I brought my car in to have it's wheels and tires balanced after I noticed one of the wheel weights fell off. The techs then took all of the wheel weights of and tried balancing them before coming back and saying the wheels couldn't be balanced. They were perfectly balanced up until the week before I brought it in. I then had to purchase new tires to the tune of 1900$ as I was going on a road trip and the Jeep was undriveable with the wheels without any weights. I then proceeded to take the wheels and tires to another shop who had no problem balancing them. It seems like the tech was either in experienced with balancing larger tires (305 65 R17) or was completely incompetent. After this I know have the new set which I shouldn't have had to buy in the first place as the old ones only had 7000 km on them, as well as the old set I have no use for.
