Barton Publishing Fradulaent Advertising

I ordered the High Blood Pressure Remedy Report from Barton Publishing which stated in the ad:

"Learn Exactly How To STOP High Blood Pressure And Eliminate Your Risk Of A Heart Attack Or Stroke, In Just A Few Short Days, Using A Step By Step Natural Home Remedy - With No Worry, No Wasted Money, No Pain, and No Harmful Drugs..."

This small pdf download included no step by step process or home remedy and offered no way to lower your blood pressure in a few short days. All it really contained was a collection of mostly nutritional information that can be found for free on many websites. This actually isn't a bad product, but it is overpriced and does not give the information that it's advertisement claims.

I started to order a report on high blood pressure, but when I got the final page there were charges for things I didn't order and didn't want. I went back a few pages to try to find a way to delete the things I didn't want. When I couldn't, I left the website. The next month WellnessWatchersMD began charging my credit card. I disputed the charges with my credit card company be so far have been unsuccessful. This company is bad news, don't order any thing from them.

BARTON PUBLISHING designs their ads and ordering process to RIP OFF anyone ordering their so-called health products. The order process does not have a preview of what items you order prior to submittla. When you call the 800 number, you get a recording telling you to e-mail their dis-service department. You never get a response.

Once you do all of this... DO NOT accept their product nor click on their download link. Call your credit card company and file a complaint. You will be credited back and the investigation process may take up to 90 days.

BARTON PUBLISHING is a fraudelent outfit... period!

Barton Publishing Refund

In respect of a purchase made for a remedy on

www.getridofkidneystones.com Joe Barton offers a full refund if his "remedy" doesn't work - well it didn't and I notified him several times requesting a full refund, Joe Barton states "100% gauranteed results or pay nothing" - well I paid, tried the remedy - twice and it din't work. I e mailed the stated address four times and not even a repsonse - let alone the refund. Also they ripped me off additional charges for wel watch MD - and continued to charge my credit card - because I failed to unscubscribe - I thought it was junk mail, not monthly subscription. Any websites stating 100% refund must honour the deal. I await response to my mail!

On 1-26-16 I ordered a diabetic solutions kit. When I watched the video it showed I was to get books instead I was getting letters through my e-mail. My first lettered started with day 9 and they claim I am on day 30 when it really is only day 24. The video also states it is grantee 365 days so I would like my full refund of $19.95 as soon as possible. You can get the money from the Beaver you paid to lie for you.

Barton Publishing Taking unauthorised money on credit card

Well, well! I did an internet search on Welwatch as I found that unauthorised monies had been taken from my credit card after I had ordered a report from Barton Publishing. The search found this site and, surprise, surprise, what do I find but other customers of Barton registering the same compliants as they, to0, have had unauthorised amounts taken from their accounts by Welwatch.

So, I immediately (this morning) contacted my credit card company and put the amount ($29.95) into immediate dispute as an unauthorised charge. I also cancelled my card so that they could not continue to "tap into" my account. I am based in the UK so I do hope some of you will file official police complaints against this shower!

In my humble experience (employed by a major credit card bank) is that many customers did auth welwatch to bill the account. From what I have learned, the customers had made a purchase with Barton publishing and ae intrigued bya rebate off er from wewatch. What the customer fails to acknowledge is that, in accepting the rebate they are also accepting a 15 day trial of the welwatch service. The service nust be cancelled within the trial period for the customer to avoid membership charges. This is my experience, and from it i can conslude that customers really should not be so quick to get what they incorrectly understand to be "free money" in the form of a rebate without making themselves fully aware and accountable. Everything has a price or a catch to it.

My credit card statement this month shows an unauthorised charge of £17.70 with the reference HMD08005916383 NJ. Having never had any dealings with Barton Publishing. I am interested to learn that these two companies appear to be linked.
In an attempt to resolve this problem I have emailed
Barton publishing at 'Support@Bartonpublishing.com'...I await their reply.

I purchased two cans of the Almond Kisses in April. I saw it was for Passover but I held it to Rosh Hashana. My husband use to buy these I
on the lower side of Manhattan, many years ago. These two cans do not taste good at all and doesn't look good either. I kept it in a cool place and never opened the cans. At the bottom in red is 1H017VR. UPC #[protected] 3. I think I bought these as a memory and my daughter remembered her father bringing them home. The cans were not cheap and I am so very disappointed. I would love to be able to get these fresh again.

I made a purchase from Barton Publishing in September 2008; paid for and obtained a receipt. Subsequently my Visa was billed in September for US$1.00; October '08 to April '09 at US$29.95/mth. Unfortunately I was not keeping a closer eye on my Visa and therefore missed these illegal charges. I called Wellness Watchers on 15 April and complained and only then did they cancel the illegal billing and credited me back with the April charge. So far they have refused to credit my Visa for the remaining US$180.70. This is unacceptable. What is more unacceptable is the fact that my Visa Co. refused to dispute and chargeback the illegal billings, further telling me that they would continue to process any new charges until I contacted the billing party to cancel the billings? Furthermore that if they issued me with a new Visa number that they would transfer any new charges to that Visa? What kind of crap is this?

Like so many others around the world, I have had a decuction of $41.69 taken from my credit card by Welwatch, knowing I had not purchased anything from this company, I went into the internet to find they are linked with Barton Publishing, whom I had purchased a publication last year worth $29.99.

I will be visiting my bank this morning to issue an unauthorised payment and will be cancelling my card, to ensure Welwatch cannot access my account for future.

Joe, please explain something to me. I recently got a credit card with a bank and never used it. The bank called me and told me that I haven't paid my outstanding balance- the only charge was one from "Barton Publishing"... and I have never made a charge. I KNOW I have never used this card because I have meant for it to be a backup if ever needed, and now I have to deal with the bank too. How did you do that? The bank is taking action, so I won't request that you reverse the charge. However, I WAS very dismayed.

I received an email this week informing me that "as a courtesy" my credit card would be charged $57 for the annual Home Cures that Work membership. I had absolutely no idea what this was so I called the customer service number provided on the email. Turns out when I had ordered information on an Acid Reflux Solutions Kit for under $20 on April 28, 2011, I was automatically enrolled in the Home Cures that Work (HCTW) membership - whatever that is. Say what you want Joe Barton, I was never presented with an option to decline, deny, turndown, check no, nothing. Given benefit of doubt though, I may have actually received something on acid reflux (a download perhaps), but I have never received any information in any shape, form or fashion on HCTW - no email, no download, no mail, no letter, no book, no pamphlet. The customer service person advised me: (1) that I had been a member since April 2011, (2) that HCTW information had surely been provided, and (3) that my credit card had been charged this amount each April 28 since 2011. Shame on me for missing this underhanded, sneaky, slimy reaching into my wallet and pilfering of my hard earned money grab of yours, but good grief! Even if you weren't stealing (and you are), you know exactly what you're doing with these tactics and it's just wrong. You charge $57 on my credit card every year for FIVE YEARS. I'm sure I assumed the charge each year was perhaps for a book (publishing, right?) my husband or daughter had ordered. Ugh! I could just throat you! But I digress... back to never receiving ANYthing on HCTW... Mr. Customer Service said it wasn't hard copy, it was access to a website using a username and password. Again, I had no email about any of this but fortunately (or unfortunately) I have email that spans back to 2005. I combed every April email for the years [protected]. Nothing. Not a damn thing. The email I received this week as "a courtesy"? It was to prompt a call because my credit card had expired and you weren't able to fleece me again! While on the phone with Mr. Customer Service, I went to the website: www.homecuresthatwork.com. He said to enter my email address in both the user and password areas and what-to-you-know, I was in. Funny thing though, I was viewing what ANYone who visits the website can view! UGH, you lying ###! I was able to look at the payment history so I have a copy of all the times you (Burton Publishing) stole from me. I attached it for the world to see. This, along with copies of my credit card statements, I'll be sharing with authorities. I'm not sure who yet... BBB, local police, FBI. Mr. Customer Service is definitely in on your game too. I'm sure he fields these calls numerous times per day. He put me on hold several times, spoke with his "supervisor" several times, assured me it would be escalated several times, yada, yada, yada. Joe Barton, you and everyone who works for you is a thief. What a racket you run. What a scammer you are. You lying piece of crap, you will surely burn in hell.

Just saw this site while checking on the Diabetes reversal email I received. Glad I did! However, haven't you folks heard of Virtual credit cards? Citi cards and some others have an option you can use for online ordering, that lets you set the expiry date and the credit limit. Set a 2 month expiry date and a credit limit a few bucks over the price you are ordering, and that's the end of it. That card can only be used with that merchant, and with a low credit limit, they can't add more stuff. After you use it, you can also delete the card. The charge will show up on the account of the real card you tie it to.
Hope this helps

Hello, yes, they still r doing it in 2015 cuz I just got charged from them and never enrolled in a membership with them. They're listing their name as Red US GDE which is when I looked it up, it's called Reductionguide.com or something in that category. So, everyone be aware. I called my Credit card Co. and if they don't block them or anything then I'll be sure to change my card rite away. They only charged me so far that I seen $19.95 but I'll be sure to check further into all of it since now I know and read up on it as well as looking it up too. So, be careful and don't do anything or even order from them. Nothing period cuz it's obvious that their a SCAM ARTIST, BIG TIME. Kathy.

Dear Ann,

We have issued your refund, and I apologize that you misunderstood the offer for Wellness Watchers MD. You had the option of choosing "Yes" or "No" to that offer, so I'm not quite sure why you think you were "automatically connected" - that is simply not true.

You probably dialed the wrong number, which I can relate to trying to call from Australia in your case.

Wellness Watchers MD has also issued your refund in full, and you should see this reflected on your credit card statement within a few business days.

This company is the biggest rip off that I have ever come across. Not only do you sign up for their whatevers but they also have a clause in their purchase page that automatically connects you to a site called wellwatchersMD and then they charge you $29.95 or in my case $46.67 for subscription to their magazine which you never receive!

They tell you that you get a free 14 day trial of the Wellness watchers whatever and if you do not cancel it within 14 days they will charge you a fee of $29.95 per month. When you go into this site you cannot get out of it. If you ring the contact number, a message comes up and says "Your call could not be connected. Please check the number and try again!" HOW UNCOOTH.

RIP OFFS! RIP OFFS! RIP OFFS!

I will let the entire world know just how shonky you people really are and hopefully close you down!

While I have not purchased any products from this company, they called me at 5:27 in the morning today to advertise their Diabetic Solutions kit. Why would you do this?!? Do your telemarketers not realize what time it is when they call their customers? It was 7:27 a.m. in the city and state where the call was placed. Do you really think that most of your customers are up at that hour and interested in talking to a telemarketer about buying a product that may not even apply to them? Someone needs to look into this. I was furious. I've been working long hours for weeks, and I do not need to be awakened 3+ hours before I'm supposed to get up for work.

Resolve this, please? Thank you.

(Number used to place call: [protected]. Caller stated they were calling on behalf of Diabetic Solutions. I don't have diabetes, and I have no idea how/why I was placed on this call list.)

I do not recommend purchasing CinnaChroma from Barton Publishing. I would not recommend getting anything from them because even if the product worked, you would still be dealing with Barton Publishing. CinnaChroma did not work for me as it had been hyped up to in their initial advertising and promotion. This was supposed to be so good, and it would provide great results for my type 2 diabetes. And it came with a one-year satisfaction, money back, guarantee.

After trying it for a month I called and told them I was not happy with the product. They reminded me of the one year guarantee and suggested I stick with it a little longer. At my next blood test, my A1c and my glucose levels had both gone up. I had also cut out all sodas (I drank about 4 per day). I cut back my bread and pasta intake in half. And my numbers went up! I called them to find out what I needed to do to get my money back. I was paying $47.00 a month for one bottle on auto-ship. They suggested I double my dose. They said they would drop the price to $33.00 per bottle. I couldn't afford $47 per month. $66 was out of the question. And why would I voluntarily pay more for something that didn't work the way they promoted it?

I had the purchase order numbers for the 3 bottles I received. I had just finished the 2nd bottle and didn't open the third bottle. I never kept the empty 1st bottle. Why would I. I expected everything to work. They told me that they would only refund me for the two bottles I could send back to the. WTF. They said it was in their written refund policy, and I should have read it before I made my purchase. If I thought their product wasn't going to work, why would I purchase it in the first place? The ONLY refund policy that mattered to my purchasing their product was the one year, money back, satisfaction guarantee.

They KNOW I bought their product! I had the purchase order numbers. Which they shouldn't have needed anyway. I was in their system. They knew how to ship it to me and bill my credit card. The one bottle they didn't refund was the 1st one for $67.00. Now $67.00 isn't going to kill me. And it sure as hell isn't going to affect Barton Publishing. I believe they should have refunded me for all three bottles I was billed for. That is my main gripe.

I am hoping this commentary will cost them more than my $67 in lost revenue. That seems like a very unintelligent business decision on their part. Maybe they thought I would go away quietly. If their return policy does tell purchasers to save their empty bottles in case of a future return request later in the one year of the guarantee, and say I was wrong, they know they have it written that way because most people don't save empty bottles. Shame on them. They don't deserve to be successful in business.

God sees what you are doing!

NOTE: The comments above are mine and mine alone. The "Complaints Board" is not responsible in any way for the comments made above. I was the person affected by the actions of Barton Publishing. What I have written is my true understanding of the incident. Barton Publishing did refund me $94.00 for two of the three purchases. And did so in a timely manner.

I bought an online booklet from Barton Publishing, as well as some CinnaChroma, a supplement to be used for diabetes. I declined everything else that I was prompted to order. I tried to cancel it, and was told it was cancelled, but I just got another bottle of CinnaChroma in the mail today. Of course, they charged me two times what they said they would charge. This really sucks.

On the 6th September 2013 I responded to an email advert for literature on lowering blood pressure by eating the correct foods. I have not read the whole thing as it is extremely repetitive and boring. The charge was $20.55. The exchange rate at that stage was R10 to the dollar (R205.50) in S.A. currency. On receiving my credit card statement I noted that they had debited my account with an amount of R828, 96 ($82.89).. In spite of numerous emails to correct this they have not sorted the matter out, They have credits my credit card with R209 which would be the amount of the original order. The telephone number that they supply is incorrect as when I dial it the message I receive is This number does not exist. I am at my wit's end in trying to sort this out,

Barton Publishing is a scam, they took my money, first they were only supposed to take $3 and change to try their product and I had time to TRY the product if I did not like the product I could cancel, if I liked the product I would be charged an additional $17, I was charged $33 + on the first day more than I was supposed to be charge ever. I canceled in the first HOUR because I did not see anything NEW about their product. I was indeed charged the additional $17 dollars, now they have $47 of MY money they are not supposed to have because I CANCELED and they will not talk to me, I was instead sent an e-mail telling ME to call them during their hours, of course these hours are during when I am at work, they have no evening and no weekend hours. THEY ARE LIARS AND CHEATS, THEY ARE A RIP OFF AND A SCAM. DO NOT WASTE A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY, THEY WILL STEAL FROM YOU EVERY TIME.

Thank you all to posted about how awful this company is. I was hoping to find information to help my husband who has just been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. How dare a company take advantage of people who are just trying to find the resources they need to help them get through a difficult situation.

I'm getting 10+ spams a day from these lunatics. My spam filter won't block them because they keep coming from different addresses. There's no justification for sending out this much mail about such a useless product. For awhile they had an unsubscribe link at the bottom of the page, which I used several times to unsubscribe. Now, four weeks later, I'm still getting spammed. I finally emailed everyone in the company I could find online, and I finally got a reply back from one of the executives saying they can't take me off the list because they handed over all of their spamming to some second party.

Sending out spam with no way to unsubscribe is illegal and underhanded.

I can't believe anyone would choose to run a business this way.

Barton Publishing Fraudulent Charges

After ordering a $17 report to download to my computer, and carefully responding no to a variety of other requests that popped up, I was surprised to discover I was charged over $250.00. I was charged for a VIP upgrade, a printed report (again, something I made efforts to select NO to when asked if I would like to receive it) and a number of herbs sent to me by a third party.

After speaking to two very nice customer service representatives and writing a complaint directly to the company, I have not received a refund or response.

I am planning on submitting a formal complaint to the FTC if anyone cares to join. I also will be filing suit in small claims court if my refund is not received over the next several days.

Hello, my name is John Code. In June of 2009 I purchased a pamphlet from Barton Publishing for approximately $20 that dealt with natural cures for acid reflux. Recently I looked at my bank statement and noticed that Barton Publishing has been taking $4.95 out of my checking account for the last 14 months. I called Barton Publishing and spoke to their customer service agent, Linda. I asked her why they were taking this money out of my checking account every month, and she said that I had signed up for their online news letter for home cures. I told her that I did not sign up for a monthly newsletter and that I would like my money back. She told me no, that I would not be receiving a refund. Then when she noticed I was a little upset she told me that I didn't need to be that way. At that point I asked if I could speak with her supervisor. She told me she would have her supervisor call me back. After a week, I had not heard from anyone, she told her supervisor that I had not heard from her. The next thing I know is I get an email from sheila@workaholics4hire.com. Sheila offered me $14.85 of my $69.30 back. I told her no, that I did not order their online newsletter and that she can check to see if I have ever logged into the newsletter. It's been another week, and I have not heard anything else from Sheila at workaholics4hire.com.

The only thing I can think of is that when I ordered the pamphlet, there must have been a box checked that I did not uncheck. I have run into this before. It is a very deceptive practice, and I think it should be against the law. At any rate, this is the beginning of my campaign to get my money back. Next stop will be the Minnesota Attorney General.

I had the same experience. I purchased an e-book on hypertension. The cost came out more than expected, but I assumed it was a fault on my side. However a c/card deduction was made from my account without authorisation which I was able to trace back to Barton publishing. I believe no amount of excuses or apparent reddressing of this matter will stop Barton from continuing with misleading representation of his services/products. I am posting this e-mail from South Africa and besides this site, have found others referring to similar complaints about Barton. Unless this type of sales promotions is stopped more unweary individuals will fall prey to it. The whole cyber-arena will become an arena of suspicion and mistrust.

Marina,

Your credit card has been fully refunded.

The reason you were charged for over $250 was due to a programming glitch with our shopping cart that happened in August. That problem was fixed shortly after you ordered, and I apologize for any inconvenience.

We also sent you an email notification of your refund, but you must not of received our email in your inbox due to an overly sensitive spam filter.

Thank you,
Joe Barton, CEO

Barton Publishing Overcharging

I ordered an electronic PDF download of a report about suggested dietary regimes for curing acid reflux at a total cost of $17.00. I also added a couple of "free" offers as a part of the order. However, after submitting my credit card details, I received an email detailing my order which totaled $48.95 as it included a hard copy to be sent to my home as well as a "VIP" upgrade giving me access to the "free" reports. I had also ticked a box which offered 2 months free trial access to WellnessWatchersMD, a website relating to healthy living. The confirmatory email (from Barton Publishing) stated that I was now committed to a monthly subscription to this website unless I canceled it in 14 days, and that Wellness would email me with login details in order to do this. So far I haven't heard from Wellness.

Have emailed Barton Publishing and await their reply.

Martin.

As a skeptic who would have strongly advised family and friends to do research BEFORE placing an order. I actually started the order WHILE researching Barton Publishing. But I had already entered my credit card info, before I realized that there was no confirmation process for the order as they just keep advancing you to other offers in order to push more charges onto your order. I was now suspicious that there was no way out, so I closed the window to get out of the process and immediately called my credit card company, They said that the charge had not shown up on their computer, but I was afraid that they already had my billing info, so I had the credit card company cancel that card and make a note that Barton Publishing was NOT authorized for any transactions on my account. Now I will await my new credit card, and they said that they are prepared for any potential charges from Barton Publishing on my account to be disputed. Once I hung up the phone I got an email from Barton Publishing confirming my order. But my card had already been cancelled. Ugh! CAVEAT EMPTOR!

I too purchased a PDF format medical report from Joe Barton and after a couple of weeks I've been hit with a US$29.95 charge from WelnessWatchersMD on my credit card. I went back to my e-mails and found one classified as spam, from welnesswatchersmd, telling me that I've received a 14 days free trial membership and if not canceled in that period, my credit card will be charged monthly. When ordering from Barton Publishing, I don't remember being told that I'll be charged in the future for services I didn't ask or that my credit card details will be passed to someone else.
I've sent e-mails to both Barton Publishing and WelnessWatchersMD to cancel this so called membership and to refund me the money they took but had no response at all at the moment.
I want to mention that a couple of years ago I also bought a "get rid of kidney stones" report from Joe Barton and it worked for me, so I don't know why he started to involve his name into this sort of dishonest practices.

Thank you all who have posted here. I post regularly on several very big "Natural Cures" sites that I have been a member of for years. I was considering ordering from Barton Publishing but after reading all the horrible complaints here I will never order something from them. I will also post on all the sites that I am a member of to warn all the other members to avoid anything to do with Barton Publishing. Good luck to you all and thank you for the forewarning.

Well thankfully I am one who Google everything, thank goodness I did too, cuz my mom takes so many medicines and I want her healthy but this would have been a complete waste as i see it. Anyway, doesn't anyone know if the apple remedy really works? Cuz I could use that right? I don't see how it could damage her but I can't trust them so...Anyway thanks, and hope you all are blessed and have your problems fixed.

Fully agree with comments made on Jan 9th, 2012 comparing the Joe Barton Internet commercial about acid reflux cures to similar typical scam artists. I originally heard about Joe Barton and his claims through a very popular right wing news web site called NEWSMAX, where Joe Barton is one of their advertisers. I think that Newsmax should be held responsible for fraudulent claims made by their advertisers because in the past, Newsmax has recommended many other fraudulent or misleading vendors. Newsmax needs some accountability here.

I am bombarded with stupid adverts via e-mail from Barton publishing every day. I have unsubscribed every single one of them, (countless at this point), and I label them as spam (Earthlink is good at filtering e-mail). These pieces of junk still get through my spam filter. I have called them three times at this point but still they keep coming.
I spoke to a supervisor today and If they send even one more I am going to contact the attorney general of South Dakota and I suggest any other person with this problem do the same. If you Google "Attorney General of South Dakota" you will find a form on line where you can voice your complaint. If they were a decent company with integrity they would not have a software crew out there trying to defeat spam filters, "sending" from unique and random addresses every day, even (I have read on software forum) changing their URL addresses! This is not the action of a reputable company these are the actions of a very fishy outfit.
Take action, Barton will ignore you as they did me, write to the Attorney General of SD. If enough people do this it will force them to play by the rules - or shut down this scam.

I'm wondering if the reason for all the complaints on these links is because some people are chronic complainers and can only take time to complain about things. I am CERTAIN that there is NO scam involved here and I will be ordering the Brain Health and Memory Kit hopefully today. We are all paranoid about scams in this day and age but honestly, not all are. I don't know a lot about this company but I do KNOW that they are honest and have put much time, energy and research into all this amazing information that we would otherwise not know about. Because my husband is diabetic and often had a problem with blood sugar levels - I decided to try their claims that 1/4 tsp cinnamon daily would help. We have noticed an amazing improvement! and we are so grateful. Thank you to the Team who have worked tirelessly on years and years of research and have put information together for us to benefit from. Yes guys your problems seem viable but each one has been addressed. Even though people have taken time to post these negative complaints, yet books could be written on success stories which you may never see. Thanks to the Barton Team.
