Checked my wife in for a simple procedure. They called us into a reception office and in the process told me it was an 850.00 copay. I knew that it wasn’t true so I called my insurance company Blue Cross in front of the clerk. The insurance company representative immediately informed my that my copay was 100.00 max and that what they do by packing that fee should be illegal but sadly is not. Apparently most people under pressure just pay it and the hospital profits from it.
The clerk actually smiled when the insurance company called bs on her. She thought it was amusing. Surely a DEI hire.
WILL NEVER TRUST CLEVELAND CLINIC IN FLORIDA AGAIN!

Recommendation: Go somewhere else. If you can’t call your insurance company upfront and get the facts or these thieves will rip you off.
