lack of customer service
I have been a longtime client of this salon and have a regular stylist. However on 8-30-08 she was on maternity leave and I had another stylist who turned out to be ''the manager''. I had my usual touch-up and trim, I have shorter hair than most men and have a touch-up and trim every 3 weeks to keep it short. I have been paying the same price since I started having my hair touched up at this salon but this time I was charged a much higher price. When I questioned this the ''manager'' flipped out making me feel very, very uncomfortable in front of the other customers and stylists ! She even went so far as to pull out a price list and circle items and shove it in my direction telling me that when my stylist comes back from leave she will have a talk with her about prices, etc.I was totally humiliated ! I still can not believe how she acted. I usually have my husbands hair cut there as well but I cut his hair myself so I didn't have to go back. On top of that there is no online way to contact the company about problems, you have to call a toll number and leave a message and they are supposed to call you back.
poor service and professionalism
I will think twice before I go to this Hair Cuttery. This was a terrible experience and the customer service was pathetic. My daughter's style was not finished in a professional manner and the stylist did not make an attempt to fix things. Another stylist had to step in and redo part of the hair style because Natasha refused to fix the cornrows. Which, by the way were crooked and the rubber bands for one cornrow had parts of my daughter's hair from another intertwined with it. One would think for $72 (braids $25 (only the front was braided; long hair charge $10; ppt treatment $7.00; shampoo $14; & shp/design set $16 -this was a blow dry and only the back was curled) my daughter would have received a professional style that was complete. Hair Cuttery you really need to get your act together. I will tell everyone about my experience and post this complaint all over the world wide web!
I went many times to the Hair Cuttery (located in The Rotunda) near my home in Baltimore, MD with no complaints at all. They weren't that great cutting my hair, but I mean, sometimes it happens, for haircut I rather go to another Hair Cuttery branch (the one in Towson Mall) instead of the one at the Rotunda because I know they do a better job. Today I just went for hair color, but from the beginning everything was a mess. They make me wait for 30', they were talking about my hair with attitude like they didn't want to do simple color in my short, straight, dark brown hair...they were talking like if I wasn't there at all! The lady (Brie) who finally decided to do my hair didn't give any suggestion, she just denied to behave like a professional even when her license was hanging on the wall... she should hang on the wall a certificate of the Charm School as well...no manners at all... I felt so disrespectful...it's a shame that these people think that they are doing us a favor when they are offering a service and we are paying for it...
I'm totally disappointed with these people...
stylist sneered at me
The attitude of the staff at the Boar Lane branch in Leeds, England is appalling. The stylist actually sneered at me when she thought I wasn’t looking in the 'consultation' and put a fake smile back on- but too late.
The junior who washed my hair couldn’t have cared a less. I repeatedly asked for my thick hair to be thinned as I am going on holiday to a hot country but this was ignored.
The actual cut seems ok but it is still way too thick and I will have to go elsewhere to have the job done properly.
I will never set foot in this 'salon' again. It is scruffy and the staff couldn’t care a less.
I don’t want to be fussed over but this is ridiculous. I feel totally bad now - surely not the idea. Thanks a lot hair cutters.
I am not surprised they don’t want email complaints- typical- couldn’t care less attitude.
Compared to the other reviews on here mine seems minor but whatever you do don’t go there.

I work at the harrogate salon and to see this complaint makes me really angry that you have had such a bad experience, i would never treat one of my guests that way and feel deeply embarrassed to have my name tied to a company that showed no proffesionalism so to try and redeem this as per my email to you personally i would love to have you come to the harrogate HCuk and have your hair restyled with me as a guestur of good will there will be no charge.
Hope to speak soon

stay away
Hair Cuttery stylist cut my hair uneven, then when I went back to have her fix it she didn’t have time to help me even after I called her in the phone and told her I was coming back., and I tipped her very well. So I give them a second chance to cut my hair a month later and a different stylist doesn’t listen, I told her to keep it longer in the back and I see she is reaching for the shaver to shave my neck, OMG. Yep they ruined my hair. I now look like the Dutch boy...

Look Malinda,
You're lucky they even wanted to cut your hair. The hair stylist who cut your hair the first time probably felt sorry for you and tried to make you look better then it is humanly possible. You probably tipped her a dollar bill, or perhaps you tried to tip with a peso and she was offended. That's why she refused to fix your hair. The second time you went there was a big mistake, too. Did you not realize that the hair stylists talk to each other and when you came into the cuttery, they said look, there is that peso-tipping cheap skate in english, which you didn't understand because you only understand spanish.
Did you not know that business up front, party in the back, aka the MULLET, is so not in style anymore? When you told them you wanted it longer in the back, they pitied you once again and tried to fix your helpless hair. My advice to you is to perm that hair back up, take some english courses so you can converse with these hair stylists and never again leave the barrio.
they ruined my hair on purpose
I got my hair cut at the hair cuttery the other day and it was ruined!
I got my hair washed and trimmed pretty quickly and I paid for it and I even threw in a tip. I then looked in the mirror and saw that it was a bit longer in the back than it should have been.
I asked the "stylist" if she could snip of 1/2" or a full inch in the back. She got pissed. Before I knew it she was chopping off huge clumps. I freaked out and told her to stop. She chopped 4 inches off my hair!
I now look terrible and every time I look in the mirror I want to cry. I know it's just hair but I have this huge reunion coming up and I look ridiculous.

I went to get a perm on Wednesday march 9, 2023 the day before our vacation. My usual tech was off that day so I hesitated going to another girl but I did. Not only is my hair fried, all the color was pulled out. I had to go to another salon for a haircut & ongoing treatments. She ruined my hair! I want a full refund & I have not received one yet.
I got a haircut signature cut for 24$ and added tip with a total of 27$ paid and asked for a receipt. Good thing is did! Soon as I left not even 15 min later I got another charge by a stylist who DID NOT cut my hair and charged me 31$ by giving herself 30% tip! Generous thief! Her name is Molly at the haircuttery in Virginia 22182
11/8/22
I got into the Hair cuttery. I have a 6:30 appointment. 2 stylists are standing at the register. The one stylists was obviously on the phone because she clearly had no clue. 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment. The female stylists say she can't cut my hair. They don't do short barbershop hair
September 5th at 6pm. I was in for a hair cut and bought a 30 dollar curvaceous product. My bill was 80 dollars. The tip was 14 dollars. I booked my appointment and was out in 50 mins so paid for a blow out that was a deluxe which shouldn’t have been. The machine instead of tipping 20percent on service tipped 20 percent on entire bill.
I scheduled a 1:30 haircut appointment on July 10,but although I was 15 minutes early, the employees at Broadview Hair Cuttery ignored me.No one likes being treated like 💩
I always go to Hair Cuttery have been for years never had a bad hair cut before. I had a haircut done on July 24 2022 at the Suncrest Village salon in Orlando. The stylist was Francesca. I asked if she could do a razor cut she said she had a razor and would do it. She trimmed and cut and made a mess of NY hair
Stylist cut off way more than asked! Way overpriced $18 and did a terrible job.
I went in for a simple bang cut and left the store with a mullet style cut. They cut too much on the sides of my head and everyday I have to deal and fuss with my hair to try to look decent. Very upset and frustrated with my situation.
Iworked for the hairuttery all they care about is numbers, i am a very talented hairstylist they changed my schedule every other day i didnt know if i was coming or going. they go thru managers every 6 months, and make you sell sell upsell products. they care nothing about experienced hairdressers and your just a number, and you have to mop clean the whole place plus answer the phone greet customers and cash them out plus stock retail. you do like 10 jobs for one salary. if you have a complaint about schedule changes they diregard you. they over hire and let like 10 people sit around ready to pounce on a customer, its like a assembly line. i would say if your looking for a 10 min haircut by a new hairstylist everytime go there! they care nothing about their employees!
You are so freaking ugly, woman, quit your crying and go back in the kitchen and make me a sandwich! Your hair was ugly before the cut and is REAL ugly after. Go buy a bottle of thunderbird and get back to the barrio.

HAIR CUTTERY RIDGE ROAD GRIFFITH INDIAN horrible experience all good ones missing in action? Anyone know a good place to go for color and haircut?
Customer Service and professionalism seems to be lacking in most of the solon workers hired at this establishment anywhere you go.. That's why it is what it is and you pay what you pay. Everyone knows you take your chances at these places. It is very common for a good technician to suddenly disappear. Company policy states they can be no leads or solicitation as to allow customers to follow them.
I have repeatedly encountered techs who do not understand what or how to do a "Stacked Bob." They claim they have to shave the back of my head. If they ere well trained, they would know how to do this cut properly. If I had good sense, I would refuse to allow them to give me a "Woody Woodpecker" instead by angling the sides and just wacking layers up the back of my head. Now when I get up in the morning, I look in the mirror and look like I slept on a board. I have only walked out of a Hair Cuttery once in this situation, . That was due to a very butch technition, who wanted to shave my head, jerking my poor tired neck around during the shampoo. Then why, do you ask, do I keep going back? Because once in a while, I come across a tech who actually gets me and what I want and does a good job. Then she disappears.
While I understand your complaint, the manager was not necessarily "in the wrong" for charging you more. I am a hair stylist, and I ALWAYS charge people the correct prices from the pricing list. Clients love to argue with me about the prices because so and so changed them less. Hair stylists do this a lot of times to improve tips. They think that if they charge less, they will get more money in tips. This is selfish, though, because when stylists charge the correct price, they get dirty looks and crappy or no tips from clients.

I went to hair cuttery on town center prkwy in jax fl. I got the worst hair cut ever. I went back for a redo by the manager renee and she was worse than the first cut she was unproffessional and looked liked a little kid she is too young and does not speak or communicate like an adult. She kept asking personal questions while cutting my hair. I felt like I was being interrogated I let her finish and left . I was at her mercy because she was cutting my hair other wise I would have slapped her .
I agree with your complaint that customer service has really gone down the tubes. I am not one to have my hair cut at a salon such as hair cuttery but time was not on my side... I needed a cut that day. I also was attended by an "assistant-manager" and to my surprise her attitude was quite shocking. I too felt threatened by her when she stopped cutting my hair, starred me in the eye, and proceeded to tell me that what I was requesting was not mentioned in the beginning. I just stated that she needed to brush up on her listening skills. She chopped my hair. I left with an AWFUL cut and a frizzed perm. I have to wear my hair pulled up all the time or have it shaved. I did contact customer service and received a partial refund. Several times I requested from Mary, the district manager, an explanation for not given a full refund. She did not respond to any of them. Definitely in need of more education pertaining to customer service. This salon strives to be in a high standard category but its customer service will always keep it low.
