I purchased a camera "CANON PowerShot SX230 HS Compact Digital Camera - Black" from Currys, Wembley, HA98TS on 31st Jan 2013 via my Credit Card. I havent opted for any Product Care Plans, and categorically refused the sales man to put it on any plans.
Now, when I checked my last two months statement, I found an entry "PRODUCT SUPPORT AG [protected] GB £4.50", which I realized has been originated from currys.
This is highly unacceptable, and I came across similar complaints from many of my friends.
Currently I'm out of UK and cannot go to the store to solve the dispute. I tried calling customer care, but of no success.
I want to formally logde the complain against against the company. Any lead will be helpful. This has to stop.

Couldn't take pictures. Default reset didn't work, gave blurry reddish unintelligible screen.
FixYa apparently accepted credit card info, nut no response. I want to cancel any possible payment.

I received this camera for my birthday and all it has done is give me trouble with my pictures' . I am not happy with this camera . I do not want it fixed and sent back . I told Kyle, I told Kyle @ okcanon, that I got is as a gift, I am not happy with it . It does not take good pictures like a canon should . My roommate has canon 1100 and it takes much better pictures ' than this one has ever taken . I would rather just send it to you and you send me canon 1100 . Then to have it fixed and send it back to me . I am not happy . And, I will never buy a canon again . And when my friends go too buy a canon . I will tell them all the problems I have had with you and NOT MAKING CUSTOMER SATIFIED WITH CANON AND THEIR CAMERAS ' . UNLESS you would take my camera back, and send to me the canon1100 camera that I know takes GREAT PICTURES ... I had to put SD card in computer and correct the pictures because the pictures are orange . Now I tried to send you my ORANGE PICTURES and it is saying it's max size 2MB . I don't see the problem accept the pictures came from a CANON . Send me an e-mail address and I will send you all the ORANGE PICTURES' I have on my computer ... Do not hesitate to call . And, I only want to talk to CANON SUPERVISOR . It still has a 6 month warranty, I should be able to receive what I ask for . Not what you want to send to me . I may have the receipt, I will have to look . I would even be happy with a swap of the CANON CAMERA that I know takes GREAT pictures . Which is the Canon Power Shot 1100LS This camera takes excellent pictures . If you can't send me a Canon power Shot 1100LS, then just keep this camera and don't send it back . I will go get another brand that I know will takes MUCH BETTER PICTURES than this one which is ( power Shot SD1300IS ) . i do want to speak to a supervisor . So have someone call me [protected] ) ... I bought a Cannon Camera and bought the extended warranty. I cannot believe that just after the extended warranty was up the camera stopped working. When I called them there was no help to see if we could reset the camera just to send it it in at my expense. When I told her the make of the camera it was a flat rate of 150.00 to fix and the shipping was at my expense. For a camera that is not even 4 years old I find this unacceptable. Products should last longer. I will not have it fixed for this cost I will just go buy a inexpensive camera that if it stops working in 2-3 years I will just throw it away. They obviously had issues with this make and model to have a set price on repairs. I always recommended Cannon Cameras to others but will no longer do that. Or I will buy another kind myself. Since my husband bought another brand and it is working fine!

NOT a happy Cannon Customer!

I purchased a Canon Ixus 200 camera on July 28th 2010. However, after browsing further on the internet, I noticed the camera was being sold much cheaper on another site thus I telephoned Simply Electronics to cancel my order. The gentleman said that was fine as my order hadn't been processed...until 2 weeks later, I received a confirmation email to say the camera had been dispatched! I phoned Simply Electronics again and advised them I had cancelled my order. They told me that they never accept a cancellation of an order over the phone; you have to email a cancellation! I was never advised of this.

I was told to refuse the camera when it was delivered, which I did on August 12th 2010. I was told it would only take 7-10 working days to refund my credit card. I am now sitting at the 16th of September and they have STILL NOT refunded my credit card. I've now contacted my credit card company who are investigating the matter and will claim for the money once I forward emails demonstrating I returned the camera.

I would avoid

Buyers beware. I ordered a canon camera the price was decent and they offered free shipping. The next day they sent an email saying the needed me to call for a billing problem i called and they told me they needed the three digit code on the back of my card and they proceeded to ask me what kind of battery i wanted. I said i wanted the 5 hour. After realizing that they charged me 69.99 for it and that i didn't need it i called them about an hour later to tell them i didn't want it they told me they would take care of it. I called the next morning to comfirm it and they told me the thing already shipped so they told me to call and get an RA# to return it. I called and they told me i had to email them for the number so i did. they emailed back saying that this item could not be returned. i called the next day and they refused to let me talk to a manager i told them to just send me an ra# for the whole order and they still haven't sent me one. my bank told me to send it back and they would take care of it. Lesson learned. I did end up finding the same camera for 30.00 less at Best Buy and I found the battery for 15.00. These guys need to be black balled

I bought this camera 1.5 months ago but it was never delivered. Their business plan is obviously designed to suck people in on a low-priced item and then require them to call in for "verification of purchase". This was a ploy to intimidate the buyer to buy many more products such as insurance and other accessories. Their Business Plan is clear... suck the buyer into with a low- price on the item you are interested in and then screw them on the other crap they are selling or they will ignore your purchase. Their company should be called The Camera Unprofessionals!

I ordered a Canon Powershot D10 camera on November 13th and still have not received the item. I have called multiple times and every time I have been told that the item is out of stock, but should be coming in soon. Strangely enough it is still listed on their website as available in limited quantities. I have also sent several emails but don't get a reply. When trying to call their 'customer service' number you get put on hold for about 1 hour, they are probably hoping you will give up, and then you get to talk to a very unfriendly person. The last time I spoke to this person it was suggested to me to upgrade to the kit which was $299.00. I told him that that is not what I ordered and want. Then we got disconnected. I suggest that you do NOT order from this company.

I had recently bought a Canon SLR Rebel T1i from them. To date its been 10days and I have not received anything. I have also repeatedly gotten the run around, in the shipping department, etc. I do not understand why, i have bought many accessories for this camera including a 100mm Macro EF Lens, from Amazon, which was delivered within 2 days. Next time, not worth saving the $10.

I opened my checking account online and noticed a $9.99 charge from Canon, ITS, VA. The account this amount was drawn from is an emergency checking account and only used if we are short of funds. I have never use this account for anything online other than to transfer money from another checking account of mine to this particular account from the same bank.

I went online to order a Camera, placed the order with a salesperson by the name of Steve. He took my credit card number and told me I would receive my camera in about two days. It never came so I called and asked for Steve and he told me he would transfer me and he did. I spoke to some lady that told me the camera was on back order and I would not receive it for 6-8 weeks. I went back into the website and the camera was instock so I called back and acted like I was someone else and wanted to buy the camera and the salesperson that I was talking to said it was a great camera and it was in stock. I then told him my story and my name and he quickly transferred me to David in billing. Well David told me that my credit card would not be billed until they shipped the camera and my camera was on backorder and I asked him why I could not have one of the camera's that they had in stock, he hung up on me. Not only did I call back several times and was put on hold forever and hung up on numerous times. I had to call and have my card canceled so that they could not use my number. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

I called to order via their toll-free phone number. The gentleman I spoke to (and I use the term loosely) was very high pressure and rude.

He insisted on trying to sell me a camera other than the one I wanted telling me that it was the 'same'. I had intended to purchase a camera body, and was told that the battery and charge did not come with it. When I asked how much the battery and charger would cost, he wouldn't disclose a sum, but kept trying to switch me to a completely different camera 'kit'.

He refused to tellme about what I did want to purchase and was extremely rude and pushy. When I couldn't get him to give me information on the camera I was interested in, I had to hang-up.

I purchesed two canon cartridges, a pg- 210 xl blk, and a cl-211 xl, from your store at the above location. Upon instilation . I noticed a low ink reading for the color cartridge, but thought nothing of it, because I had just purchased it for $26.99 plus tax.
The color was very dull, and after about 20 copys, the color had faded to the degree that the letters were unrecognizable. Upon returning the cartridge to the stote, a couple of hours later, I was informed by a stote manager Lauran that she could not give me a refund or exchange. she instructed me to contact canon.
I did not purchase from, or pay canon for these items. I have missed deadlines and wasted expensive gas, because of some unwritten policy that you and or canon has created. Iam requesting the $26.99 plus tax, be credit to my account.

This was by far the worst online shopping experience I've had. I placed an order for a Canon S95 about a week and a half before Christmas with AJRichard because it was the best price I could find online. It wasn't until after I made the purchase that I was notified that it won't be delivered until after Christmas and that I should call their customer service number. So I did, and the representative was rude and told me I'd have to pay an extra $40 to expedite it. So, I just sucked it up and just hoped it would arrive earlier than what they said. I ended up called two additional times to verify my shipping address and both representatives were rude and disrespectful. They basically told me that I was "SOL" and that I should pay the extra $40 to get it on time. With the attitudes their representatives have, I'd rather pay extra somewhere else where their customers are valued. I ended up cancelling my order since it would basically get here after the new year. They were even rude when I cancelled the order and didn't ask why or if there could be anything done. As luck would have it, Amazon actually lowered their price by $70 with free 1 day shipping so I got my Canon S95 for $229 just in time for Christmas!

Everyone needs to be aware that if you purchase anything from Carrefour, that is not there brand name item, even if they tell you you have a one year guarantee and anything goes wrong with it more than 10 days after you purchased it carrefour will only send it to the manufacturer and you will have to wait for however long it may take to send it, repair it, and send it back. I was told by a sales assistant that it could take up to 3 months to repair my printer which I purchased less that 6 months previous. Please be warned.

Ordered a Canon PowerShot 300 HS online for $195. I found it very odd that InstockDigital does not include any price or product information in the order confirmation they email you. Several days after the order was placed I received another email asking me "verify" my order by phone. I'm pretty familiar with online scams run by New York Israeli run companies, so before I called I was fully prepared to get screwed. Sure enough I found myself on the phone with an Israeli man who verified my address and had just one question for me, "Why did you not order a battery?"

"Because it comes with a battery."

"No. No battery."

"Ok. I don't want the battery. Just ship me the camera."

"But I can get you 58% off."

"That's ok. Just the camera."

"What about memory card."

"Already have one. Just the camera."

"OK. With handling and insurance, the total comes to $225 ."

"Cancel my order."

"Ok."

I wanted to purchase Canon Powershot S5IS which was advertised for $249 with free digital slave flash, tripod, lense cleaning kit and screen protectors, onl-line. I then got an e-mail from them immediately asking for me to call them about the order. They told me that if I bought pre-kitted, more expensive packages, I can have them right away. If I wanted only the Camera as advertised, I would have to wait 4 to 6 weeks. I told them I would wait 4 to 6 weeks. After 5 weeks, I sent them e-mail asking for status. No answer. I then called them, and their customer service rep told me that they are back-ordered and it would be 4 to 6 weeks. I told her I already waited 4 to 6 weeks. She said it will be another 4 to 6 weeks. I asked her how can I be sure that I would not be told another 4 to 6 weeks next time. She didn't answer this question and re-iterated that it will be another 4 to 6 weeks or that I had the option of canceling the order. I told her I would not cancel. I asked to talk to management - she told me she is the management. Unbelievable. She then told me to "have a nice day" and hung up on me.

I ordered this camera from them in July and everytime I call them they tell me it will be 4 more weeks. I guess that is why they were selling it so cheap as they will never ship it to me. They also told me that people whom pay more for the camera gete it forst. What a joke this company is as they showed it in stock the day I bought it and still show it in stock everyday since I bought it on there website. At llease they haven't charged my credit card for it yet. Thay are total loser so stay away from them if you want you item in a timely manner if at all.

Hello,

June 30, 2006 I bought canon digital camera from FRY's electronics Store #24 at Concord, California. When I bought camera I bought two years extended warranty and for camera and warranty cost 535.00 US $.

After one year my camera's lens does not come out. Then I visited to FRY's store in Concord and requested to fix or do something for my camera, because I bought two years extended warranty.

Then Fry's electronics person said they will send to canon. I agreed and waiting for it one and half month.

Then Fry called me and said I have to pay camera fixing cost over 130.00 dollars.

I really disappointed it. Because I bought camera and paid two years warranty and after one year they said I have to pay more money.

FRY electronics in Concord and Canon service, they are really do not care about customer.

How can one dispute the decision that camera repairs are not covered by the warranty? When the automatic response is that the malfunction is due to impact / liquid/ or sand there is no chance to question anything. Are any repairs actually done under warranty, or are these the standard responses to everyone?

This company advertised a product lower than other sites. Required a call back after submitting purchase. I was told that the lens "has a plastic fitting and will not permit auto-focus with Canon EOS cameras. I should get the $100 more expensive Sigma lens. It isn't listed on the Sigma website, because we are exclusive wholesalers for Sigma, and this lens has yet to be officially released in the US." I called back after first agreeing to this, because it seemed to me that the lens being sold is a $200 retail lens. He reiterated what he had said, then tried to intimidate by saying the credit card company will not withhold payment if I haven't listened to him. I then called both Sigma and Canon at their customer service numbers -- the Canon rep told me the lenses are not manufactured with anything but the magnesium fittings, and the Sigma rep told me that there is no such thing as an exclusive wholesaler, advance release of lenses, nor is there an authorized promotion of the lens he attempted to sell. I called the company, and they said they would cancel any charges.

Site advertised low price for Canon Powershot SD1100 and SD1200 cameras and then raised price on site immediately after ordering by 200%. then sent email stating that products were out of stock and backordered. I cancelled the order, bcause shipping date was never confirmed.
Now the site is not accessible any more. Too many complaints .

DO NOT ORDER from these scan artists nor any other of these "NY City" camera shops. They lie, try to upsell you and when you don't buy extras they screw you. I was told to call and confirm my order and when I did, I told that the camera was in stock and would ship same day. Well a week passed and no camera, so I called them to inquire and was told very apathetically that the camera had not shipped and was not in stock. After telling them I needed it for a vacation! There was no explanation as to why I was told it was in stock - the guy claimed that the original "customer service" person must have been confused. So I asked for a refund, he said sure and then I asked for customer service, he said it will not make a difference, I said try me. So I told my story to the wonderful and friendly CS person and at the end, he said "thanks" and hung up. DON'T BUY FROM THEM!

I too have recently queried a regular monthly payment from my credit card with the same reference numbers as yours. I have no knowledge of signing up to anything and as I virtually never use my credit cards I got into the habit of not checking my statements. Silly me. My card supplier has cancelled both this payment AND another one to a different organisation on a different card [with the same bank]. This has cost me in the region of £12 per month over a timespan of God alone knows how long.
I realise it's probably mostly my own fault but irritation doesn't begin to explain how I feel about the situation.

Horrible customer service. Purchased a PIXMA MP560 and it stopped functioning 13 months from the date of purchase. I contacted technical support and they stated that this was a hard ware issue and the unit could not be repaoired over the phone. They sent me over to "the loyalty department" where they were more than happy to sell me a refurbished unit at a reduced cost. I agreed and they shipped the unit and much to my surprise, it was missing the printhead. What kind of QA process do you have if no one even checks the print head before they ship it.

I contacted the center again and they were apologetic. They said that they would send me a replacement printer head and I would recieve it next week. Unfortunately I needed it then so I told them I would be sending the unit back and purchasing from another brand. They seemed confrontational but provided me with the RMA number. I will never purchase another Canon product again.

In addition, the piece that failed on my unit was an issue with the lubricant that Canon was aware
