The eating disorder unit or programme at this hospital is horrendous. When people are sent there for some sort of aid and support when they are struggling instead they get forced and pressured into suddenly getting better over night, or told that there's people worse off than them. As a place that deals with mental illness, or with trained specialists whose job is to provide relief, the therapy & sessions aren't orchestrated in an appropriate way, a child or a young teenager is sent Away in hopes of them recovering not forcing them into recovery or putting them in an even more uncomfortable position. It is not acceptable at all, eating disorders are so different for every individual them but it is astonishing even people who are trained in that area can be so careless and lack lustre when it comes to tackling a Problem like this with a patient who has been having it hard for quite some time. If you are going to offer a service that is beneficial then understand what recovery truly is and how someone heals which if you didn't already know is in their own time, and forcing anyone to do anything when they are not in the right shape of mind is lunacy. I think this place needs to reconsider it's approach in some areas of what they do for people who are struck by eating disorders because sometimes you are doing more bad than good.
