what a nightmare!
I used turbo tax online to do my taxes myself. What a nightmare. Filing for federal was free, and state taxes is a little over $30. I lived and worked in New York and Mass that year and so it cost over $60 to do it myself. Plus I accidentally clicked "deduction maximizer" which charged me an extra $10. Ok. That was my fault. The other day I needed to talk to TurboTax support for help taking advantage of a online discount through bank of America. At the start of the call they ask for your name and email address. That took 12 minutes. They could not listen to the letters I was saying, and say it back to me. My email address is short, 8 characters. I would say each character, say the "as in xxx" after each one, have them repeat it back to me. It took 12 minutes before I gave up and just said, yes, my name is Trabis Oahe. I travel a lot for work, all over the US and in other countries. I speak three languages. I work daily with six people from different parts of India. Its not that I have some crazy southern accent (I am from the pacific Northwest). Why must they use people on the phones that cannot communicate with the language. Next year I will not buy the product. The next year I may call support first and see if they cleaned up their act. Two years to fix your problem Intiut, or you are off my list forever.

03/21/2026 Completed my tax on Turbo Tax and got a refund. Tried to file my son's taxes on Turbo Free Tax filing and Intuit redirected me to tax filing but with my son's email. Now I am blocked and my Intuit account is in his name, email? No help on line and no way to speak with a representative.
2nd request. On 1//30 I filed my tax report with IRS claiming a $3980 refund
iRS only refunded $1540. You have a program error in determining the amount of taxable social security income.

Turbo tax stated I would receive a refund of $3900. IRS changed Mr refund to $1550. Turbo had me no tax on social security income. IRS said I have to pay tax s on 60% of this income
They advertise to do in person tax before February 28,2026 for $150. When I went there to meet with the tax expert, she say because I have rental properties and the form for the IRS to do for rentals won't be available until March. They wanted to charge me over $800.
I paid for turbo tax $59 and it figured my taxes wrong. I got a lot less of a refund than I was expecting because it did not figure the tax on my SS right
Not only did they charge me over $200 for my return (2025) but when I tried asking them why, I got no response. Looks like next year I will use a different service. Btw my taxes are as easy as they come, one W2 from the same employer and no complicated stuff.
I went on turbo tax to file my taxes. Gave them all the information until the end I saw they were taking almost half of my return. i never hit SUBMIT
I went on taxact and it cost me 24.00 for the exact same thing. i filed with them. When i went back to turbo tax to erase my info it said already submitted which i didnt
Used Turbo Tax 2025 and they charge fees to file electronically and then charge an additional fee taken out of the refund. Their website is very misleading when it comes to getting taxes early. If you choose not to get them early the screen grays out with that choice not to pay that fee. Will not use them again. Don't recommend them to anyone.
TT25 requires MAC OS Sonoma. Most MAC owners/people don't have Sonoma so the product is worthless. Why would you write a program that is not downward compatible. Cancel my subscription.
I have tried to 2 days to file 2025. I get to the end to sign documents and then efile and it logs me off with no error messages. Guess I will move to another company this year after 10 years with TurboTax
