CellHut.com Fraud

I orderd a Sony Unlocked cellphone on Aug 2009. The same day they charged $94.99 on my credit card. I thought they are going to deliver the product soon. The next month they sent an email to call them back to discuss the alternatives for that order as the product is not available. When I called them at 1-877-CEL-TALK, they offered me nothing and said will cancel and send back my money to my credit card. After 1 month I called them back as I didn't see the money was not returned. They said, there was some rejection and hence could not return and promised they will return in that week. I called them 1 month after that and got the same reply. I repeated the same thing and got replies similar to the earlier ones and dragged until the credit card claim is passed 90 days. Then I foolishly relied on them to get my money back. When I called them on 12July, they said dispatched the check on 2nd July. I didn't see it until 30th July and today on 30th July, I called them again, and got weired reply. The order is close to 1 year since placed, and passed their return policy period, they cannot return the money any more. There is no one other than the girl who picked the phone. This company is totally fraud, and should be shutdown immediately. There should be some one from the government take responsibility and shut this fradulent company immediately and jail the company owners and work force for Financial fraud.

Cellhut advertise as if they are selling new equipment. In reality, they sell poorly refurbished phones. The phone I purchased still had the contact list from the prior owner. That one was so badly corroded I returned it immediately, only to have it replace with another piece of junk. Paint peeling, display falling off. I didn't get that one back to them within their 2 week return policy and now I am stuck with it. I strongly advise all to stay clear of this company. Their customer service group is inept and usually unavailable. They seem to be betting on the fact that they can push a large volume of low priced junk onto the public before being nailed.

Internet gangsterism all the way.

Cellhut had a great price on a phone and shipped very quickly. Things went south when the phone was faulty and I needed to exchange the phone. I had to email multiple times to receive an RMA number and their receipt of the phone was never confirmed. I tried to call and email multiple times for the ship date of the replacement phone and finally got a notice saying the phone was "repaired". The phone was rebooting randomly so I doubt it was fixed. No tracking number or mention of the exchange. Then today, a few weeks from sending the phone in, I got a notice saying my money was refunded. That is the positive, the downside is I have been waiting for a working phone now for over a month. Summary - nice prices but poor service.

I had ordered a "NEW" Unlocked Samsung Vibrant and instead received a "used" open box product.

When I called to complain, I had the worst customer service experience ever. The CSR was extremely rude and would not acknowledge their mistake, she just asked me to go to the website and look at the returns policy and return the product.

I returned the product the very next day, following all their instructions and received a signed confirmation from the shipping company saying the product was delivered. I called a couple of days later inquiring about the status of my return and the CSR put me on hold for 15 mins saying she is not able to get the system working, then she asked me to call back after sometime. So, I called 30 mins later and she asked me all about the complaint, the RMA #, etc and then said that she doesn't see the product being received in their system...I told her that I have a signed confirmation from the shipping company, to which she replied that she will follow up with the receiving department and get back to me.

But as expected no one ever called or emailed me. I've emailed them a couple of times without any replies and when I call, no one answers.

Its been more than 15 days since I returned my product and still there is no response from cellhut.

This is a fraud company, who are here just to cheat people.

I've been robbed of $460.00

Please beware and dont ever use this site for ordering any products.

I ordered an ipod charger that never came. When I called to inquire about it, I was told that the order was cancelled, and they had sent me an email (which they hadn't). The person I was talking to was very short and rude with me, and when I tried to ask another question, she hung up on me. I would not recommend buying anything from them.

CellHut.com Order Cancellation without Notice

I order a GPS from CellHut.com and was provided with the order number and all other details. As mentioned on their website the order was suppose to be shipped next day as I ordered after 2pm, for next two days the order status shown was Awaiting shipping. I sent an inquiry email about why it is still not shipped and I got an email back saying that order has been cancelled on my request. I never requested a cancellation and neigher i was ever told that it has been cancelled, I only came to know about it after I inquired about it.

Worst part was when I called them that I don't want to cancel the order they told me that it was cancelled by them as the ordered item is not available anymore, it has been 2 days since and I can see the Item on their website and can place order as well (the price has changed).

The Customer service is very rude and the emails they sent are oneliners, without much information and over the phone also when i asked the CSR to talk to their manager he told me that manager has gone on Lunch and it was 6pm and he mentioned that they are in manhattan...this was so weird.

I AM NEVER GONNA SHOP WITH THEM EVER AGAIN, NO MATTER HOW GOOD DEAL THEY ARE OFFERING ME.

CellHut.com Billed and never shipped after 3 weeks

On July 27(3 weeks ago), I purchased a Bluetooth speaker phone.
I was billed the next day, even though there were none in stock.

After 2 weeks, I received an email stating the item was ready to be shipped(a lie). On August 16, I called and was told the item was out of stock, and they didn't know when they would be in stock.
I cancelled the order, and asked for a credit.

Customer service told me they bill immediately after receiving the order, even though no items may be in stock. Poor practices.

CellHut.com Poor Service

I ordered a cell phone on the 30th of May, and asked it to be shipped to a relative's address on 2nd day air(UPS). The next day I was told that this could only be done, by contacting my bank and making the shipping address a Temp billing address, or they could ship to my billing address. I decided to ship to my address, and then ship it myself, since it would be quicker. I then got another call to verify my address on the following Monday, which I did. They shipped it and billed my account. On my tracking the device, I notice that Cell Hut sent out an intercept to UPS and they had the phone returned to their location. When I inquired to Cell Hut customer service, after waiting 30 min, I was told the wrong phone had been sent, and another would be shipped on that day, Wed Jun 4th. I continued to check my order, and no new phone was shipped. On Friday, the 6th, I again called and was told that a new phone would not be shipped until the old phone was received. It is now the 9th, the old phone WAS received, and still no new phone. I have sent numerous emails also, in addition to my calls, and none of them have been answered. My current opinion of Cell Hut is electronically unprintable and not considered socially unacceptable in most circles, or a resounding STAY AWAY

I bought an 'unlocked I phone'.Received the phone which was jail broken and was bricked.I asked for a RMA on the next day. They 'declined the RMA request as it won't meet their terms and conditions!' Jesus, they basically sold me a non working phone and wants me to live with it and accept the fact that I was duped of around 500 bucks by these cons.

I purchased a BlackBerry Storm2 9550 supposedly (Unlocked) from this company a couple of weeks ago. I used
my AT&T sim card and it took a while for it to connect to the AT&T network when it finally did it continued to drop connection constantly bearing in mind that there are two other friends using their BB at the
same location as I am and they are able to text make and receive calls using their AT&T sim in their BBs. So I decided to go through the phone and troubleshoot the issue hoping that it could be resovled simply by activating or deactivating a feature. One of the first things that was noticed when trying to make a call was the fact that
my default number is [protected] which is not my number in any shape or form. Further investigation revealed that the number is a locked Voice Mail and Call Back number registered to a Verizon partner in
Texas named Cellco Partnership DBA Verizon (see attachment). As stated before even when everyone else is getting a signal the BB is constantly in the search mode or displays SOS. An email was sent to www.cellhut.com and there was no response from any one from in the company a couple of days passed then I sent another. I currently have in my positions a $429.99 paper weight and based on what I have seen and read on these sites I don't expect to hear a peep out of this company further less my issue being resolved. I have to blame myself since I really needed a new phone in a hurry to keep in conact with my 10 yr daughter and i didnt do the required research. I will stick with site such as Amazon.com from now on NEVER me again...

JOIN CAMPAIGN TO SHUT DOWN CELLHUT.COM

I ordered and paid for Nokia N900 + accessories on 18 May 2010. The phone never arrive. For the first month, Cellhut.com customer service gave me [censor] excuses about the phone being out of stock and new delivery within 1 week. After another month they changed the status of the order from Pending to Canceled. No email expanation, NADA! The next month the [censor] was 10 working days to process the refund. Then 5 more working days. Then could be done in 2 hours. Now they just hang up on me and I am taking up the matter with Nassau District Attorney's office for Internet fraud crime. They are skanky and very very dubious. These robbers must be brought to justice and website down for good.

I ordered a phone from here. I cancelled it within the next day. They said that they would refund my money within 3-5 business days. So I decided to call them. Series of waiting for 30 minutes at least to talk to a representative but the thing is the waiting was no hope. I was connected but they just hang up on me. I had to place a dispute with them and hopefully they will refund my money. I just ope someone would read this before placing an order with them.

DO NOT BUY FROM CELLHUT.COM!

I purchased a phone on February 15, 2010 and had
selected rushed delivery. When I had not received my phone for
several weeks I sent several emails to customer service and never
received a reply.

Through talking with the customer service representative I was able to
have my rushed deliver fee removed from my order status on the cell
hut website but this change never showed up on my bank statement. The
cell hut customer service representative promised the phone would
definitely be at my house by Wednesday, March 10th.

The representative on the phone was very misleading. I called back on
Thursday, March 11th after the phone did not arrive and the
representative said that the phone was on back order for at least 3
weeks and that if I wanted I could cancel the order.

Thus, I told the representative to cancel the order and please refund
my money. My cell hut order status shows that the order was canceled
but it still has me being charged for the phone and the warranty.

DO NOT BUY FROM CELLHUT.COM. What they are doing is a FRAUD. The form of their business is a bait and switch.
I placed an order for a phone. The drop down menu clearly had my mobil carrier on the list.(it had a very long list of carriers at the time) Was promised shipment the same day. (it was indicated that it is available).
In reality it took 2 weeks to get the phone. After charging the battery I realized that the phone is not working with my mobil carrier. I called Cellhut to only find out that during the 2 weeks of waiting to get my phone their web site was updated and according to a new web page my phone only works in Asia.
(out of that long list they had on the day I was placing an order only Asia remained). And they are basically refusing to admit that they changed the web page, making you sound like an idiot. All you get out of representative is that Cellhut is not responsible for anything. I think they made a lot of money sending this e-mails to people during Valentines Day, offering "great savings" on the phones that do not work in US, period.
This company should be prosecuted. This is false advertisement and plain lying to people. Taking their money and not being responsible for anything.
I am surprised that they are not being sued yet. If any attorneys are reading this maybe I is time for a class action law suit.

CellHut is very very worst company. I never see such type of company. They sent the wrong phone which is not charging. I got RMA# number and I returned the item two months back. But till now they didn't refund my amount. Whenever I try to call them it will take almost 30 mins to 45 mins to connect them and every time they say within next 48 hours they will refund the amount. I think there is only one person called MARK in their customer service center. I don't know why they are calling that as customer service center. Always he used to answer the phone. I am sick with their approach. I don't know how can I get that amount?

This Company sucks! I fell victim to this and the worst part of it is that I ordered the a phone for my boss's wife because she is not internet savy and now I'm screwed. She wanted a new phone and I found one on CELLHUT.COM and she wanted it. I ordered it with the company CC and then they decide to say the phone isn't in stock and it will ship out the next day. Next day comes and my order status is still the same. I tried calling and they say the refund has been issued but was over a week ago and still no refund so you know that that was a bunch of you know what. They are a SCAM and I think everyone who has been a victim of these crooks should go to WWW.IFCC.COM and file a complaint with the government after all they are criminals and should be brought to justice.

hey guys
I have just been another victim of fricking CellHut. They send me a wrong phone, after I called and was assured they had what I needed before they sent it. They didn't even gave me a copy of invoice. When I called them, I think there is only one guy on customer service all the time BTW, he said "our records indicate we sent you what you asked.
I just shiped this wrong phone back to them.
Anychance do you think of me getting a full refund?
And if not, do you think I can request my CC company to claim the amount back?

CellHut.com Bait and switch

I placed an online order with CellHut.com for a Bluetooth headset for a motorcycle helmet and a pair of Oakley sunglasses. It showed on the website a picture of everything that was with the motorcycle rig. I placed the order and when I received the package I was nowhere near what was advertised on the site nor did I get the sunglasses either so the price was much less then what had qualified for free shipping. Regardless, I only received the lanyard that picks up the signal but nothing that actually has to do with a motorcycle helmet.

I directly proceed to e-mail the company on getting the correct part. The fact is that I look through the whole website and the actual second part that was used for the helmet rigging they did not actually carry. So I included that in the e-mail along with the fact that I wanted a full refund for false adverting and the fact that they pulled bait and switch. I only received a single phone call to call in and use the extension given. However, when I call there is no option for an extension and they place you in a queue. I have tried twice and both times I never got through even after waiting a half hour for assistance on hold. In that time the message kept telling me to go online if I have a dispute and I did with no result. I finally just shipped it back following all the instructions with a RMA. I got a call saying that they did have the part I needed and to call back at another extension that does not exist. I tried to go through the credit card company for resolve too but they where unable to help either. Now they have gotten the product back after I have paid for return shipping and have never received and refund at all. It has now been over 3 months and no resolve has come about.

I bought a phone for a customer contract we have. The customer realized they got the wrong phone and I went to CellHut's return policy where they said to email CustomerService@Cellhut.com to get an RMA number. I did that with no response. I email again a couple of weeks later with no response. I called them on two occasions with waiting time of 20 minutes or longer and I don't have that kind of time so I hung up. I finally got someone the phone 2/09/12 after 20 minutes of waiting and I was told by someone that couldn't speak English that they never got my emails and it was past the return policy so they would not return or refund my money. When I asked her about the long wait time on the phone she has the nerve to say "Sometimes we are too busy to answer the phone" WHAT? I am disputing this charge with my CC company. I have read on other site and here this is a SCAM/FRAUD company. I don't believe they are out of New York and I really don't believe they are in the US. It took them 3 WEEKS to ship a phone what supposed to be expedited. Can anyone say that this phone shipped within the US? NO! They are from another country scamming people out of their money.

Ordered a cell phone from cellhut.com, and by the following day i had 12 e-mails advising that the e-mails did not have enough to identify me. I sent them a second e-mail address and was advised that that was insufficient. I then cancelled my order on july 24th was was the second day after i placed my order on july 23rd. The order was confirmed cancelled on july 24th, but i keep getting e-mails that my order is still opened and that i cannot cancel the transaction. The total amount charged to my credit card was $564.87.

I believe that cellhut has a computer program that does not function.

Cellhut has a very restrictive return policy. They shipped a phone that was DOA, and would not take it back because I was beyond the 2 weeks from order date. Given a week to ship, and the fact it was a gift it was not opened immediately the problem was identified after 2 weeks.
This was advertised as a new phone, but the battery, i suspect, was old, as it would not charge at all.
They lure you with low prices but I recommend you do not use this company.

I totally agree. They are a rip-off company. Here's my story.

Purchased unlocked Motorola Rizr Z3 from Cellhut.com as a Christmas present. Stopped working a few days after christmas-was not damaged, the screen went white in the middle of a phone call and would not go away.
Asked to return for an exchange.
Said it was past their 14 day return period. The phone box looked like it had already been opened and was a used phone when we received it-should have returned it immediately! Emails to Cellhut went ignored until we filed a complaint with the New York Better Business Bureau, which since Cellhut is NOT a member, they were unable to assist us with any resolution (we just wanted to exchange).
Called Motorola, the phone was made for Singapore and Motorola said I would have to ship it there at my expense for repair (also at my expense).

Overall, a very UNSATISFACTORY shopping experience-this was the exact nightmare you worry about when shopping online with questionable merchants. I would not recommend these shady scammers at Cellhut to my worst enemy!
