups and fedex are at our door at least 4 times a week - we normally order from amazon prime - but i saw some things in the northstyle catalog that i really liked and wanted to try them out. What a joke - i received an email confirmation of my order the same day - - paid through the nose for 2nd day shipping.

I wish i had read all the reviews about this company before i placed my order. First, one item is still back ordered after 2 weeks - 4 items say "shipped", we only received 2 in one box. There is no way to get tracking information - and their customer service request page is false and a lie - no one ever emails or calls back - after multiple attempts - i will never use this company again and i would recommend everyone to run, hide their wallets, and stick to amazon - this company is run by a bunch of incompetents.

On 8/12 they finally listed fedex tracking for one package – again - paid for 2nd day shipping on all items - states shipped on 8/4 and arriving on 8/12. This is not 2nd day shipping - i want a refund on the 2nd day charges - i will be posting every day on a different review site about how horrible this company is – i have made at least 5 attempts to contact them with zero response. Quite alarming and disgusting way to do business.

Lastly - to add icing to the cake - we paid for 2nd day shipping - and it showed they would use fedex - so the delivery address is shown as my home address - we do not get postal delivery at our home - so we have to use a po box for mail delivery - now the fedex tracking shows usps will deliver - cross my fingers that the postal worker who handles this package knows me - otherwise the package will get sent back - ugh!

NorthStyle Customer Service and Shipping

This company is a joke to deal with. Their catalog is nice and the items look like good quality. I placed an order and 3 1/2 weeks later I still have not received. The event I ordered the items for is now passed and I had to purchase something elsewhere. I called NorthStyle Customer Service and was very disappointed in their attitude and concern for my order. I would guess that calls like mine are all that they receive day in and day out and have become defensive in tone because of this. I was told that perhaps my items were backordered and that was the cause of the delay. I responded that it would have been nice to receive an email informing me of this and the representative said I must have given them a wrong email address! I certainly received an email confirming my order. Absolutely ridiculous. I cancelled my order and will never deal with this company again.

NorthStyle Merchandise availability/prompt shipping

Today is July 28, 2016. This the second time that I have ordered something from NorthStyle that didn't show up. I ordered a pair of pants on July 4, and got a confirmation email of my order. On July 6, they updated the status of the order to "in the warehouse." On July 12 I sent an inquiry through their customer service site about the status of shipping; there has been no reply. On July 18, I called customer service and was told that they had moved a warehouse, which was backing up shipping; there was no estimate on when the item would be shipped. I asked to speak to a supervisor; I was transferred to someone's voice mail, where I left a message including my phone number, but no one has returned my call. I called again today and spoke to a supervisor, who said that they would monitor the order to determine if there was some way to get it out to me within the next 7 days. They offered to refund the shipping cost when I receive the order.

This company needs to clean up its practices -- keep the web site up to date regarding which items are in stock; update order status with real information; respond to customer inquiries sent through their web site; respond to phone messages; provide their staff and their customers with accurate and genuine reports of status on orders; and find project managers who can move a warehouse without backing up shipping for a MONTH on items they show as being in stock. I believe they should not only refund me the cost of shipping, but should provide some other consideration (a gift card, for example) for the time and effort I have put into trying to get something that I ordered.

Well they haven't changed a thing. I ordered 1-6-2017, received a portion of my order on [protected] with the same excuse that shipping was delayed due to change of warehouse.. No word on when or if Ill receive the rest of my order

NorthStyle Shipping/Handling Charges

On February 19, 2016, I placed my first (and last) order with NorthStyle. I paid $19.99 in shipping charges with a guarantee of 5-7 days for delivery. My order number was J7134751; my order arrived 11 days later. I emailed the company asking for a refund on the S/H charges and they refused. The customer service emails were curt, rude and downright insulting. They even tried to convince me that they had delivered within the time frame they promised AS IF I DID NOT HAVE THE RECEIPT AND COULD NOT COUNT! I purchased over $200 worth of clothing from NorthStyle and will never do business with them again.

NorthStyle Defective clothing

I was really disappointed to receive a coat that not only was not as shown in the photo online and in the catalog, but as I was deciding whether or not to keep it, the first time I was going to wear it, discovered that both pockets were frayed and torn. Probably just sloppy sewing, but still. Very disappointed to find that I had to pay the shipping to send back a defective product. Still waiting on an email or some contact from their customer service department as to whether or not I will get my return shipping refunded.

NorthStyle Vip membership "club"

Watch out for North Style's VIP membership offer. Its a scam. I never experienced any benefit from it and I didn't catch that they were charging my account $14.95 MONTHLY [protected]) until I happened to be online when it came through. Its very difficult to cancel this so-called VIP Club membership. Its necessary to call [protected] to cancel.

I have the same complaint at others; that I was charged a monthly membership fee for VIP - somewhere it stated it was "free" but that was obviously only for 30 days; thereafter you will be charged and probably not realize it as I did. When I saw the recurring amount on my credit card statement, I called the phone number listed by the name of the vendor (PGI Northstyle VIP) that was listed on my credit card statement to cancel immediately, which I was told they would do. The lady did tell me that it was only free for 30 days...glad I only paid for for 2 months before I noticed it and researched it - found this site and was able to address it immediately by calling the # next to the charge on my statement.

Just notice Northstar was charging my account to be a VIP member. I did not authorize it. They didn't offer my money back for the 2 months they charge me.

Echoing others on this board regarding NorthStyle, I just learned that I’ve been charged $14.95 per month for a VIP membership that I did not sign up for. This started as soon as I placed an online order three months ago and luckily I happened to notice the charges today. It is difficult to reach Customer Service and when you finally figure out how to reach them, they offer no explanation. I was met with lots of heavy sighs but the agent refused to answer any questions, but thankfully agreed to refund all charges. Hopefully that happens, but buyers beware. I will never shop NorthStyle again.

They need to be reported for fraud. They also started charging me for that stupid VIP service that I never ordered. When I called, they told me they would reimburse me and now I see it's for only one month. You can be sure I'm going to be raising a stink about it. Stay away from North Style. They are scammers.

I agree with everything said above. Not only did they charge me without my authorization, but after I cancelled the account they mysteriously reopened it - also without my authorization! - and began to charge me $14.95/month. When I called to complain and get the second account cancelled, the customer service representative was incredibly rude. I will NEVER order from Northstyle now!

I called the phone # that was shown next to PGI Northstyle on my credit card statement to cancel it. I also was scammed out of a couple months' worth of VIP membership which I was not interested in. It may be that all you have to do to join VIP for "free" is click on the more info link for it. Somewhere it says it's free for 30 days only...?

If you would like to be removed from the "club" and have all your monthly charges be refunded, call [protected] and request this. My call was answered immediately and there was no question about being refunded the $14.95 monthly fee for the past year.

Pretty much the same thing here. I have been seeing a $14.94 charge on our credit-card account for months and thought that my wife must have purchased something. $14.95 didn't seem like much to talk about, so I didn't question her about it; until today. I looked back and saw we've been paying $14.95 since last February; with an initial purchase of clothing the month before (about $230).

I looked at the Northstyle web-site and saw how easily someone can interpret the 10% off as a free service just by signing up for VIP. There isn't any mention of this VIP service costing anything.

My wife called them and spoke to Customer Service and told them the whole story (12 months of charges). They said they would cancel the membership and reimburse the entire 12 months of charges. WE should see that credited to our charge card within 2-5 days (it's a Friday today). Within seconds the email tone chimed and there was an email confirmation of the cancellation plus the reimbursement agreement.

The Lesson to learn; if it sounds too good to be true - it isn't, plus - READ the fine-lines of the agreement.

NorthStyle Poor customer service and follow through

I ordered three items from Northstyle: pants, sweater, and a top. The top was scheduled to arrive separately, and it did. I was told that the pants and sweater were shipped together, yet when the pants arrived they were the only item in the package. The mailing list noted items had been shipped, although there were hand-written notations (not legible) next to the sweater listing. After some weeks without any delivery of the sweater, or notification by Northstyle of where it might be, I began a back and forth round of inquiries with Customer Service, trying to get an answer. Weeks passed with no conclusion and as of this writing, after 2 months, I have come to the conclusion that I will never receive the item I ordered, nor will I ever receive a satisfactory answer to any of my inquiries, nor will I ever see a credit owed to me on my credit card for this merchandise. I have had other issues with this company in the past, but this has been the worst, most unprofessional experience that I have had. I will never order merchandise from this company again. I have requested that my name be removed from their mailing lists and files. Even that process is running into issues as the CS team cannot seem to read my clearly labeled address included on the generic form and are now sending me emails asking me to provide that address so that I can be removed.

NorthStyle Received a damaged product

I recently ordered a pair of earring from Northstyle and when they arrived they were damaged. The earrings were obviously damaged when they were packaged, a loop was bent and a stone was cracked and the postal packaging was intact. I was refunded the purchase price and return shipping of $4.74, but not my original $8.99 shipping charge. When I called, twice, I was told each time that they NEVER refund the original shipping charge. I tried to explain how ridiculous this policy was because they sent me the damaged goods to begin with, this was NOT what I ordered. I finally had to ask for the supervisor who stated the same policy, but would refund my original shipping this time only. I asked to be removed from their mailing list and will not order again from them.

NorthStyle consumer service

Ordered items. Items were then cancelled but shipping amount was not decreased. There was no communication. Checked on order status. Item was dropped off of order. Amount being charge did not change. Again no communication could be made with Northstyle. Items are very cute but expensive. I am trying to get my money back through my debit card.

Northstyle.com has a virtually non-existent customer service department. I called them repeatedly for help with an item I needed to return and was put on hold for 20 - 30 minutes each time. In frustration, I emailed them 4 times - this was 3 weeks ago. No response! If you like to buy clothing on-line, may I suggest coldwatercreek.com. Their customer service is excellent!

Dealing With Poor Customer Service

All companies are only concerned with their bottom line. All companies have very poor customer service representatives. My advice:
1. First try to settle the matter with the company’s CSR. It will not do any good but you have tried.
2. Be polite but firm.
3. Ask for the name, number and state the CSR you are talking to is from. If you are transferred to a foreign country ask to speak to a CSR in North America.
4. Keep written copies of all your correspondence. Insist that all replies from the company be in writing. Good luck on that one, companies don’t like to leave a paper trail.
5. If you don’t like writing, record the calls, advise the CSR that you are recording the call.
6. If you have an attorney and three-party calling, arrange to have your attorney on the line before you call the company. My attorney advised me that you are not required to inform the CSR or company that another person is monitoring the call .Keep copies of all of the bills you receive. The eventual lawyers, FCC, BBB and state attorney general will want copies of all of your paper work.
7. File a complaint with the FCC about your cell phone carrier, it won't do any good, but it's on record.
8. If it is not a cell phone carrier, file the complaint with the FTC, or whichever of thousands of government agencies that handle your issue.
9. Please realize that all government agencies are overworked and have been paid off by lobbyist.
10. Join any class action lawsuit against the company.
11. File a complaint with your local Better Business Bureau.
12. Contact your state attorney general.
13. During this prolonged economic rough patch all companies are out to make money anyway they can.
14. Join any class action lawsuit against the cell phone carrier. The lawyers will take the bulk of the settlement after years of ligation. When the company finally settles they will pass the cost of the settlement onto their customers, write if off on their taxes or both if they can get away with it.
15. Do this with any company or service you are having problems unresolved problems with that company or service.
16. I realize this is a lot of work, but it’s the only way to get things to change. Don’t expect overnight results, they won’t happen.
I give you this advice at no charge.

NorthStyle Customer (non) Service

You probably won't have to worry about these guys horrible customer service for too long - they'll be out of business. NorthStyle does not seem to want to be part of the 21st century. You can order online, and they'll send you an email confirmation - then they revert to the 20th century. Any follow-up issues like backorders, zip code issues, products sold out, etc. - and you are informed by snail mail. - more than 10 days after you place your order AND the whole order MUST be shipped together (i.e. they hold all items until all are available) or you pay DOUBLE SHIPPING!

NorthStyle bait and switch shipping

Used a free shipping coupon which populated my cart with $0.00 for shipping, where it previously had $10.50 for shipping. I took a screen capture showing the shipping was $0, which was populated automaticaly by their computer systems. However, once I submitted the order, I received my confirmation showing I was charged $10.50! In calling the company, I was put on hold 5 times while person talked to his supervisor. He said that it's a problem with their corporate headquarters with this free shipping and not them at the order call center. That the best they can do is offer me $4.95 shipping. I told him that it's not the amount that's the issue. It's the fact that they are practicing bait and switch and that's illegal. Their site showed my order total, which had $0 for shipping. Then they switched it out and charged me $10.50. When you hit "submit" you are agreeing to pay what is shown on your order, not what they elect to charge you AFTER you place the order. I will be contacting their corporate headquarters AND Better Business Bureau. Do NOT order from this company! Oh, and I cancelled my order.

Have you noticed the smell of items when you take them out of bag? Its a pretty strong "cheap made overseas" smell. You have to wash or hang outside for several days. The dresses were ok but the tops all had that smell. Otherwise I love what I have ordered and receive compliments on them.

This is a rip-off company with rude little girls in customer service. I placed a sizable order over $300 dollars and was charged the max shipping fee of 19.95. Immediately after placing the order, I called to add an item and was told that I would have to pay another 6.95 because it was considered a new order. I felt this was not a customer friendly business and told them to take me off their mailing list. When I received the order, it was packed in a 10x10x10 box. All of the sweaters were squeezed into this tiny box and all of the earrings purchased were in one tiny smashed box. I you have to return anything they require you to use their expensive return shipping label. I contacted my State Attorney Generals office and was told that I can ship back any way I want.

NorthStyle Terrible customer service!

I tried to order from this catalog but when I wanted to complete the order, all the sale prices were raised to regular prices. When I called, the customer service rep told me that when I completed the order they would automatically go down -- really? Just trust them? I asked him to please just take my order over the phone and was told it would take a whole lot of time to do that. Well, gee, whose time is the most important here? I have had trouble before but I do like their clothing. I'm just going to buy from someone else now and suggest others do the same. They need either a new website, a new training program for reps, or a whole new company philosophy. Something is really wrong here.

Oh my God! I wish i knew all about this before i placed an order with these pple. Its been a month since i placed the order. Usually if i buy something online, its shipped with a week. but its been a month. Inquiries via email have not yielded any response, This is the worst company i have ever seen.

NorthStyle Lousy service, poor quality, non-functional website

I tried one order from this company & returned everything due to poor quality & fit. I ttempted to try again, but their website doesn't work lately. I can view items, but can't put things in the cart. I called about this two weeks back, but the service rep was clueless & unhelpful. -- Didn't even offer a phone order option!

I attempted using the site today but they still haven't fixed it so I guess they don't need business! I'm done with them. Now if only I can get them to quit sending me redundant catalogs weekly!

NorthStyle Puts customer last

My 1st order with NS, I chose 2nd day Express shipping.Then my shipping confirmation came. My order was sent as slow as possible and was due in 10 days! I still haven't received my items. I immediately e-mailed their help desk. NO response. I sent a second e-mail a few days later, no response. I finally took my time to call, after being put on hold for 20 min. I was told that my order wasn't sent 2nd day, sorry. I could send it back if I didn't want it. That was it, no offer to please the customer. I made the purchase to take on our trip, that will not happen. I made the comment that this was my first time with NorthStyle and likely my last, her comment: "That's your choice." It takes a little effort at least to retain a disgruntled customer. They are in business to be put out of it. I was also informed that there was only one person handling the e-mail helpdesk, but he would get back to me...maybe next year!

NorthStyle Stay away

I ordered three items from North Style in August. One item came to me a week later. We are now coming onto the fourth week-and the other two items (the most expensive) have not yet arrived. When I spoke to North Style, they stated that it would take 10 days to get from Boston (where they are located) to DC (the area where I lived). When I pointed out that it had been 20 days, they were very dismissive.

North Style did not appear to be very customer friendly nor does it appear that they do any type of tracking, because she couldn't even say whether the items had been actually shipped-and that was 20 days after the order.

NorthStyle Credit card fraud

Watch out for these people. They sent me something i didn't order and told me i bought it on a credit card. The number they gave me isn't even a card i have. ? I don't know if i have been a vicitm of credit card fraud but i am finding out. And when i talked to northstyle they didn't seem concerned at all. They said oh well maybe it was a fraudulant charge and one chick said they get fraudualant charges all the time! Wtf? All in a days work at northstyle or what? I had never even heard of this craphole.

NorthStyle Ridiculous Shipping Methods

Be prepared to wait a ridiculous amount of time for your order if you choose standard shipping. They ship USPS 3rd class buk mail for standard shipping. Who does that these days? My first order with them took almost 2 weeks to arrive. My next (& final) order I wanted quicker as I was ordering a shirt to wear to an event. I chose "rush" delivery which, according to their website I should expect in 3 - 4 days. I paid $17.45 in shipping & handling. It has now been 9 days and I still do not have it. I called Customer Service and was told "oops, so sorry, it went out USPS 3rd class bulk". They said they would refund me the extra $4.95 fee I paid on top of normal shipping charges to make it "Rush". They said I should expect it in the next 3-4 days. More than 2 weeks after placing order I received 1 of 3 items I purchased. Paid $18.95 for shipping, that came in a bag in the mail. The quality of the item was so poor and not worth the money paid that I returned it (paid $9.00) to return with delivery confirmation. I then cancelled the other 2 items which were now listed as "on backorder" ~ strange cause when I placed order everything was "in stock". A couple of days after cancelling backordered items I received letter in mail saying "those item were discontinued". Waited 3 weeks for credit card to be credited back amount of item I returned ($65), and find they charged my cc a $14.95 fee! Not sure for what, still waiting to find out. Northstyle is a SCAM operation, they are more interested in trying to get you to sign up for their "monthly discount program" for a "fee", than they are in getting you the items you purchased.

My husband purchased two $100 gift certificates from NorthStyle as a gift for Christmas. Imagine my surprise when I discovered that I could not make a purchase online using the gift certificates; I had to call an 800 number. I tried calling that number, various times of the day from 12/26 through 1/10. Either the number did not process through or when it did, I would receive a recording that they are experiencing difficulty with the system. I tried emailing customer service only to receive the same "canned" response stating that someone from their company would contact me within 24 hours -- which of course never happened. I finally reached my breaking point and called my credit card company to begin the process of getting my money refunded. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY. Coldwater Creek has much nicer clothes and they are very prompt with handling all of your needs. I am so disappointed in their lack of service. All of my family and friends have been told not to do businees with NorthStyle.

Worst customer service ever. 30 days and I still have not received my order. When I called customer service all the rep could say was "should have used express service". When I asked where my order was, she said it was out of her hands. Never order form this company!

I agree with the poster about the ridiculous shipping but feel that customer had a genie in her bottle. I have given NorthStyle three chances and WISH I could have gotten my orders in two weeks as I wanted an outfit for a particular event. My first order took 4 weeks. My second order has already been WEEKS - although it was shipped 2nd DAY EXPRESS. I have sent several E-mails, but customer service has no way of tracking their packages and get one line back - YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER SOON. I am convinced they have outsourced their customer service to a third world country and do not provide data to them - at least the E-mail ones. All I have ever received from my questions/E-mails is - YOU WILL RECEIVE YOUR ORDER SOON. I think one person works out of a garage or lean-to in a third world country who has a computer only for E-mail to send the dopey message. THIS IS TRULY DESPICABLE AND I WON'T EVEN CALL IT SERVICE - IT IS SHAMEFUL.

I agree with the statement relative to delayed shipping. It took this company four (4) days just to email a shipping confirmation. Although my order only has to travel 41 miles to reach its destination, it is still in the "transit mode, " on the carrier's site. Furthermore, their shipping costs are high and they are remiss in offering incentives for 'free shipping promos.' I have been receiving their print catalogue for quite some time, however, this is my first purchase at Northstyle. Bottom line: If this company doesn't improve customer relations and revise their business model, online customers will assuredly shop elsewhere.

NorthStyle Abysmal customer service

NorthStyle is a national company with a catalog and Web site. They offer clothing for women. Their stuff is really cute, but I've given them chance after chance and I don't believe I have ever ordered anything from them without running into some sort of problem. Their customer service is AWFUL. Most recently, I ordered a pair of pants and shoes from their site. The order was canceled unexpectedly. I called their customer service department and the guy told me that the pants weren't available but the shoes still were. I told him I still wanted them and asked why I hadn't been notified (the company has both my e-mail address and, I believe, my phone number). He said they send those notifications by snail mail, which is patently ridiculous.

Anyway, the shoes order was ALSO canceled. I called customer service again and the 15-year-old who answered the phone says, "Like, all I can figure is that like, those shoes were showing up as available at the time, but like they were really out and like it hadn't shown up yet."

Please save yourself the heartache and trouble and stay far away from this company.

Unfortunately all the above complaints are accurate with my recent experience with NorthStyle. I placed an order on 1-6-2017 for 7 items. Order was confirmed received same day. On [protected] I received email that all 7 items had been shipped. On 1-26-17 received email that all items had been delivered. Yes, I did receive a pkg, with 3 (THREE ) ITEMS only. All other items marked No Longer Available. Extremely Aggravating. When I emailed a complaint, was sent back; RE; Your NorthStyle package has been delivered/But Not Complete. I know That! But will the other 'Not Available Items ever be shipped? No response from them.
I will not be buying from them or any of the other Potpourri Group Inc merchants.

I have had a similar experience as everyone else here! I was seduced by the beautiful clothing in the NorthStyle Catalogs and have ordered, only to be disappointed by the cheap product that no way resembled the picture in the catalog ! I should have known better then to order again but I saw a really cute black stripped tunic via email and when I got a free shipping promo I went ahead and ordered it online ! BIG MISTAKE ! That was over a month ago and never received an email confirmation or anything ! I've called customer service 3 times with a different story each time ! It's on back order, it' shipped last week and you will get it in a week and then today I was told that it was still in the warehouse and they will ship it out ASAP and I'll get in 2 weeks! IM SO ANGRY ! Be warned ! DON'T ORDER ANYTHING FROM THIS CROOKED COMPANY !

I ordered an item using the order form in the catalog. I included a check and mailed on 6/25/16. Since I hadn't received my order and hadn't received any communication from the company by 7/20/16, I called customer service. They said this item is back-ordered but you should receive it by the 3rd or 4th week in August. I asked why i hadn't been notified about the delay or that the item was back-ordered and the representative told me that they only send an email when the item is shipped. I said that I thought it was required that companies notify customers if an ordered item is going to be more than 30 days late. She said she didn't know about that. Then I asked if they had cashed my check and she said they only cash the check when the item is shipped.

I called them today (8/31[16) because I STILL haven't received my order. I was told by Nicole, that the manufacturer missed their shipment and has not given any indication of when the shipment might be sent. She could not tell anything more about when I might receive this order.
I told her that was a ridiculous way to run a business and requested a return of MY money for the item I ordered but may not ever receive. She said I should receive a check in 7-10 days. I said since I have been waiting all this time for my order, they could send me my money faster than that.

After ending the phone call with Nicole at Northstyle customer service, I checked on line to see if the pants were still being advertised as available and, you guessed it, THEY ARE AND THERE IS NO STATEMENT ANYWHERE THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHEN OR IF THIS ITEM WILL EVER BE AVAILABLE.

My experience with NORTHSTYLE is very similar to the posted comments. I ordered an item on the website. I did not know it was on back order until I received an email as there was not a popup saying that the item was on back order. I had paid for Express Shipping. Although customer service had given the impression that the issue would be resolved, there was no follow through. I have yet to receive the item and most likely, will be charged for Express Shipping. Do not be tempted to buy the pretty clothes in the catalog. I will not order from NORTHSTYLE again. As the one of the customers stated in a previous post - throw the catalog in the trash.

I wish I'd read these reviews before I'd ordered from NorthStyle! I was seduced by their pretty catalog and placed an order on March 9, hoping to get in time for Easter. At time of order, all items were marked as "available". The next day I got an email confirmation telling me all but ONE item was on backorder. Two items eventually arrived (after Easter!); the third was targeted for shipping on May 4. Sent an email to customer service on May 9 and got back a cryptic reply that expected ship date "end of May or early June". I just tried to reach them by phone and got an automated menu, finally hearing "availability not known" for this item! The kicker is: this top is featured prominently in all their online ads that pop up on my browser, in their email messages, and the catalogs I keep getting! Somebody needs to tell Marketing that the item is NOT AVAILABLE. I haven't been able to contact a real person yet. I'll keep looking for a name; I'll go to the top if I need to. I will NEVER shop with them again!

I too have had this company take $14.95 out of my account that wasn't authorized. I'm in the middle of a battle to reverse it. They always say their computer are having glitches.

I had the same issue Kathleen. I purchased something in February, and in March started receiving $14.95 charges. I didn't notice it until just yesterday. I called my bank and the number listed next to their information is [protected]. I called that number today and explained I had not joined any VIP program. What happens is when you are on the website, the screen comes up describing their program - however, the only way out of the screen is to click on yes or shut the computer down. You have no option. They told me today I would be reimbursed the $75.00 in charges within 10-12 business days...we will see.

Interesting... I have had $14.95 taken out of my checking account for 3 consecutive months! I did not authorize this. I did NOT sign up for their 'VIP' services. I sent a complaint email and have not received a response...Incredible, terrible customer service. Next step is my attorney.

Don't buy anything from this company made of rayon. The shirts shrink when washed in cold water as instructed. I hung the shirts to air dry and within an hour they were small enough for a young child. It is not possible to reshape them. Unbelievable! They were $50 shirts.

I will never order from Northstyle again! I place an order on July 6 for a sale item. I received a confirmation of the order, but didn't receive a shipping confirmation. I checked online, only to find my order as canceled. No explanation by email or snail mail. I have written several emails to customer service, only to receive a canned message confirming receipt, with the promise to respond in 24 hours. It's now July 20 and I'm still waiting! I sent a final email this morning, telling them what I think of their customer service (NOT!) and letting them know that I would not be ordering from them again. It's a shame. They have some really pretty things, but it's not worth the hassle!
