Poor Citroën C3 paintwork. The vehicle, which is less than eight years old, has suffered widespread fading, peeling on the red roof and in one area has completely detached.
The vehicle has not been exposed to extreme weather or sun exposure and has been well maintained. It has been professionally washed and has not been exposed to excessive bird droppings or scratches.
The dealer didn't want to know said known issue is out of warranty but to contact Citroen who also didn't want to know, so I won't be buying Citroen again.
The car’s paintwork has failed prematurely despite proper maintenance. A car’s paintwork should last over eight years with appropriate care. Although this is outside the warranty period, the fault is due to poor manufacture. The paintwork has not been applied to a satisfactory standard is not fit for purpose and has not lasted a reasonable length of time. I should not have to pay for the repair myself. Citroën should either cover the cost of a respray or arrange for a repair through their approved body shop.
Recommendation: Don't buy Citroen
