The Brick - Recliner chair

I purchased a Denver recliner chair on June 15, 2023 for $2199 and was delivered on June 22, 2013. Right after the delivery I phoned their customer service to report that the product that was delivered was not functioning properly. On June 27,2023 a technician came to checked and said the switch controller was broken and needed to be replaced. Their customer service said that they will repair the chair. I told them that I paid for a new product and not a broken one that they only wanted to repair instead of replacing with a new one. I am so disappointed how this company deals with such issue.

Desired outcome: Fixing is unacceptable when you pay for something that is supposed to be new. I wanted a replacement instead period.

The Brick - LG dishwasher

I’m very disappointed about Brick service and LG. Something urgently needs to be done to their customer resolution department. I bough back in February a dishwasher through Brick, the dishwasher was defective. The Brick sales person sold the worth LG dishwasher, the Eco cycle of it is 2hr 45 minutes. If you are buying one please don’t, you might as well go with other companies. The cycle took more then 2 hours wigh drying and at the end the dishes were dirty, the water still all over the dishes. Called the technician, he said it’s defective, and left. On the system he put nothing was wrong with the dishwasher. We went back to Brick, to return it , because economically it wasn’t helping us in anyway and it wasn’t working. They refused to help because it’s LG PROBLEM, called LG they said Brick can approve the return it has nothing to do with them. So for the past few month Brick tossing us around and doing nothing, now they are saying it’s over 30 day policy they can’t make a return. They refuse to do anything. All they are good at selling , when you enter the store 100 people come to you to make a sale but when you have problem they refuse to help you. We pay money we don’t take charity from them. It’s a big company but they don’t want to take the responsibility of fixing anything. I’m writing a complain so something could be done for other people. If anyone from higher department reads this please do something. I’m going to go through social media, through small claim court anything you name it. Specially BRICK should be closed down and people should stop shopping there. If customers are reading it DO NOT BUY ANYTHING BRICK ! Specially from Kennedy and 401 location. Worst customer service from managers to sales people.

Desired outcome: Needs the dishwasher to be returned it’s too much on utility bills

The Brick - Store Manager rude and disrespectful with customers

I was bought bedroom suites from 19 William Kitchen rd, Scarborough location in 2019 April and they delivered most item separately and when dressing table not delivered long time then I went to talk with manager and he was so upset on me front of the my family and customers he don't know how to talk with customers he is so rude and real stupid parson as a manager that time I was tried to reach Brick complain side but I can't, today I try to fill my comment for other store and I saw Brick side so I share my experience I advice to people who looking furniture please stay away from this location or visit Leon's before visit Brick..

The Brick - 6 piece bed set

Purchased a 6 piece bed set in September.

It took 2 months to deliver to the store which was fine and expected. The day it arrived, we phoned the store to switch to delivery. They checked the delivery window and all was well. I was sent a link and paid for my delivery on November 22nd, 2021.

My delivery was scheduled for December 2nd. 2 days prior, I recieved an email and text confirmation of my delivery. It mentioned a member would phone me with a 3 hour delivery window. They never phoned. It took another day to get the customer service department on the phone for them to tell me that AFTER I paid for my delivery, they changed the delivery distance and no longer would deliver. They didn't offer me a refund on my delivery nor a return on money for my time off work and delay on delivery.

They mentioned they would look into it, and would phone me back in 3 days. They did not. I have phoned every day all week. Each time speaking to someone different. Each time they do not have any information on my problem.

No one is solving my problem. No one is providing me the product or service I had paid for. I am being tossed around back and forth daily.

Desired outcome: I expect my delivery, and should receive a discount/partial refund on my product.

The Brick - Whirlpool dryer (old) hauled away

Have been trying to resolve the removal of the above appliance. Not only did the store admit to their mistake of failure to remove the said item and giving one excuse/story after another and the contract delivery company giving one reason/story why it was not removed promptly and admitting to their mistake which simply means that the store took full advantage of the COVID-19 pandemic situation to make money. Whether the store was a franchise or part of the corporate store, the initial trust that I had developed because of its reputation has been ruined which can never be regained. I was planning to give them additional business, but after this horrible experience will neither do that or recommend the company to anyone. Will also be lodging a complaint with BBB and the President of The Brick (Canada).

Desired outcome: Removal of old dryer as is and hauling it away without leaving on the curb for free without asking stupid questions, bad service attitude quickly.

The Brick - Sofa

4 years ago, I bought a 5 year warranty for my sofa. Now it's broken and I wanted them to help me fix it. Due to an accident puncture and failed stitching or seam separation, and need to be fixed. They refused and said it under normal wear and tear. During the inspection, they took pictures that weren't part of the problem, and made up a false story. They said whatever the technician said was what it was. I even requested him to take some pictures of the problem on my sofa. He just ignore me and didn't care of the problem. I took a look at the picture they took on the computer, non of them were even partially part of the problem. The customer service employees were very rude to me, and didn't care about the customer opinion. Being a old customer who often recommended the Brick to other, being treated this way is outrageous. I can only hope someone can help me solve this problem.

Desired outcome: Repair/ fix the sofa

Hi my name is Stacy.
The exact same situation happened to me. I’m ready to go further with this problem.
Couches aren’t cheep and when you purchase warranty, you expect to get warranty!
What store did you purchase your couches from.
If your up to it, we can do something together and blast them.
I’m pissed and honestly I don’t want them to get away with this.
I’ve been a customer of the brick for years and I’m beside myself by the way I was treated.
Let me know!

The Brick - 43 inches 4K Television defective product / requiring a 43 inches box

To whom it may concern:

I am really very frustrated regarding a 43 inches 4K tv that my daughter purchased in February 2020. The TV just went 'BLACK' and never came back to the original state. My daughter and I went back forth with the brick with issue although/ there was no warranty the TV should still be working. I have three other Samsung TV bought at the same Brick store and I have no problem with any of them.

Samsung offered to replaced the TV, I have reached out to the Brick regarding a box to have it ship out in, but again the Brick has shown NO compassion to our problem, by telling me that they don't have a box, the sale rep I spoke with didn't asked when I needed she just say she didn't have any boxes. I asked to speak with the manager, I was told that the manager may not returned by call. I was very annoyed hearing that respond which has now prompt me to write this complaint. I will like for a manager call me back asap to discuss this matter. Please see below for my contact info. Please review and contact me as per request. Thanks

The Brick - managers rude attitude

My family has a long history of purchases through the Brick. We were looking for a reclining couch. My wife and I have chronic pain and other issues, so comfort is a must ! On Sunday feb 23, we visited the Kennedy Commons location, they had the Cabrio couch and the matching love seat on clearance, $898/$878. We were told that it was the floor model that is on clearance. They had another same set, floor model but with a 30% discount. I couldn't get an explanation, if they are both floor models what's the difference? I decided to focus on the clearance set. I said that I would take the three seater and the love seat if we could get a deal on both. The sales person went to the store manager and presented our proposal, for both couch and love seat, $1500. delivered. He came back with $1575 plus delivery. We agreed to the $1575 and tried to negotiate the delivery. The manager became disrespectful, while speaking to the sales man in front of us then he canceled the sale and we left the store. This set has a motorized head support, this was the set we wanted. My wife and I went back to the store the next day, the set was still on clearance and the price was the same. After waiting and asking for help, we felt ignored, even though the same manager and several sales women were near the office and none came to help. I went to the other side of the store and asked sales person to help. I explained that we are interested in purchasing both units and was looking for a good price! He said this is the price plus delivery and tax. I explained that we were there yesterday and the price offered. He took it to the manager who again started shouting at us about that was yesterday's price and how are we supposed to know who you are? I reminded the manager of the price offered and while shouting bumped up the price and again very rudely said the price is the price we don't deal here?!?
We have had delivery thrown in to sweeten the deal in the past and we went to other brick stores on Monday, who offered to throw in delivery, unfortunately, they didn't have the set we want. Off the top of my head, we purchased: sectionals, washer and dryers, fridges and stoves. The brick was always the go to store when we needed furniture. This person, the store manager, is a complete idiot and I didn't realize that the brick has no loyalty to long time customers? I went to and walked out of this store a couple of times while trying to purchase the same items, remember, we agreed on the price they offered, it was just the cost of delivery and he canceled. While he was being rude, I said to him, I'm here to make a purchase not to be disrespected by you.
