I ordered and paid for a Tuffshed garage on June 26 of this year. As of today October 13 I am still waiting for engineering to complete the final drawings and apply for a permit to build my garage. I understand that the drawings could take up to 8 weeks to complete but 14 weeks is ridiculous. Could I get some kind of explanation as to why the process is taking so long. I keep getting the same run around when I contact my representative.

Installer came today, 9/15/2023. Install professionalism does not even rate a Star. Roof is incomplete, the peg board was damaged upon delivery and the installer installed it anyway, Floor is made of some weak, inferior type of composite that the installer damaged three times... then he attempted to cover it up with paint. UNACCEPTABLE BUILDING PRACTICES. Uneven cuts in siding, loose nails and untrimmed building wrap. There are a zillion protruding nails from the roofing nails. Installer spent a large portion of the day on the roof. Corner trim not properly fitted, Daylight can be seen through side walls. There are scuff's on the wood siding, Paint drips and just a plain nasty paint job.

I really don’t know where to start. My tough journey shed started back in December 2022. I went through three sales reps before my shed site was ready and I could have them finally delivered. They came and installed it on site, and I thought it look good until I took a closer look. The Quality is is OK, but the construction is subpar. All of the hurricane straps were placed to low in a position where I would not be able to put drywall on my walls. I called them back to have it repaired, they fixed a few of them, and the rest of them are the same, keep in mind I ordered a premier tile ranch with a residential door in windows to convert this into an office. I also noticed that a few of the A-frame’s were tilted, and the end caps weren’t framed well and you can see exposed nails. I sent my last detailed email to them eight days ago and I have not gotten any responses. Don’t expect a great customer support experience if you decide to buy one of the sheds. Cost me $10,000

We placed our order for the tuff shed on July 23, 2022 with DS. DS was very sweet and friendly and patient with us since April of 2022 that we were deciding on this purchase. Waited for the permit to get approved. The permit didn't get approved because some corrections needed to be made on 02/07/23. We were kept informed by JP the permit tech. On 3/7/23 received an email from JP that our permit had been issued. During this approval of the permit we were experiencing a lot of rain and bad weather. We kept getting text messages from the order department from Tuff shed to give them a date on when the site will be ready. We told them because of the rain we cannot have the cement started. Finally we had good news from the weather and called Concrete Co.. Asked them to schedule us to start the 1st step that was on 4/14/23. They came the next day Saturday 4/15/23. We moved out all our belongings on that Friday night (4/14/23) because they were coming the next day. All our holiday decorations, beach chairs, turkey deep fryer, breadmaker, etc were now out exposed to the weather. The Footing/Foundation/Slab Inspection was completed on 4/15/23 and JP was able to get the inspector to come on 4/18/23. The inspection was not approved!. The inspector said a survey was required. We contacted JP and he was even surprised about this. Seemed like this was something new to him. We had no idea what this meant. JP told us that this was a survey of the property and that Tuff Shed did not pay for this! We were like what! This is part of the shed!. I contacted one survey company which took two weeks to get us a quote, I contacted a second one which took even longer for the quote. We hired one at a rate of $1756.00 the cheapest. Then it takes two weeks to get on their schedule. We got scheduled on 5/22/23. I called after the survey and was told it would take 10 working days for the report. I received via email the report on 6/5/23 and quickly emailed it to Jesus, who scheduled the inspector for 6/8/23. The inspector came and ok’d to the next step. The concrete was poured on 6/9/23, the very next day. Emailed scheduling on 6/12/23, rec’d a response from KL asking for the permit card, and pictures of the concrete and said C? will follow up as soon as that was received. We sent info the same day 6/12/23. Next day there was no response. Waited for scheduling to come (6/27/23) and came and only put up plywood on the roof and left shingles and door leaning on our fence, and nothing was said to us and left. I spoke to KL and didn't know why the contractors did not complete the job she would get back to me. I called her back by 5:30 that same day and said she can possibly get them back next week since they did not work on Saturdays. The following week they finally came and completed the work. I received a voicemail from JP that the final inspection was scheduled for 7/24/23. We were finally able to move the stuff into the new shed that took from order date to final inspection date 1 year and one day. Very disappointed and spent almost more than expected with stuff getting ruined out of our previous shed.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER

Tuff Shed requires payment up front, prior to completing Docu Sign paperwork, scheduling of installation, and installation of shed. Once you provide payment for shed GOOD LUCK in getting a customer service employee to reach out to you for scheduling installation or to answer questions. No follow-up from Tuff Shed salesman. NO CALL NO SHOW on day of installation. I was provided one quote from salesman, provided card for payment, billing statement arrived with higher price. No professionalism. All acceptable behavior by management.

My husband and I purchased a tough shed at home Depot on Jupiter Lane in Richardson, Texas on 5/24/23. We were told we would be contacted within 3 to 5 business days to begin the process of installation. No one contacted us. The company ended up contacting us two and a half weeks later while we were on vacation. My husband contacted them promptly the following Monday 6/12/23 (on our return )for a walk through and install. We were told it would take another week to install and there was no walk through needed. On 6/19/23 a representative called my husband to talk to him about installation. They let him know that it would be another week before they could install. My husband asked about a walkthrough. They stated it was not necessary, but they would not be able to deliver the shed because we had a bar over our fence. We were instructed to dismantle our fence or have them throw the panels over the fence to build the shed in the backyard. Otherwise, we can pay an additional $600 to have walls prefabricated in our yard.

Hello. I originally contacted Tuff Shed on either Oct 20 or 21. Maybe a one week time frame is normal, I don't know, but when I couldn't get a quote online due to some kind of glitch, I filled out the form online to reach out to the closest Tuff Shed for that quote & next day I was contacted by Nick w/a quote but I wasn't sure my site would be compatible w/free installation. I may be wrong but I think there was a maximum grading allowed of 4 inches. So I asked for a site inspection. I explained I had been saving for this shed for almost 4 long years, was kind of desperate to get quantities of boxes & misc items out of my house. Nick wrote me back Friday Oct 21 "I have reached out to our scheduling department to gather possible times and dates for the site inspection." I didn't hear from him on Monday, I had already informed him on Friday of total flexibility, I might have used the phrase I have no life, I am here every day since I am elderly/handicapped, so any day at all is fine, I just didn't want an early A.M. appointment. I emailed him on Monday, 'just a reminder to please remember I can do any day at all. Never heard back. Next day I then called the office, Nick answered, I asked to speak to the manager, he informed me he was in Apex, I asked when he'd return & he said he did not know. I then went to the same forum I used to get the quote generated at Tuff Shed & asked if the manager could please contact me as I didn't want to deal with Nick McDonough at all. That was yesterday and it is now afternoon a day later, and still no email from the store manager

I got hurt back in July and my supervisor didn't filled a workers comp claim until several weeks later. My hours are being cut. I'm being discriminated against because I'm on restrictions and I can't do my normal duty. I have been singled out from my supervisors and am constantly getting verbal abuse and was also threatened by a supervisor asking is I wanted to go outside. I haven't received any reimbursement for my lost wages that total in the thousands.

filed a complaint, tuff shed responded and said the need more info. Sent everything they asked for and have not heard back for over 3 days now. had a 12 x24 shed built on propery yet, shed when put up windowns were not sealed or no nail holes were caulked ..Why for the money we paid this should and woukd have been done by a contractor. I ordered a custom tuff shed to go on the side of our house. When the sales person called me back, I told them the area on the side of the house was 6’2’. My original design was 4’x16’ but I was told I could push it to 5’x16’ as the installers would have enough room to work. The turn around time was less than a week and we quickly had a pad build as the area the shed was going on is quite muddy. There is a pecan tree growing behind were the shed was to be placed. When the installers came today, they told us there was no way for them to build the shed in spot as they had. I to work and the city of Austin requires a 5’ easement from a fence. We now have a custom shed we spent over $10k on and $1k for the pad placement and they are all useless now. When we called tuff shed, it took almost 2 hours to get a call back. They said the installers said the tree was in the way. The installers said the tree wasn’t the issue, it’s the lack of space. We were also charged an extra free for onsite assembly due to the dimensions of the area. The installers also said they only received a text from the company cancelling the job with no explanation. So I’ve lost $11k plus a day of work and have nothing to show for this. The installers said this has been happening frequently in the last few months. The installers lost wages today too and this is not fair to them. Now we were stuck with a shed of odd dimensions, a useless pad site, not a proper area to place the shed. We tried to communicate with tuff shed but were unable to get in touch with anyone capable of making decisions.

I signed a contract for a custom shed May 25, 2022 and I STILL HAVE NO SHED INSTALLED after 3 months when I was told it would take only 6 weeks.

I STILL have no shed and Tuff Shed charged my credit card on Sunday when Tuff Shed is CLOSED and I can not contact Tuff Shed, for 90% of the payment.

I HAVE NO SHED ON MY PROPERTY!

They were not authorized to charge my credit card.

I never authorized the second payment OR for Tuff Shed to KEEP my credit card information.

My shed was installed [protected] and the large heavy door was installed with only two to three of the required 4 screws. The door because it is heavy is now pulling away from the structure and is a dangerous hazard. The screws used at the time of installation are too short, they do not go far enough into the main frame structure to hold the door securely. I am very disappointed in the installation after waiting for over six months because of covid to get it erected. I want someone who is competent to be sent to my home to secure the door the way it should have been in the first place. I will also file a complaint with the better business bureau and carl racine the attorney general for washington dc.

I want a response regarding my concern. My original order # is 0025314. I am using proper writing technique that requires capital letters for the beginning of sentences and for proper nouns. I keep getting a message that I am using to many capital letters. Your system needs to be updated.

Installer was scheduled 8-12 arrived at 4:30. Leaned huge pieces of wood against our glass wall when I told them to put it on an empty concrete slab, left 30 nails sticking out in the corners to rip our hands on, didn’t paint the trim during the install, installed 4 anchors when they charged us for 6, didn’t install the door drip strip when the installer built the shed and the warranty manager showed up on our property when I was out of town no notice and tried to get into our shed in our backyard without permission,

We bought a tough shed and were told we had 72 hours to review for any changes and a two week lead time before anything built. Suddenly got an message they were coming the next day. We didn't even get 2 days to review. Further thy failed to offer us what they offer other customers such as a window option. We need help and for over a month, they call center has 'sent an email to a general manager to call us back' and we have never recieved a call. I am so struck at lack of service and lies. They don't even care to call you back. They may be tough with sheds but they are weak with customer service. Your customers shouldn't be suffering like this. You got my money so now you dont talk to me? Unacceptable. We will be reporting to the BBB.

Bought a shed and they (Vegas office) scheduled it to be installed on 7/1/2022 between 080O and 1000. they ever showed, but the installer called at 0955 and said they had a scheduling problem, and would be here the next day. I called Vegas and they said there was no scheduling issues and they would call the installer and call me right back that call never came.

The next day 7/2/2022, came around and again no installer, but they called me later that evening and said they had a family emergency, but promised to show up the next day 7/3/2022 at 0700.

Next day 7/3/2022, 0700 no installer they finally called at 1030 and said they had a flat tire but would be here in a few minutes. They finally showed up at 1130and only worked until 1330, (2 whole hours) and said they would be back on 7/5/2022 at 0700 sharp to finish the job They left debris, nails and crap all over the site, which is very dangerous for my family and grandkids.

Last night 7/4/2022 I verified they were coming at 0700 as promised and they confirmed. Of course today at [protected] they were once again a not show and finally sent a text saying we have to re-schedule for an unknown date because they a trailer issue.

They left all the materials here so they don't need a trailer. This mess has cause me to loose valuable time from work, family vacation and other issues due to stress, and no one from VEGAS WLIL NOT RETURN MY CALLS.

I went into Home Depot to pick a shed. I picked one with an overhead loft of six feet. I called and asked for the same model.

INSTEAD I GOT 4 FOOT LOFT.

I HAVE CALLED AND THIS HAS NOT BEEN REMEDIED.

Do not buy from Tuff Shed in Terrell Texas - location HOME DEPOT TERRELL !

I am sure many of you saw this post about a damaged storm building located at Home Depot Terrell yesterday . I contacted Elizabeth as the text shows in the pictures. We agreed on a price of 3500 to have it moved to my location. I drove to Home Depot Terrell texas to arrange payment for the building. Elizabeth said I could pay for it with my Home Depot credit card and receive a discount. I handed her my master card - she said no need- she would let me come back with the Home Depot credit card.

I was driving back to pay for the building and she called and said Sean Hough of Tuff SHed had backed out of sale. I spent an entire day and paid a deposit to a contractor so it could built on my property .

Elizabeth was apologetic and said she couldn’t do anything but she would let Sean know that we had an agreement . She had posted this building all over Facebook.

Sean finally called me 5 hours later. I really thought we could work something out but he was dishonest and talked over me not letting me speak. He said everything was still negotiating- those of you that saw the post know it said “ buy storm damaged building for 3500 “ - He said he didn’t care if I posted on Facebook - he wouldn’t offer any resolution - wow how is that customer service ? He didn’t care. That’s exactly what he said.

What I can’t understand is that this was a completed deal - he didnt care that I lost money based on Seans word and Elizabeth’s word. How can any business care so little about customers who spent time and hard earned money. Tuff Shed - this is so wrong ! If you care so little for people why would anyone do business with you.

I am a very busy person I do not write negative statements that I can’t back up. I do not write negative reviews because I’m too busy. But this situation was handled so terribly I really want everyone who is considering an addition to reconsider and stop and remember how terribly they treated me. They clearly don’t care. I was super excited to get this building. The world is a hard enough place right now without having to lose money trying to purchase. Now I am out money and I have no building. That’s just not right.

i will never recommend tuff shed scheduled first appointment was call 10 minutes before dead line saying my shed was left behind and needed to reschedule i wasn’t happy but agreed rescheduled an hour and half after deadline 2nd time called and got the run around finally 3 hours after deadline was told needed to be rescheduled was highly upset they took $250 off rescheduled again finally came and installed 3 hours after deadline on the 3rd try but didn’t finish shingles now schedule for finishing the shingles 3 weeks later and still no shingles and get even get ahold of anyone

Installers called said eta was 8 showed up about 840 my building isn’t level at all the doors were on upside down tuff shed sign was upside down on the bottom of the door and you can see the screw holes in the bottom the drip cap is bent like crazy The handle is hard to turn because the installers said they didn’t have the right size bit while trying to do it anyway they chipped away a Peice of the wood on the door also all I heard when I went outside was vulgar language even my neighbors said something to me about it use of the n word which I am very offended of that
