I've brought my truck to Chevrolet Bessemer twice and spent around, if not more than ***, on repairs. They fixed everything except for the actual issue with the car. Now, the engine has completely stopped working, and it's going to cost me ***0 to get a new one, on top of my ongoing payments. I feel like they never properly inspected the engine and only focused on fixing what they wanted. I've complained about this, but they were very casual and didn't seem to care.

I took my car to Chevrolet Bessemer to fix a recall issue, but now I have to tow my car back home. The airbag light was on because I had removed the airbag, and the engine light was on due to the recall. So, there were two lights on in my car indicating the same issue, which was the recall. However, now all the lights in the vehicle are on, and they claim that it was already like that when I brought it in. None of the lights, camera, security system, or even the tag light are working anymore. I had to drive there, and now I have to call a tow truck to come back home.

I had a terrible experience with Chevrolet Bessemer. They completely violated the fair sales act and engaged in fraudulent behavior. They even tried to trick me into making a down payment using their own money to secure the vehicle for us. Initially, I used cargurus to find a 2007 Mercury Mariner. I contacted them online on February 20, and received a call from a sales representative named Nabil. He assured me that the vehicle was saved for us and even had my name on it. Later, he called me back and said that my offer of $3500 was approved and we could come pick it up on Saturday. He assured me that it was still saved under my name and there was no need to worry. This conversation took place at 10:35 on 02/21.

However, the ecommerce manager then sent me an email stating that I needed to make a down payment. I was confused because Nabil had told me that it was already saved for me. When I confronted Nabil about this, he called me and said that we needed a down payment of $500. He claimed that he used his own money to save the vehicle for me. I reluctantly provided him with my debit card information around 12:30. But just 10 minutes later, at around 12:40, he called me back to inform me that the vehicle had been sold. I was furious and accused him of lying to me. He had promised that it was saved for me and even claimed to have used his own money to secure it. But now, he had my information and had lied to me.

I decided to call the owner and left him a message, but he refused to call me back. Instead, he had his general manager contact me. I explained to the general manager that the deal was for $3500 in cash and the vehicle was supposed to be held until 2/22. However, he told me that they had agreed on a price of $3,999 and denied that Nabil had agreed to $3500. He also mentioned that there were over 25 other people interested in the vehicle. I told him that it was not my problem and that their salesperson had lied to me. I had been given a price of $3500 and I expected to pay that amount, not a penny more. But the general manager simply responded with an "oh well" attitude, showing no remorse for their dishonesty.
