We paid for five weeks (35 days) at a VRBO in Sudbury for work. We arrived on Sunday. It rained Tuesday night. Wednesday morning the roof was leaking and there was water dripping through the light fixture.
We left immediately because that's a safety & fire hazard. Ten hours later owner says he fixed the leak after it stopped raining. I've fixed many roof leaks. There's no way to know that where his handy man applied roofing tar is where the leak is. Also, just because it stopped raining doesn't mean the the roof doesn't leak anymore or that the ceiling light fixture is not wet.
Owner won't refund for the remaining days, and VRBO is believing the owner fixed the leak and backing the owner's refusal to refund
The 55MB mp4 won't upload, but you can see the water on the light fixture. Also, the video is on reddit:

Recommendation: Stay away from VRBO
