Good day, My wife (Previous account holder at Edgars) applied for an Edgars Account at your Somerset Mall Branch, Her Id. [protected], Candice Smith, after so many time wasting experiences at the shop, she eventually got a declined answer and in the mean time your systems picked her up that she had an account and with all her Deductions even her debt paid monthly, her take home is R5000 that she can spent herself and that is without my Salary even. She was declined Affordability according to your Consultants on the phone at your Customer care. I found it really strange as she just recently bought a car (R120000.00) and was find fit for business. Firstly your service at that specific shop was shocking and the delays as well as the incompetency level is really not of our standard of what we offer when helping future or even existing or previous clients. For this is very disappointing and I want your team to do proper investigation in to this and we want to have an account by you because of your quality products your offer. Thank you

    Unfortunately the same happened to me. Jet keeps sending me messages to take out a loan to the value of R120 000 of which I do not need. However, upon waiting 2 hours at their Carlton Centre store on Sunday 02 July 2018 I was only told today when I went back to the store to enquire about the application that it has been declined due to affordability. I cannot understand this as after my expenses I am still able to afford to make payments by quite a bit. I did have an account previously for years but closed it because they wanted to charge approximately R23 for just keeping the card. However, upon enquiry recently I found out that they apparently do not now charge for the card herein. Hence my new application. Just a dissapointing experience.
