Green Motion International customer service at kefalonia airport

Reservation Number - [protected]

We`ve just returned from a very enjoyable weeks holiday in Kefalonia, unfortunately our experience with Green Motion at the airport left a very bitter taste.
The welcome we received was extremely rude and obnoxious, we were marched round the car while the lady pointed out every single blemish on a vehicle that had had practically every panel previously repaired or painted.
During the week the car was absolutely fine, and did everything we needed it to do.
On returning the car the same lady went round the car with a fine tooth comb and informed us that there was a mark on the bottom sill that would cost 225 euro`s + tax to repair, my wife and I went to have a look and rubbed the mark off with our fingers! no apology was offered, just a shrug of shoulders. We have hired cars in Kefalonia a number of times and have never had such bad service.
I feel that I need to bring this to your attention as the two people who are running the office at Kefalonia Airport could seriously damage your business.

Yours Sincerely
Peter Strutt

Green Motion International prepaid sunpass

Hi i bought a prepaid sunpass at green motion Orlando airport after telling the assistant i was travelling around the Disney parks when she asked where i would be driving she said i would need it as toll are now everywhere in Florida but a week into a 3 week stay we have went through 4 tolls at a cost off $4:50 and having paid $195:50 for 3 weeks i rang and ask could i cancel the sunpass as it is aloud through sunpass its self and a refund is given for the remainder. but on ringing green motion at Orlando airport the customers manager Frank was nothing but cheeky and ignorant to myself and told lies saying he was the highest point of contact in the company but he is not the general manager is but he will not and refuses to let me speak to anyone and has hung the phone up twice on me and refuses point blank to cancel the sunpass at my request even know i have spoken to sunpass and this can be done but still Frank will not cooperate on this matter and is so rude about it im thinking of seeking legal advice on the matter ...Is there anyone that can help me resolve this matter

Hi Clark,

I believe that you did not investigate with your cc camera when the vehicle arrived before it was given it to me. Did the valet cleaned the car at all - please check? If they patch cleaned and spray something in the vehicle how am I to find a strong bad smell. Also the vehicle was not brought in front of the building by your valet. Previous customer returned it on the right front of your building facing Main Street and we picked it up from there. As I said earlier this was a very busy day/timing and the valet did not check it thoroughly - check your camera footage. Also, I pointed out about the smell - not green motion finding it. Did you ask the previous party who rented the same vehicle as I requested - most likely not.

As I mentioned in my previous email that NO ONE from my family did anything to cause the smell to the rented vehicle - so on what basis without proper investigation I will be charged.

I would definitely escalate as this is simply a wrong thing Green Motion is doing by charging me something that I did not do. I would request again you to see the camera footage and ask previous person who rented the same vehicle - truth maters.

Thanks,

Joseph

Hello Mr. Gomes,

I sincerely apologize for my delay.

This happened to have been found in my spam box! I am not sure why.

In reference to the stated situation, this was brought to my attention on that very same day. You rented from us a VW Passat.

Unfortunately, there is nothing we can do in reference to this case. ccording to the pictures, it appeared as if it was stained, and the smell, being so strong and fresh, just seemed to confirm that this was recent. Being in the rental industry for some time, we understand the needs of customers. All our cars are detaied prior to rental, and while 99% of the time our cars are flawless, in the event that it is not, a customer would bring it to our attention prior to leaving.

When choosing vehicles to assign to a rental agreement at the time of pick up, valet personell locate a vehicle and bring it up to the building. If a valet found a vehicle with a scent even half that strong of the scent the vehicle had, they would not rent it. In all honesty, a customer would not take that car if it smelled like that at the time of pick-up.

At this time, I would't be able to assist.

You are welcome to escalate this to corporate offices in the UK. You may visit: www.greenmotion.com and complete filling the contact us form.

A representative will reach out to you soon and see if they'll be able to assist.

Best Regards,

Hello Clark,

Just found out last Monday that Green Motion has wrongfully charged us for $350 USD for a cleaning/smell fee which we did not even cause it to begin with and I’m disputing the charges. I rented a vehicle from Green Motion on May 5th and returned the car on the 13th of May. We discovered a strong smell on Tuesday (May 9th) evening.

I had a conference at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort for two days and I stayed at a Disney resort for three nights therefore I didn’t have to use the car from Sunday evening to Tuesday evening. We are from Canada and the heat in Orlando was so pleasant that Friday and Saturday evening we drove almost all time windows down. I just wanted to give you a breakdown of our trip and usage of the vehicle below:

Friday May 5th - we took the car from Green Motion and went to Courtyard Hotel on International Drive.

Saturday May 6th we went to Disney’s Hollywood Studios stayed the night at a Courtyard Hotel on Lake Buena Vista Drive.

Sunday May 7th – we drove to Kennedy Space Center and went to stay at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort for the next three nights.

Monday May 8th - I had the conference all day and all of us went to Magic Kingdom in the evening – no car required.

Tuesday May 9th - I had the conference all day and only my family went to Magic Kingdom in the morning – no car required. We wanted to go out for the evening and only then we figured out a bad smell in the car. As the vehicle was sitting in the parking lot unused for almost two days in heat the smell magnified a few folds. At this moment it would be good idea to call you guys and report about the smell but I did call and report the smell. I thought that I would lose time changing the vehicle and we only need to travel a few miles from the hotel to Disney’s parks for the next three days – since we would be in the car for only about less than ten minutes and driving windows rolled down - I did not bother to call.

Wednesday May 10th to Friday May 12th we stayed at Fairfield Inn at Flamingo Crossing and we went to On the 10th we to Disney’s Epcot still leaving the car at Disney’s Grand Floridian resort.

Thursday May 11th we went to Disney’s Animal Kingdom and this was also a hot day and after coming to car I opened all doors and windows to cool down a bit and get the smell out.

Friday May 12th We visited Disney’s Magic Kingdom again.

Saturday May 13th I returned the car. I’ve mentioned that there was a bad smell coming from the front passenger side and that none of my family members vomit or spilled anything smelly to cause such smell in the car but your customer service supervisor Frank accused me that I’ve done that. It’s very rude to accuse someone without really listening to them and jumping into a conclusion.

I asked your supervisor to investigate but he charged me a fee (without my knowledge) on the day I returned the vehicle. I’ve indicated to the receiving/return car agent at Green Motion that the smell was mostly coming from the front passenger side. My wife was sitting there for the whole time and no one from my family ever vomit in the car or had anything to do with the smell. What made Frank so certain without a proper investigation that we’ve caused the smell? I’ve returned the car in the same status it was received. He didn’t even use ‘may be’ for this situation, he basically said that we did this and I’m lying about this issue. I called last Monday (May 29th) and spoke with Frank for the charges and again he was very rude and did not supply me your full name or your email address – he certainly needs proper training on how to handle customers.

As you can see I used the car for a very short period of time in a given day even though I rented the vehicle for eight days. Please check the odometer reading for mileage driven.

Also, please check at what time the vehicle was returned and what time was the vehicle delivered to my possession. My wife saw that there was an Indian family who had little children returned the same vehicle we rented. Most likely the smell was caused by them or someone before them (little kids might have threw up or they had spilled baby related items on the floor of the car). I believe that the vehicle didn’t move after their return for cleaning – it was sitting at the same spot. As it was a busy day, the guys at Green Motion did not have time to thoroughly checking anything at all – everyone makes mistake. Just by visually looking at the car I couldn’t make a decision on smell right away – we could not smell anything funny at that moment. I request that you check the surveillance video for the 5th of May around 7-8pm. I request that you ask the people who rented the same vehicle before me and after reassuring and mentioning that you will not charge them anything for the smell and find the truth. If I didn’t mention anything about the smell Green Motion would be clueless about the smell and might have charged the next person. Ethics is everything – do your due diligence before jumping to conclusion.

It’s very important that the truth comes out. I’m telling you only the truth. Green Motion has no right to wrongfully accuse us for something that we did not do and let alone the charges.

Thanks,

Joseph Gomes

Green Motion International car rental scam company

I rented a car on holiday autos.com who lists Green Motion Poland´s fleet. I picked up the car and used it during my stay 3 days in Poland. I returned it, check for damage and all is fine, took no photos, i should have...
They sent me a report few weeks later that there was a damage to the car and they will notify me with an invoice about the damage. this car was used a lot many marks from the start, also stated in the damage report i signed before hiring, and also not what i ordered, but similar model they say, Now they sent photo stating there is small scarp marks, but picture not showing any scrap marks, and they already charged my credit card for 5630 :- SEK without letting me know.

If you rent a car and always need to take picture as proof of the condition
that is not easy, here we have a car used a lot and condition report also stated many scrap marks from the start, even on same spot, but I cannot use report for this claim, that is [censor] all over...

This is a scam company for sure. Stay away!

Green Motion International green motion fraud and scam car rental

I rented a car from green Motion in Warsaw, Chopin Airport. This service has charged me for 652 euros without informing me through unauthorized access to my bank account. I just found from my webbank that money was gone. They kept on sending me pictures of scratches that were definitely not mine and then Green Motion just stole my money. I am making a cardholder dispute with Nordea though don't know if it helps.

Green Motion International car rental

I rented a car on Rentalcars.com who lists Green Motion Poland´s fleet. I picked up the car and used it during my stay in Warsaw. I returned it, without checking for damages.
They sent me a report about a month after that there was a damage to the car and they will notify me with an invoice about the damage.
3 weeks after, they charged my credit card without letting me know and I have yet to receive an invoice, several months after the rental.
They do not respond to email (I have sent to all of their emails listed on websites including their UK branch), and they hang up when I call them.

Rentalcars.com told me that they are in contact with the company who is stalling in their response to Rentalcars.com.

This is a scam company for sure. Stay away!

Looking for legal support against Green Motion!

Long story short: Car rented for a several days at Green Motion Krakow airport office. Gravel car park - fine. Clearly marked car park spots reserved for Green Motion - forget it! Was informed that additional charge can be made to my credit card if car is returned too dirty. I made sure that night before drop off whole vehicle is washed and clean. 30km (approx 15-18miles) from my place of stay to the Green Motion Krakow airport office could make car dirty. Anyway, car was dropped off at 6.15am on May 2nd without any damage. At 10.35pm I received seems like template email telling I scratched front door (not telling whether left or right, no photos attached) and that I am charged with 299, 23EUR + 70EUR administration fee. Automatically I denied to any accusation of damaging vehicle and as you can see at the pictures it's impossible to do it unknowingly. GM claims, quote: "Our team will be in touch with you within 14 days from this email to confirm if any charges will be made. If you do not hear from us by this point, please contact us at ics@cs.greenmotion.com." Despite ongoing discussion with Green Motion ISC, Green Motion Krakow 'customer service' team informed me on May 6th that 341.85 GBP has been taken from my account. I have already informed Polish TV and Polish governmental institutions about this scam! However I'm looking to issue a legal action against them. If there is anyone from you interested please let me know!

Green Motion International car rental services

Corrupt practises can be systematically and strategically set in place, even using legitimate paper work to con unsuspecting customers. A rouge car rental company can easily take advantage of the lack of expertise of lay customers, It can be a strategy to not inform customers of existing miniscule scratches, dents, or bumps (yes - bumps were indicated on their forms. I don't know what it even means). Unsuspecting customers with an untrained eye would not be able to see it. There is this distinction between a trained eye that the professional car renter has and an untrained eye of a customer. It is in this lack of expertise that a rouge company can strategically and systematically exploit.

The other thing rouge car rentals can exploit is the general trust tourists place in car rental companies, because of the trust built up from other reputable companies in UK and in home countries of customers.

I am a Singaporean tourist and I am reporting to you how I have been scammed and taken advantage of as a tourist by the car company Greenmotion. I had booked a car with Greenmotion Heathrow Airport from 13-Apr 3pm to 16-Apr 10am.

1. Collection
Upon car collection, staff Costa pointed out a little dent on the side and a scratch. Costa told me a scratch 1.5mm deep is considered a damage. I was immediately thankful that he had done so. What I didn't know is that he did not indicate that scratch in the form he asked me to sign. I had trusted him and signed in good faith.

2. Return
On returning the car, another staff Aniesh (not sure about his name) scrutinised that car under direct sun ray, saw that scratch and accused me of causing it. I denied it. I reasoned by relating about the "1.5mm-deep scratch" conversation I had with Costa. When we asked Costa, Costa denied and claimed that I had scrutinised the car for "30 minutes" that it was fine without scratch before driving away. This is untrue. I did not scrutinise the car. Absolutely not for 30min. My whatsapp conversations revealed I was rushing for my family at the airport and gave them a ten minute waiting gap upon car collection.

3. Under duress
I had no choice but to pay for the charge under duress as I had a plane to catch and time was running out. I am such an easy target.

4. Unjustifiable terms
For that frivolous faint scratch, I am charged me 324 pounds! Is this amount justifiable?

5. Why would Costa not indicate the scratch on my form and why would he lie?
Philosophically, there's no reasonable explanation except that fraud or ill-will is intended

6. Business Model built on Fraud?
Think about this - 324 pounds for a miniscule scratch which I couldn't even notice it at first. What kind of a policy is this for a car company wishing to build itself on good long term reputation? Back in Singapore, a BRAND NEW FULL CAR BODY PAINT job hardly requires one-sixth of that amount!

Believe me, they are charging me 700 euros for that!(see pic) To avoid this company no matter what.
Such a shame, since the car was in excellent conditions and ppl at the car pick-up were super nice and organized. However, when dropping off, they say everything is ok, and later email you with a new bill :( the picture they send you to "prove" the damage is ridiculous...
photos cant even show me the damage. avoid it avoid it avoid it! @ krakow airport, poland.

Green Motion International payment not received

Dear,

On friday 13 th of january, I rent a car with your company in Trapani.
When I had to pay my deposit of 200 euro, I couldn't pay with my credit card, so greenmotion informed me to pay with bancontact (with a higher insurance rate). When I returned the car, greenmotion told me that the 200 euro would be transferred the day after and they took a copy of my banc card. Until know I didn't receive anything back.
I called them 3 times (once I had the 'boss' who didn't speak any English, the two other times I had his associate who would ask his boss...) and sent them an email but no reaction...

Thank you for investigating this,

Green Motion International car damage

My name is Michael Lamidis, from Cyprus.

I booked a car through you to green motion company. Suppose to pick it up from Heathrow airport, but when we arrived at Heathrow, I discovered that I have to take a bus to holiday inn hotel to pick up the car from greenmotion.
Anyway, I took the car at night so I couldn't check all the details and because I have the trust that e dreams and rentalcars are huge good companies I didn't think to check all small and big details of this car. Anyway, after 6 days, my flight was leaving at 8:10 pm from Heathrow terminal 2. I left harrow road at 5 pm and I was stucked in the traffic for more than one hour, I arrived to the greenmotion at ten to 7 pm. I gave the car to the guy, and he was checking it, suddenly he told me that I had a crack in the front window. For me, I even didn't think or see this crack, but he could see. Anyway, he charged me 648 sterling for it and I paid in cash. Because I was very late for my flight I couldn't collect the receipt from him.
First I need this company to send me by mail my receipt.
Second, I can tell you it is very un-fair to pay this big amount and more important, I can't be responsible for it. This is not an accident, this is a small stone that hit the car and I am sure that it was before. I believe that this people they trick me. but didn't have the time to argue because of my flight, as I am asking from you if you can help me to refund from greenmotion, if it is possible because I am sure that they bluff me. Also how this group don’t accept to collect from my visa and accept to collect cash. It is something very strange. I told the taxi driver who took me from holiday inn to Heathrow airport terminal 2, he was very very shocked, he said that the front window is not your problem and he said even though the whole window don’t cost such an amount, he said you could buy a car in this amount. So please do your best to help me in this problem..

best regards
michael lamidis

Green Motion International car rental practices at luton airport

Hi All,
be very very wary of renting from Green Motion at Luton Airport.Over the Christmas period in 2016, I rented from them for 8 days, fully read through their web site terms and conditions and still got caught by them.

Their terms and conditions state that a proof of address in the form of a hard copy utility bill or bank statement must be presented. I forgot to bring such a copy but offered to print it off the internet right there. This was refused. Their terms & Conditions also state that if such a proof of address is not supplied, the rental could be refused.

This was not given to me as an option. Instead I was told I would have to buy extra insurance. Why does forgetting to bring a proof of address document mean that extra insurance is needed? Nowhere on their website does it state that failure to provide a proof of address document such as a bank statement or utility bill will mean that the customer must purchase additional insurance?

In this instance i was told I had to buy a Risk Reduction Premium (RRP) insurance at a cost of over £250 for my rental period. After much discussion, the sales person stated that I can instead buy the Risk Reduction Plus (RR+) insurance package and charged me £144 for my rental period. I asked this quesiton to the desk person: where does it say that if proof of address is forgotten, the only way to rent the vehicle is to buy extra insurance? What it does say in your Ts & Cs is that vehicle rental could be refused - which is fine, why was i not told that?

A second question i asked was: How is it that the representative was randomly selecting different insurance packages? Obviously selling extra insurance is a hugely profitable business so he was just randomly deciding which option to offer me. How does buying extra insurance negate the need to have a valid proof of address? Suddenly, if the customer buys extra insurance, the proof of address is not needed?

I never received a satisfactory answer to these questions. Second point: After signing all paperwork inside the Luton office, i was walked to the car and exactly just as I was about to drive off, I was given one more single sheet of paper to sign. This was titled: "Rental Agreement T&Cs Acceptance Form". Right at the bottom of this form, it stated that if the renter incurred any penalty charges, they would be charged a service fee of £84 for each traffic offence - of course in addition to the traffic penalty charge.

Now, I understand that if I commit a traffic offence and get a fine, I have to pay for that - no argument. But on top of that, for their administration time, you are charged £84? And why was that form given to me right as I was about to drive off, why not in the office where i could still have had the option to cancel this whole agreement and walk away because i did not like the Ts&Cs? I was about to drive off, fully committed, and then an agent thrusts the form at me to sign A final insult is that I was given a car that was not deemed roadworthy.

I was driving at 30 MPH on my way back to return the car and one of the rear tyres burst. How can that happen at that speed, on a smooth road surface? The tyre was clearly defective and abused and weak to suffer a failure like that. Then at the office i was charged £120 for a new tyre and a "Damage service fee" of £30.

Adding insult to injury, customer service and the attitude of staff was absolutely atrocious verging on threatening behaviour. Never rent from Green Motion.

The price they advertise and you pay up front will NEVER be the price you end up paying.Go to a reputable company and pay more if you have to - you will have peace of mind.

Green Motion International admin fee for fine

Never ever use green motion.
They basically tried to charge my credit card £84 for crossing the dartford tunnel both way. This is however only the admin charge. The original fine charge gets transfered in my name and gets sent to me for payment. (Which i did through tfl dartfard crossing)
This is by far the most unscrupulous, fraudalent company i have every dealt with. I got an email from green motion, basically threatening me that if i didn't pay the rediculous amount of £168 for the admin fees of two fines, he's issuing a court order ccj against me. To my amazement, i received a court order in the post two days later.
This is the worst of the worse bullying tactic i've ever come across and would not recommend using green motion.
I've done my research on this company and they have thousands of complaints against them. Please do not use green motion!

Green Motion International unexpected charges

Me and the additional driver Miss Pardi had our worst experience with Green Motion car hire company ever!
They misled us about the price of a damage they think happened during our rental. When we returned the car one of the member of the staff found a small chip on the windscreen on the passengers side. Unfortunately we never had experience with any con company before and we agreed to pay £643 to replace the windscreen because of a 1-2mm chip. We were told this is a normal procedure and we will be able to get our money back from the insurance company. We booked our insurance through Rentalcars.com. As we thought we will get our money back we paid the £643 but after contacted the insurance company we realized windscreen damage is not covered.
We were not just fooled that we can claim our money back from the insurance company but also misled about the price of the repair. After contacting Hyundai we realized a small chip is only repaired instead of replacing the whole windscreen. The windscreen chip repair is no more than £50.
We rented the car between 25 March and 29 March 2016. Still no answer form Green Motion Edgware branch nor [protected]@greenmotion.co.uk about the proof of the repair. Our emails and tracked letters are ignored.
Wouldn't be surprised if this damage had never got repaired. Anybody who reads this comment and hired the same car (Hyundai i40 Registration number starting with DV65) after 29 March 2016 please contact eszter.[protected]@gmail.com or david.[protected]@gmail.com. We are already taking legal actions against this con company.

Green Motion International extremely bad car hire company

Rip off cowboy Company.
We had booked with this Company through a third party car rental firm.
When arrived we could see that they were very upset about the fact that we had pre-paid for everything (even the full Insurance) and found an excuse that they could not rent us a car without us paying for a new full Insurance through them. I refused and was basically shown the door.
Be warned don't touch this company they are cowboys

I have been ripped off today with this company. I paid 40 pounds to lessen my excess. When I returned the car I was brought outside and shown a scratch (not seen by me or caused by me) after I returned the car. I was charged £150 the excess. I was told it would cost 880 to fix so I asked them to send me the invoice as proof of this. I also asked for the police to be called. They refused both requests and admitted they probably wouldn't get the car fixed although they have claimed the insurance. Con artists. Any advice to get my money back?

Green Motion International misleading office location and refusal to rent car. stay away from them.

Greenmotion refused to rent me a car after taking my money. I had never heard of a DVLA check code before as I dont live in UK. I asked for a refund and have heard nothing from them. Their office is up to 45 minutes away from stansted (30 minutes wait for the hilton bus, and 15 minutes journey to the office)
Judging by the horror stories here, I was one of the lucky ones. Here is an exerpt from the mail and the sequence of events:

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am requesting a full refund for the following carhire trip that i booked directly on the greenmotion website as i was refused car hire.In addition I wish to be reimbursed for the cost of the return bus to the airport (6 pounds)

WOS-XXX
Location: London Stansted Airport (United Kingdom)
Pickup date: Saturday, 2nd April 2016 xxx
Dropoff date: Saturday, 2nd April 2016 xxx

Timetable of events.

flight delayed by 1 hour. Was scheduled to pick up car at 8am, but was going to be late.

8.30 am Had difficulty finding the hilton bus. Please rephrase your location details on the booking confirmation. It is very poor english to say: "From Bay 20 in the bus terminal please do not take shuttle to Car Rental Village".
What does that mean? Can you see how this might be mis-interpreted? Please see attachment.

I suggest it should perhaps read: "The greenmotion office is in the Hilton hotel. The bus to greenmotion office leaves from Bay 20 in the bus terminal (Bay 20 is marked 'Hilton Hotel') . Note: ! Please do not take shuttle to Car Rental Village as the Hilton hotel is not located there."
9am approx. - Now waiting for Hilton bus. The greenmotion claim that the office is only 7 minutes away is disingenuous. The wait is up to 30 minutes, and the coach ride was closer to 15 minutes than 7 minutes for my trip.
9.45am - at the greenmotion office, refused car hire on the basis that even though i had my uk counterpart license, this had been abolished and i now needed my uk social insurance number. I havent worked in england for 15 years. and
I have not been in the uk since April 2015. I did not know and did not have access to my uk social insurance number as i live and work outside of the UK.

I accept that this was buried in section 14 of your terms and conditions. In 20+ years of renting hire cars across a multitude of countries, this is the first time I was ever refused car hire. I dont accept that this was properly advertised on your webpage or booking confirmation page. Why cant you have a line under instructions that says. Warning: If you have UK licence, you must have DVLA checkcode. No DVLA checkcode means no car hire!

In particular i draw your attention to the confirmation email i received from greenmotion, and specifically the section regarding uk license. Quoting from the email that i received from greenmotion:

Dear XXX,
Thank you for booking your car hire with Green Motion.
We are pleased to advise that your car hire voucher is now ready to print by clicking through the ‘review my booking’ button below.
View my booking
We would ask you to carefully check and make sure all of your travel details are correct.
Please remember to have the following items with you when collecting your car:
For UK License Holders
Your voucher
A valid credit card in the main driver's name
Your driving license (Both parts if applicable)
National Insurance Number
Utility Bill
Passport
All other License holders
A copy of your car rental voucher
A valid credit card in the main driver's name
Your driving license (both parts if applicable)
Passport

Note that it says that the UK license holders must have both parts of the license (which i did), and there is no mention of DVLA checkcode in this confirmation email. It asks for a utility bill. It asks for a National insurance number. I never required these in 20+ years.
I accept there was a change in the law within the last year

10am - charged for return visit to air port . Please see attachment busovercharge.jpg as receipt proof of overcharge. I showed the driver my greenmotion slip. I pointed out my name on his 'incoming' sheet. He looked for my name on his 'outgoing' sheet but could not find it.He charged both myself and my partner 6 pounds for this journey.
10:15am back at the airport looking for alternative modes of transport to a meeting and trying to arrange alternative meeting times.

I expect a full refund for both cost of rental and return trip to airport: ...blah blah blah

I am annoyed with myself for not having researched greenmotion first. One google search would have told me to give them a wide berth. You need to do the same.

I will remove this only if i get a refund

Green Motion International unethical behaviour & bad customer service

On collection the cars exterior was very dirty, the rear window washer did not work. I totaled around 170 miles on hire. Returning the car was told the mileage was 1500 less than on collection and that under the dirt was a small scratch on the rear bumper. I informed them I had not used the rear hatch door and that the vehicle had been parked on a private drive and had only been used to and from airport .I stated that as the scratch was underneath the dirt, was obviously there on collection Staff were not interested - told me my I would have my £400 excess taken.I could go directly to their office and get it sorted, I said I would be contesting their findings. I wrote to green Motion Head Office, no support at all, basically told me I was a liar, no scratch marked on collection, and I would have to pay. I emailed them and again expressed my concern that I felt this was a set up and as it was dusk on collection would not be at all visible. I had private excess cover, so this did not concern me. What did concern me was that the car was supplied in a bad state, the staff had rushed to get it ready, I had to wait, and they had entered the mileage incorrectly, I was minus 1500 miles upon return, clearly they had not checked the vehicle properly. Then the attitude of the Stansted branch and Green Motion Head Office was appalling, they dismissed all, told me I as I had refused to get it sorted on site at the time returning the car, I would be charged £400 for a 1inch; scratch. This statement more or less said we are punishing you financially as you dared to object to what we are saying ! Great Customer Service ! How can £400 be justified for such a small scratch? It only needs a few cars to be told a scratch has appeared during rental and several extra thousands of pounds can be made each day! My insurance has replaced my £400, but as I have been using car hire companies all over Europe and many times at Stansted - Green Motion has proved to be the worst by far e. I was made to feel I was in the wrong by complaining and felt bullied by their staff . Reading Feedback on this company at Stansted, there are several similar incidents reported.

Green Motion International heathrow branch - big scam waiting for u

I am a frequent car renter/traveler and this is my worst car rental experience.

First of all, when I picked up my car at night time and the parking lot with no lights!

I returned my hire car to Green Motion – Heathrow and staff “Rohit.K” claimed he found a tiny less than 1mms scratch on both door

Rohit.k start off very rude and not treating me and my wife as customer and asked for GBP601.20

When we are still in bargaining about the damage, the manager “Shaf.H” asked one of their staff to drive out the van out of our sight (IMG2469) which I failed to stopped them. Both staff are aggressive, rude and arrogant

At last, both supervisor and manager threated us about our deposit and credit card information with them and we needed to pay the charges anyways.

We clearly stated in the form that we “disagreed” the charges (attached#[protected])

any department we can report and stop them?

Green Motion International car rental deception

Date of Incident: 12/Feb/2016
Booking Number: RES0006197

I pick up the car at 7:00 am in the morning of 12th. They told me the car is brand new and never rented others before. And let me check the car. I check the main parts of the car includes alloys, door mirrors...

When I returned the car at 20:45, they told me there is a scuff on the rear bumper, it is a 3cm scratch. I checked that it is very superficial. And they told me that was made by me. I need to pay 352pounds for the scratch.

In fact, I use the car very carefully, I am sure that scratch was not made by me. But my fault is I did not notice that scratch in the morning. However, if times go back, I could not found that scratch either. Image that, how I can check the car like looking for the hair in the black sweater. Interesting thing is their staff could pointed out the scratch easily and directly within one minute, it seems that they knew the scratch was waiting there.

I am a Chinese, they know my english is not good enough to justify my innocent, and they give me the only solution is to pay 352 pounds to repair the scratch. Finally, they take the money from my deposit of my credit card frozen money without my permission.

Firstly, in my opinion, I fall into their trap. They insisted on sell me an extra insurance in the morning of the day I picking up the car, but I rejected. That is one of the reasons to charge me money for the fault not made by me.

Secondly, the very slight scratch is worthing 352 pounds to fix. I did not have any chance to talk about the solution. The only choice they left to me is to charge me, and the amount is 352 pounds.

As a foreigner living in London, I hope to get the fair treatment. What they did is just like a robber.

My email is [protected]@hotmail.com. Any other information requires, please email me.

Sorry to hear about your bad experience with this fraudulent company and I still don't know why the British Government allows them to continue the business.

Their business model is simple, milk the customer's money... Full Stop

The low rental cost is the bait to fish your towards the scam. I spend 1 hour in their office when returning my car and EVERYONE was forced to pay in the same way they forced you. My advise for all people renting cars... STAY AWAY from Green Motion

Green Motion International charging for fake damages

Booking Reference Number [protected]

I booked the car with Argus and despite telling them I lived in Leyton, East London, they booked me a car on the other side of London in Green Motion Car Hire in The Hilton Hotel in Edgware Road, which it took me an hour and a half to get to on a Friday night from work.

When I got there at 4:45 pm on 22 June 2016 and notified Green Motion that I was there to pick up the car, the representative who was supposed to deal with me spent more time chatting to his colleague about playstation 4 than dealing with me, though both associates told me I was fortunate to receive an upgrade to a brand new car from the compact that I had booked. This seems unlikely since the mileage counter already read at least 179 miles, but the company employee said that was ‘delivery mileage’ and I was the car’s first driver.

When I went down with the Green Motion representative to the car in the basement of the hotel car park, the car was full of mud and water marks. I mentioned this to the representative who said, ‘yeah, but there’s no actual damage.’ Being a layman and unfamiliar with what to look for, I acknowledged that it was running perfectly. Perhaps I foolishly trusted that a representative when he said there was no damage, so I signed the rental agreement and drove back home. My wife said when she saw the car that the exterior was filthy. I took my son in a short trip to Hackney to his friend’s house and then drove back. We used the car the next day for a couple short trips to Hackney and back, during which it incurred no damage.

When I returned the car at 4:45 pm 23 June 2016, the representative at the time, Mullah, told me that that the wheel alloys had some damage. He said that it could be caused by unseen branches hidden underneath mud. He also told me that about 70% of customers damage the wheel alloys. He then told me that he would be charging me £348 for the damage. After explaining to me that it could have been caused by unseen branches underneath mud, it is entirely consistent with those causes that the barely visible alloy damage was caused during the alleged ‘delivery’ that the first representative claimed had put mileage on the car. Had I known to look for tiny marks in the wheel alloy, I’m sure I would have found them before I had driven the vehicle away.

Fearing that I would lose my £995 deposit, I paid the £348 charge and told him that I disputed the fact that I had caused the damage. Since Mullah said that I was the first driver of the car, but his colleague told me that the mileage had been accrued during ‘delivery’ it is not possible that I was the first driver and therefore both Green Motion associates have formed a pattern of making inconsistent and inaccurate complaints.

Since it is entirely possible that the wheel alloy marks were caused in the course of delivery to the car hire location and not my fault, I am seeking a full refund plus the cost of the car hire.

Green Motion International car hire

I picked up the car on a dark wet evening. We were given a condition report form showing only 1 fault to the bodywork. I then checked the bodywork with a flashlight before leaving the parking area. I found 7 faults on the bodywork and wheel trim. I went back into the office to ask why these other faults were not shown on the condition report form, I was told that they had all the damages listed on the computer. I asked that they show all the faults on my copy of the form to ensure that on my return I would not be charged for existing damages. How many people drive away without checking the existing damages only to have a claim made on their excess insurance upon there return? I also pointed out that the car was dirty internally and externally although it was part of my contract to return the car in a clean condition. We travelled round the corner to the IBIS HOTEL where we stayed overnight. In the morning we had to clean the inside of the windscreen as it was very greasy and made visibility dangerous. The registration number of the vehicle I hired is : LK15 ZZY
