Allivet Review: Poor Customer Service and Communication
So, I sent my Vet's written order to Allivet via the good ol' US Postal Service. They gave me a Customer # and an Order #, which was all good. But then, a few days later, I hit up their "Live Chat" to check on my order and was told they needed an order from the Vet to fill it. I was like, "Uh, hello? You already have it, it was in the mail I sent you!" I gave them my Cust and Order #'s and they finally realized they had it and charged me for it. I was about to ask when it was gonna ship, but then the Chat Rep just ended the chat and I couldn't get back in. Rude much?
So, I tried again today and got another Live Chat Rep. This time, they told me they couldn't fill my order without a written order from the Vet. I was like, "Bruh, we already went through this!" But this Rep, Holly, was actually kinda nice and offered to cancel my order. I was like, "Fine, but I want my money back and my Vet's order mailed back to me so I can get the med somewhere else." Holly said they would do that as soon as they got it in the mail.
Honestly, this whole thing was a hot mess. The only good thing was that Holly didn't hang up on me like the first Chat Rep did. But seriously, if you've had a good experience with Allivet, count your lucky stars. I can't recommend them based on my experience. Yeah, their prices are good, but their Customer Service needs some serious work. My poor pet needs that med and I can't wait around for them to get their act together.
Poor Customer Service Experience with Allivet for Senior Dog's Meds
So, I just ordered some meds for my senior dog from Allivet. I picked the 3-4 day shipping option because my dog was running low on her meds. But, guess what? More than a week went by and I still hadn't received my purchase. I called and talked to a representative named Rosie. I asked her why I hadn't received my purchase and she said one item was on back order so they have to ship it all together. I asked why they wouldn't let me know why I wasn't receiving the other medicine that I HAD TO HAVE. She didn't even say sorry and said that it was standard operation. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she got a Yomi, a lead who was on duty on the phone. I thought she was taking care of my situation by getting medicine sent to me with complimentary shipping (which I had to ask for) 2 day delivery since I now had 2 days left of my senior dog's pain medicine. She said I would receive a confirmation email right away. Three days later NOTHING... no email, no medicine. When I called back, I spoke with Daniella who gave excellent customer service. She got the same Lead person back on the phone. Yomi's attitude was terrible and she never once said she was sorry that this happened. She just blamed the shipping area and when I said I never got the confirmation email she just said. YEAH. I had to once again ask for special shipping and I did get my medicine after that. I usually have a great experience with just ordering online and receiving my purchase without having to talk to a representative. If one person had given me poor customer service, I would think it was just a rare thing but I got 2 people who gave me poor customer service in one day. Thank you to Daniella who clearly knows how to treat customers.
Terrible Experience with Allivet: Wrong Order, Delayed Delivery, and Incompetent Customer Service
I ain't never gonna buy from Allivet again! They held up my order for five whole days 'cause they were waitin' on some dog food to come in. But I ordered special CAT food for my poor kitty who's got kidney failure. And they didn't even send her medicine that I ordered 'cause I had a single order. So I had to wait for a single delivery. I placed the order on 3/29/17. And they finally sent it on 4/03/17, six days after I ordered it. But guess what? They sent me DOG food instead of the CAT food on the sixth of April. And my poor cat had been without her medicine for 2 days. I called 'em up to get the cat food sent, and they said they'd two-day ship it. But it took 'em until the tenth to finally get it to me. And they were supposed to send a return label for the dog food in the box. But guess what? NO LABEL. So I called 'em up again and asked where the label was. The person I spoke with said she'd send me one and wanted my E-mail address. But I told her not to send it by e-mail 'cause I had no way of printing it out. She said she just needed my e-mail address to send me verification that she was sending the label. The next morning I opened the E-mail from her and there was the attachment with the label. But that place has the most incompetent people I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. So I called 'em up again and told the person the whole story and asked for a physical label to be sent to the house. I told 'em if I hadn't received it in a week, I would dispose of the dog food and they better not charge me for it. Or my attorney would be handling this fiasco from then on. So take my advice and buy elsewhere!

Disappointed with Allivet's Pricing and Customer Service
I've been a loyal customer of Allivet for quite some time now, but my recent experience has left me feeling disappointed. I ordered 200 pills for 21 cents each, which should have come out to $42. However, when I received my invoice, the total was $44.00. I was confused as to why there were additional charges, especially since I didn't add anything extra to my order.
To make matters worse, I was also charged for freight, which turned out to be just the regular postal service. I mean, come on, it's just an envelope in the mail called delivery. And to add insult to injury, taxes were taken from this strange total plus the freight charge. I don't think it's fair to take taxes from the delivery charge, but that's just my opinion.
When I looked at my previous orders, I noticed that they add the autoship discount to the subtotal and then subtract it, claiming that I received a discount. At least before, they didn't tax the medications prices with the so-called freight charge. But now, they do, and it all seems very sketchy to me. It's like they're trying to make a profit by adding an extra 5-10-15 bucks to each medication order.
I called customer service to inquire about the additional charges, but the guy who answered the phone just looked at the math and hung up on me. I called again, and this time, a girl answered. She also looked at the numbers and realized that the math was wrong. She went to their accounting department and came back in 10 minutes, telling me that they were very busy and that someone would contact me later. But that never happened.
I don't mind paying a few extra dollars, but this changing method of pricing from purchase to purchase is making me think that the advertised price of 21 cents per pill is actually 27 cents. There are other competitors on the market who offer free delivery and charge less. All in all, I'm not sure if I'll be ordering from Allivet again.
Poorly Packaged Insulin from Allivet: A Disappointing Experience for My Cat's Health
I recently ordered a bottle of insulin for my beloved cat from Allivet, an online pet medication source. It was my first time ordering pet meds online, so I was a bit nervous. However, Allivet sent me notifications that the insulin had shipped and even provided an expected delivery date. I was relieved to know that my cat's medication was on its way.
Unfortunately, when the expected delivery date came and went, I became concerned. I called the delivery carrier and provided the tracking number, but they indicated that the package was not in their possession whatsoever! I was frustrated and worried about my cat's health, so I called Allivet and spoke to multiple reps. However, they all lied and said that the insulin had shipped, despite the fact that I told them the carrier confirmed the label had been generated but the package was not in their possession.
Allivet wouldn't do anything and told me to call back the next day if it wasn't delivered. I was upset because it was impossible for a carrier to deliver something Allivet had not transferred to them. However, I did call the next day when it was not delivered, and they sent another order out without charging me again. I was grateful for their quick response, but unfortunately, the insulin was poorly packaged.
I was out of insulin for my cat, so I still tried it. After 2 doses, my cat was sick, and his symptoms returned that he had prior to being diagnosed. I took the bottle to my vet, and he verified that the insulin was compromised because it had not been securely packed and bounced around freely in the box during shipping, destroying the crystals that make insulin work.
It was a waste of 100 bucks, and I still had to buy a new bottle at the vet. Once I started the new bottle of insulin from my vet, my cat improved dramatically. I was disappointed with Allivet's service and the quality of their packaging. They may do fine with medications such as pills or ointments, but I strongly advise not to buy delicate insulin from them!
Overall, I will never order from Allivet again since they lied over and over about the first order shipping when it had not and then poorly packaged delicate insulin, which was useless to me. It was a frustrating experience, and I hope that they improve their service and packaging for the sake of their customers and their pets.
Allivet's Terrible Customer Service and Unethical Practices - Beware!
On the 29th of June, 2022, I had a terrible experience with Allivet. They sent me the wrong prescription, Simparica, instead of the correct one, Simparica Trio. I tried to contact them through numerous emails and two phone calls, but they refused to take responsibility for their mistake and refused to correct it. They even charged me $91.05 for their mistake, which was not fair at all. I never ordered plain Simparica, and my vet confirmed that the prescription was for Simparica Trio. When I spoke to a customer service representative and pointed out that the order history stated "Simparica Trio," they changed it to "Simparica" only. This was unbelievable! They changed the information in my account to cover up their mistake. I have never purchased plain Simparica, and all my order history shows only Simparica Trio.
To make matters worse, they told me that it was past the 30-day return policy, and there was nothing they could do. I never opened the shipment when it arrived because I expected the order to be filled correctly. It is not my responsibility to check the company's accuracy in filling prescriptions. Allivet's mistake cost me time and money, and they refused to acknowledge it. This is the second time they have sent me the wrong prescription, and they are not willing to provide quality customer care or service. Instead, they make excuses and deny their mistakes.
It would have been cheaper for Allivet to refund my $91.05 to correct their mistake, rather than paying inept customer service reps to deny the company's error. I will no longer do business with unethical companies such as Allivet. Beware!
Allivet Auto Ship Program: Discounts and Free Shipping Not Honored, Poor Customer Service
I've been using Allivet for 14 months to order K-CIT-V Potassium Citrate for my dog. The product itself has been great, but I've had a lot of problems with Allivet. I signed up for their Auto Ship program, which is supposed to give me a 5% discount on my orders and free shipping for orders over $49.00. However, in my last two orders, they charged me for shipping even though my order was over $49.00. I think they applied the discount before the free shipping, which meant my order was 57 cents below the qualifying amount. When I called to complain, they said they would apply the discount to my next order instead of refunding my credit card. But when I placed my next order, they did the same thing and didn't give me the credit from the last time.
To make matters worse, I have a quantity of 3 K-CIT-V on Auto Ship, but they only sent me 1 bottle and still charged me for 3 bottles plus shipping. They also didn't apply the credit from the last time. I waited until 2 days after Christmas to contact them about the situation, just to be sure they weren't sent in a separate package. When I called, I was on hold for 15 minutes before they picked up my call. But the moment they answered, their line disconnected, not mine. I immediately redialed, but it went straight to voicemail saying they were closed for the day, even though there were still 7 minutes left before their 7pm (EST) closing time.
I started using Allivet because their prices are $1.90 cheaper than VET RX, but the time I've spent trying to correct their mistakes isn't worth the cost savings. I won't be ordering from them anymore unless they clean up their act.
Allivet Review: Terrible Experience with Shipping and Customer Service
So, I just placed my first order with Allivet and let me tell you, it was a real doozy. I live up in Canada and I was really concerned about how they were going to get my vaccines to me in good condition. I asked them several times and they kept ASSURING me that everything would be fine and that it could take up to 10 days. They even told me about their marvelous packaging system. Well, three days later I called to ask why my order hadn't been shipped yet and they told me they were out of something. But then they said they weren't and it was actually the other thing. And then they said they saw it in the fridge. It was a real mess. They finally told me they would ship it the next day, but then they called back and said it was actually already shipped that day.
At that point, I was pretty frustrated and I told them I was having a really bad first experience with them. They apologized profusely and promised to make it right. But when my order finally arrived 8 days later, it was in a box that was 3-4 times the size it needed to be and there were only 3 tiny ice packs in there. They were all melted and the vaccines were warm to the touch. I had spent $310 on those vaccines and now they were unusable.
I called Allivet and they strung me along for 5 days, promising to call me back and talk to their supervisors. But every time I called, they had a new excuse. Finally, they told me they were going to refund my money. But a couple hours later, they called me back and told me they weren't liable and they weren't going to do anything about it. They basically said "too bad, so sad."
I was so angry. They sell vaccines to people who live far away and they ASSURE you that they will arrive cold. But then they just throw them in a huge box with a couple of ice packs and send them off. And when they arrive ruined, they don't take any responsibility for it. They're liars and they don't return phone calls. Nobody knows what's going on over there.
Eventually, they even slammed the phone down in my ear. And to make matters worse, my friend who recommended them to me is in the same position. She still hasn't even received her order, two weeks later! And Allivet is going to do nothing for her either.
I have all the emails to prove it. So, let me tell you, do NOT buy from this company. I had to get my money back from VISA and it took a couple of months. Allivet had no interest in doing anything about it and basically communicated that it was my problem because of the border. But they knew full well where I lived when they took my money. It was a real nightmare.
Terrible Experience with Allivet: Delayed Shipping, Out of Stock Items, and Compromised Product
I recently had a terrible experience with Allivet and I will never be doing business with them again. I ordered some ointment for my dog's eyes and some tablets for nausea. I paid $6.95 for Priority Shipping, which was my only option, and was supposed to receive my order within 48 hours. However, my order did not arrive on time and I had to call Allivet to find out what was going on. They told me that my order would ship out that day, but it took two more days for me to receive an email saying that some of my items were out of stock and that they were holding my order until they were back in stock.
When I called to find out what was going on, they told me that the nausea tablets were out of stock and that they could ship the eye ointment immediately. I asked for a tracking number the next day, but they had not shipped the eye ointment because the customer service representative did not know that they had to cancel the nausea medication in order to release the eye ointment. This would have generated two separate orders, both costing $6.95 to ship, which I found unacceptable. I had already been waiting for over two weeks at this point.
Finally, I received a tracking number for the eye ointment, but when it arrived, the box flap was open and the cap on the tube was unsealed. The ointment was leaking from the tube and it was a different manufacturer than the one I had ordered. The directions on the ointment were for people, not for dogs, which was concerning since it was a sterile ointment that could not be used on my dog. I spoke to my pharmacist and she advised me to return it because the sterile eye ointment had been compromised.
I have made several phone calls and sent emails to Allivet asking for a return authorization and my money back, but I have not heard back from them at all. This is a ridiculous company and I would not recommend shopping here. Be aware and avoid this company at all costs.
Disappointing Customer Service and Lack of Empathy from Allivet
I've been using Allivet for my dog's prescriptions and supplements for a few years now, and I gotta say, things were pretty good. But then, something happened that really tested my faith in this company. My sweet Sally passed away suddenly, just a week after I had ordered all her new medications through Allivet. And wouldn't you know it, the medication arrived on the very day she died. I was devastated, and when I called in to inquire about a return, the customer service I received was just plain cold.
Now, I get it. Allivet is a business, and they're not required to be sensitive to their customers' personal lives. But come on, a little empathy goes a long way. The rep I spoke to didn't even say "I'm sorry for your loss." It's not like that would have been hard to say, right? Instead, she told me that they wouldn't refund any money for the prescriptions I ordered, even though they were still sitting in the box, untouched. And for the supplements, they would give me a refund minus a 15% restocking fee. So basically, I was out over half the money I spent.
But that's not even the worst part. Shortly after the call, I received an email from Allivet that said, and I quote, "Good news for you, Sad news for us!" They were "sad" that I was returning the item I had ordered from them. Are you kidding me? I know it was probably an automatic email, but still. Show a little sensitivity, people.
All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with Allivet. I mean, I get that they're trying to make money, but at what cost? I'd rather pay a little extra and get my medications from my vet, who actually cares about me and my pets. I won't be using Allivet again, and I suggest you think twice before doing so yourself.
Temptations hairball control treats for cats
I have waited almost 10 days for my order for it to never show up. I called the company this morning and they told me they were out of stock? like really? Why did I not receive an email about this or a phone call. You have all my info. And Now I have to wait to 3 to 5 days just to get my money back for your mistake?
I have never dealt with a company like this before. Should be reported to the better business bureau for at least not letting me know and keeping my money. If I hadn't called I wouldn't have known. Is this the way you run your company? and yes i am upset over this, should have never happened.

My dog is on heart medication that can be life threatening if not received. The Allivet pharmacy would know the urgency by just by looking at the order. They have a 6 month subscription on file. I have placed 3 orders. Each time after 4 or more days the meds were still not being shipped. I called each time. It is easy to get someone on the phone. They are very helpful and professional and so far the meds have been shipped same day. WHY DO I HAVE TO MANAGE THEM?

Since posting this a few minutes ago, Allivet has contacted me by phone twice to apologize. They are going to ship my dogs heart medication over night at no cost. This has happened 3 times out of 3 orders …. so we will see!

Unreliable shipping and out of stock on auto ship medications. Have been on auto ship for galliprant for my bully for several months. The RX is shipped every two weeks. Of course the week that I had no way to get to my vet I first received an email with the receipt for the order then the charge from account. 6 hours later received the email that my rx was out of stock. This is very convenient since he's dependent on this pain medication. I hate this company. They are unreliable and not prepared for business.

No matter what kind of an issue I had, they never were helpful. All of their advice is useless. Moreover, it's very hard to get in touch. The line is always busy all day and night long. And I guess, they are aware of this and not going to fix it.
Dealing with them is a complete mess and I want to be excluded from this.

On 10/06/17 I called to place my order-it was charged immediately. Initially I was given a higher price than was on website. CSR wanted me to email screenshot which I found ridiculous-I asked for supervisor and after brief hold CSR said we will honor your price. I had a written RX from vet but was told it could only be mailed, not faxed or emailed. They said they would call vet. On 10/7 I checked with Allivet and they said vet had not responded. I called 10/8 and vet said they had faxed 10/7 but would fax again. On 10/10 I looked on website and it had RX pending. I called and after 15 min hold spoke to CSR would said fax was received 10/9 around 3pm and was sent to pharmacy 10/10 and would take 24-48 hrs to fill. I thought this to be unacceptable and asked to speak to supervisor who after 10 minutes of my saying that service was unacceptable especially since I was paying for 2 day delivery she hung up. I called back and after 10-15 minute hold I asked to speak to another supervisor and was told only original one was available. I asked CSR to have someone else call me-as of 10/13 I have heard nothing. she did say order would be filled and shipped that day 10/11. It was not shipped until 10/12 and is now scheduled for delivery 10/16. This is my last order with Allivet.

guys, it's ridiculous. It would be funny if it wasn't so sad. I spent over one month trying to contact them. Did they all die or what? Nobody answers the phone, emails. Nothing. Called them 100 times, heard scripted recordings and then they hang up. There are so many ways of contacting them and I tried all of them, nothing has helped. What the heck is this? It's been 2 months and I got only one answer via electronic mail providing absolutely useless information that had nothing to do with my issue. I gave up, people.

I placed my first order two weeks ago with Allivet and the order has still not been processed. I was supposed to get the medications for my puppy within 5-10 business days. I contacted them via email and their support service ticket system several times - still no answer from them. Today, I finally got a hold on them via Live Chat. After I explained my situation, I magically received an email from Allivet saying my vet was not providing the prescription... While on the chat, I called my vet clinic and they never heard from Allivet. When I asked about an update on my order I still did not get any answer from Allivet. I asked for the name and contact of the supervisor but they refused... As of now, I still don't know what is happening. Also no compensation or expedited shipping was offered by the rep after not handling this issue. I am extremely disappointed and unhappy about the lack of customer service at Allivet. They can not be trusted. Medications are essentials to the health of animals. This is a serious matter.
Very slow delivery
I bought something from Allivet and I am very disappointed that I have to wait so long! Their delivery service is extremely slow and I have no idea how much longer will it take. I contacted Allivet many times and they claimed that my order was shipped and even gave me a shipping confirmation.
Their rep said that they didn't had a tracking number so they were not able to tell anything. I waited patiently but the whole thing is taking way too long!
I hope I'll be able to get a refund, and after I get my money back I'll take my business elsewhere! Don't deal with Allivet!

I have called several times to this company and customer services Monica #113 said that allivet does not try to fix issues with customers when the company send out orders filled and rally not. 10 days later no Meds and so called mailed out priority hmm Lie. Customer service very generic with info they provide. Rude.
