Carver Toyota of Columbus The dealership is crooked and took advantage of me

The dealership is crooked and took advantage of me. They lied and lied, wrongfully repossessed a vehicle that was being paid for, and my payments were never late. My financial leader has my side. Also, I have paperwork stating my payments are excellent and my credit is great. They never gave me my title work to plate the truck. They're horrible for this, and they are not giving me money back that I have spent $30000 since July. I do not recommend them at all.

Carver Toyota of Columbus I wanted a Toyota that everyone wants, and Carver came through when other dealers couldn't

I wanted a Toyota that everyone wants, and Carver came through when other dealers couldn't. They had the exact Toyota I wanted! It's amazing how a quick drive can change everything. Carver Toyota is the best dealership I've ever dealt with out of the 14 Toyotas I've owned. The sales, finance, and service teams all made it super easy. We had a few lattes while having some awesome chats, and then we were on our way. They're a fantastic bunch of experts. If you're getting a Toyota, you gotta go to Carver. Thanks a bunch!

Carver Toyota of Columbus They traded trucks with me and took me

They traded trucks with me and took me. Their advertisin' said it had a back up camera and it doesn't. Sales manger said he'd get me one. It didn't have a spare tire, sales manger said he'd get one. They told me it had scratches on the left side and was repaired. When I got my paper work the truck had been damaged on the left side and rear. They told me it was a local trade, and it wasn't! It was an auction vehicle! I was lied to all around! I can't even give 'em a star! The ones I dealt with said they were veterans? I've never been treated this way by a veteran!

Carver Toyota of Columbus I bought a car from Carver Toyota of Columbus, but I still haven't received it yet

I bought a car from Carver Toyota of Columbus, but I still haven't received it yet. I have some questions about the agreement, but I can't get anyone from the finance department or the manager to call me back. It's frustrating because I don't want others to go through the same issues. I've noticed that other people have experienced high-pressure sales tactics and unwanted warranties too. I really want to remove those extra warranties before my grace period ends, but no one is returning my calls. It's really disappointing. *** F

Carver Toyota of Columbus I got a new Tacoma TRD on 5 AUG

I got a new Tacoma TRD on 5 AUG. On 24 AUG, I took it to a car wash and it got all messed up. It got towed to Carver and after 3 weeks, they said it was bad fuel. They took out all the gas and gave it back to me with less than 1/4 tank. Two weeks later, the truck got messed up again while I was driving in a rainstorm. Four weeks later, they found out it had bad connectors and replaced them. They didn't do a good job of keeping me updated on what was happening. It took them 7 weeks to fix the problem (I think they fixed it this time). They were really bad at serving me, diagnosing the issue, and communicating with me. They didn't care that they wasted $70 of my fuel during their wrong diagnosis. To be fair, they did give me a loaner car the whole time. If they hadn't, I would have given them a rating of 1. I don't recommend this service department.

Carver Toyota of Columbus I went to Carver Toyota of Columbus on 2/28/2022 and paid $9732

I went to Carver Toyota of Columbus on 2/28/2022 and paid $9732. They promised me a car that would work well and not have any mechanical problems. However, I had a problem with them charging me an extra $500 to fix a cracked window. The car I bought had a lot of dents and came with winter tires. It also had issues with the transmission overheating and an oil leak.

Carver Toyota of Columbus On 7/19, I called Carver's service *** 'bout the fuel system on my 2011 Tundra

On 7/19, I called Carver's service *** 'bout the fuel system on my 2011 Tundra. It would crank but not start. They said Wednesday was the earliest they could "get me in". I told 'em how important my truck is for my work and asked if I could bring it in on Tuesday. Carver said they would "squeeze me in". I had the truck towed to Carvers on Tuesday. Rented a Camary through them for $44 a day expectin' a 3 day rental, maybe 4 at most. It's been 11 days now and as far as I know, 'cause they won't call me back, they don't even have the part. My truck is both a tool and transportation for me. Goin' without it for this long is costin' me money and stress. I can't even sleep right. In short, Carvers hasn't been honest 'bout how long this would take. I would've gone somewhere else if I knew. It's clear Carver don't care 'bout their customers or the troubles we gotta deal with. A fuel pump, two weeks? That ain't right. Unacceptable. Rob

Carver Toyota of Columbus I bought a 2012 VW Tiguan in March

I bought a 2012 VW Tiguan in March. Got a warranty too. 'Cause of COVID, I didn't drive much 'til late April. Then, check engine light came on. Got it checked, turbo was the problem. My mechanic replaced part of the turbo, cost me around 300 bucks. Two weeks later, check engine light came back on, same issue. Also said something 'bout the gas cap, like before. Found a crack in the gas cap when I looked closer. Talked to Ashley at Carver, had a long chat. She asked for info, said she'd email me. But she NEVER did. I called her 3 times, she NEVER called back. My mechanic said they should've caught this before I bought it. I'm frustrated 'cause Carver's supposed to be great with customers, but I feel ignored. Carver should fix these two problems and check the whole car to make sure nothing else needs fixing.

Carver Toyota of Columbus I took my 2013 Toyota Tacoma to Carver Toyota of Columbus for the recommended transmission service

I took my 2013 Toyota Tacoma to Carver Toyota of Columbus for the recommended transmission service. They said everything was fine after the service. But a few days later, the transmission started slipping and getting stuck in 3rd gear. I went back to the service department for them to figure out the problem. They told me that their technicians messed up and caused crud to jam a shift control solenoid and valve. They said I needed to buy a re-manufactured transmission for a whopping $5,600. When I talked to the service manager on the phone, he admitted that their service caused the damage, even though it's supposed to prevent it. I told him that since they admitted fault, they should fix it. But then he tried to make excuses, saying that the part was 'sealed' and couldn't be replaced. I found the part for sale online from another Toyota dealership and even the Toyota service manual said it could be replaced. I told him this, but he said it was just a coincidence. I reminded him that they already admitted fault and even had it written down in their paperwork, which he read to me. He said he would call me back with a solution that afternoon. It's been 24 hours and they still haven't called me back or returned my calls. And $5,600 for a remanufactured transmission is way too expensive. Other Toyota dealerships and aftermarket transmission suppliers have them for $2,600-$4,000. The service manager also tried to blame the problem on me.

Carver Toyota of Columbus I went to Carver Toyota last Friday evening

I went to Carver Toyota last Friday evening. We were scammed by the sales manager and the financial person. Fraud and deception. Our trade-in was *** blue booked at *** plus. The sales manager gave us two offers which we rejected. Then we agreed on something that he wrote down but has since disappeared from our file. They did not give us copies of our file. The agreed-upon trade price was changed. He told me he could only get $24000 out of our car but the next day listed it for $28000. He had written down *** but changed the amount to ***. They also added fees that they did not disclose. The car we traded for had undisclosed damage. We notified them the next day, which was a Saturday, but they did not call us back until late evening and told us to come back the following Friday. We returned on Monday 2/21 and gave them the car back. We drove our old Toyota there and back home. When we got there, the sales manager that lied to me and ripped us off was laughing at me and so were most of his coworkers. There are some very unethical and fraudulent people at this dealership. This has been the worst experience in car purchases of my entire life. I am so upset and stressed out over it. I cannot believe a major car dealer would employ such deceptive people. We just want our car back. We didn't do anything wrong, just trying to buy a Toyota and lost thousands. The sales manager basically called me a liar. He was actually proud of the fact that he took advantage of us. I want this nightmare to be over. Haven't slept all night since last Friday, my eyes are swollen from crying and worrying. I have never felt so violated. Those two guys should be working at *** not Toyota. People like them give car salesmen a bad name.

Carver Toyota of Columbus I was at Carver Toyota of Columbus, Indiana, looking for a good used vehicle on 6/11/2022

I was at Carver Toyota of Columbus, Indiana, looking for a good used vehicle on 6/11/2022. I was talking to a salesperson named ***, and he seemed okay at first. When we test drove the car, a 2017 Rav Toyota, he turned the radio on so we couldn't hear the noise of the car. I noticed the car pulling to the left, and he said they had just serviced it. I told him to drive the car, and he said the same thing, it pulled to the left. So they took it back to look at it, and they came back and said nothing was wrong with it. I tried to walk away and come back later, but I tried several times and even when the guy trying to get the loan said no, don't go, it was intimidating. I was by myself. So when I got home with the car, there was a clicking noise coming from the motor. I also noticed that the right side trim on top of the car was gone, and the left back driver side tail light was half full of water. What else could go wrong with this car? I took it back on Monday 6/13/2022, and they gave me a loaner car that barely had gas in it. The gas light came on while driving home from Columbus to ***. I just made it to the gas station, and then the service light came on. At this point, I was in tears. Now I'm worried about what else could go wrong with the car. I have never been this stressed out over anything. I would like my money back so I can start all over looking for a good car and a reputable dealership. And I will not go by myself ever again and be intimidated like that again. I just want out of the contract. I have pictures and video, but I don't know how to upload them. I am not a technical person. Here is *** phone number ***. I showed her all the problems. I'm writing to you because I don't think they will listen to me or give me the respect I deserve. Thank you for your time.

Carver Toyota of Columbus This dealership sold me a car with big problems and didn't tell me

This dealership sold me a car with big problems and didn't tell me. I bought it on May 10th and the check engine light came on the next day. I've talked to the dealership many times about the engine problems, but they say they can't find the main issue. I know the previous owner and they told me the dealership knew the car needed a new engine when they sold it to me. It seems like the dealership knew the car would break down soon after I bought it and tried to hide the problems from me and other buyers. They say they inspect their used cars carefully, so I thought they would know about and tell me about any big issues. Nobody expects to have to replace the engine in a used car within 30 days, especially when the dealership knew about it and didn't say anything. The salesman made me feel safe by talking about the inspection process. He even said they wouldn't sell me a car if it didn't pass inspection and had problems. So I thought my car passed inspection and didn't have any big issues. But a private mechanic looked at it for just a few minutes and told me it needed a new engine. I know used cars don't come with a warranty, but I do expect the dealership to tell me about major mechanical problems before I buy the car so I can make a good decision.

Carver Toyota of Columbus We financing a vehicle thru Carver Toyota of Columbus

We financing a vehicle thru Carver Toyota of Columbus. After financing, vehicle cost $23,000. Two days after purchase, transmission went out. They gave us rental vehicle while they had our car for 2 months fixing transmission. When we picked it up, it had crack in windshield they wouldn't explain. Got car back in august. They said they replaced all fluids and filters. First week of October, car wouldn't start. Towed it to Carver Toyota and they found out it was starter problem. They fixed starter. Now they saying motor is knocking and it's our fault for no oil, so they won't fix it. They said we screwed. I don't think it's possible to run a car dry of oil in 2 months after changing fluids. Car was only used for work commute. That means there was motor problem before starter went out. Oil must have been leaking. Before starter went out, no knocking in motor. Also, we paid for extended warranties, GAP insurance, etc. They still won't fix car. They loaned us a car for work and now want it back and our car towed. They talked to me on phone very unprofessional and rude. They made fun of me and situation. I'm not okay with any of this. Worst experience buying a car. I won't come back after this is fixed!
