BNI Coastal Heights

I am raising this about BNI Coastal Heights in Joondalup, Perth WA, and about how BNI handled my paid membership.

I paid for my seat in good faith. At the time I had an employee who was a member of a different BNI chapter. When that employee and I had a falling out, I was the one who lost the seat I had paid for, despite being the person who paid. BNI attempted to resolve it by restoring my access and giving me a seat at the Coastal Heights chapter, and then removed me from that seat as well. The outcome is that I paid my money, was moved from one arrangement to another, and ended up out of pocket with no membership and no refund.
Separately, I had an accident and was unable to attend for about three weeks. Rather than any understanding, I received a formal letter regarding missed sessions and a warning that I would be removed. During that same period I had been managing the chapter's social media at no charge, and I was criticised for not posting while I was injured. When I asked members to supply content to work with, I was told it was my job to produce it, and I was then criticised whenever I did post. Throughout the process I was made to feel belittled and talked down to.

In my honest opinion this is not how a professional organisation should treat a paying member, and I would caution anyone considering this chapter to speak to former members first.

Desired outcome: A refund of the membership I paid for and did not receive, and a formal acknowledgement of how the seat and my removal were handled and an apology for how i was treated by all the mobbers
