Cato General shopping

I would like to praise the Cato store Manager Cherie Harmon and her assistant Kya Jann in Saginaw, Texas. The customer service and professional manner in which I was taken care of goes over and above what you get these days. They made me feel special like I was the only one in the store while still welcoming other customers as they came in. These ladies know how to treat customers, which makes you want to come back time after time... I'm a young 71 and I love your styles. I will be a long time customer for sure.

Desired outcome: Just a good word for the Manager and Assistant

Cato Service

Hello,
I bought three tops from your store in Selmer, Tennessee. Two of the tops did not fit me properly and I returned them. The lady who assisted me was training a young lady on how to do a refund from my email receipt. She was asking her if the clothes were from their store and I said yes, they are. I work right behind you. Meaning the Walmart behind her store. She rudely told me to make sure the tags were left on the clothes next time. I did pull one of the tags off one of the tops but I had it in the bag with the tops I was returning and I have been in retail for 23 years. I know they can reattach the tags. I can tell you that I will not shop at that store again. Neither will I recommend it to anyone. That was not good customer service.

I was shopping at Cato in Jacksonville, AR. I was to follow around the store because I was black. They did follow the white customer around the store. They keep asking me did I need any help. When the white customer enter the store, they treat her different. You need to stop this behavior at your store locate at 2070 John Harding Dr., Jacksonville, Ar. This happened on 3/12/27. The past 4 times I've been to Cato's in Roanoke the customer service has been HORRIBLE! The girl they have hired is the absolute worst. Cato My card it wasn't approved

I have been a loyal Cato customer for over 20 years. The last time I visited the store to try make a purchase with my card it wasn't approved. The clerk called the customer service number only to find out my card was cancelled due to not being used within 12 months. I was a loyal customer, and made my payments on time. Cato didn't allow my acct to be reopened because they said they saw a credit card on my credit report that I had a problem with. That should not have had any impact toward my Cato acct, but they didn't reinstate my card.

Cato employment

This complaint is regarding unfair and inadequate treatment regarding employment from one of your stores. I was hired in March of this year to work a 10-15 hour shift weekly, told to me by a manager at the time which quit during my hiring process. I took the position because I deal with several chronic disabilities which caused me to permanently retire from the workforce several years ago and I looked at this as a great way of reestablishing myself since my doctor approved me for limited hours.

After being with my store for approximately five to six months, another individual was brought on, then another one approximately a month or two after that; however, we had received a new store manager and I spoke with them about my concerns of less hours and immediately I received an increase and things were fine.

So yesterday I completed my scheduled 4 hrs shift, which is normally what I get; three days out of the week but no more than 15 hours a week (doctor's note); but an hour after leaving the job, I received a text showing my hours drastically reduced next week from 14 to 7 hours. So I Quit! I'm tired of repeatedly asking were are my hours and on top of it all, the new store manager has resigned.

I am the sales associate with the most seniority and my hours seem to be the ones that always get cut. Outside of management and the keyholder, I've been there the longest and I've never complained about the effects it takes on my body. So Why? Why are they taking my hours and allowing employees under me, less hired time, to work the hours I should be getting. I DON'T KNOW but it's unfair so I have a question.

I love working for the Cato and assisting the customers and I'd like to know if I'm still able to reapply with the company for another position in a different location in the future?

Cato I am not sending a complaint!!!

This Is NOT a complaint; I just wanted to pass on to you something I observed yesterday at Cato's in Forest, MS. As a retired administrative secretary at the University of MS Medical Center (in the Department of Learning Resources…over five departments of the medical SCHOOL and as a previous business education ) I know the important these days of SERVICE and CONSIDERATION and RESPECT.

It hit me that all three of these characteristics are THERE! I am sure that the economy has plummeted for just about every business; but, if an inspection of good stores were ever made out our way, I wonder if Yasmin might be a good candidate for a promotion.

She helped me reset my Cato's watch, and ALL of the workers are there to HELP in whatever way we need help! I made a comment on my appreciation and told here I had been a teacher and that she "may have missed her calling" because I understood how to set my clock the next time...she even let me try that theory out before I left the store!

Then, as I was checking out, she trained a new employee on the cash register. Her attitude and instructions were simple, clear, and able to follow. Her patience was excellent. I then told her that I didn't want to lose her at Forest, MS; but, that she should be given a position to TRAIN!

If she needs a personal recommendation; please consider this from me. Of course I have not worked at Cato's nor with her; but, I AM VERY IMPRESSED with this young lady!
