I applied to Citiside Properties, but they denied me because of my rental history. I told them that I don't have any negative marks on my credit or rental history because I check my credit regularly. They said I was denied for rental, but they falsely advertised on a low-income website to collect application fees from low-income individuals. It seems like they already had an approved application but were still accepting applications for $70. I just want my money back.

Citiside propertys leased an apartment as offsite campus housing at Georgia Institute of Tech to my son. The address of the property was: 1059 Terrell St., NW Unit A-4, Atlanta, GA 30318. On arriving at the property on night of the move-in date we found the place to be uninhabitable, with construction material strewn all over the place and the room full of debris. We cancelled the contract with Citiside (Marlon), and asked for a refund of the contract money. It has been more than a month, and Citiside is yet to send us the check. Please help us get this resolved quickly. Thanks.

On 09/07/22 I called Citiside about mold in the unit and that it was all over my furniture. I recently just moved here at the end of May. I believe that the mold was here before I moved in. The house is a duplex unit and my neighbor told me that they've been dealing with the mold for two years. I can't deal with this mold, I have a health issue. They sent one of their workers out here, he took pictures and so did I, he confirmed it was mold. He checked the air conditioner filter and changed it. He left saying that I would be hearing from someone that will treat the mold. They sent someone to clean the air conditioner vents, and they left a humidifier. But they never sent anyone to treat the mold and mold can make you sick. I've been calling them and they've been giving me the runaround. They are hard to get in touch with, I've called, I've emailed, no response. And I'm still living in this house with mold. Unsatisfied Customer Valencia Love.

I applied for a property to rent at ***. I talked to a few reps who said I was approved verbally. Then I got a call saying I was denied. I was confused, so I called back. I asked a guy about my application status, and he said I've been approved since yesterday. I asked if he was sure, and he said yes, looking at it right now. I told him I just got a call saying I wasn't approved, and he said, "I'm looking at it right now, you've been approved since 2/14/22. Only one person can be approved, so you're good to go." I thanked him and hung up. I don't know what's up with this company, but it's unfair. I'm getting different answers from different people who work for the same company. I called other properties and told them to cancel my application because I was approved for this property at ***. Now I might end up homeless because I have to move out this Friday, and I can't extend my current lease since someone else signed for this unit. I called the other properties I was approved for and asked them to withdraw my application once I found out I was approved. It's not right that they gave me all this wrong info. All they can say is sorry. I really wanted that property, and I think something fishy is going on that they're not telling me. They record all the calls, so I want them to check and investigate this situation they put me in.

This company took over our older, working-class, non-white duplex community like thieves in the night. A representative from management came on New Year's Eve and left notices on our doorstep about the payment due on January 1, demanding payment to an unknown office or website portal that the previous owner never used. The previous owner also didn't disclose their intention to sell the property, so it was a surprise for me and my neighbors. As a result, we had unannounced "persons or representatives" trying to inspect my duplex without proper notice, even during the ongoing pandemic. Citiside also sent contractors to work on the property without much notice, causing noise pollution while I tried to work remotely. I managed to record the event because I knew the office wouldn't take my rights seriously in this new forced relationship. They left behind debris from the work they did. Additionally, I've never encountered a company that demands a lease to be signed for a specific number of days in March, only to later demand an amended lease with higher rent and a bogus water charge. I have been living at my address for six years and have always paid rent and water to Dekalb county on time. The water service rate hasn't changed, and Citiside has not made any changes to the water meters in my building. Therefore, there should be no additional charge. Recently, they demanded that I sign yet another amended lease agreement by May 31, 2022, or vacate the premises. This is clearly a strong-arm tactic, also known as "predatory" management, by a greedy company that doesn't have any real interest in anything except adding my duplex to their portfolio. If you need to contact them, you can reach them through email, text, or voicemail, even if you're requesting a callback for clarification and concerns. I've had to sign two leases in the past five months.
