ICFAI University Group review: Fraud and cheating! 125

I got to know that ICFAI is a UGC approved university, their main HQ is in Hyderabad, but in the web site there is no other university option of ICFAI Sikkim, Today i went to one of their office in gujarat and they given me information about ICFAI sikkim, i got this university through google.in that there is UGC certification dated 2009 OCT. Then i go to web site of ugc.ac.in . In the list of UGC it was their but established date was 2004. so what about these five years of gap. also in UGC web site no any visit from any expert committee taken. and in remarks it is listed as "Information, called for inspection purpose, still awaited.". So what should we expect from this ICFAI sikkim university. when i am searching top distance study university it is showing me ICFAI hyderabad but not sikkim. So if any one studied over there pls guide me should i join this sikkim university or not.? also in ICFAI website UGC certification phone number of UGC Center is wrong. so is it real UGC certificate or fake? If anyone know please guide.

ICFAI Tripura is approved by UGC. And I'm working in one of the top Software companies and it has been recognized by them. Moreover I have travelled to US and Canada for work. For applying visa, background check would be done against your educational certificates. My Post graduation has been accepted everywhere.

I completely disagree to the negative comments given by people against ICFAI. I'm an alumnus of IFCAI. I completed by MBA-HR through distance education. I dint find one reason to complain. Do not compare the distance education offered by other Universities with ICFAI. Yes, it is more expensive when compared to other Universities.But they make proper justice to it by providing flexibility in leaning for working professionals. If you want to study through distance education and complete it with less efforts, then ICFAI is not you. You'll have to treat it as regular course and study otherwise you cannot clear exams. This is because of the standard they maintain for the curriculum.

I am also a student of ICFAI for MBA course & totally agree with Dhananjay. ICFAI is thw worst place to do any course, also Hyderabad High Court has banned the ICFAI institute but theyare still active & doing fraud with students. The reply to Dhanjay's post with Disagree are posted by ICFAI staff members only & they are trying to fool. If I am wrong then give me prrof of their identity that they are the students of ICFAI.

I have joined MHA program with ICFAI. I am very unfortunate that there is not a single contact class. Since I am doing the program in correspondence, I was looking for some guidance and mentor. The standard of question paper is very high in terms of languange and twisting, but not a matter of worth. I have completed 3 groups and i find they intentionally changed to grade where we cannot identify the marks. Totally worst on educating the students. Just by keeping the exams tough, it could not become a good institution.

One more thing... is there any way or an organisation where I can forward my compliant for immediate action... ?

I completely agree with you... I am currently enrolled with them. They have so many local branches in every state, but alas the people employed their seems to be completely illiterate... ICFAI is synonymous of Cheating & Fraud... they have not refund the amount back which I credited in their account by mistake neither they are interested to adjust that in exam reg.
On top of that they have a Deaf & dumb team in Hyderabad which never respond to your calls & mail.
This id ssddlp@iutripura.edu.in is good for nothing, this is only used for begging the money from students... Those who are about to enroll here ... please make a note of these things... They are not professionals & so don't spoil your time there...

Do not go for ICFAI. The management is a cheat and would reap off your money mercylessly. They will make sure you never complete the course. Thats my personal view.

Hi, I am Prasad from maharashtra...i would like to tell people who want to join ICFAI MBA...the course is tough no doubt...the people who r complaining are the people who are frustrated...u r talking about symby ...wtf...i have not yet finished my MBA from ICFAI and i am teaching MBA finance people of this so called gr8 symby...ICFAI rocks...

The allegations are totally wrong. Things people need to understand..
1> The course content is very good. And this type of syllabus is necessary to bring out quality MBA's in the market. If people need a very simple syllabus and a university which will pass all its students who dont take effort also, then there are many other universities that you can join. Dont unnecessarily spoil the name of ICFAI just because you cant pass.
2> There is no such thing as negative marking. Please observe the question papers properly next time. If you think you are getting negative marking, why dont you apply for re-evaluation or the answer transcript. But you have a small charge for it and I think it is acceptable since they do additional processing and duplicate works for re-evaluation. And moreover all institutes charge for re-evaluation.
3> I have been consistently able to get 80% without attending any contact classes. So, there is nothing like only if you go to classes you can get good marks.
4> I have been studying and working parallely. If you spend proper time to study, you can surely hit the goal. If you are not able to cope up, then its not ICFAI's mistake.
5> Nobody sells past question papers for money. When i joined ICFAI, I got the entire set of past question papers for 6 years for free. Also you have model papers which you can download from your student services page.

the sysytem itself is confusing.. no notifications are served for the changes made... it seems Hyderabad is only added to its placard during the times of taking admission to attract innnocent people... most of the ICFAI University in the NE region does not have a campus of its own.. either its a rented house or a rented room above a hotel... if such university gives degree who will respect or know the capability of the student... its only t make money out of the people they have said its under the hyderabad banner... there should be a stoppage to this money suckers... what legal actions should be taken and what should the society do against such scruplous scoundrels?

By vising these links, You will be sure that ICFAI and its universities has never been permitted to conduct any distance learning course by UGC (www.ugc.ac.in) and DEC (www.dec.ac.in).

What I am implying after visiting these links that ICFAI is doing fraud with all distance education students but those are studying in recognized campuses of ICFAI universitiy mentioned in UGC list, have no reason to worry.

Also I want to inform all future students of MBA program that 95% of ICFAI MBA pass outs have got some kind of marketing jobs profiles with CTC (cost to company) varying from 1.8 Lacs to 6 Lacs. Everybody knows how much stable a marketing job profile is? So there is no guarantee that you will get a good job by doing ICFAI MBA if you are not looking job in marketing.

Once you enroll into the professional program it requires hard work and grasp of the subject to successfully complete the program. As regards the model question paper, please note that the model question paper is available for free download by students preparing for the specific group subjects. However the past question papers are included in the workbook also. Hence your observation on payment for the model question paper is not really correct.

ICFAI distance learning sucks. ... hardly 5% people passout (seriously).. You will never pass in the first attempt (guaranteed) .. as the syllabus is too damn difficult... moreover they sell previous year question papers for Rs. 100/ PAPER- YES they sell previous year question papers for Rs. 100/PAPER (PDF format)- so the students should not know the pattern. ICFAI wants students to enroll and keep on paying money all the time.

They call it distance learning... i had to quit my job to study their god damn subjects... its full time anyways now...

i would strongly discourage anyone from going in for ICFAI...

The Alwar campus has a competent and dedicated team of faculty members, both full time and visiting faculty. I have done LL.M course from ICFAI, Tripura in 2009, at the time admission they have told me that, they have the provision of betterment exam.but after finishing my course I came to know that betterment facility is not available in their university.several times I have asked them why this facility is not available with them but they simply inform me that they are not conducting any betterment exam. kindly inform me what to do regarding this matter.

this is to inform u that ICFAI University Meghalaya Shillong is also cheating students, this university is not recognised by ugc, Aicte . it also had established free schooling called ACL;s but now they have close down and the directors are absconding. this is a big cheat organisation operating so students have to be alert not to be duped.
