Hi I'm a student at UBC and this location gets mostly student customers in need of coffee and the delicious food from Tim Hortons. Its the closest one to most classes and main buildings. Everytime I order here the service is terrible. Today's experience drew the line for me and I had to submit a complaint. I ordered a cream of broccoli soup which was on the board. Unfortunately they didnt have it, but not a problem. I ordered the cauliflower and cheese soup instead. I wanted to replace the bun with a croissant. And another lady walked by the cashier and said sorry we can't do that because we have to charge for that. I said thats fine I know that. I asked to get the croissant toasted with butter, as I always do at all locations. The lady in the back again said sorry we cant do that because the toaster burns it. The cashier just stares at me with no smile and looks absolutely uninterested and disgusted. So I said thats ok just give me the bun that comes with it and toast it. They both continued with unhappy and rude facial expressions as I paid for my food. I normally don't write complaints to companies, but this location has the worst customer service I've experienced. Students are already going through stress and financial issues. We're just trying to do well in school and a coffee from a happy Tim Hortons worker brightens our day; it makes a big difference. I hope this review can help make the location receive better customer service training or place courteous and kind workers.
