CARRENTAL8 is a SCAM! Do NOT waste your time or money!

I reserved a van through them (non-refundable and paid for in advance) and upon arriving for pick up they told me they had given my reserved vehicle to someone else and there were no other vehicles available. What?!? How is that fair or legitimate business? The counter staff was rude and not helpful at all in trying to resolve the issue or find us another vehicle. He abruptly told me that I could contact the company to inquire about a refund. That didn't help my family of 6 who were stuck in Miami for 12 hours without transportation. If I could give negative stars I would.

DO NOT USE CARRENTAL8!

On 12nd July, I navigated the Hopper platform with the intention of booking a car. However, I was merely previewing the order without any intent of finalizing it. To my sheer surprise and dismay, I found that the funds for the booking were deducted from my account without any clear warning or confirmation prompt.

I promptly reached out to Hopper, expecting a straightforward resolution. Unfortunately, they deflected responsibility by stating that the funds were taken by rental 8 which is true because MODE rental company showed me it’s rental 8 took the money . With hopes of resolvingthe issue, I contacted rental 8 but was met with furtherdisappointment as they passed the blame back onto Hopper. This has left me in a relentless cycle of blame-shifting, with my refund still out of reach.

I find this situation to be in stark violation of the principlesof the Fair Trading Act. All I sought was a simple cancellation of the order and a full refund, but I now find myself in a seemingly endless loop of deflection and irresponsibility.

I have made my utmost efforts to resolve this issue, including multiple correspondences with Hopper and CarRental 8 and MODE, to no avail. I implore your esteemed agency to intervene and provide the necessary assistance.

feedbacks from but hired a car through them and I think they keep wrecks just for their customers, the car were not checked and I was told to check it and take pictures myself. The bumper was actually loose and taped up and loose, the engine cover was hanging down, the front bearing had a noise.

The invoice says no additional cost on pickup, "estimated" then they charge you $17.
