EDP Card Unauthorized withdrawal from my checking account

I was looking for pay day loan at which time I entered my information including my checking account information. A pop up window appeared asking me if I wanted a prepaid debt card, it to also had my checking account information. I did not want the card and I closed out of the window and also changed my mind about the payday loan so I closed all applications, this was done on 04/21/07. On 04/24/07 I got notice from my bank that I was overdrawn in my checking account. I checked it seen that $159.95 was taken by edp card. I did not authorize any such transaction and explained that to them. Now I can't get my money back and I don't understand the problem. It is so simple, "KEEP THE CARD AND GIVE ME MY BACK." THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK.

On June 5, 2007 EDP Card withdrew $49.95 from my bank account using my debit card number. I did not join or ask for this card. They got the $49.95 and told me they would not return the money. Now on June 13, 2007 they wanted another $50.03. I was able to stop this payment before it was withdrawn from my account.

I don't know how they got my information to get the withdrawals. I had to cancel my debit card number and have it replaced.

How can I stop this? I do not have money to just throw away.

I checked my bank account today and was negative. It seems an electronic check was posted to my account yesterday... and I haven't EVER HEARD OF THIS BANK OR CARD.

National Bank of California
EDP Card

Never signed up for this.

I was filling out loan applications online and there were a bunch of pop ups. One was for a credit card and my information was already filled in, but I did NOT agree to anything and I don't even have the card. I will be notifying my bank in the morning and contacting this National Bank of California.

$159.95 was taken from my checking account without my knowledge or authorization. I was applying for a pay day loan never signed for anything at all. I would like to know what I can do to make this company pay me back and see them charged and prosecuted for this crime.

I can't believe it! I called my bank to check the balance and found that a withdrawal had been made out of my checking account for $159 and some change. I had applied online for a payday loan and was offered a credit card. As I read the fine print on the card I decided against it because the fees were ridiculous. I simply closed the window for the card but WHAM! who would have thought they would be able to swipe money from my account like that. I'm astounded, this is unbelievable. It looks like I'm not the only one who got taken advantage of. If anyone knows how to contact these jerks please let me know. I want my money.

The same people did it to me saying I order something which I never did. I do not know these people at all. I informed my bank. They are looking into it. I just hope to get my money back 159.95 same as all the rest.

EDP Card Scammed me out of $159.95

I applied for a payday loan and several pop-ups came up. I don't really remember this company but I think there was one that had a mastercard offer (must have been this one) it had my information already filled out but I clicked out of the box without authorizing as I have told the representatives several times now. They have told me that since 3 days have gone by since my application (when I filled out the payday loan) (2/25/07) they couldn't issue me a refund. I didn't see the withdrawal from my account until 3/3/07 which I contacted them but they were closed over the weekend. I have read others have had the exact same problem. Rip-Off lists 15 people and I am sure there are others. I have contacted my bank, the BBB, and I am going to continue to look into this matter. Our bank account is in the negative thanks to this company. I believe they should be investigated for fraudulent practices. I suggest others keep pursuing this as I will. Thank you.

I too was charged an NSF fee for EDP trying to withdraw $159.95 from my account. I withdrew all my money out because I had a feeling this would happen when I applied for a payday loan it popped up several options... then after a few times I saw the $159.95 fee and attempted to email every one I can think of on the pop up to cancel all transactions. I applied since 07/28 and they attempted to withdraw money out yesterday. Does anyone have any contact info for them EDP people? I'd like to give them a call and tell them to stop attempting to withdraw the money. Thank you.

I applied for a payday loan on June 24th 2017 and my personal information was apparently obtained by this company also, this was without my consent. My checking account was debited $159.95. This put a strain on my account, which was a shock when it was discovered, I am recommending to all I know to not let this happen to them.

I got an EDP card and have tried everything to get my money back. I am on disability. And cannot get any responses to them when I call>. I always leave a message to a person named Jeff ext. 123. But have been totally ignored. I am very angry that I cannot get a responses from this company. Then I learned that this has been done this other people.

This is BS. I too was ripped off by this company and I would have definitely remembered if I were to authorize such an amount. I yelled at my bank in person and they were able to reverse the charges within EOB the next day. They also wanted a police report but I refused because of lack of time. I suggest you speak with your financial institution for a prompt resolution to this and any other variances you may discover while going over your personal bank account. Hope this helps =)

I'm having the same problem today, i was applying for a payday loan and i surely didn't authorize the 159.95 deduction that was taken from my account. It happened June 26 and today is June 28th why would i authorize 159.95 so close to rent day. I think I caught it within the 3day period but no one will pick up the phone or respond to online chat. I sent 2 email cancellations. I will print this out and report it to my bank, i definitely should be compensated for this error.

I too was scammed out of $159.95. And there is no way to get the money back. And like everyone else, my account was in the negative. My car payment bounced. Thank goodness I make it to a private party so they understood, if not, I would have been walking to work. Something should definitely be done about this company, like a class action lawsuit. Anyone agree with me?

These people have a very good scam going. You think your applying for a payday loan online ONLY, yet come to find out that you authorized that company to issue you this debit card as well. Thats what happens when you don't read the fine print. $160.00 is a lot of money to go down the drain for this kind of scam. If there is anyway or anything that can be done to shut down this company, let me know.
