Auto Connection / Payment transaction fraud

I am beyond outrage at the poor customer service I received from your Auto Connection yesterday around 5:40 pm – 7:00 pm. Their Cashier didn’t represent Michael Wayne Investment in a professional and courteous manner.

I verbally authorized a payment of $190.00 however; the Cashier took it upon herself to run my debit card through twice taking $199.87 out of my account. This is consider fraud and against the law. Instead of owning up the fact that my card account number was submitted twice my bank was blamed. It was stated I needed to talk to my bank because I didn’t have enough money in my account and they only received $9.97. How would the cashier know to take this exact amount out of my account unless after running the initial $190.00 she saw I had a balance of $9.97 left and she input this amount to take out of my account? If there were insufficient fund the card declines the payment and not submit any other amount in lieu of the initial payment. The amount $9.97 may not be a lot of money to you but that was all the money I had left for food until Thursday.

When I explained this to her she was un-sympathetic to my situation and refused to correct her error. Please note this is not the first time an unauthorized charge have been taken from my debt card. On September 2008, I discovered this happen when the cashier took an additional $120 from my Wachovia Card along with my payment of $226.80. Please note the first time this happen I had to report it as fraud to Wachovia Bank and thought it was a simple mistake on the cashier part. However, this is a pattern this is not building trust. As a customer I don’t feel safe giving my debit and credit numbers over the phone especially since your worker willingly broke the law by committing a blatant fraudulent act. Despite the fact my bank confirmed what the cashier did over the phone when the rep from bank talked to her the cashier still refused to acknowledge her mistake, apologize or refund the unauthorized charge or stick to the agreement I had established with Mr. Yarbrough.

I am very angry and wish to be refund $16.00 the charge my bank charged me to get this mess fixed caused by Michael Wayne Investments and the $9.97 for the charge that I didn’t authorize (By not funding the $9.97 back to my account you are keeping an unauthorized charge). But most of all an apology. I never ever call Auto Connection authorizing a payment with full or partial knowledge that I didn’t have adequate funds to cover the charge. I always call my bank beforehand. So I know the funds were in my account. I know on yesterday before I called Auto Connection there was enough to cover the charge of $190.00.

PLEASE IF YOU EVER BUY A CAR FROM THEM NEVER MAKE YOUR PAYMENT USING A DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD.

I agree, some of the represntives are not courteous and especially the case works who handle your payments, I was hurt a year and a half ago we try to make arrangements on our payments, first they say that we can do a hardship payment, then they lied about that. They always come up with some lied like " we don't know everything about " and not only that they always switching a case worker every four days and you have to start the process over again, they are a pain and honesty I will never deal with them again

Sorry but i dont believe that.. The only people that can see your actual account balance is you and your bank. So sorry i really dont believe that. And if $199.97 was charged to your card sounds like to me my friend that you was paying a payment and a late fee. FIRST AND FOR MOST WE NEED TO UNDERSTAND THAT " THE AUTO CONNECTION" AND " MICHAEL WAYNE INVESTMENTS" ARE TWO DIFFERENT COMPANIES... Pay your payments on time and you will not ever have to worry about any issues from the fiance company.. It saddens me that when dealing with poor credit consumers they always try to shift blame somewhere else. If you would have maintained previous credit obligations you would have never been in a situation to deal with a bhph dealer.. So instead of trying to tarnnish The Auto Connection or Michael Wayne Investments.. you should be thanking them for taking a risk on you and your poor credit... With thatt being said Thank You Mack Mack for allowing me to get a car and Thank you Michael Wayne Investments for approving me with my less than perfect credit.

Myke757. Good luck to you, hopefully you don't have to go through what J.Armstrong is saying money is tight these days, mind you s/he is not blaming anybody all she is saying is this she had a problem and the CSR did nothing about it, if you know it all you will realize that late payments will be mention to the payee before any payment transactions always remember that. life is very is good with BHPH it dose not mean you don't point out their mistakes.

IDK. Im kinda feeling that story but not all the way. I have purchased a car from MACK MACK and I had problems 3 weeks after I bought my car and till this day NO ONE has really called me back until I threatened to call the bbb and wavy 10 because they sold me a vehicle promising me the missing items in my car would be replaced. not to mention the paint that came off my bumper that they have yet to call about. its embarrasing yes and I took the MACK MACK logo off my vehicle. Its taken them 7 months to finally call me back and only because of my FINAL threat. It shouldnt matter who or what or where you buy your vehicle. If there a COMPANY and want to be respected they should treat there "paychecks"(US/CARBUYERS) a little bit like they enjoy there job

This company is the worst I've have my car 5 months the 2nd month my transmission went out they have yet to correct the issue im in the process of taking them to court they are not accredited by the BBB there rating is a f i went to speak with Kevin Thompson he refused to come out and speak with me. there is a lemon law act in va for those who don't know as well as a consumers right act just because you don't have good credit doesn't mean you have to be treated unfair and trust me there are other accredited places that those with not so good credit can go to.do not purchase from them. i am taking measures you can be refund and don't have to keep your vehicle that is a lemon and they know before selling transmission failure within 2 months really.look at the lemon law act and consumer rights there are lawyers who take cases for free due to the fact that they win majority cases.this was by for the worse discussion i made as a first time buyer but you leave and learn

yes i had to turn my car back in because i'm retired now an can not afford the $414.00 a month they told me they would sell the car and that i would be responsible for the rest of my loan that is not a good way to run a company i told them that if they would reduce the payment down to $200.00 a month i would keep the car they came down to $315.00 a month but that was still to high for me . so i told them to pick the car up they keep turning the car off

I am confused... I thought that if you filed for Bankruptcy that the loan is wiped out BUT you had to turn in the car if it stilled had a lean on it. If you choose to keep the car then you still had to pay for it.

    Highlights
Even in bankruptcy, you may need your car to get to a job.
Under Chapter 13, the borrower would continue to pay off some debts.
With Chapter 7, the borrower gives up assets to walk away from debt.

I am quite familiar with the lemons that are sold by The Auto Connection. I ran into some mechanical problems only two weeks after my car was purchased.Their mechanics fixed all but one problem. That too was after I mentioned the Lemon Law to them. If it's one thing I hate it's man inhumanity to man. No matter what financial situation you're in or financial difficulties you are facing it doesn't give anyone the right to exploit you due to them. May be The Auto Connection's customer relations policies need to be enforced by those individuals who wrote them. Customer relations can make or break any company. Never forget why Jesus over turned the tables in the temple. People were practicing the same deceptions and exploitations then as they do today. There is always a price to pay for any ungodly act. I can only pray they see the wrongness of their ways and correct them. They have always treated me with respect no matter what situation I was addressing or making known to them. We to need to examine ourselves before placing blame. Sometimes we have a tendency to turn a pleasant day into an unpleasant one by the manner in which we approach a service provider. Your tone can make all the difference in your treatment. Don't forget that you have three fingers pointing at you when you point the one. Go and make a difference in the life of others and be blessed by doing so. We all have bad days. A smile and a sympathetic word can turn a cloudy day for someone into a day of sunshine.

Michael Wayne Investment company has contacted me a work on at least 3 occasions when I have repeatedly explained to them that I refuse to discuss my private business while clocked in and on my work phone that has recorded calls. Now when they call, I jus hang up since they don't seem to understand words. They have also called my phone in upwards of 7 times in 1 day, usually back to back they have also made just as many calls to family members and friends that I listed as references when I filled out the application for the car. Earlier today, I received an email from them to confirm that I authorized them to take money out of my bank account. This was a lie. I never spoke to them to make this agreement. There customer service agents are extremely rude and do not listen. The way they run their "business" is disgusting
