On 11/26/2018 I purchased a prepaid Green Dot VISA card at a Safeway grocery store. After registering the card I tried using the card online, it was card is declined. When trying to call customer service. All I get get is a recording and then I get hung up on.
The next day I tried to use it at the place I purchased the card. After the $8.00 monthly fee was removed from my balance, I had a balance of $62. I tried buy some $2 eggs and get $59 cash back. Again the card was declined. When I got home I tried calling customer service, again I could not get pas the recording and I got hung up on.
Then I checked with the Better business bureau and found 650 complaints against Green Dot, mostly relating to fraud and thrift. Then I really started to worry. So I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. At this point I don't know what else to do.
