DVD DONKEY is a big scam... Unfortunately I did not see this web site before I ordered a very hard to acquire dvd set for my father for Christmas... As it turns out, I am having the same experiences as everyone else... The money has been taken out of my account... But, not dvd's have arrived in the mail (now 10 weeks since I ordered!) And no reply to any emails sent! I am really upset, if only because my father would have absolutely loved the dvd's for Christmas!

I hope no one else has this horrible experience!

I've only just seen the alert comments from buyers of DVD Donkey and now realised I'm been a victim of DVD Donkey too from my order for OUT OF THIS WORLD DVD Box Set hadn't arrived. Wasted $179.98 there. Asked for refund today on Thursday 7th 2 2008 see if I get a refund back if don't then I'm gonna take it further somehow.
Ordered that on 3rd Jan 2008 and it is now Thursday 7th Feb 2008 that's over a month waiting for it to come.
DVD Donkey says they even come and post it themselves. Well after it not turning up well after a month well don't think they deliver it themselves in person from country to country.

My attitude is fine all the time it's DVD Donkey that's got to get their act together.

The Government and other things like that should know about DVD Donkey and how to find them so that us Customers of DVD Donkey can get a refund back whether it's the USA or not.

Let you know how it goes.

DVD DONKEY IS A BIG LIE! They stole my money and my credit card number. They tried to make online purchases with my card. Thank God i have a wonderful bank, who stopped the scam in its tracks. DON'T BELIEVE ANYONE WHO HAS TOLD YOU OTHERWISE! THEY ARE PROBABLY IN ON THE LIE!

Don't worry guys, this fake company is being investigated and will be taken down... hopefully soon.

Looks like the same thing happened to us. We ordered all the seasons of Little House on the Prairie on 1/11/08 and here it is February 6 and no DVD's and a credit card bill of $177.78. Am going to write the credit card company and inform them of the fraudulent company.

I ordered the full set of Malcolm in the Middle, when I couldn't find it in Australia I was advised by a reputable store to have a look on the internet as it's probably available there, well how excited was I when not only did they have it but it was on special!

I am always so careful, I can't beleive it I'm in total shock after reading this website, It's unbeleivable that they can get away with this, I have reported it to my bank and now have an awful lot of forms to fill out, but I do beleive that they will get their's eventually, you can not do this to people, it's called Kharma!

I ordered a boxset for my grandfather back in December. After getting no delivery I contacted them. I got an e-mail reply a few days later stating my order was on backorder and would be shipped shortly. Now it is February and when I call their number I get a message saying the are not available. I also got an email from tvaddicts.tv saying it would be shipped but that was on January 18th. Still no shipment.

What now?!

Me too, like everyone else, got scammed. I ordered on 12/10/07, the series of Barney Miller for Christmas. As you all know by now, no dvds and it is almost Valentines. They will be stopped and I do feel really sorry for them. What goes around, comes around. These people are EVIL and they need to pay dearly.

I ordered on Dec 7 and they billed my card Dec 8 for more than the stated amount. They also sent me a fake tracking number on Dec 17 and I have yet to receive anything other than some emails. What does it take to put crooks like this out of business?

This place is a joke. i got scammed too. I ordered the Boston Public DVD and was so excited. I figured since it was X-Mas time they were probably backed up, but I was charged more than they said they were gonna charge, they don't answer e-mails or pick up the phone and I have left at least 7 msgs and guess what, no response. A few days after making my purchase I had my checking number stolen and a fradulent charge. I am sure it was the DVD [censored]es...I mean DVD Donkey. What a hassle. Anybody have a number besides the 7 TV show number?

DVD Donkey ... used my credit card number for other purchases!
I am sure they used my credit card to make fraudulent charges! I, like everyone else make my purchase and didn't think twice until I googled to find the website again and I saw the complaints... I was sicken. Then today a couple of businesses were kind enough to call me and they wanted confirmation -- well, I hadn't made any other purchases. I stopped my credit card - glad it wasn't my check card in this case, and they will not process any other orders and will send me a new number.

My boyfriend ordered a box set of the 4 seasons of Everwood for me for Christmas. He placed the order on December 6th, and I received my movies on January 10th. Not much for a Christmas present. To make matters worse, I was missing one disc and many of the others had fallen out of place during shipping and were scratched. When I attempted to watch the shows, I realized that the entire season had been recorded and burned onto a DVD from the WB...commercials were edited, but they did a TERRIBLE job! I have attempted to email this company for the past month...mainly just so I can get my missing disc, and they have stopped responding to my emails. I wish I had a phone number so I could talk to someone about the problems I have had.

I think i have been scammed as well i ordered 6 boxsets from these scammers which went on my credit card of over £270. They e-mailed me saying two of them are on the way but they never arrived. They said the other 4 are on back order but heard nothing. when i saw all these complaints (i noticed after parted with money) i got in touch with them using there live chat and told them about all these complaints, they just fobbed me off saying the complaints are from there competitors who are trying to put them out of business. At the time i thought that could of been possible but now still i have nothing and realise i have been conned. I don't know where there based but they say they use canada post.

I just want my money back, am i covered if i used a credit card?

OMG! I just found out that my husband bought me the Dean Martin set here and I"m appaulled at what I've found. I CAN"T BELIEVE I'm NOT gonna get my dvd set!

I've called the number being [protected].

Only to get a recording and them prompt to leave a voicemail!
I got nothing for the live person AND no e-mail responce.
I myself would of NEVER went through just any company. And if it was ME instead of him, I'd of went to TIMELIFE where it's sold.
I'm heartbroken. I've been waiting for this. He got it for our 10 yr anniversary! =(
I AM AND WILL be doing WHATEVER IT TAKES. FBI ...BBB all that. Anyone with info that I might need. Please let me know.

We have a reciept from their e-mail ...orders@dvddonkey.com
And our Credit Card where we've been charged.

And the fact theat they charged 19.19 for shipping is ridiculous! Unlike my husband... THAT would of been my flag!

I ordered a DVD box, though Dvd Donkey.com, on Dec 20th. I used my bank Debit/cerdit card. I got an email my order was shipped on Dec 26th, then Jan 9th got another email saying my order was on back order & no time frame on the shippment. Right then I know something was wrong. And I tried to call I always get the same voice mail and no one talks to you or call you back...I then went to my bank to find out I was charged twice...under two different names DVD shop and DVD store... Oh yeah when you call its Dvd aveune...I SAY WE CAN BE STRONG IN NUMBERS AND WRITE TO OWN CONGRESS PERSON, AND STATE AND FRDERAL OFFICES TO GET SOMETHING DONE. WE SHOULD ACT ON A CIIVIL SUIT. I have already left a voice mail to DVD Donkey/Aveune, that I wont sue them just for the money that is coming to me, but for any out of pockets exp. such getting new card, phone use, internet use, any time off from work etc...I STATED THAT I WAS FROM NEW YORK SO ANY IN THE TRISTATE AREA WE LIKE TO CONECT ME VIA EMAIL, CAUSE I LOOKING TO PUT THIS FOX...SHAME ON YOU & NINE ON YOUR SIDE AND OTHER LOCAL STATIONS... THANKS AND REMEBER WE ARE STRONG IN NUBERS...

I attempted to purchase a series on DVD Donkey as well. The difference is I was not charged for the videos but rather something else. I received a call from VISA Fraud protection to alert me of the issue. Everyone needs to also file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commision. They investigate this kind of fraud but only when they have received multiple complaints.

I also fell victim to these parasites. I ordered the 6 seasons of the Six Million Dollar Man for my husband's birthday. He had been wanting them forever. I did however, get a confirmation email stating the price and shipping information. The next day, I recieved another email stating they were on backorder, after being told they were in stock. I tried calling for a refund because I knew at that point that I had been taken, but to no avail. The phone number was useless, no one would answer. The voicemail box was supposedly full...wonder why? The website email was also a waste of time. Could not get through to anyone. It's truly a shame that there are people out there that are so low and won't earn a living any other way. They will get what's coming to them in the end. People can only do that sort of thing for so long. I just hope it was worth the price they will pay. It was an expensive lesson for me and one that I won't soon forget. I hope no one else falls for their garbage and saves themselves some heartache and money.

I placed an order with DVD Donkey just after new year and received all the promising emails confirming order, etc. I have since received two more emails telling me my order is on 'backorder'. I used the Livechat and found out that the dvd should be despatched the following week. That was two weeks ago. I have tried to access the Livechat facility but it no longer seems to exist or I can't access it! Has anyone else noticed this? Does anybody know how I can contact the company as I have noticed that all the emails I have sent fail to send and all phone numbers are a waste of time too. I paid using a debit card so I'm not sure if I can get my money back via my bank. It's my own fault really for being too trusting but I hate to think that I have been scammed. I will file a report to the Internet Fraud authority if I have no success. Any advice would be appreciated.

I was so excited when I found the DVD set I had been looking for - and it has been 7 weeks and I have not received my order and my credit card was charged, not only charged but overcharged.

Can the FTC do anything about this?

My experience is just like everyone else's whose credit card was charged more than the stated amount, no dvd's delivered, unanswered phone, when answered the person spoke broken English and lied, emails state "backordered", finally an email was received that offered a refund. Refund was requested 3 times by email. To date: no refund, no dvds after I sent emails throughout this month of January, 2008. The original order date was Dec. 5, 2007. What goes around, comes around so these people will pay in some way.

I was going to buy from DVD Donkey. Just about but before I did, i tried to contact them to ask a question. After three attempts I heard nothing back. I found this very unusual for a complany that's suppose to be legit. So I held off from buying then I looke them up on google and there is nothing but complaints about DVD Donkey.

What I'm wondering now is, why haven't they been shut down yet? Fraudulent businesses should be allowed to still operate! I know many people who would, after visiting the site, buy straight from DVD Donkey without researching them first.

Shut them down!

When I received the items, they were copied disks from TV Land. The cases were broken, and half of the programs could not be watched. This was the dialogue exchange that transpired when I contacted DVD Donkey again...

First of all sorry to hear about your son-in-law. Secondly I just ordered the same series, all 10 episodes of B.H. 90210, just before Christmas. Never recieved it. Then it went on back order 3 weeks after they charged me. I started to investigate. Obviously they are frauding people. I called my bank, went in filled out paperwork canceled my card. Now it's under investigation so I can get my money back! I saved all my emails. Good luck, try and get your money back through the bank! They are also using another source when you call the 800 #. they say they are DVD Avenue, well I found them online and emailed them. They wrote back immidiately and said the other place is scamming many people. To call the bank immidiately!

Don't order from DVD Donkey. Another related website is "UltimateDVDshop.com". They and "DVDDonkey" appear to be one in the same. I ordered 4-DVD package titles from Donkey and Ultimatedvdshop beginning in early January. Got email confirmations which were followed by emails 2-weeks later saying that the items were on backorder. My CC was charged. I became suspecious when everything was on backorder. I called their posted telephone number to cancel the orders but their message said that no one was available. I called again and was connected with a DVD rental company who advised me that Donkey was a fraud. I called my CC provider who removed the charges. They didn't question the charge removals so I assume they knew something about this outfit. Then I cancelled the CC account to prevent future problems. Agree that their website should be shut down.

I have posted here before and received those emails - I finally got to speak to Laura on the Chat live applet. She knew nothing about returned emails but is sending my refund request to the accounting department. She also gave me the Florida phone # [protected] which on phoning only gave an engaged signal. I asked also why the Country on my Visa statement was CYP and she claims the items are sent from Canada.

I have printed out all claims and also the emails and the live chat to take to my Bank this morning. Laura claims the refund will be back in 6 to 10 business days. *fingers crossed*

I ordered a boxed set of DVDs on January 2, 2008. I paid $24.00 for shipping (no big deal, I just assumed it meant they would arrive sooner). However, I did not receive a confirmation email. Then, about 7 days later I received an email indicating that my selection was backordered and would I like to wait or have them issue a refund. I of course requested a refund. Again, no response, no refund. Two days later, the exact same email arrived. I responded the same as before (IN ALL CAPS!) in case they couldn't read regular case letters. Again, no response, no refund. This morning I received the exact same email yet again. I responded the same, clarifying that I had responded to their previous emails to no avail. I indicated I was going to have to contact my credit card company to have the charge removed (have done that now after reading the other complaints). But, just for fun, I've sent them the identical response to their email about 25 times and plan to send it at least 50 times a day until I see the actual charge removed from my credit card.
Wish I had checked out the company before I ordered - oh well, live and learn!

Also, here is the number they included with their email, as well as their email: Toll-Free - 1-877-7-TV-SHOW or email us at orders@DVDDonkey.com

I ordered a dvd set on 12/9/07 - no confirmation received. On 12/10/07 I saw these complaints so immediately contacted DVD Donkey (or whoever they are) and said to cancel. I don't think communications go anywhere. I discovered my credit card was charged on 12/12/07. To date I have not received the dvds. I went ahead and reordered the dvd's from Amazon so my daughter got her Christmas gift. Starting the first of the year I began receiving e-mails telling me my credit card had gone through and that my order was on backorder. I have responded each and every time that I have cancelled and the order is to be cancelled immediately. I have gone to my credit card company and filed a dispute. There must be somewhere you can report an operation of this type so they can be shut down.

Hi,

I ordered the 1-8 seasons of The Cheyenne series from dvddonkey.com and it has been over 3 weeks and i have not recieved my dvds yet . They do not email you and let you know what is going on. I ordered these dvds because i did not know this was a scam. They took me for $117.72 and this is not right because no matter how you put it it is stealing and a scam and they should be some way we can get our money back.
Noboby should be allowed to rip anybody off because it is not right and it looks bad for the internet too. I will think next time before i order anything on the internet. If these people are allowed to pull this scam nothing will be safe to order on the internet and everyboby will be doing this. I was taught a very good lesson about ordering on line but it cost alot to find out you are never safe ordering on line. I hope somebody puts a stop to this because it is still thiefts we are dealing with.

Linda Shirley.
