BJ's Wholesale Club - coupons

I have been a member for several years and I am sick and tired of dealing with coupons. It's 2020, why are we clipping coupons like its the 1960's. Why can't sale items adjust price automatically like everywhere else I shop. I got tired of waiting on line for a coupon book so I got the bjs app. Today there were two coupons for Dixie paper plates so I bought plates. After I checked out I realized the coupon didn't work. I asked a customer service person the reason and she reviewed the fine print, which I cant see, your app doesn't allow to make it bigger, and there was a technical reason for both coupons not working. So I gave her the plates and asked for a refund. She couldn't help me, only the service desk can help. Of course another line. I asked for a manager to come and give me a credit so I didn't have to wait on another line but she didn't come. So I went to the service desk and waited. As I was receiving my credit the mgr showed up. I told her that Bjs needs to get rid of the coupons but she made it clear that was above her pay grade. I showed her the coupon app and explained that I can't see the fine print. She suggested I go into settings and change the font in my phone. Now I need to change my phone to be able to shop at Bjs. I told her the solution is that I will never shop at Bjs again and have to deal with this nonsense ongoing. That satisfied her as she clearly couldn't care less.

I have many options of places to shop that I don't have to act like I'm living in the 1960s.
Good luck
