Ashley HomeStore owner does not fulfill warrenties or is concerned about customer satisfaction

The unfair and unreasonable owner Jack made this the worst transation I have ever delt with. I bought a sofa and paid $50 for a delivery assurance that it would get delivered without any damage. The first time it was delivered it got ripped in 2 places so the company took the sofa back. They told me I couldn't get a new sofa and would have to wait until they repaired this one. First of all I paid for a new sofa, not a repaired one but they did not take to that arguement. To make it worse, it took a month to get my repaired sofa back! Plus when they came back with the sofa they made me sign a disclamer saying if anything happend this time the company was not responsible and would not repair it which totally counterdicts what the delivery warranty said. When I called the owner, Jack, and asked him about this he said basically too bad, sign the paper or you don't get the couch you've been waiting for. He was very rude and did not care about customer satisfaction at all! Unbelievable!

If you are dis-satisfied with him, then you will be happy to know he no longer works for Ashley Furniture and now has his own business "Choice Furniture" on Rte 3 in Plattsburgh, NY. So if you want to avoid this from happening in the future I highly advise not buying from there. Good luck in your future furniture buying experiance.

Ashley HomeStore mattress

I purchased a Simmons BeautyRest Mattress (Norcorss) from Ashley Furniture Tyler TX and about 3 months it had a sink hole in it. I have now gotten another one just like it and it has already done the same thing sink hole. Ashley Furniture now has refused to warranty my mattress and will not deliver a new one . This store has the most rude and smart mouth people that I have ever dealt with. This store should be closed down due to poor and no customer service. The owner that holds the license is go to be the stupist person on the face of the earth. Her sister and nephew run the store with no respect to any customer service. Do not shop at Tyler Ashley Furniture store sales and service is void. I hope all that read this ad never buys one piece of junk furniture there. Warranty lady and you known who you are, are the most disrepectful person and the biggest lier I have ever seen. I feel sorry for anyone that has to work at this store and deal with the people that try if that is what you call it run this store. I will never shop there again and will tell everyone how this store does business and how they do not stand behind their products. If I were Simmons Beautyrest Mattress Co I would pull all license of sales for this mattress from that store due to warranty issue. I will never Buy another Simmons Beautyrest Mattress anyway due to this issue.DO Not Shop Ashley FURNITURE TYLER TX

I purchased a Nolan Beauty rest and it has a sink hole too. I went in to Ashley Furniture in NC and they tried to tell me that they were giving me a credit of 579.00 towards an 1100.00 dollar set. Said that the mattress was discontinued. I told them the warranty card said that they had to replace or replace with something comparable. They argued with me and said they would just issue a credit towards another mattress and that nothing was wrong. I then took out my warranty agreement that comes with the mattress and it was at that point they told me to pick something out that was comparable. I am sorely disappointed and will NEVER purchase anything from Ashley ever again.

The Manufacturer's warranty should replace your defective mattress for 10 years from the original date of purchase. If your mattress sagged over 1.5 inches 5 times over 10 years, it should be replaced 5 times over 10 years (provided there are no stains/spills/spoils on the bed).

You should try to find the phone # for Simmons out there in Tx and see if they'd be able to help out.

Ashley HomeStore sofa cushions are terrible

I bought Sofa and Love seat in Sep 2007 from Ashley Furniture, Woodbridge NJ with a 5 year protection plan for $125. The cushion has gone so bad that its causing me severe back pain from more than 3-4 months. I called up the warranty company and they say they do not cover structural damages.

Why was I not told when I purchased the warranty that the structural damages? If I was told about that I would have purchased the warranty.

The customer service is so horrible that they would not listen to you.

My family and I are military. We purchased a new set from ashleys a few months before our move. There was a scratch on the couch had a scratch on it. We called the coorporate office, they called a local store near us and they come and serviced it. It still looked terrible so Ashleys coorporate office did everything in their power to keep everyone happy! Our set was discontinued only after a few months because the type of leather (italian) was to hard to mantain, so they told us to go pick out a new set on them. egual to original purchase prices and the Ashleys near us would swap new of old (well older, the set but wasnt 3 months old) The New Ashleys didnt want our old set at all! it was is great condition other than a noticable 2 inch scratch they did try and service... So the old set was donated to another miltary family that could really use it! Ashleys is the best company ever. They were willing to help out a great deal and coorporate was very very friendly! Will always go to ashleys!

Ashley HomeStore no delivery of furniture at promised time

i purchased a love seat couch and rocker recliner set back in march of 2009 and i still haven't recieved them. i called on the status of the furniture and was told that it was to be delivered the second week of may. which was 6-8 weeks waiting time that was fine. it has now been going into 4 1/2 months of being told it will be in two weeks. then i get a phone call saying the vp was going to be calling me back on tuesday morning i wait around all day and no phone call. so i call back tell the store secratary she says she is emailing him to contact me now and still no answer. i called back numerous times and get told the same thing over and over again. then im finally told that it is a production problem and it would be delivered first week of june, let me remind you i still haven't got a call from the vp, so i decided that now i want my money back full refund with no restock fees or anything else. they say okay will start your papers and then it is a 10 to 15 day wait period. now i am furious because they can take my money right then andf now i have to wait even more now to get my money that is bs. i get a phone call offering a discount on the amount i already paid. i turned it down and explained my husband is extremely irate and that was going to work. called the store manager today and told him about everything again and he refused to pay me my money back so now we are going to court and file a lawsuit and sue for full refund plus the interest on the furniture. i think that is fair for having to wait so long for something that they had in stock already.

YES! Same thing happened to me. I bought a book shelf to complete my daughter's bedroom set back in March. Was hoping to get it by my daughter's 5th birthday june 6th, 2009 as part of her birthday present, never got it. I called several times, and went to the store several times, and still they don't know when i would get the furniture. I decided to get my refund back on june 10th. Now aug. 24th, i still don't have my refund. They can take our money immediatly when we pay for it, but to get our refund, it takes months. Are we ever gonna get our refund? They are stealing from us. What the hell did these people do with our money and we still have no furniture? As a single mother of a 5 year old, i could use that money for something else. As i have sent then an e-mail to please refund it so i could use it to buy my daughter's school clothes. No response. I wish i knew all this before even setting foot in that place. I have been experiencing the same thing with Ashley. Bought my furniture with a credit card, which was charged the same day, May 2, never recieved my furniture, havent recieved a refund. Nobody cares, nobody helps. Everyone that works there is completley useless. The Chico, Redding and Roseville was owned by the same person so, DO NOT GIVE ANY OF THEM BUSINESS. Lets all sue!

Oh my God there are tons of people complaining about Ashley's delivery failures. I bought (not received yet) a table and six chairs for $982 on June 23, 2009 and was told that it would come on July 3rd, so I would have it for a party on July 4th.

Guess what? Not only did I not receive anything yet (July 16th), they told me that the PO was not placed - that after I called the store 6 times (daily) and today I went back to talk to the manager. On the contract it states that it would come on 2-3 weeks.

Did I mention that as of last week the store is closing? (Roseville, CA) Eveything is handled though a liquidation company and these guys have no idea about orders, POs or what the status of my order is. They told me to call the Ashley Headquarters at [protected] and talk to Laura Webster ("big shot" general manager of some sort). I left a message...no call back.

I told the store GM that if I don't get me order within a week, I will cancel. At which point he said "it won't happen in a week, but I don't know exactly when it will be because our shipping system is down and has been down for a while". He also said that he can't cancel my order to offer my money back, because "our system shows that we have the product in stock and you will get it".

Ashley took my money (off of the credit card) on June 24 (next day from purchase) and I have nothing. I will give them a week, then I will sue for my money plus interest...it's small claims so I won't need a lawyer, but they better show up to at least make up a lie...

Don't shop with ASHLEY FURNITURE...plz save your nerves!

I am having the same problem - ordered in March 2009 product promised 6-8 weeks no one called me I would check in, It was always two more weeks - finally got ahold of manager Peter Shaw who may I add did not call me back even after I left three messages. He did say at this conversation though that if my furniture still was not in after the eight weeks and I did not want to wait anymore, that I could have a full refund. More time goes by I say forget it! I'm told my money would be disbursed in 10-15 business days a month later im calling them with no phone calls back to me and they keep telling me one more week. I'm ready to sue as well - would like to talk with the Lelacks - and anyone else having problems with Ashley please call me Stacie 262-8957.

I have the same issue! We purchased a set in March of this year and were told the set would be delivered by April 3. 3 months later, after 5 phone calls and 4 visits to the store we were TICKED because the only thing they tell you is "I don't know. when you try to get any info about your purchase and delivery date. We found the SAME set at another furniture store that carries Ashley's Furniture and it was available to take home that day. ? What is going on there? I suspect there is some serious issues with Ashley's and would not be surprised to see them go out of business. We canceled our order and were told it would be 10-15 business days before we received the refund. I am going to raise holy hell if I don't have my refund by the 15th day. How can companies get away with this?

Ashley HomeStore honor warranty

I wish to register a complaint about how wrongly I feel I was treated as a customer.
In February of this year I purchased a king size mattress set from Ashley Furniture Company.
At the time of purchase I was told that if I also purchased a mattress protective cover for $120, I would be eligible for a “comfort guarantee, ” which meant if I was not satisfied with my purchase for any reason I could return it for another of equal or greater value after 90 days and before 120 days.
My wife & I decided we were not satisfied & wanted to return this mattress & get a more expensive one we had looked at in the same store.
Two days ago I returned to the store & was first met by a salesman who claimed to know nothing about this guarantee. He then directed me to a very rude & callous woman who told me that since the Ashley Furniture Company had been recently bought by another parent company this warranty was no longer valid and there was nothing I could do about it and was just stuck with it.
I asked if there was anyone to whom I could complain & she told me to call the Customer Service number.
Today I called the Customer Service Department & again was told quite directly the same information. So now I am stuck with an expensive mattress set that I am very unhappy with.
I understand about bigger companies buying & selling smaller ones but to have no consideration for customers & to not honor warranties & agreements made previously seems rather harsh & not in the best interest of satisfying customers. It seems to me that especially in these difficult economic times it would be in the best interest of any business to strive for exceptional customer relations, especially in a business such as furniture where there is such competition.
I have bought several pieces of furniture at Fingers and at Ashley after the name change & was a very satisfied customer. I have several more pieces I am planning on buying in the near future & was going to also shop for them at Ashley.
However after this extremely upsetting experience at Ashley I will never shop there again.
I will tell everyone I know, & anyone else I can, how terrible I was treated & not to make the mistake of shopping there & subjecting themselves to this sort of lousy service.
It’s unbelievable that some big companies still don’t understand how to cultivate & maintain a loyal customer base in order to remain in business & profit for the long term.
Evidently they are only interested in the short-term bottom line. Perhaps they should ask Circuit City how that works for them.

Ashley HomeStore where is corey baker?

I work for the Rutherford Law Firm in SC and I am currently trying to file a litigation suit against Corey Baker, Ashley Furniture, and Baker Intntl. Group. Does anyone know where he is or how I can serve him. We are working hard in trying to pursue our client's refund for furniture that was never delivered, but cannot find him. If you know someone or have some information as to where and how I can find Corey Baker or an office for Baker International Group (now that all locations are closed in and around Columbia), please contact us at [protected]. If you are also in the same situation as our client, we may be able to assist you in obtaining refunds or delivery if needed. Businesses should not be allowed to skirt around liability when they do not service their customers in instances such as our client's and the ones I've read below. I appreciate any assistance anyone out there may be able to provide in our pursuit for justice.

Ashley HomeStore leather den set (and 2 reclining chairs)

For over 28 months I have been told a bundle of lies from this Hoover, ALabama store--We told the deilvery personnel that something was wrong with one of the leather reclining chairs and they said they cannot take it back oncee we signed for delivery but if we contact the store they will take care of it by replacing it. I fought with this store for 14 months before they told me the store warranty ends 12 months after delivery--they would then send a "repair" man to fix the torn leather, and bent metal interior--all he did was force screw the entire right side of the chair together with long screws--it continues to rip the leather, feels like a bed of rocks, and the mechanism does not work properly. I then focused my attention on the warranty company (I was charged over $400 for this additional warranty) and they said they will only fix the issue one time then that issue is no longer under warranty--I asked them to fix the entire chair by replacing--rather than piecemeal--they laughed--they mailed me some leather skin and some metal parts 11 months ago--neither the warranty company nor the Hoover Alabama store would contact me to have this fixed. As of 5-15-09 I have been in contact with the General Store Manager (JohnnyMartin) and also sent a scathing email to the company--Johnny states the set has been discontinued and now he can only hope to fix it rather than replace it---we'll see...ion the mean time I have spent $14, 432 for all 3 kids rooms to be re-furnished (not at ASHLEY) and also over $7, 392 in other furniture (Not at ASHLEY) and also looking for a complete office suite (~$5, 000)...and yes they were told of this also--I also sent them copies of receipts so they would understand I was not just making this up...I WILL NEVER ALLOW ONE RED CENT TO GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE IN MY REMAINING LIFETIME.

Ashley HomeStore unkept promises, poor customer service

We purchased a dining room table with chairs in early January 2009. It was supposed to arrive within 6-8 weeks. Didn't arrive. We received one phone call telling us that they would call us when they had an arrival date.

At 10 weeks we still had not heard anything and we went back again to the store... they gave us another date and finally we asked that if the item did not arrive by this 'new' arrival date (12 weeks after the original purchase) that our money would be fully refunded. Agreed. We actually gave them THREE extra days and finally went in and canceled the order.

Since we paid with a credit card they would not write us a check, they had to place the purchase amount back on our card. They promised that within 7-10 days we would receive our refund. Today is day 10, no refund. I just called... oh, silly me, it is 7-10 business days.
So, we are actually only on day six now. I asked if we could have a check refund in four days if the refund isn't back in our account. The very quick and final answer was "NO - you will be refunded in the same manner in which you paid." OH, REALLY... well I am quite sure they had our money within a couple of days - probably hours. They have sat on this for FOUR MONTHS NOW. I bet we don't get our money back with interest!

I have heard horror stories from other unfortunate local customers since our little fiasco started with Ashley Furniture, Chico, CA; people waiting for months for furniture and then having 30% of the purchase price withheld from a refund if one is requested.

I want to warn every single person who is capable of reading these words and might consider shopping at Ashley Furniture, Chico, CA ... DO NOT SHOP ASHLEY FURNITURE IN CHICO, CALIFORNIA. If you do, you better walk out of the store with your product the very day you purchase it - or it will be several months... if ever, that you might get to use your new furniture!

We are at week 15 now, no refund, no dining room table and really... I am not holding my breath for four more days, because with the track record of Ashley Furniture, Chico, CA - we will most likely be dealing with this mess for a while. Regrettable. Very, very regrettable.

My credit of $2700 has still not be put back on my card. They also told me 7-10 business days and it has been almost 2 months! And "William" does not return my calls so the offer of help he has given is useless and another one of the many empty promises and lies I have heard. I am having to deal with this through my credit card company and the BBB. Ty of Redding

Ashley furniture stores are the WORST to deal with. The customer service is absolutly terrible. The Roseville, Chico and Redding stores are all owned by the same people, so DO NOT give them any more business. Havent heard of how bad they screwed tons of people? Go to the news web sites, they've done stories. Im out 800 bucks that Im supposedly getting back...we'll see. DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM ANY ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE! ESPECIALLY NORTHERN CALIFORNIA STORES! THEY ARE TERRIBLE.

We regret that you had such an experience with us. In this bad economy all of us are feeling hard hit from our customers to our staff members and families. A lot of people are having to buckle down in these hard times including us. We as a locally owned company have been doing everything we can to expedite all of our back orders. Since this is one of the first times we have had to weather through such a bad economy, yes some errors have been made. These errors have been stressful for a small handful of customers, wich we deeply regret. But it has allowed us to learn how to prevent them in the future. We appreciate your input so that we may grow and better ourselves. However allow me to clarify a few common misunderstandings. After 8 weeks we would not have held you or any customer to the 30% restocking fee. All most all businesses will not refund a credit card payment in check form. If this was possible we would have done so with out hesitation. While Ashley Furniture is a brand name, the store itself is independently owned and operated. That means that shopping at our store encourages the local economy of Chico, CA and our local employees and families. So we are sorry for small handful of customers that have had to weather through this with us. We would just like everyone to remember that, by all of us in the Chico community sticking together and supporting local businesses such as ourselves, we can get through these hard times and better Chico in the process.

If anyone has any question I would be more than happy to answer them or do what I can to help.

Ashley HomeStore do not buy from ashley

I ordered furniture for my living room, bedroom and kitchen. I received a phone call the night before delivery and was told they "forgot" to include the legs for one of the living room end tables. When i called the store to find out when they were going to be delivered i was blown off and told that they would ups them to me. I asked how long it would take to get them it was 2-3 weeks. I asked to speak to a store manager to complain and he said "what's the big deal, it's only 2 inches".
When the furniture came, the headboard had a foot long crack in it, one of the kitchen chairs had a crack, the coffee table had a spot that was "repaired" very poorly and one of the dresser drawers was cracked. Huh? This was supposed to be brand new furniture! I have been getting the run around for a week now and am going to return everything, as they have suggested, without a restock fee since they are getting tired of hearing from me. Do not ever buy furniture from this store. It is garbage.

Wow, that's a bit strong, don't you think? Could you possibly work for the store that sells junk furniture and that is why you are so defensive? Worried about your job? And judging by your use of tough words and excellent grammar it seems this is the only job you can get. What reputible company would hire someone with such a potty mouth?!?!?

Worst furniture ever! I bought a kitchen table which was wood. I told the guy its not going to work for us because if someone spills something it will be ruined and he said oh just get the service plan they will replace table if you ever spill anything. So I get it like an #### and then we spill water and the table warps. So then you have to put a claim in and that takes forever. So they replace your table and then its not covered under warranty anymore. Now I notice the replacement table they gave me is warped and I have to warranty anymore. I will never go back there

Ashley HomeStore living room furniture

We had been looking for furniture for months and had absolutely fell in love with a particular living room set from Ashley Furniture. On March 1st, 2008, we went to Ashley Furniture on Rockford, Illinois and picked out what we wanted. We decided to do a 90-Day same as cash through RAC and we were very pleased at that point. We were given a delivery date for the end of March, 2008. I received a phone call from Ashley's customer service on a Saturday, a week before delivery, to confirm the delivery date. That following Wednesday, I received another call from Ashley's customer service stating that my delivery was being cancelled due to a backorder on my chase lounge and that it would be an additional week. Not a problem. Then, the following Wednesday, I received another phone call post-poning my delivery AGAIN for the same reason! Finally, I received a confirmation phone call on Thursday (the very next day), saying that they would be out to deliver my furniture on Monday. Since I had to work and my husband was out of town, I had my sister here to meet the delivery men. After they were here for about 45 minutes, I received a phone call from my sister saying that they brought my 2 couches, my 2 endtables and my coffee table, but no chase lounge! I told her to keep the delivery guys at my house until I called back. I called Ashley's customer service and asked what was going on. I was told that they realized that morning that the chase lounge still wasn't in, and that they would have to schedule a seperate delivery date. To top it all off, I was told that I would have to pay for the additional delivery. So, I told them I was sending the delivery men back with all of the furniture and that I wanted my money back. I then called my sister and told her to make them put the furniture back in the truck and take it back. About 5 minutes later, I received a phone call from Ashley stating that they would waive my fee for the next delivery if I kept the furniture. JEEZ...THANKS! Needless to say, I had to wait another month for my chase lounge. Finally, I had all my furniture! Unfortunately, the aggravation was not over. After 6 months, we switched our couches around since we were mainly using only one at a time. After about a month, we started noticing nuts and bolts on the floor underneath the bottom of our recliner. Then, the stuffing started riding up from the footrest into the cushion. For 5 months, I was getting the runaround, over the phone and in the store. Ashley was putting the blame on RAC and RAC was putting the blame on Ashley. Bottom line is that there is a one year manufacturers warranty with Ashley on their furniture. I was finally told by the Rockford store location that my furniture was under warranty for 1 year from the delivery date and that I needed to call the customer service line to set up a date and time for someone to come out and look at my furniture. I called customer service and was told that they will not do anything for me! Here we go again...I then decided to go through the store again and to no surprise, I was given the runaround. Finally, I was told that my warranty was only good from the date I came into the store and purchased the furniture...NOT from the delivery date! It seems as if they did everything they could to not have to come out here and would not give me a straight answer until it was too late for me to do anything about it. I now have to pay out of pocket to have this recliner fixed. I will be contacting the BBB as well as WTVO17 news to get the word out there that Ashley is NOT the way to go. I would hate to see someone else go through what we went through. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY AGAIN! I'd rather sit on a cardboard box.

Ashley HomeStore misleading ad.

Well we saw a circular in the paper advertising a leather sofa for $499.00. We went to the Athens GA. Store and also took a check to purchase the item. Needless to say like many other ads that are published, they didn't have any idea about the ad or merchandise. We kinda got the cold shoulder from the sales persons and left unnoticed. There are too many furniture stores needing to sell their products for this kind of experience. Maybe it was just a bad day but we will look elsewhere from now on. Sorry but we are disappointed.

Ashley HomeStore ripp off

We bought three piece leather set (sofa, loveseat and chair). We were offered Boxing weekend prices. After delivery to our home, we have noticed that items were delivered unwrapped and realized that chair was the one at the store as the display item which was offered to us for deep discounted price while making the purchase. We have declined that offer as the chair had scratches and defects in the leather in couple of places. We asked for all 3 new pieces. Even paying the price of new items, returned pieces were delivered to our home. After complaining to the company, we were told that we bought clearance items and received discount because we agreed to buy clearance items. No return no warranty. After investigating receipts we were shown that next to each item there was "O" displayed, which is supposedly their code for clearance items.

Now we have faulty furniture for which we have spent over $4000.00. The company refuses to honor their return policy (48 hours report after delivery) and we are being told lies why we received discount.

The company is fraud.

NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE STORE AT 1000 St. James Street.

Ashley HomeStore steal your money

Plain and simple!...bought couches from Ashley furniture(fingers affiliated company) for 0% interest for a year. Made payments loyaly and found out the hard way. When I looked at my credit report I founded out that they had been returning my checks(paid bill) cause I supposibly had one to many #'s on my billing account. This had been going on since july 11, 2008. till now feb 04 2009. They didn't even have the odasity to let me know via e-mail/mail/ or telephone about this error, insted they just kept on cashing in on returned check fees/late fees. Dont let this happen to you...and if it did, dont speak with the supervisor(Kristen Id # 7117) cause she has piss poor supervisory skills, very unprofesional and rude. She just topped it off making an even worse impact on the company name. Ge money/ge online services Ashley/fingers sucks.

GE money bank wasn't even handling Ashley Furniture's account, Citi was, GE has been great ever since they took over a couple months ago. They changed the date on when my bill was due and i did not pay any mind to it, after realizing the bill was late I called in a frantic, they were very understanding and removed all the late fees, I have no complaints at this time!

I just wanted to post this to say...if you feel you have truly been scammed, do not stop with calling the company that scammed you! Go to the Better Business Bureau and file a complaint against that company...it warns other potential customers which in turn hurts their business. This is how you get results! Don't stop or give up getting a resolution that you, the customer, can live with!

BEST BUY is Worst Buy
I have recent experience with Best Buy. They charged me a late fee of $ 25.00 for NSF. I found out that never tried to makewithdrawal from my account but imposed $25.00 on my account. Dont let this happen to you. Their supervisor are also involved in this scam as he told me that they deposited my check and it was NSF from the bank. A buch of white lie.

I purchased a King size Simmons Mattress in March of 2006 for $1, 200. After 18 months the bed start sagging and develop body imprints of more than 2.5 inches. Called Ashley and they send tech which took over 2 weeks. He showed and looked and agreed it was bad. He also stated that if you get the same mattress replaced, it will happen againg.

Not good, He said I would hear back in couple of days. Two weeks went by and I called back to Ashley and they said I should hear back within the week. Another 2 weeks and I got mad. Call Ashley again and now they said since the law tag was missing that the warranty was void. I said that was unacceptable and wanted to talk to a manager. Lee Carpenter called me and pretty much didn't care and stuck to the same story. Law Tag, we never removed because we don't know what it is. I told Lee, how do we know with 100% that the tag was there or the delivery guys ripped it off. They delivered the bed and put it in place and we have not moved it since. She made me feel like a criminal and that I was lying. Bottom Line, the bed was purchased from Ashely, its defective and they do not want to stand behind their product. I have purhcased over $10, 000 from Ashley and never again. BEWARE DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY, YOU WILL REGRET IT. I AM A EXECUTIVE WITH OVER 500 EMPLOYEES IN CHICAGO AND I WILL LET EVERYONE I KNOW ABOUTH THEIR PRODUCTS AND SERVICE. I GAVE ASHLEY TIME TO RESPONSE BEFORE I POSTED, HOWEVER I NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM THE PRESIDENT OF ASHLEY WHICH I SENT A LETTER VIA FAX TO THEIR CORPORATE OFFICE. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY!

Ashley HomeStore warranty

Since day one we have had problems with our couch. It came in with the sewing coming undone. The first month we had springs popping off the back of one of the recliners, sewing coming undone on the couch and multiple places. Cushions getting flat and becoming bunched up. The backing or stuffing was falling out of all the backs of the seats. Our ottoman drawer was broken and the casters keep breaking. They tried to fix it by screwing screws in the casters but failed. Also in some spots instead of sewing the material they stapled it. It would be like holding 2 pieces of cloth in mid air and stapling them. There is no backing for the staples to go into. We have a bar under the sleeper mattress that is bent and the mattress itself has been used maybe a month total and has holes in it from the springs. They have lied saying our dogs have taken a crap on our couch . They said my wife said our dogs pooped on our couch and I was standing right there. It was a lie. That never happened. Our dogs are potty trained. I did lose my cool with customer service because of this. Then Big Sky Upholstery (a repair company)said it was customer and dog abuse that is why our couch is falling apart. They also said when they were here doing repairs our dogs are trying to chew through the door to get out. Also a lie. I took pictures of our couch and the door to show proof of them lying and to show the problems on our couch Here is the website that the pictures are on. http://spokane.app.bbb.org/complaint/view/27020495/c/we3p1m (Complaint ID#: [protected]) I have emailed Sandra from the triple B with more pics they are not on the website yet.
I have tried with the triple B but Ashley Furniture refuses to go to arbitration

Don't ever buy from Ashley Furnature Home Store. I bought a leather sofa in July 2011 that has already been replaced once due to the leather breaking and cracking and now the second one is doing the same darn thing. Customer service manager Megan is a joke and wants to send a tech out to "fix" the problem. I'm sorry but I don't want it fixed I want my money back! Megan told me I can't have my money back because it's been more than 14 days since I purchased it. Hello it just started happening! You would think Customer Service would be a little better than that I todays economy. When you spend $3000 on furniture you would think it would last a heck of a lot longer than 2 months!

Alex seems to think that because Ashley sells cheap furniture they should also get a pass on misrepresentation and out-and-out lies.

Nobody expects their furniture to last a life-time, but it should last longer than it takes to deliver - which in my case is also over 12 weeks (13 to be exact).

The repairman was out to repair the defects, said he'd order parts and get right back to me with a status update...still waiting to talk to him as he's ALWAYS out of the office.

Alex, you don't always get what you pay for, and less expensive or not, $1200.00 is a significant sum of money for the CRAP products and non-existent service you get from Ashley.

They will NEVER get another penny from me, and if by some chance they do from you...you'll get what you deserve.

Alex doesn't want you to "get the impression that it's not worth shopping there". I don't want to leave any false impressions either.
IT'S NOT WORTH SHOPPING THERE! Unless you like being cheated and lied to.

caveat emptor.

Oh, and Alex, just a note.
You can buy furniture with twice the quality for half the price and none of the BS by shopping at Costco.

Ashley furnitures prices are considerably less than competitors, and yet you expect the same quality. They say you get what you pay for, and it applies here.

We purchased an Ashley Couch and oversized chair a year ago, and they've done their job. They're not fantastic, but they're not aweful either.

I say all of this because I don't want people to get the impression that it's not worth shopping there, just understand you're not buying something that will last you a lifetime.

I purchased furniture from the Ashley furniture company at 3297 Dredge Dr in Helena on March 22nd 2009. My sales contract states that the furniture would be delivered in 6 weeks and the salesman stated that current deliveries were taking 4-5 weeks. I am currently at 8 weeks and have now been told they "guess" another 2 weeks! I have to call the store repeatedly to ask where my furniture is (as no one has bothered to contact me) only to be told 1.) their not sure (?) 2.)that the delivery date I was given was when the furniture would go from their warehouse in Wisconsin to there shipping warehouse somewhere else in the midwest. As of today I will be looking at it POSSIBLY being in my home in 12 or more weeks. The contract covers refund policies which, at this point would due to the time it has taken them, will cost me a few hundred dollars to go somewhere else to get furniture. I have also found that the State of Arizona brought a successful action against them for fraudulent practices (decided in favor of the state) in January 2008 for the same reasons and more that I am inquiring about. I have attempted to contact the company to no avail and cannot get any information from the Helena store.

I have the same issue with my Ashley living room set I purchased only in June 2006. During the first year I had to have the repair guy out to fix a problem with a staple on the back of the sofa where I had cut my finger. Now I have the same problem with my loveseat and a staple coming out and has a sharp edge. the cushions are so flat it feels like you sit on a rail. Of course no waranty left. I will never buy Ashley again.

Ashley HomeStore - ashley furniture sucks - read this

Do not buy ashley furniture... It is basically high style crap. They offer a high style "look" to mass consumers at an affordable price; albeit the "look" does not fool me... It still looks cheap because it is cheap. I grew up in a home filled with ethan allan furniture, purchased in the mid sixties. I believe my father spent around 25k to purchase an...

Ashley HomeStore cost/sale prices

Seven days after purchasing over $2500.00 worth of furniture, this company advertised a sale on the items I bought, but refused to give me the sale price because the furniture had already been delivered two days before the sale began. The salesperson told me that the items I purchased were at their lowest price! Imagine my frustration when I saw the ad.
Another problem is that each Ashley store is individually owned so the corporate office reports they have no control over a specific stores policies!
I will never go to nor recommend Ashley Furniture again because something I buy today may go on sale tomorrow!

I purchased two recliner chairs from an Ashley furniture store in Ft. Worth, Texas. They gave my wife a "deal" over the telephone but it turned out to be a gimmick. As far as I am concerned, they cannot be trusted. Now I regret ever buying anything from them. Their sales people are rude and do not do what they say. For those who buy from them, do so carefully. I will take my business elsewhere.

We too were duped by Ashley Furniture! We purchased 2-1/2 rooms worth of furniture and were not eligible for the current promotion of a $200 gas card because we financed it. Our delivery was to arrive in 3 weeks, but due to high gas prices they were only sending out full trucks from their warehouse. It took two months to get all of our purchase delivered, which came in three separate deliveries. The last two deliveries were both late and outside of the delivery window offered, so we missed paid work time for nothing! Before we received the last delivery, they had an ad where you could get a $200 dollar gas card, a rebate, and finace the purchase. We were livid! We spent $2000 more than what the ad required and were not eligible for anything.

After repeated calls to Ashley's, many un-returned calls, a face to face argument with the "I could care less attitude" store manager, we finally found someone who was helpful. They gave us several things to try and compensate for all of the drama, but honestly, it still was not enough to make up for all of the hassles and the rude treatment we received after such a large purchase. I love their furniture styles and variety, but will never shop there again because of how they treat their customers. Every time I drive by one of their stores or see their commercials on TV, the whole experience comes rushing back into my head and I get angry all over again.

It is too bad that this site does not reflect more of the complaints that I have heard in our area about Ashley's. If you check out the Better Business Burea's website, you will see we are not alone in our feelings about Ashley Funiture Home Store.
