I was a customer for 2 years, policy renewed every 6 months with a rate increase and the amount they wanted this renewal was twice the rate I started with 2 years ago. I cancelled 10 days before the policy would auto-renew and the bristol west website said they would send me a refund for the 10 days left on my policy that I prepaid. That refund never came, 2 months later I had a collection notice for unpaid balance, when I login online my balance is zero but when I call in they say there was an early cancellation fee, if I had waited 10 days to cancel then I would not have been charged an extra $50. I let them know that no where on their online portal or during the cancellation process was a cancellation fee ever mentioned and they responded that it was the law in California and they don't have to disclose to the consumer before/during cancellation. I asked for details about the law they are citing and they said "we can't send you any information, just trust us its the law". They are a crooked company that will find any way they can to bill you extra, even if you cancel your policy they will continue to bill you for made up fees and their customer service will not help you at all, the customer service is so poor it's insulting.

I've only been with Bristol West for 5 months. I recently took a rock thru the left headlight of my 2018 Audi Q5. I thought I'd be able to replace the part myself but after trying to buy the headlight assembly from Audi, I was told, based on the VIN the part was not $1100 but rather $2500. I contacted the dealer and they quoted me $4900 to provide the part and install it. So much for DIY so I filed a comprehensive claim against my policy. The idiot appraiser I was assigned, Lisa Hannable tried to value the replacement part for $877. This idiot also provided an alternate part source which turned out to be a junk yard in California.I contacted a 2nd repair shop and they told me the part number this [censored] was originally quoting was wrong, it was for a vehicle with LED headlight, not an HID.

The shop called the appraiser so she tried again, again quoting another part provider, yup, from a 2nd junk yard, this time in Minnesota. My repair shop told me after speaking with the local Audi dealer, Lisa appraiser still isn't getting it. She wants my repair shop to warranty the junk yard part even though fitment, quality is not guaranteed. That will only come using an OEM part.

It's been 3 weeks since I filed my claim and I am no closer to getting my car repaired, trying to argue with a [censored] that doesn't know squat about cars. The appraiser, Lisa Hannable's job is to save the company's bottom line, not ensure I get an appropriate, timely and quality repair.

I will attempt to leave emotion out of this. Step-Father passsed away this past weekend and I dont wanna deflect that on anyone else. Here are the facts. I am the only policy holder on this account. I noted this morning my payment to bristol west was nearly 3 times my normal payment. The only correspondence I have had with Bristol West was signing and submitting my contract on August 24, 2024. Prior to that I have not been contacted at all and I can prove this with my call and email history. When calling about billing they did not have my phone number or email even in their system until I had provided it again when i called this morning. Any correspondence was not with me obviously due to the agent failing to add this contact info to me account. You will also note that I am the only person on this policy and you have nothing authorizing anyone to make decisions on my behalf which violates what is stated in my contract regarding privacy. Even this morning when I called this it states it is a a recorded call your customer service stated on the recorded call that they did not have any of the correct contact information despite having provided it again on August 22, 2024 when I had the contract emailed to be signed which I immediately did. I dont much care who they have emailed or called but I know it definetly aint me as reflected on my phone or email usage. Furthermore the contract posted on August 5, 2024 shows a payment schedule for payments starting in July shows nothing other than payments being the amounts of $83.17 to $93.03 through December. Despite this you took $289 out of my account for August. Again we know there was no contact with me due to not having any contact info listed for me as stated by customer service this morning. I am on full disability with a fixed income so an extra $200 is crippling for me unless someone wants to go pay for prescriptions for me. This needs to be corrected immediately and your policy of releasing inform needs to be explained to customer service. They did call my mother and stepfather but again I am the only person on this policy and never authorized anyone to share my information. If this is not corrected and the extra $200 refunded to my bank account then I will pursue the failure of Farmers Insurace and Bristol West to abide by thier own privacy policy violating the contract submitted on August 24, 2024 with Briston West showing it to be posted on August 5, 2024.

My name is Renee Rhodes and I am filing a complaint and claim against Schneider Trucking Company, I was informed that Bristol West takes claims for Security National Insurence Company thru this company. I was involved in a accident on March 4th 2024 at Planet Fittness parking lot located at 610 Hegenburger Rd. Oakland Ca 94621@8 :10am. I was parked in a stall on lot and Schneider Truck with a 53 foot trailer attached to it hit me from behind , it pushed my truck half foot forward. I got out my truck to talk with the driver a African American male. He did not stop I asked him to stop but he continued to drive trying to get out parking lot. I was only able to get info off truck itself to research in finding info to file claim. I was contacted by a Jessica Leanard adjuster ll from INS Insurence Company she was suppose to be the adjuster well after that email she told me to disregard the email because she was the the insurer at the time of accident. She looked on a website to tell me who is resposibled for accident, she told me Security National Insurence Company is responsible. I was informed that Bristol West is doing claims for Security National Insurence Company. So here I am filing the claim finally with you guys.

olThis has to be the worst insurance company ever. We went through Farmers and got put into Bristol West insurance. We were paying over 289.00 for 2 cars to be insured. On March 3rd I had received a letter in the mail saying that I had to call my agent and pay 189.93 to make sure the policy was kept current because we had switched bank accounts. So I called and made the payment with my agent and had received a confirmation number.

Unbeknownst to us, they had cancelled our policy. I received a letter from the state of Illinois telling me I had to prove that I had insurance on my car otherwise my registration would be suspended. I then tried to reach out to my agent and they are no longer in the business. I then called Bristol West customer service line to tell them that i needed them to log in and send in that I had insurance. It was then that I was told that they had cancelled our policy. I was shocked to say the least. they told me that the 189.93 i had paid on March 3 2023 was to cancel my policy. I was stunned. I have never heard of paying money to cancel your policy before and why would I pay almost 200.00 if I wanted my policy canceled. They then informed me that I have been without insurance for 2 whole months! Now I would like to know how they can cancel my policy and not even notify me. That makes zero sense.

Here’s how this company operates. If you are on someone else’s policy. They come after you for any money that other person owes. They will lie and cheat to get the money. Even as in my case after 5 months of insuring me on my own policy. I either paid what was owing on my ex’s policy or they say I had a lapse in insurance and they will cancel my policy if I don’t now pay after 5 months of insurance the added fee of exactly the same amount as my ex’s policy bill.

bristol west REFUSED to transfer the insurance

bristol west REFUSED me a refund

now 11 months later

bristol west still REFUSES to send an email on what exactly they need from me

now after 11 months tells me they are going to investigate the matter

11 months

and still they REFUSE to give me my refund

what will it take

another YEAR?

maybe be 2050 bristol west will make a decision

framers has been horrible in this whole matter

ever time I contact bristol west they want something new and state theynever recived a thing before hand

I chatted with 5 online chat agents, was rudely disconnected, my wife was mistreated as she in a authorized policy holder as well, we we both told to verify unnecessarily as we were both logged in, I was repeatedly refused a supervisor, and told a supervisor would not chat with me unless I verified to the rude agent's liking and after I verified all my personal information (which I was previously informed that I had to only verify 2 pieces of personal information, previously) the agent has lied and falsified statements in a chat after I told this agent I have verifying documentation stating otherwise ECT and asked this agent to please stop lying on me, falsifying statements about me, to me, during a chat initiated by me.

I obtained an FR-44 insurance policy on 3/17/21 paid in full for 6 months and Bristol West failed to fax over the proof to the DMV/Tallahassee. My license was suspended on July 8, 2021 because Bristol West failed to submit the required documents requested by Tallahassee back in March. I placed a call to Bristol West today July 27, 2021 and asked what was the reason for this error and how can I avoid going through this and get my license and re-instate they said it would take 7 to 10 business days which is unacceptable given the fact that my license is suspended now.

I bought Bristol West 1 year Auto Ins and made 2- 6 months payment each year At the end of 3 years I did not renew and bought from another co. In my 40 years of buying auto ins I never paid monthly (and so any carry over would have to be at least 1-6 month policy payment for the next policy year) At the end of each policy year I usually shop around for a better deal and then decide whether to move on or renew and I never had a problem doing so . I was shocked when a collection co. called about a passed payment for one month, claiming I owed for the first month of a new policy year which I never renew

Bristol west cannot get away with this scam, and other non insurance companies are doing the same renewal without consent...class action threat is our only hope. These companies have no respect for consumers.

I had recently used my bank account for payments EFT. After cancelling that option of payment and for two months had been paying check by mail. The second month i had paid my bill, was also in a three way auto accident. When I called my car insurance, they told me that my policy had been cancelled two days prior, for lack in payment. They wanted an extra $8.90 for the month that i was unaware of. However, they cashed my check that i sent them, and now i owe the other car insurance over 20K since my car insurance is not keeping up their end of service. I just want to know how can they cancell my insurance but yet cash the check that i sent to them?

I was told by the insurees claim representative Mr. Harrelson that he was not going to pay for all the days I rented a car because the car should have been fixed in 3 days. The reason why the car sat at the shop in pieces was because Mr. Harrelson refused to put new parts on my car, so when these parts he "approved" were ordered they did not fit my car. To quote the mechanic"the part was cheaply made".

From the very begining this insurance has given me the runaround about everything. Their "appraiser" did not write down that my car was pulling to the right when he looked at my car and so of course Bristol West is trying to get out of paying for that also.
