Tempe Honda This dealership sold me a car that was supposedly thoroughly inspected but when I took it to my mechanic after buying it, I found out that it

This dealership sold me a car that was supposedly thoroughly inspected but when I took it to my mechanic after buying it, I found out that it had a homemade trailing arm (part of the rear suspension) that my mechanic said was "not safe to drive." The CARFAX report showed that the car had been in an accident with "moderate" damage, but it was still drivable. When my mechanic showed me the part in the service bay, it was clear that it wasn't supposed to be there, and I don't know much about cars. The homemade trailing arm was just a metal rod with bolts welded on to make it longer. The place where it attached to the vehicle frame had also been changed and welded. They also sold me a warranty that was supposed to cover everything, but they conveniently didn't include the rear suspension, so it wouldn't have covered this homemade part. When I brought the car back, they said they were all about customer service and then tried to sell me another vehicle (which they had originally said was a year newer than it actually was), even though they knew it was above our budget. They're selling a lot of cars now that the pandemic is slowing down, but they're not taking the time to properly check the trade-ins. They seem to care more about selling a large quantity of vehicles than ensuring their quality.

I bought a car in July 2023 and paid off the loan in January 2024. I contacted finance to cancel gap and get a refund. He sent me the cancellation form and said I needed a payoff letter from the finance company. On January 30th I sent him both the filled out cancellation form and the payoff letter. When I didn't receive the refund by March 11th I called and...

Tempe Honda On Friday afternoon, January 29, I found the right car for us on the Tempe Honda website

On Friday afternoon, January 29, I found the right car for us on the Tempe Honda website. The 2020 Civic LX was being offered at $21,755. After crunching the numbers and having been pre-qualified by Vantage West, I spoke with salesman ***, and offered $22K out the door for the car; that was at 3:24, by 3:30 he called me back and told me he could do the deal. World's fastest deal, I thought. Good. At this point I knew nothing of the dealership's "Bananas" sale. I never saw notice on the website, nor was it ever mentioned. We paid $19,524.08. Two days later, we found a sale tag stuffed between the seats offering the car at $17,998. Photo available. My wife ***, contacted our salesman *** and asked for an explanation. He stated that the sale price was for military and college grad incentives. He also told her that we received a better deal than we would have at that price. I know both of those statements to be false. I wrote *** an email disputing his explanation.

I know both of those statements to be false. I wrote *** an email disputing his explanation and asked he pass me to his manager. I heard back from Tempe Honda GSM *** to address the issue. He first told me that sales price applied to military and college grads. When I informed him that I was well aware of both programs, and that they offer only $500 in incentives, he then refocused on my trade-in. Explaining to me that had the car been priced lower, I wouldn't have gotten as much for my trade, I responded that had the car been $1500 cheaper as advertised, with financial objectives exceeded, my trade would have been easy. He actually laughed, and agreed with me. Given the fact that the sale tag was literally ripped off the mirror and hidden between the seats, and that the salesperson and GSM both misled me after the fact, I'm contacting you. We've always been polite and have never asked for anything. We're hoping someone will do the right thing. Best

Tempe Honda second key

I bought a Honda from Tempe Honda 4/11/2010..they could only give me one key because they could not find the second one and promised to send it to me when they found it...I have been trying to get the second key since then...I contacted the sales person Cindy and spoke to her about it at least three times...I also left her numerous messages about it...she said she was ordering me a key each time twice...I never got it...I took the car in sometime in sometime in Sept or Oct and asked the service rep about it...he got Cindy and she again said she would order the key...still no key...today I took my car in for service and asked if I could get the second key...Cindy was there and brought Terry Longenecker (the Customer Relations Director Director) to talk to me...he asked me why they had not heard anything about my not getting the second key since April 2010. I told him they had...he then said the key was $130 and they would have to eat the cost and asked me to "split the difference with them" saying that people frequently tried to rip them off...they came in claiming to have only gotten only one key when they really got two and lost one...he would then check the record and see that they had signed for two"...I asked him if he had checked my record and saw that I only signed for one!...he said yes but that I should help him out here and "split the difference."...I told him no way, I paid for two and he owed me a key...he finally said okay and I got my key...After talking to Terry Longenecker and being accused of trying to get another key because I lost one, if he is the CRD for Tempe Honda they won't have many loyal repeat customers...I have never been treated so shabilly...Steve & I have been loyal Tempe Honda customers for many years...we have bought 2 Hondas from them and have always had our Hondas (3) serviced there...BUT NO MORE AS OF TODAY!...AND I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THESE PEOPLE TO ANYONE, ANYMORE.
