Cellular One All around service

When changing over, they did not even take my IMEI number I had to offer it to them. 6 weeks after changing over, I finally got the prompt to set up my email, they did not have on Mexico calling as I asked before I called there, so I had to call in again, when they did not set up my visual voicemail that I called in for 6 weeks after starting, today it was just turned on! My auto pay was not set up either. Then set me up when I want to pay my bill and it is not the date that I picked, it's 12 days later! This is worse than t-mobile! And that's pretty hard to get more disgusting than they are

Desired outcome: Train your people!

Cellular One upgrade phone

Good Day

I renew my Cell phone with Call C on the 29 July, a Samsung S10, I did not use the phone immediately, because I was away for work, and first wanted to put on a glass cover for the phone before I start using it, so after 7 days I went to put on a glass cover and the people doing it told me to take the phone back as there is a default in the phone looks like a screw or something that is lifting the cover and I will have problems at a later stage.

So I went to Cell C in Cape Gate immediately to inform them of the problem and the refuse to swap the phone because the 7 days they are giving you has passed.
I explain to them the phone is still in the box, I've never put my Sim Card in or even charge it but they don't want to hear anything said they must sent it away, which I don't want to do because it is a brand new phone.

The I took my phone to Samsung in Tygervalley, and they also told me to not accept the phone because they can see the default but they cant change the phone for me because I did not took out the contract from them. The I went to Cell C in Tygervalley and they told me they can only send it away because again my contract was not taken out by them, they took the phone and sent it away, when I phone Cell C on the 20th after receiving a text message from them they told me that I've, took something out of the phone could not hear proper what they said I told the lady on the phone that I've never used the phone my sim card was not in and I even never charged the phone, she said she will phone me back but up to date I'm still waiting.

I just feel I never used the phone it is brand new and they want me to except a phone which they need to fix and I must pay R1500pm for an expensive phone
Which was never used by me.

My account with Cell C is already over 10 yers and not once you needed to contact me for a poayment and this is the treatment I get.
I only wanted a new phone not a new phone that neede to go in for repairs which I never used

I really hope that you can help me.

Cellular One one month free offer

Scam. Fraudulent
Order sim on February 28. Arrived approx March 6 they were informed I already had service. Reassured I had until March 31 to activate
In fact cut off other service few days short
Next I get alert of credit check. Fyi they are lying to FCC about everything, including changing the scenario
Called Cellular one I was ask if want to submit complaint. Said no. In retrospect should have opted out of service (fyi in process of order free sim, I have Unlock phone)
Then the calls began in reference to service. Ask them check the notes.
Again reassured that I had until until March 31
Lied to FCC. In reference to credit check. No I was not informed
Next, never received letter from them, it was a form letter that had zero to do with free month
(Attached by FCC) FCC received evidence of the offer
Evidence I had cell service with them less than a month
In fact one email from corp denotes I had 2 months service. The next I received one month free. Get idea?
In fact Manny a customer service agent with c one admitted to people charged for free offer. The post paid surprise
They will lie even with the evidence next received bill assured just a tax. Well later discover bill for March on reverse side of statement after being reassured I was on free month
Fraud line via AARP thousands of complaints on them, and thousands more took the bait on this offer. Volunteer at fraud line
Advised call ftc, BBB in Oregon, attorney general. (I will contact attorney general in Oregon too)
My Time is valuable. I believe they owe me thousands by now
FCC received my evidence. Must not have looked at it, how ever in fact attached cc of offer. In fact one can find it on the web
Next, before activating sim I again asked about my free month again reassured.
Next another bill approx 130$ !
Called talk to supervisor mark. Quote my account was not pushed forward. Yadda yadda. Billing not informed then he checked usage in March. None. Of course not I had simple mobile prepaid.
In fact he said I should have cut off offer !
Bill three .lastly they wanted to settle for approx 25$. Heck no
Date of disconnection is bogus. Cut them off before 30 days.
In fact I had already bought prepaid Sim.
This is short version.
Next, I reported them for mail fraud.
This company is not a true no contract company. Postpaid surprise. Read their terms.
Beware they are expensive. Have wifi? Complaints from members consumer Cellular took money from bank account. Members rec no alert they were at data limit (which far from truth)
Thanks for listening
Data is outrageous. A bargain no. Tv ads deceptive.
The company corp is in Oregon.

Cellular One Major Ripoff

I recently entered into a contract with cellular one. My credit is not that great, and had to go with what is called a B credit plan. My service is $49.99 per month, and I have a $75.00 spending limit. This plan required me to purchase my phone up front, with no discounts. So unless you want to spend $400 dollars on a somewhat decent phone, you are stuck with a dinky phone. I paid $75.00 for the phone, which is no better that a $9.99 tracphone. The complaint is this. The spending limit, is a real big ripoff. They will turn your phone off, even if you haven't reached the limit. Case in point, I paid $100.00 on 1/15/12, that payment gave me a negative balance of $-16.20. On 1/30/11 (15 days later) they again suspended my phone, for going over my spending limit. Upon contacting their lack luster customer service, I was told that my balance was now $84.00, and that I was over my spending limit. Remember it was a negative balance two weeks ago. My bill is around $55.00, do the math, I should not have reached my spending limit. But here is the deal, they charge you $2.00 a day, which for a month is actually more than your invoice amount. Confused? Well what about the rest of us. The bill never ever comes in a timely manner, so you never know where you stand with the spending limit. The website(what website) says that you can check your balance online, pay your bill etc...Well good luck getting into it. It requires you to enter your zip code, in order to get past the first screen. My zip code, does not work, neither do 20 other zip codes in my area. But there is a cell one store here, so you would think it would work, nope. Ohh, and since they also charge you a $5.00 dollar fee for reaching your spending limit. This fee is not disclosed, in any of the documentation. I had called customer service several times, before I found out about it. I thought that my issue was an isolated event, so I called my local store, to see if any other customers where complaining about the spending plan. They were MORE that willing to tell me about the MANY complaints they were getting. they even told me that they had been telling corporate about all the complaints they are getting. Bottom line...Don't become a cellular one customer, just don't do it. There are better companies, even if you have to go the prepay route.

I am trying to buy a home and now I have to deal with getting this off of my credit! I wish there was a class action lawsuit of something to join to dispute these charges and get them cleared from my credit without negatively affecting my score!

I was signing up for new service at the New store opening in Rusk with the manager. He made alot of great offers and guaranteed my service was not going to go over $160 a month! I had gotten buy one get one offers and more. A great deal that could not be beat, but was to help him get business drummed up for new location! When I got first bill I was that I was being charged for items that were supposed to be on sale and supposed to be free! I had to call and get him to go into the account and correct the bills himself. He reassured me that the service amount would go down as well. After getting the next bill I saw the amount had not gone down. I had contact him several times as I was told by the corporate office that he could adjust the amount due to reflect what he quoted me. After reaching out to him directly several times via text and call with always a response of I will get back with you shortly... never to hear back from him. He did not adjust the monthly bill to reflect the quoted price and he would not note the account for anyone else to make the changes for him. I was basically harrassing him on his cell phone and bussiness phone to get what I was quoted and was being blown off and got the run around from the stores and corporate office. So I quit paying, now they are on my credit for over $1, 100 and say I signed a contract, NOTE THE CONTRACT DOES NOT SHOW ANY DOLLAR AMOUNTS EITHER!

My three month experience with Cellular One has been a nightmare. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. Several people with the company have very clearly lied to me. I am told something different by each person I talk to. They have billed me for a month I didn't even have their service (it is not the month in advance fee). They have entered me into a contract on one line that was not under contract, which they admitted wasn't under contract, then put it under contract when my self provided phone on that line broke and I was thinking of to putting the line under contract to purchase a new phone. I am in the process of demanding that they produce my signature on a contract for that line, the end result will be that there is no contract on that line because it never existed until they created it without my signature or consent. It would take a book to list unethical things they have done in the very short time I have been with them. The above is just the tip of the iceberg. I've decided that I will pay an attorney rather than any Early Termination Fee to keep this from going on my credit. They will never get another penny of my money as they have already ripped me off for several hundreds of dollars. It will go to legal representation instead. My advice on this company is to RUN and don't look back if considering them. You would be better off with a two tin cans and a string.

Cellular One Lies, Lies and More Lies

I am writing as a concerned consumer, regarding the practice of the employees at Eagle Satellite Cellular One. During the first weekend in April they set up a tent in Clinton to gather new customers. Customers who were losing their cellular coverage from AT&T and also stating that they have better signals and service than Verizion all at a cheaper monthly price.

They promised me better signals, less dropped calls, in my area and in town. This is not true, I've contacted their National Customer Service, and it's a "known" issue with the weak or no signal service the company provides in multiple locations throughout Missoula County. The customer service agents I have spoken to, only offer an appology and advised me to make my calls outside. I asked them how this would be possible in the cold Missoula winters. To that, I got an "I dont know" responce.

They also promised me a $200 Pre-Paid card to "pay off" Verizion's ECF. They stated the card would take 60 days to reach me, and to date I still have not received my pre-paid card. I have also contacted the local office, left several unreturned messages, and the National Call Center to check on the status of this card. At the end of June, I was told the card was processed and mailed out on June 17th, and I should be recieing it any day. I called again today to check on the status of the card, and am now being told they have run out of them. When I questioned how they could offer something and them run out of them, the agent corrected herself and said they are running behind.

During the time I signed up at the Promotional Tent, I asked about summer travel, if we needed to leave the state of Montana. I was told "No Problem!" you have unlimited talk and text. for 2 weeks before my 12 year old daughter was set to go to California to visit her grandparents, I called and left messages and I also spoke with the customer service department again. At this point I was told that I would need to purchase a $69.99 plan for my daughters phone, and could not get my promotion back once I made the change. They did advise that I could add 100 "roaming" minutes to the current plan for $9.99 but this would only cover 100 minutes, after that, there would be a $0.30 per minute charge. I attempted to conact the local office and speak with the lady who sold me the phone, but she was never available nor would she return my calls. Each time I spoke with someone in the local office, I was told to dial 611 from my cell phone.

The contract had a 14 day period for you to like the product and cancel without penalty. Unfortunatly, Cellular One took 11 of those days to perform the port of my Verizion Phone to my new CellOne phone. During this "waiting" period, I could only receive calls on my Verizion phone, the CellOne phone only worked for Text Messages. This only left me 3 days to test the phone and see if I was happy with the service. I have called the customer service center about this issue as well, and they stated that it was Verizion fault and that I should contact them. Verizion stated their port service happens as quickly as the information is submitted to them. CellOne had no responce for me on this arguement that Verizion had.

I am now in a 30 month commitment, and when I've called to point out each and everyone of the issues listed above, agent argue with me and tell me there is nothing they can or will do about this and if I cancel my account, I will be charge $250 per line. Which on the paper work signed by me during the Tent Promotion, the sales rep crossed out a $175 ECF amount and hand wrote $250 on the form.

Cellular Ones phone coverage in Bozeman, Montana is spotty at best. Stay away from this company. They tell you what you want to hear and promise to fix things so that you can get better coverage, but nothing changes. Wasted lots of time on the phone with them trying to find out why my calls are dropped or don't go through at all. They cannot provide me with the service that was promised, but still want to charge me a $250 termination fee. Buyer Beware and Stay Away from Cellular One!

Cellular One Wrongfully turned me into a collection agency

I received a collection notice from a company in TN claiming I owe Cellular One $408.08. The final bill was so high because I used my same number when I switched not knowing this would cancel my contract 5 days early. I paid this bill and it went through my account back in March. I never got any notices it was "unpaid" (which was never the case any way). Then on May 29th I all of a sudden get this notice. I call on Tuesday (couldn`t call Monday because of the holiday) and at first they tell me I have a zero balance and I was never turned into collections. Then I call the collection agency and they say I was turned in. So I call Cellular One and they say I was turned in after all, but it was their mistake. That they will call and get it straightened out. Now I`m waiting until the end of the week to find out what happens. I will update you!

Cellular One Deceptive billing practice

Sent Nokia E63 phone in for repair on or about April 12, 2010. Received a "loaner" phone at which time I had my original plan suspended until original phone was repaired. Received "repaired" phone back on April 29, 2010. Original plan was to be reinstalled on phone and called to make sure it was. Whomever assisted me did not place original plan back on phone and I was not made aware of this fact at the time. Phone still did not work, was able to access internet 1/2 time and email was unfunctional. Called for help and only received text messages on how to operate. On May 25, 2010, a CellularOne employee called to inform me that I had accrued over $800.00 in charges on my phone beginning on April 29, 2010. She could not be specific as to what the "charges" were and only referred to them as "data" and text messages. She said the charges had accrued because I had not reinstated the original plan. I did on April 29, 2010 and evidently the representative did not reinstate them to the phone as promised. On a monthly basis since August of 2009, my phone bill has been roughly around $90.00 a month. I was surprised that someone did not contact me when the huge charges began accruing on the phone until the end of their billing cycle. She then informed me that the only way to dismiss the charges was to up my plan to $80.00 a month, (from $29.99) plus other charges. So in order to wipe the charges clear, I had to "upgrade" my plan. I feel that they held me hostage in order to get me to change my monthly plan, which as I may point out, is quite inferior to my original plan. I feel that I was not informed adequatley, nor in a timely fashion about huge charges showing on my phone, and that they waited until the end of the billing cycle to hold me hostage so that I would "up" my plan. I was threatened with collection if I did not go along with their resolution.

Cellular One lies/deceit/fraudulant practices

have phone that is out of contract, when at the store tell them we want to cancell the phone and shut it off, they tell us to call their 611 number to do that, we called their 611 nimber they said no problem just call end of the month and all will be fine and shut off, so we wait till end of march 2010 and call 611 again to tell them we want the phone off at end of the month, they then say to just doit whne we go in to pay the bill on april 7 2010 and will be ok, we go into store on april 7 2010 to pay and was told to call their 611 number again, we call their 611 number again and tell them we want the phone shut off, they then tell us that we have to do that in the store, so we go back to the store to fix billing issue and to have the phone shut off again, they get on phone with their 611 nimber to shut off the phone and then tell us it will have to be shut off at end of april 2010 now not aas we were told several times it would be when we came in to pay, so now we have to pay another month on the phone we dont want because of their song and dance to stallus and to get us to have to have it another month, we feel this is outright deceit lies and fraud towards us in order to get more billing against us for something we dont want, I wonder how many others they do this to every month, I will be also making this complaint to the BBB, I think a class action suit may be in order for this type of business practice .

Cellular One Fraud and scam

citi bank giving late fees when every other month my payment was made on the same date and it wasn't late. They have no way of proving that your payment is late is what they told me and that they just put it through whenever its convenient for them SORRY is what they told me. They just wanted to raise my rate is all and that was their excuse. I want my late fee charge back.

Thanks Nancy.

Cellular One Beware

Be cautious when signing up with a cell phone company. Get a written contract and fully understand what the cancellation policy is. Don't be charmed by all their unlimited this and unlimited that. Don't be roped in by a seemingly great cell phone deal. It's not about you and it's not about the service. It's just about getting your money and padding their bottom line. The devil is really in the details when you are dealing with this kind of company. You may have no recourse against terrible customer service and terrible phone service. Beware and be smart. It will cost a lot if you don't pay attention. Unfortunately I learned the hard and costly way.
