Recieved a letter in the mail from a collection agency which is being run out of a house in Carson City NV. The letter states that I have charge that is in collections for somthing, someone called Pure Garcinia. I have attempted to call this shady operation but not to my surprise, there is no one who answers the phone. Would be curious to hear from others who may have recieved a similar letter as I will be pursuing legal action to it's fullest including making a trip to his little yellow house and dragging him out into the street bu his ears.

One more thing, Sigh... I submitted a complaint with the US Postal Service for Mail Fraud and recommend each of you receiving these letters do the same. I supplied this website on both reports for additional victims. We may have been smart enough not to fall for this game but I am sure not all were so lucky and the more information we can supply to the US Postal Service and the FBI the better chance they have of catching these creeps.
Here are the websites I used:
https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/
http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
/link removed/

Please note the address on the envelope is
311 W Third St. Carson City, NV 89703
and the address to send the payments to is
PO Box 4133 Woburn, MA [protected]
and the Postage Mark is
Paid in Tampa, FL

UPDATE!
MUST READ AND FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR THOSE WHO RECIEVED COLLECTION REQUEST FROM ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY - - - -
If you have not already contacted them, keep your letter and do so. Entertainment Weekly Customer Service Number: [protected].
They had me faxed a copy of the letter to them. I also faxed a copy of the IC3 report I filed.

I strongly urge, if your letter is for a long standing, well known magazine . . . CALL THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE NUMBER! They will probably have you fax a copy of the letter as well.

If there are enough big companies going after these people . . . . . . . . . . .

Oh and my pic did not upload, not sure why.

I got a letter yesterday in the mail from collect pros stating that I owe $332.50 for Entertainment Weekly. I have NEVER received this magazine in my life. I did call the 800 number provided and got a recording before I realized it was a scam. It stated to select "3" to speak to a rep but kept cycling back to the same message. I pressed "3" three times and then hung up and search on the net and found that this is a scam. I am going to try to contact Entertainment Weekly and the FBI. I am hoping that they will do something since these people are getting more brazen. Within a couple of months it seems they have gone from asking for $3X.XX to well over $3XX.XX almost $400. I have included a photo of the letter with my information whited out in Paint. I did not think about this until after I had tried calling [protected] but as good as the letter may appear at first glance, there are things that make this letter an obvious fake. Good Luck! Hopefully now that they have moved into larger amounts, the FBI will get these guys.

I also received a letter from Collect Pros stating that i owed $240.05 for an Entertainment Weekly Magazine. I never subscribed to it so I decided to investigate on my own instead of paying for it right away. I used customer service and they couldn't even find an account with my information. They told me Collect Pros is a fraud agency. I'm just going to ignore the fee i received.

I just received a letter from Collect Pros saying that I owe $332.50 for my subscription to Entertainment Weekly Magazine. The letter states that the balance is 30 days overdue. When I call the number on the letter, I just keep getting a recording. When I press the option to talk to someone I just keep getting the same recording saying I can pay my bill online, by phone or by mail. I cannot get to a human being! I did get in the recording that if I put in www.collectpros.com/dispute that I would be able to file the dispute online, however; when I do this I get a message that says my account information was verified and that they have an audio recording of me agreeing to the terms. I would NEVER agree to pay that kind of money for a magazine that is of no interest to me! Legally, they have to produce the audio recording (which they don't have) at my request. This is a total scam!
Here is the information for the dispute site: Note that the purchase date says 12-14-14, but according to the letter I am only 30 days overdue!
Amount Due: $332.50
Purchased Date: 12-14-2014
Debt Validation: Terms and Conditions of your Original Purchase - The Terms and Conditions of this purchase are verified and include an audio recording of the customer agreeing to the terms and conditions of purchase.

We look forward to working with you to resolve this debt promptly and professionally. For your convenience you can make a secure payment online today by using the following pay now button. Alternatively, you can mail in a payment using the payment coupon received in your notice by mail. Please be advised that there may be consequences for non-payment of a legitimate debt.

Collect pros is a scam. I reported them to USPIS as it is also a form of mail fraud. If enough people report it, they will have to investigate it. So, please, everyone who was scammed, report it. If its not reported enough, it doesn't get investigated. I also received the letter requiring payment of 365.75 for Entertainment weekly magazine. I never order nor received this magazine. I then went to collectpros.com/dispute/ and filed a dispute there telling them I reported them to USPIS. I then received a confirmation of dispute filed and that I owe nothing.
Beware consumers. Be smart!

And I got my "collection notice" in the mail today as well for the $365.75 Entertainment Weekly magazine that I've never gotten or ordered. I really hope there are people out there who don't fall for this scam. I'd like them to pay me that for the stress of opening their junk mail! Sounds like some people need some serious jail time for this bull!

I also got a bill in the mail for magazines that I never ordered for Entertainment Weekly, my bill was for $365.75 we all need to report this to the Better Business Beauro (sorry don't know correct spell OR SOME PROPER AUTHORITIES ) but, anyone who has received a letter from them we all need to put a stop to this, cause imaging an elderly person getting one of these letters & feels lime they have to pay the bill & they actually do that would be really sad, I am also going to post a warning onto Facebook (we all should post it to spread this warning faster) about this so that word can spread about this scam, we all work to hard for our money to just hand it over to some idiot scammer, & yeah, when you call the phone number, there is no one to take your call the recording just tells you to press this press that to "pay your bill" if you think that I am just gonna sit here & take that, you are "dead wrong", so let's all band together & spread our ""warning" to all others so we can put a stop to these SCAMMERS! & just one more thing, who is dumb enough to buy Entertainment Magazine for $365.75 yer' killin' me & oh yes I am reporting this, & so should all of you who also recieved a letter from these people(savages)

Got the same bill saying I owe over $300 for Entertainment Weekly. I've NEVER bought that magazine at a news stand yet alone subscribed for it! Little do they know my work experience, I know WAY more than them with the FDCPA and I'm going at this company both BOTH barrels loaded! By the time I'm done with them, they'll be out of business!

I just got a letter from them myself for 299.95 for US WEEKLY. I looked them up online and it says I purchased a subscription through the phone with a company called 'LEVY 9 MAGAZINE CONSULTING.' but when I looked up the company Levy 9 all I found was Levy 9 Car Consulting. This is what it says on the BBB for Collect Pros:

The website domains collectpros.com and gscmcollections.com are registered to Santrinico Enterprises Ltd. in Larnaca, Cyprus. The Republic of Cyprus is an island country in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea - See more at: http://www.bbb.org/reno/business-reviews/collection-agencies/collect-pros-in-carson-city-nv-90017305#sthash.nRExl3St.dpuf

Since I couldn't find anything on Levy 9 Magazine Consulting I decided to all US Weekly's customer service and they told me that tis company is a SCAM. Apparently they are aware that Collector Pros is sending notices out in their name and they assured me that I have no pending debt with this magazine. Also they asked me to forward them a copy of the letter I got int he mail because they are currently having legal investigate the company.

So anyone who gets a letter saying you owe for US WEEKLY magazine send them an email at usweekly@customersvc.com with a scanned copy of the letter you received and let them know what's going on. Also I went to the CP website and disputed the charge which led to a page saying they would ot pursue the debt any longer. I guess now it's time to play the waiting game and see what happens.

I have had the same experience with them 2 times now! After the first time I had to change my phone number because they were so nasty and harassing. Today I received a bill for a magazine that I've never subscribed to asking for a large amount of money.
Obviously this company is fraudulent. I believe the best thing to do now is to report them to the Better Business Bureau in their state, as well as to the Attorney General, I'm sure they'd love to hear about this fraudulent company conducting business!

I too have gotten a pink letter from this Collect Pros ###. They say I owe $365 for a damn magazine subscription from Entertainment Weekly. Why the hell would I pay that much money for something I can find on the Internet. I checked my credit report and nothing was on there about that.
I completely agree with taking legal action against these people, they are trying to rip of hundreds if not thousands of people. Something needs to be done, this is ridiculous!

I received a letter yesterday (Saturday before a holiday weekend) stating I owed $365.75 for ordering Entertainment Weekly on 10/4/14 according to the information on their website. I used the reference number they had on their notice to find this information.. I've never ordered or received that magazine. I am a retired widow, have a FICO score of 813 and don't need my credit destroyed after all these yrs. The letter came from Carson City NV, but the insert had a detachment to send my check to a P O Box in Woburn MA. Notice was dated May 20th and said I had 30 days to pay. I also tried calling the number listed, but got a recording.. Oh yes, it says for "your" convenience you can make a secure payment online at their website which means they would then have your credit card or bank acct information.

I got a letter in the mail from them yesterday claiming that I owe them $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly Magazine's. I didn't even get all of the magazines from my trial. They have to be out of their everlasting mind if they would ever think that I would pay that much for a few magazines, let alone 1 TRIAL subscription when I could get them cheaper at the store. The number they have on my letter is different from those. It's: [protected] & the address is P.O. Box 4133.

I received a letter today (5/23/15) stating that I owe $274.05 for Entertainment Weekly Magazine, I have never ordered this magazine. I am truly grateful for finding this site, and unfortunately there are more innocent people being subjected to such a horrible fraud. Just wondering if there are any federal or state agencies that could be contacted seeing that this SCAM seems to be going to many people in different places. I will be contacting my state Attorney Generals office, these people need to be stopped, good grief find a legal hobby.

Well I am now a member of this obviously growing group. Today I received the letter, like the others for $365.75 for Entertainment Weekly, which I never subscribed to, however it does come here. I don't know why, but I am not paying for it no matter who bills me. I don't know how this Collect Pro outfit got my name. I typed up a snippy little letter to them, but I may just save it for later and ignore this initial notice and see what happens. I may call the local BBB Tuesday and ask them who I should report this crap to. They seem to like that $365.75 figure though. We all owe that same amount for magazines, amazing!

I received a letter from collect pros stating that I owe a bill for US Weekly Magazine for $332.50. I have never ordered this magazine nor have I ever received one. Anyway I tried to call and dispute the validity of this charge. Of course you could not talk to a person. It gives you the option to talk to a customer service rep, but guess what after 10 minutes of waiting on the phone I decided that this was a scam . Anyway I am not sending anyone anything that I know I don't owe them. Much less an absurd amount for a magazine that I wouldn't purchase. This makes me furious. Why don't these crooks do something else besides stealing from hard working people.

I recieved a letter in the mail yesterday from them in the amount of $365.75! For Entertainment Weekly magazine! I don't even read magazines. I went on BBB website and they are listed as a fraud company. I contacted the phone number on the letter. After a 20 minute wait, I got someone named "Victoria" on the phone. She was of no help. I asked to speak to a supervisor. She went on to lie and say that there were not any. Then when I threatened her with the BBB she said they were all in a conference. I then contacted Entertainment Weekly who went on to let me know that Collect Pros is a scam! They have been using their name to try to get people to send payments to them. She asked for me to fax in a copy of the letter I recieved to their corporate office and they are taking action with their legal department. Anyone who recieves a letter from them, I suggest contacting the company directly that they are claining you owe money to. I feel bad for the people who fal for the scam.
