Hair Sisters is a company which was formerly called one thing now dba as Hair Sisters www.hairsisters.com. A coupon was promised and then retracted after the order was taken. I requested normal delivery. The product was to be delivered on the 11th and shows that from the 7th of January - 11th that it is still processing.
They take your credit card, processed the card info then promised a delivery date. You wait past the promised delivery date. Called the toll free number twice and a recording states that they are very busy. The voice on the recording appears to be Hispanic. They say leave your number and they will call you back.

Be cautious of this company.

Update.. I was able to speak to someone at the 'company' today. The person asked for my order number and then I was told that my order was a back order and that it would be another two weeks before delivery. They would not confirm this. I asked to speak to the owner and I was given the first name but not the last name. I'm writing because I am leary of this company and all of the wigs are on 'back order' after you credit info is taken. The website has not been updated since 2008. It is 2010. Hours of business are 8 a.m. - 7 p.m. but they cannot give you any definite inventory information until the next day.

Hair Sisters is located outside of Chicago. It is dba Hair Sisters and was previously under another company name. They have sites on Twitter, Facebook, and Myspace.

I would like to know if anyone ever received their wig or wigs from this company as promised. The lady who answered the phone was polite but appeared not to know anything except how to find your order number. It shows they have been in business since 2003.

The people appear to be Hispanic selling African American wigs, weaves, and hairpieces, jewelry, clothing, and alleged false coupons. I'm concerned over the false advertising of the products, promise of the delivery date, and concerned over the fact that people may be most likely scammed. Buyer Beware. Go to the websites and see for yourself!!!

Other info: I was told that I would receive a credit in 2-3 business days. I cancelled because of the long wait and noone update me with anything except online that the product was processing since the date of the promised delivery. They quickly marked cancelled so I will update if I see the credit.

This company has definite issues!!! I ordered a wig in December and still has not received it. It is the 15th of January and I have been calling Hairsisters at least twice a week when I can. I spoke to a Lysette, Sandy and today a Teresa. These girls have a nice vibe to them, but frankly they have no idea what they have gotten themselves into or how lying can hurt your next opportunity for a job. These poor girls lie to people daily about their orders and when you ask for a concrete answer, they have no idea how to answer. I asked, " Do you have a definite way to tell if the order is on backorder?" This is a valid question and if Hairsisters.com is a legit company, they should be able to tell if the order is on backorder. This is not a hard process to keep track of! I was replied with the expression, " No, we have no way to tell this. If you want you can just get your money back." If I just wanted my money back, I wouldn't have ordered the product in the first place.
This is my first and last order from Hairsisters.com. BEWARE of their sister site as well. Please check their profile at BBB. They have officially been licensed as of March 2008.

There is definitely a problem at Hairsisters.com. I cancelled an order after waiting for almost three weeks for my items to be shipped. Then a few days after I cancelled the order, I received one of the two items that I ordered. However, to make matters worse they placed another individual's invoice in with my order. So, I am now wondering who has my invoice. I have been ordering from them for one year with no problem, but recently it has been really terrible dealing with this company. I do not understand what in the world happened. I just hope that I receive my refund in a timely manner. My advice, there are other sites to order your wigs/hair products from until Hairsisters resolve whatever issues they are dealing with right now.

I had the same issue! This was disappointing to me because I'd ordered from them before with no issue! I ordered 2 wigs from them before Christmas. I was told that one of the wigs was on back order. They said they couldn't ship the one wig by itself so I could either exchange or wait on my second wig to come in. When I called back to exchange they told me there was no need because the second wig had come in that morning. I waited and waited and waited. I finally decided to exchange and even made a payment of $10 for the difference in the wigs prices. I specifically asked the customer service rep if that wig was in stock. She said yes. Finally 6 weeks after I'd placed my order, it was shipped. I was so excited. I got home and opened the package and was pissed off! There was only one wig in the box! The wig that was available the whole time. I called them and the wig that I'd paid to upgrade, asked if it was in stock, was in fact not in stock and in fact on back order as well! I told the rep that I asked them if it was there, she said they technically didn't know until the next day! Why lie then? Then they could have sent my original wig out in the first place. This is false advertising! How are they selling wigs they don't have in their possession? Most reputable companies make consumers aware of the items being on back order before customers make purchases. They immediately took my money but want to wait almost 2 months to send me a wig? It made me so upset that I asked for a refund. This just happened last week, I hope they're more speedy with returning my money! I'm filing a complaint with the BBB! They already have several!

I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau against this company. The response time from the BBB Office was three maybe four days however, Hairsisters.com refunded the money before BBB had a chance to get too involved. If you are having problems with this company, go straight to the BBB on-line because as the previous individual stated, Hairsisters telephone just ring and then go straight to voice mail. Don't get too frustrated. Let the BBB office handle the situation. Even though I received my refund, I will not be ordering from Hairsisters.com again until they improve in the areas of customer service and shipping.

I placed my order on 2-23-2010. It says the order was ship on 2-26. I pray that I will receive my order in a few days. I have seen so many complaints on other web sites. I had no idea they do business this way. The lady's who make comments on the actual hairsisters website don't have any complaints about the shipping. When I get my order this will be my last time ordering from them. I don't like the fact they charge you and make you wait so long for the product. Does anyone know of any other legitimate websites to buy wigs?

To Lady Tee: Another website you can try is blackhairspray.com. I was very pleased with the large selection of wigs as well as the prices. LHboutique.com is also great. I ordered from them last year and their customer service is superior. They returned my call and responded to my emails about items out of stock. They are extremely friendly and helpful.

oh my god!I ordred from them with no problem but seeing your comments made me nervous! I just ordered from them again so this will be my last time i have seen too many complaints im better off going to the bss! Thanks ladies im taking your advice and not ordering from them any longer!

I thought that I would try to use this site also to order my hair. I should have looked at these complaints before I ordered from them. I stay in Korea by the way of my husband and I paid almost 200 dollars for my items and got 2-3 day shipping. It's been almost two weeks now and I have not recieved anything so I am going to report them they need to be a better company. I don't know what their problem is.

Recently bout two weeks ago i put in an order at hairsisters. This is my third time the first two no problem. After reading these complaints I called them bout my order. They informed me they had not recieved my check! It's going on 2 weeks now! I kindly sent those crooks a friendly Email wondering where is my darn money! I'm pissed! So they donot get my service no more and i suggest to others do the same! Instead i checked out blackhairspray.com and golden mart beauty and ladies these people are professional and you do recieve your product in a timely matter! So i suggest we warn others bout this. Something is not right. I too spoke to someone with a spanish accent and she kind of hesitated. If i have to call and harrass them by mail i will until iget to the bottom of things!

I also ordered from this company after hearing they had good prices, shipping, ect. Unfortunately, I ordered a wig on 2/19/10 and still have not received the product. I am very pissed because I was excited about trying a lace front for the first time! I've contacted this company via e-mail twice since I was told the never answer the phone. I haven't received any response and I have threatened to report them to BBS if they don't either tell me what's going on with my order OR send me my money back. I think it's wrong that a company can take your money and not send your product until they feel like it. This is a terrible company and it will definitely be my last time ordering from them. They have lost my business and I will be ordering from BeautyShoppers.com from now on!

with hairsisters you have to be cautious it really all depends on the product you want and if its in stock or not. but they don't tell if it is or not and that's where the problem comes from. i ordered something about 2 weeks ago and its still processing so I called someone answered and said oh that item is not in stock but it should be coming today and I would receive an email stating if it was there needless to say I received no email so I called again and again and again until finally spoke with the same person who informed me that it still wasn't there so I just canceled. I'm supposed to get my refund any day now but so hopefully it all goes smooth but I def will NEVER order from them again. And i better get my money back or going straight to the bbb like other folks. and beware of clairehair too they owned by the same dude. i heard they stated it cuz hairsisters has such bad ratings. ladies do your research before buyin products like these because if i had or read these first there's no way i would have got into this mess

I am from South Africa and wanted to test if ordering from this site would not result in any problems. I placed an order on the 2nd of June and they say it takes 3 days for processing. Today it is the 12th and still my order is still processing. They do not respond to my emails, take any calls and I feel very frustrated being so far away from them. I then placed a comment on their site and few hours later it was removed. I went to the BBB website, but that doesn't show how to complain, but how to compliment these businesses. I am beginning to think that all the positive comments on the Hairsisters website are from their friends or their staff.

I absolutely hate hairsisters. HORRIBLE customer service. No one is EVER there to take calls, goes to voice mail, no one responds to emails either. II am convinced the 'company' is probably a three man show with no real customer service at all.

One very partocularly annoying thing they do is take orders and then talk about how they are back ordered .. and the wait goes on for MONTHS this happened to me not once but TWICE on very expensive product. Something is WRONG with this company they are SCAMMERS

I have been ordering from Blackhairspray for awhile noproblem with them! I get my items on time and if they are out of stock they email you. My advice we all need to shop at the local Bss!
