I've heard many stories of used car dealers being untruthful etc, but the dealer at the Newport News, VA The Auto Connection takes the cake. He tried selling me a used 2004 Chevy Cavalier with 75, 000 miles for nearly $11, 000 which is absurd, being that the car was only $14, 000 brand spanking new. It's 7 years old now and has 75, 000 miles! The blue book and NADA value of them same car retail is about $5, 000 to $6, 000 less than what they were asking. And yes that is retail, not private party. So unless you want to pay way more than the car is worth, Do Not go to The Auto Connection in Newport News, VA... or probably any of them for that matter.

These people are scammers, you pay double of what the car is, the sales people lie to your face, and the cars they sale are junk, but when you got bad credit they take advantage of your situation I've already called WAVY 10 and I've already filed a complaint with the BBB,
When I got my car I told them something was wrong with, they told me to bring it back up, the service department was already closed
So I bring it back up and told every excuse at why they could not fix the problem now my vehicle is in the shop with that particular problem and they all refused the fix unless I pay them so I'm out $18, 000 on a piece of junk do not trust these people

Auto Connection is in the business of helping people rebuild their credit. If you have the ability to go to a new car dealership then they are not for you. If you have bad credit or no credit, it's a good place to buy a car with a low down payment and build your credit back up.

$11, 000 is a rip off price for a 2004 Cavalier, when you consider that I paid the SAME $11, 000 price for my 2004 Cavalier...in 2005. I bought my car from a Chevy dealer, and it had 8300 miles on it when I bought it. A 2004 Cavalier with $75, 000 miles should sell for at least $4500-$5000 in 2011. I assume that Auto Connection is just like JD Byrider and some of those other ripoff used car places...selling high-mileage cars at outrageous prices and high interest rates. But if your credit is poor, and you need a car, people can easily be lulled into those ripoff joints.
